Came here on a Friday for lunch as we were in the area. I had the “no name burger”. It was double southern style fried chicken with bacon, cheese and coleslaw and siracha mayo. My friend had the steak sandwich. Both came with a well cooked crispy chips. When my food came I was overwhelmed by the sheer size of the food. It was huge! And trust me I was starving. Took it apart and ended up eating 3/4 if it and I didn’t touch the buns. It was delicious, chicken was tender and cooked through but I think it’s meant to be shared. My friend seemed to enjoy his steak sandwich but couldn’t finish the whole thing as well. Good food but portion maybe a bit off.
I was invited to this restaurant by my daughter and her boyfriend for dinner, it is a wonderful place for meat lovers like me, I ordered a medium-rare porterhouse steak with vegies and mushroom gravy, it tasted wonderful, it was a very enjoyable evening, would definitely go again and recommend this place to others
Fantastic service, great staff and awesome food. Steaks for all at our table were cooked really well. Will definitely go again. Mother in law was most impressed :)
All these negative reviews are bull****!! My boyfriend has eaten here 8 times and told me every single time he has had amazing food and really good service. He took me there for dinner tonight, and told me when ordering how good the steak and the ribs are. After looking at the menu mouth watering I ended up ordering a 'Made in the USA chicken parma' and he had the 'Chicken Extravagance' with prawns and scallops. I have had many Chicken Parmas and this was hands down the best. His meal was fantastic as well. The chips are great the sides are great and the service is great. We were asked what drinks we would like straight away and our food came about 20 minutes after we ordered. All around great environment definitely would recommend!!

Fantastic.. The poor reviewers seem to be overly entitled people who think if they are not served in a packed to the rafters restaurant within three seconds is some sort of crime and are accustomed to bain Marie style restaurants or where there meals are microwaved, not prepared fresh. Guaranteed some people will have a genuinely poor experience nut sometimes too much is expected. Food is lovely, staff are courteous and accommodating and atmosphere is great
Went here tonight for the Tuesday special menu with my dad and brother and the food sizes were outstanding. If you have big eaters amongst your social group of family, take them here on a Tuesday! Most special deals range from $15-25 and the serving size was crazy.
I ordered the chicken burger which was so fresh and delicious with chips and didn't even get through half of the burger and only having a handful of chips.
Dad and brother ordered the steak special $22. My dads a butcher and he enjoyed the steak so that's saying something!
There's heaps to choose from on the menu as you don't have to order from the Tuesday special so heaps of variety.
I don't know what people with bad reviews are talking about, went there for lunch today and the food and service from the blonde female waiter was amazing, food was perfectly cooked and very filling for a good price, you get what you pay, menus were clean, food was served quickly and we will definitely be returning for more family dinners! BURGERS WERE YUM AND CALAMARI WAS SOFT :O
Group of 6 of us got a mixture of different Parmas and BBQ ribs. The ribs were amazing, chips were good as a side, my friends said the Parmas were awesome. We all had garlic and cheese bread for entrees and they were really good. I see many bad reviews on here but honestly I couldn't find a fault. Would definitely recommend.
We've been there a few times and as the name suggests it does steak and does it well; it will be done exactly how u ask for it. I do miss the varied specials board with items that u might not usually have. Absolutely loved the kangaroo steak!!!
If u want great value for money come on Tuesdays as they have a pretty decent cheap eats Tuesday menu.

I absolutely adore a good steak and in my Pakenham experiences I haven't been even slightly impressed until HQ Steakhouse.
The menu was impressive,
The decor was on point and the wait service although a little slow was polite and attentive.
My table ordered the 400gm Rump steak with both garlic butter and mushroom sauce and also the bangers and mash.
The steak was cooked to perfection and the onion was so delicious that the sauces (both also delicious) weren't even needed. The bangers and mash was beautiful and extra mash was ordered, it was that good.
The salad was a bit boring but no where near the worst.
Although I dined for lunch on the 20th of August, I've already recommended HQ Steakhouse to friends and family.

I had the Hungry Wolf burger and I thoroughly enjoyed every single bite. Huge serving I struggled to get through it all! 🍔 10/10 value for money!

Sensational! Last minute decision to go but it really paid off. 3 main meals, Parma and Chips, Salt and Pepper Calamari and a Double Beef and Bacon Burger and there wasn't a single bad mouthful between us. My brother is very particular with his Burgers and he told the Staff that it was the best Burger he has ever tasted...and I mean he's really REALLY particular. lol. Well priced, great atmosphere and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Next time we promised that at least 1 Steak will be ordered...
