Good solid option for a meal with a mate or the family. Standards were better when they opened and could improve back there but it’s ok.

Tucked away in the heart of Parkdale amongst the busyness of Como Parade you’ll find yourself at the Burgerlab. A funky styled burger shop offering their unique take on the traditional burger with that something little extra.
Offering not just burgers, Burgerlab caters to your culinary taste buds with a range of kitchen favourites to satisfy everyone.
With a casual atmosphere you feel welcome as soon as you walk in the door, pulling up a stool we looked over the menu to nifty little illustrations that gave you a nice little insight into what you’re about to eat! Seems straight forward but rather helpful and fun if you ask us.
Feeling hungry we dived right in, deciding on the Buttermilk Free Range Chicken Burger, the Firedog Burger, Southern Fried Chicken Wings, a side of Sweet Potato Fries, Grilled Corn with Slaw and Chipotle Mayo and you know we had to top it all off with a Snickers Shake and a Chocolate Malt extra thick!
And after no time at all, the food appeared, and boy was it a lot – to say they were big burgers would be an understatement they had some size on them. Jumping right in, the Buttermilk Chicken burger had a good crunch and nice flavour whereas the Firedog had a great spice from the Jalapenos which was a great little addition to this burger.
All the while munching on some sides we welcomed the change up of sweet potato fries opposed to regular and freshly grilled corn covered in melted cheese – both gave this burger experience a new twist on the traditional fries and onion rings. Which they have – of course – but why not try something different we say!
Shifting gears, we got into the buffalo wings – full wings not just drumettes or the wings – so again we got more than we bargained for, but we were not disappointed. For us, we could have used a little more spice to it, but that’s just us, we’re spicy people. These were well worth over eating for!
The Burgerlab is a great little neighbourhood shop that is definitely worth a drive down or if you don’t have a car don’t worry Parkdale Station is just up the road. While disguised as a humble burger shop, they offer so much more which means you can go back again and again and keep trying something new.
But let us leave you with this thought, don’t be afraid to experiment when in the lab (sorry we couldn’t help ourselves) no matter what you get, you’ll surely love it.
Burger Lab is one of our favourite places in Parkdale. The burgers are always delicious and recently we hosted a 14th birthday for our daughter & friends. The staff were fantastic and happy to serve a birthday cake that we brought.
Good burgers. Nice ambience and store layout. Outdoor area perfect on a sunny day. Meal deals at certain times and days to look out for. Good value

Such a great little place. Its a burger joint with so much more from. An additional of a bar and a screen to watch some cricket. I liked the vibe here it was comfortable. The burger was really good a good patty, bun, sauce and fillings. Chips were crispy with a good aioli

I ordered take away burgers today but the environment of the restaurant is pretty cool. A great place to hang out in summer outside in the seating area and great place for a beer over burgers!

Beef burger I had was juicy and delicious. Saw a famous face or two while there too! Chips were pretty standard and vanilla milkshake I had was a bit too sweet but still good. Definitely recommend if you're after a burger fix
Amazing food and atmosphere.
We loved every bit of it; burgers, chips and shakes done amazingly. Our kids finished their food which never happens!

Wish I could give this place 4.5 starts, because it definitely deserves more than 4... but not as high as 5, but nearly a perfect burger!Definitely want to try again and if I have the same incredible experience i'll be more than happy to give it 5 stars!The burger it self was amazing, juicy, cooked to perfection, the cheese tasted amazing and the bacon was cooked amazingly. The sweet potato fries with the aioli was tasty as well. I'm actually getting hungry just thinking of it! can't wait to try it again
Love the relaxed vibe, friendly staff, and fast service here. Sitting outdoors is our fave. The food is always great quality, and the weeknight deals (hello $2 fries!) make this our go-to local for easy, delicious and kid friendly burgers!

The best place to have lunch . Burger was amazing ,tender and juicy. Buffalo wings added the flavour with nice green salad. Staff is very professional and best service. Must go place with family,mates and peers. Well done Burger lab . Thankyou for the nice hot lunch.

Super high quality beef, a perfect bun... Does not matter if is for take away or dining in is worthy the travel (is you live far away), you can take away and have the burger on the beach, or dinne in and enjoy with a great beer on the tap and an excellent customer service.
Nice spot. We ordered the veggie burger and a lamb burger. Honestly I have had better burgers but then again I enjoyed the overall ambience. We sat outside with our dog, and the staff were very friendly! They brought her a bowl of water which was sweet The sides we ordered were actually pretty good. We thoroughly enjoyed the cob fathers. Overall not the best burgers in town, but overall serves good quality food at a reasonable price. Lots of cocktail choices!
One of the best place to eat burger in this area. The price and quality is perfect. Also great for vegetarian folks.
