Went there during the Australia Day long weekend. We were a group of 14 and it was a decent experience. Service was good, fast but the food wasn’t as tasty as our previous visit. We ordered various fruit shakes and all of them were good. Pad Siew Ew was bland. Red and green curries were good and tasty. Spring rolls and curry puffs were average. Stir fry with vegetables and chickens were also average. Crab fried rice was the best of the lot.
I have given 4 rating considering our previous good experience.
Thai for lunch - Red Thai Curry with Sticky Rice and Thai Basil Chicken Fried Rice. Food is cooked with authentic ingredients served in generous portions. Taste is well balanced without overdose of sauces and spices. Totally worth with alfresco seating by the banks of Paramatta River on a sunny afternoon.
Really great Thai and Laotian food here. Portions are generous and prices are reasonable considering the quality of the food. Love coming here and trying different menu items though my favourites will always be chicken satay and their noodle dishes.

My go to Thai place in parramatta - great service and great food. I’m a regular here. Pad see ew and peanut stir fry w/ chicken. They actually make it spicy when you ask for it! Prices are reasonable for the serving sizes. Only issue is sometimes you’ll find yourself in a queue and that can be up to thirty minutes. Fun fact: every single time I’ve been at the restaurant you can hear a group of happy eaters singing happy birthday. It’s been a ritual. I’ve been here upwards of 50 times since it opened. 💝
Thai food @holybasil #parramatta mango is not in season so the salad on top of the barramundi was replaced with apple, did not give the same punch, otherwise the food was quite good. Super busy on the weekend, luckily we booked!
Love the Fried Ice Cream, crispy pastry, creamy ice cream topped with chewy coconut pieces and addictive toffee sauce
Worth the wait !!
One of the best places in Sydney for Thai food. The wait time is a bit but it’s totally worth it. Not only do they serve great food their service is quick too. Been wanting to go there for a while as we stay at the Meriton closeby. Ordered quite a sumptuous spread. Ordered the King prawns (which were to die for and wonder what sauce they use.. damn good ), home made curry puff ( veg), crispy marinated quails for appetisers and it was all good. Main course was holy basil chicken fried rice (the best according to me), duck salad and stir fried vegetables was finger licking good. The only one which wasn’t to the mark was the lychee juice which was quite watery and had no taste ... but overall I would like rate it as one of the best food that I have had in a long long time ...
Consistently great Thai food, stand out compared to most places in Sydney. Their noodle and curry dishes are great, especially the Pad Se Ew but never had a dish here that I could fault. Would be easier if they took bookings but the food is worth the wait!
Food is flavorful! Would recommend for an authentic Thai food experience. The ambiance adds to the beauty of the place. Serving sizes are good for sharing too. Loved their desserts as well! Ordered the mango sticky rice and the friend banana wrap.
There was a line but it was worth it. We waited for about 30 minutes. We went there on a Saturday night. The service was quick. The food was amazing!!!
Dropped into Holy Basil along the Parramatta riverside for lunch. They are fairly busy over the lunch period but we were attended to very quickly and showed to a table. Service was excellent and our orders came out very quickly despite not feeling rushed. We had mango & passionfruit and lychee and passionfruit fruit shakes which are perfect for a hot day. For our mains, we had pad kee mao noodles which were served piping hot with a bit of spice and beef massaman curry with really tender meat that just fell apart beautifully. Delicious meal, great service. Would highly reccommend both the Parramatta and Canley Vale restaurants. Keep in mind that on a busy weekend lunch or evening there may be a short wait time but they are very efficient in moving tables

Thai food never misses. However, we’re also of the opinion that Thai food generally tastes the same across the board. This place is the exception though. In fact, we’d say this is the best Thai place we’ve ever eaten at. Everything from entree all the way until dessert tastes delicious. Food comes out in smaller portions, however, is consistently fragrant and flavourful. Combine that with a beautiful interior and quick, friendly service, and it’s a near perfect place to grab some dinner.
The only downside was the price v serving of food you’d receive - something easy to overlook from a quality v quantity perspective.
The best Thai food ever. I love this restaurant. The restaurant itself is very pretty, its just next to the parramatta river, you have the option to sit outside too but I personally love the decors inside the restaurant, its beautiful. I have been there multiple times and the food is delicious. Its is a bit expensive compared to other Thai restaurants but the food portion is good. They also have fresh juice option and it is delicious, we have the option for our own combinations of fruits. Their Stir fried pork and holy basil fried is Yum and Don’t miss the Fried Icecream !!
Beautiful interiors with great service and delicious food, this place is a must visit for great Thai food in Parramatta.
Even over weekdays expect to wait for 15-20 mins if you don't book ahead but the food and ambience is well worth tge wait.
The only negative for us was that all the non-alcoholic drinks on the menu were mere badly made milkshakes with a ton of ice that weren't quite up to the mark given everything else on the menu was par excellence.
Overall was a pretty good meal. The food here was nice with a few things to mention. There’s a lot of salad with the soft shell crab but there was something that made it ‘tough’ to eat in terms of texture, wasn’t able to pin down which vegetable wasn’t blending well. The pad Thai was nice but we don’t think it was mixed well as the more we ate, the less flavor the noodles had. The curry was fine and the rice portion was generous. Service here was nice as they ensured we stayed warm by turning off the heater but also switched it off when requested so they were attentive. We were seated outside on the smaller tables and they give you another mini table to compensate but would recommend choosing a larger table if you plan on getting more than three dishes.
The best Thai restaurant i have been too so far. Fast service and really nice cocktails. Make sure you book ahead of time if you plan on coming here especially on busy nights like Saturdays.
The entrées here were okay but the main dishes were very good. Really liked the pad see ew, the soft shell crab, the pork belly with chilli and basil, and the penang curry. The dining room is really buzzy and nicely decorated. Service is reasonable. The prices for the food are much the same as other Thai restaurants in Western Sydney BUT they are not byo, and the alcohol adds a lot to the bill. Speaking of which, they don't split bills, which is annoying.
Wow what an amazing experience we got there had to line up but we were seated in 10 minutes witch did not bother me but we ordered and we honestly got the food in 5 minutes highly recommended this restaurant wow wow wow
