Had a wonderful lunch at Touka and will definitely be returning! 😊
Came here for a special event and ordered the $119 set menu between two people. We wanted to go for the pricier Wagyu set menu but decided it might have been overkill for two people (recommended for 2-3) and luckily so because the portions were so generous!
The seaweed salad was really tasty and a lot bigger than I had expected. Because we ordered the Value set, I kind of expected the meats to be an ordinary quality compared to the wagyu and premium wagyu choices but boy was I blown away by the huge platter of meat with impressive marbling placed before us 🤤
We picked the Karubi, Intercostals, Inside Skirt and Pork Belly. All the red meats were absolutely delicious - juicy, beefy and tender. My favourite is the intercostals however it’s much fattier than the other two so defs pair it with some fluffy rice in a bite. The pork belly was ok but nothing special - I think I would reserve my stomach space only for the beef next time 😁
Rice, miso and ice cream were unlimited but since we were sharing the set between just two, we didn’t need to order any more. We were provided a complimentary dessert for my bf’s birthday which was a super kind gesture and was very delicious - I enjoyed the Taro ice cream the most but the citrus (lemon? yuzu?) sorbet really helped wash all the meat juices down hehe
Big shoutout to the super wonderful staff who made the experience so much nicer! Also love love love the interior design of the place. Keen to return and try the cocktail menu and sashimi next time!
This place had such a great environment, the staff were so friendly and even though i went during a pandemic and there was only allowed max. 10 people in the restaurant they only did set menus.
Me and 2 other friends ordered the $119 set menu adding the extra 6 oysters, special sashimi platter and takoyaki balls with some cocktails.
Portions were so generous, we couldn’t finish everything but was definitely worth it.
They offered unlimited rice, ice cream and miso soup with the set menu.
10/10 would recommend
We've been to Touka four times now. The decor is nice and so is the food. The sashimi is fresh and of a high quality. The yakiniku is also very good, as is the bibimbap. The price of food here is a bit higher than what you would expect to pay but their opening hours are longer than the other Japanese restaurants in Parramatta so they always get our business when we haven't prepared.
A delightful place tucked away in Parramatta’s main district. Every dish was presented beautifully and prices were reasonable. Thoroughly enjoyed the pork belly, wagyu cuts, ox tongue and yukke. Overall, a pleasant jap bbq experience.
I will definitely come back again! The taste of the bbq and dining environment are all perfect.Best beef tongue and pork belly ever!!
I think the price is very reasonable and the whole meal is very pleasant.
Good quality food! My favorite Japanese BBQ🥰 Love the wagyu beef and sashim, and the dessert also very amazing! We will come back again!!!
I’d say it’s probably the most authentic jap yakiniku restaurant you could find at western Sydney suburbs. Nice decor, great service and good quality Wagyu beef 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 5 star quality of food and service. They also have imported Japanese liquor if you fancy a drink or two.
A hidden gem in parramatta!!! The Japanese decor is so nice and authentic. The quality of wagyu was sooo high!!! Everything was being fresh and nice! Definitely is the best Japanese bbq I have tried so far! The drinks here were unexpectedly good too!!! The blueberry Soda and watermelon juice were a perfect match to the grilled wagyu. The service was excellent as well. The staffs were being welcoming and helpful. Will come back for sure!!!
Japanese restaurant operated by Japanese in Parramatta which is pretty rare considering most (or if not all ) of the other Japanese restaurants are done by Koreans. Yakiniku, sushi and all the food are amazing - the price is a little bit high on one side but if you go during lunch hour it’ll be alright
A beautiful hidden japanese restaurant, as you walk into the courtyard it's like you've been teleported to Japan. The service was excellent, very true to my experience in Japan. The meals came out fast, which is perfect if you're on a work lunch break.
As we came here for lunch we opted for the bento box, curry don and some gyozas to start.
The chicken kaarage was fried perfectly and the curry was delicious. The unagi bento was devine and very generous in size. The sashimi included was also very fresh.
Next time I'm in Parramatta I definitely will try their japanese bbq.
