There's not many eateries where you can say that they:
1. Provide EXCEPTIONAL food quality and quantity;
2. Excellent service with short waiting time til eating after ordering;
3. Great price considering the top quality tucker you have just consumed; and
4. Offer a wide range of items on their menu, with plenty for vegetarians and GF.
Elwood's Eatery is one place that delivers on all four aspects above.
Recently took a group of 36 blokes there, friendly service and great atmosphere. Despite being run off their feet (place was packed) the wait staff were friendly and accurate (got all 36 orders matched to their recipients). If I say anything more positive I will be accused of being the owner. However I'm not, I live in Parkes, not Orange, and look forward to each time I come to Elwood's Eatery. The other 35 blokes I was with for our event all agreed - Elwood's Eatery is more than worth the drive. Thanks to all involved in awesome meals to top off a fantastic event. The most incredible, satisfying, daydreamy meal I have ever had! I don’t know what I was expecting when I was recommended this place but boy was I impressed. I got the three different tacos along with corn and each one was delicately layered with just the right amount and mix of flavours to complement every single bite. I fell in love over and over again with each mouthful. I’m from Hobart, so a place that is known for it’s food, but Elwood’s sure blew my socks off!
We’ve dined at Elwood’s several times while in Orange. While I’ve rated Elwood’s five stars, I would say that this time was our least favourite visit, but only for a minor reason.
All food at Elwoods is made with love and you can taste it in their food. Their platter this time was a little bland and lacking the flavour punch we loved from our previous visits.
Would I dine at Elwoods again? Absolutely!
Would I recommend? Definitely.

We really loved the dining experience at Elwood's Eatery. Food was fresh, tasty and reasonably priced. Great presentation. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Highly recommend if you are visiting Orange.
The best place to have a pig out!
Went there to try the pulled pork, they only had it as a burger filling but were happy to put it on a BBQ plate for me.. it was outstanding!
The pig tail fries are awesome as are the donut fries. Service is great. Going to tell everyone about this joint.
I've been to America over 15 times and have traveled through the southern states, and this place reminds me of the deep south. The servings are American sized and I loved the pork, the sweet potato fries, slaw and the chicken. The brisket was a little overdone, but the glaze was good. They are currently take away only due to COVID so we ate in our hotel room. Probably the best sweet potato fries I've had in a long time.
This is an amazing restaurant. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The food is creative but comforting and honestly the best American style restaurant in Australia. If you're visiting Orange or passing through the is a must visit.
Amazing food and service - they checked on us regularly and the food arrived quickly. We had the slow cooked lamb with onion rings and the snack pack which had a variety of their menu options. Everything was delicious and it was exactly what we needed after a long day of wine tasting haha. Would recommend!!
This place was a meat feast. Calories galore. What kind of meat, fries, fat and oil do you want with your burger?
We booked a table and there was no issue with that. All good there. You have to queue to order and pay at the counter. The queue does get a bit long at times, and you really would prefer not to have a table near the queue, but again, not a big deal.
The burgers we had were tasty, maybe the serving size was a little smaller than expected.
I'd probably come again, probably ended up being a bit pricier than expected, but you don't eat here every night unless you want a heart attack. Yum yum
