Fantastic! Haven't been here for over 15 years and the food is still great đ highly recommend and will definitely be back and not leave it so long!
First time trying out a lovely old Italian place. We thoroughly enjoyed the ragĂș penne, duck special with risotto and veal scalopini. Food came our super quick and fresh from the pan. Loved it!
Always a nice meal here. Great service and nice ambience. The menu hardly ever changes but it is all really tasty. The Veal with mushrooms is my favourite.

Another nice Italian restaurant in town near eastern suburbs. Average nice inner decorations - simple, nice and tidy.
Services - waitress was slightly clumsy but has very very good manner. She apologises few times for her clumsiness. She is really friendly and helpful. Food and drinks served at a good pace.
Food - serving here is really big. Even entree is like main for me. I would recommend one entree share between two. The gnocchi here is really good especially cook with sage and garlic with but butter brown sauce. Homemade gnocchi is fluffy, cook to perfection and fresh. The risotto is pretty good too, the seafood served are all very fresh and cook to perfection. Calamari not too Chewy, prawns and fishes are just nicely cook, not overcook. The highlight dish for the night is sautéed prawns with shallots, garlic and brandy finished with light saffron and fish veloute. It is absolutely delicious, very well seasoned - no fault dish!
Drinks - quite a great selection of wine list. Staffs are good at recommending which wine to go with the dishes you order.
Enjoy the night thoroughly. Love the food served here. Was too full to try dessert. I would definitely be back to this restaurant soon.

It has been a good week for my family so thought we would have a celebratory dinner. Asked where they wanted to go, Garnet picked Ambrosini's. We have not been there for a few years so I was particularly happy with the choice as I only have fond memories.
Upon arrival we were warmly greeted by the staff and seated. The decor has barely changed over the years but there actually is no reason to change as it is very appealing and very well maintained.
The tables are a little small for four and there was a constant shuffle of glasses and plates.
For my entree I had gnocchi and it was great, an absolute must have item for those with a healthy appetite as the serving is generous. The gnocchi them selves are beautifully cooked and the sauce is very tasty and well balanced.
I followed this with veal and mushrooms (has a much more impressive name on the menu). The veal was extremely tender and well prepared, the mushrooms were also full of flavour but the sauce was a little bland. The main course is served with a bowl of vegetables to share. The rest of the family enjoyed their meals as well.
Desert was the creme brûlée with gelato. A nice desert but the gelato was grainy (Michele's desert had the same issue). The others had the brandy snap baskets and they looked good and apparently were delicious.
In summary, the staff are professional, the decor appealing and the food good. Will be back soon.
Good service and lovely food. I'm always on the hunt for a decent spaghetti marinara and this place always satisfies. Staff always happy to answer any queries.
A lovely evening. Gnocchi so delicate and fresh, rich and tasty tomato sauce. Veal cooked well with polenta, a great idea. Service good, perhaps a bit slow to start. Warm welcome and farewell. Will be coming back.

Delicioso. Just left Ambrosini's after a fantastic lunch with my colleagues. The service was excellent from my initial call to ask about availability, right through to pre-ordering our meals, and finally indulging in their delicious dishes. They were more than happy to accommodate us spot on opening time, due to our limited lunch window.
Between the six of us, we had 1 x "Pasta Tradizionale spaghetti with a âNapoletanaâ sauce"; 3 x "Gamberoni al Zafferano Sauteed king prawns with shallots, garlic & brandy, finished in a light saffron & fish veloute", and 2 x "Gnocchi Burro e Salvia A rustic dish of homemade potato gnocchi with sage & garlic toasted in a nut brown butter". These were also served with complimentary vegetables for the table to share. I don't often have room for dessert, however couldn't resist a "Mousse al cioccolato e Frangelico Dark chocolate and Frangelico mousse with berry compote". The entrĂ©e gnocchi was more than enough to satisfy my appetite, especially as I was eagerly awaiting the mousse to complete the experience. Others opted for "Budino al Caramello Creme caramel accompanied with a lemon scented vanilla gelato", and "Fragole nel Cestino A brandy snap basket filled with liqueured strawberries topped with a chilled Kahlua zabaglione cream".
We all agreed that it was a top choice, and certainly the most upmarket in the vicinity of our office.
First Class. Always a pleasure to have good food served with a smile in a friendly family owned restaurant. Consistently good, reasonable wine prices, prompt service and a great menu with terrific daily specials. Nothing not to like.

We couldnât fault our dining experience. A very sophisticated and classy restaurant with exception service and attention to detail. All of our plates left the table cleaned right off. Two of us devoured the seafood pasta which overflowed prawns, squid and fish. We will be back
We were greeted with smiles upon entry, the restaurant has a contemporary look with soft lighting and candle lit tables. Could not fault the service, aside from trainee staff learning hick-ups but it gave us all something to laugh about together for the night.
The northern Italian dishes we had were rich in flavours, the drinks were fabulous, I love that the pretty butter complimented the warm side rolls. Although the potato gnocchi melted in your mouth, it needed slightly more pinch of salt so did the stracciatella, the veal was perfectly tender, the ragĂč was perfectly cooked, and the oysters were fresh. The house made desserts were good and coffee came with complimentary Biscotti di Meliga. Definitely had a fine dining experience.
The rest rooms could do with a revamp to suit with the rest of the decor.
Street Parking can be a little challenging
Absolutely love amazing food here! We enjoyed every single dish, very yummy and beautifully served. Staff here is friendly, patient and knowledgeable too

Pasta wasn't excellent (would not recommend) however the fish options are perfection! Get the prawns and any dessert and you'll have an excellent time!

Sumptuous Food that's obviously cooked with passion!!! Highly recommended & well deserving of our 5 Stars & we'll definitely be adding Ambrosini's to our favourites!
