Review Yes Thai Restaurant - Oatley

The food here is lovely. I must say that one of the ladies who serves here is most unfriendly, very robotic and off handed. This is a shame because the lady on the other nights is lovely. The kitchen staff are nice too. This one unfriendly lady does spoil the experience though! The owners need to do something about her. The food is great though and the decor under the new management is nice.

Have dined here couple times before and food was nice. Tonight I ordered takeout and was very disappointed. The massaman beef was nice. The coconut rice was so-so. The padseeew was less than good. But the crispy cashw chicken was disgusting!! I still dont know what we were eating. Very stale. Awful. Don't think we'll be going back

Last time we had food from this restaurant a couple of weeks ago it was okay, but this time it was dreadful! We spent nearly $100 for 5 people. The coconut rice was wrong! Couldn’t figure out if it was undercooked or overcooked but it did not taste like coconut rice. How can they get rice wrong? The sauce for the green curry was floury and bad tasting and the veggies undercooked. Raw zucchini is not good! The chicken in the soup was dry. I felt ill immediately after eating. I think that’s it for Yes Thai. Big fail!

Food here is pretty good. They do a cheap lunch special and it's nice. Worth it if you're after a quick feed for a low cost. Servings are small though. And yes, I did find a cockroach in my food here once. But to be honest, I'm not that fussy. I'll eat here if I can't be bothered driving an extra 3 minutes to Thai on Sky. They have the best curry puffs going around but that's about it. Also the might not answer your call cause it seems they sometimes can't be bothered / must be too busy. So just keep calling every minute and they'll eventually pick up haha.

Nice food but order online and you are most likely getting food from somewhere other than the restaurant or pre-made food. I have ordered from there a number of times online and requested on every occasion for a dietary requirement change. They accommodated this only once despite a combination of either calling the restaurant and/or writing it in text on the order which leads me to believe the restaurant does not cook the food fresh or perhaps uses an offsite kitchen to prepare the food. The food is nice though you can tell it isn't as fresh as it could be. I strongly advise those who have allergies to avoid this place as they are not able to accommodate you, especially of you have a nut allergy and this could be very serious.

Delicious food. Well priced. Small restaurant.

Dined with an elderly relative and we both enjoyed the great food and attentive and friendly service. Such better value than noisy poker machine clubs!

Went there for lunch. Clean surroundings, friendly service. Cheap and cheerful. Delicious food that was both quality and great value. Green Curry was exceptional. Nice village location off the strip.BYO. $10 lunch and drink cooked fresh..I rate this place.

They have a very reasonably priced lunch special. The food is nice, nothing great. If I was on a budget and in the area I would probably think of going here. Have had better and more flavourful thai food else where though.

The waiting time for the food to be served is long. And also food served cold when I had it yesterday. I also ordered take away and the presentation was so bad maybe because they are on that time almost closed and the portion is way too less compare to the food i hade for dine in. Horrible

Ironically I had the same dishes as the only previous reviewer when I ordered a take away. Both were the recommendations of the cashier lady when she said they could not cook other items on the menu. Both were horrible (chicken in pad thai did not taste fresh, or that dish in general and massaman curry did not taste fresh), the worst ones I had anywhere. I asked both dishes to be made medium spicy, the lady agreed, however produce them mild. This may confirm that they made the dish for a few days in advance. On the other hand it was good it was mild - otherwise more chilly possibly could mask that it was not fresh. My attempt to select 1 of 3 items on the dessert menu failed, so I asked if I could have a different item on the dessert menu. In response the cashier crossed out all 3 items on the dessert menu part. (and suggested massaman curry). The cashier does not speak good English and could not explain what Kai Hoh Bai Tew is. There is only two people that I could see (cashier and chef) were busy and could not take order for some substantial time. The worst Thai place I have ever been to and the worst Thai food. I attempted to return the food the next day, because it was not fresh and was not cooked as we agreed, only to find notice that they only do home delivery on that day (Thursday) as well as the next one or several days and suggested to review them on google. The phone on their menu did not answer although I tried it a few times. It appears the place is going out of business and this might be some of the reasons.

Service was great, staff were lovely and food came out quick. Nice quiet setting so it's good for intimate dinners. The only fault were that servings were smaller than usual.

Our Chicken Pad Thai and Beef Massaman Curry were delicious but mains alone won't be enough for big eaters. Prices are cheap and they also do takeaway. Had a great experience and I would return.
