Review Jamie's Italian - Parramatta

Holly Corpe
I've been to Jamie's Italian a few times and I was a little disappointed on each occasion. The good: The atmosphere is great. The decor is fun and vibrant. The colours are great, and the use of wood and recycled timber is unique. They have a bar with beer on tap and a range of wines and other spirits. You can usually chill at the bar while you wait for your table, which is cool. The bad: the quality of the food is not great, considering the price. We came for the $10 pasta. I had the octopus ravioli and my partner had the prawn linguini. Both dishes are over $30 EACH on a regular day. That pasta is definitely not worth the price. It's barely even worth $10. The portion size is quite small and the sauce had almost no flavour. The tomato sauce, for both the prawn and the octopus, was very watery. Also, our waitress seemed a bit put out that I'd called her over after attempting to get her attention by making eye contact, but not succeeding in my efforts. The garlic bread was ok. It was definitely the best part of the meal. Overall, it's way too expensive and not worth hanging out just enjoy the atmosphere.

pricey but below average food. The food tasted like nobody has tasted it before serving to the guests. My crab spaghetti was way too salty and sour. The carbonara was just plain and too much cream. I went here with high expectations as my friends told me the one in cbd was really good but totally disappointed. Won’t recommended to anyone.

Seriously mediocre food for very outstanding prices... the food is fine but I'm not sure if 7.50 for some really subpar small amount of truffle oil and parmesan chips is worth it... It was full inside so we were seated outside, there was no waitress outside so I had to go inside and request a waitress... not good. The food here is nice, but the price of the food itself really ruined any chance of me coming here again.

Came here for lunch and it was pretty damn good. It wasn't busy so I was seated straight away. The service was exceptional. Friendly, welcoming and attentive. The portion size was perfect for lunch. 70g of pasta for the small size is what the waiter quoted. My personal experience was great here. Would come back

Quite overpriced for average quality food. The steak was very tough and difficult to consume. The “fries” that came with the meal was more like baked potato. The creamy pasta was great, however the salt and butter in the dish was very overwhelming. Atmosphere and service was good.

Took my friend here for dinner, I don't recommend this place, ordered the steak and chips, the steak is very rough I don't know why it Jamie's brand could be this bad, there were 2 thin slices, one was medium rare and the other was over cooked, the chips well think about McDonald's fries but with too much flavouring powder and taste like it's been left there for 30mins, the pasta was super salty, they gave me the wrong dish and I asked the waitress which one is this? She said it wasn't her fault and said will get me the one I ordered, after another 10 mins it arrived, well at least I got another dish for free, but really for the premium price I paid for Jamie Olivia's brand..... I cook better at home

On arrival I asked if my gift card was accepted still, due to new owners and the answer was YES. But when it came time to pay the gift card declined and we had to pay cash. The manager apologised and said “he thought it was ok to use it still”. Luckily the food was nice but the servings are very small. The staff were very frIendly and the place looks great. It’s a shame my visit was a disappointment.

It's like eating at a pricy Italian food chain. The pasta was lukewarm and overcooked but it was a good time with the family. Service was attentive and good.

Went here for a friends birthday lunch. The food was good and service was a bit slow but it wasn't too bad. I would hav preferred the portion sizes to be bigger. My friend ordered a large but it happened to be very similar to a small.

I went to Jamie’s twice when they were doing the $10 pastas. I ordered the garlic bread, prawn linguine, the truffle tagliatelle and the crab spaghetti. While the crab was average I wish I hadn’t ordered the breads but the other 2 pastas were spectacular. Everything about the prawn and truffle dishes was right and was a spectacular experience for the price. The service is good too it’s just that I’m not quite convinced if it will be worth at full price.

The best dish hands down is the truffle tagliatelle (pictured middle). It’s light yet delicious with a mild earthy flavour from the black truffles. It was a shame that we only ordered it as an entree as it was much better than the other two, though they were still good in their own way. I had the crab spaghetti. There was definitely a crab taste with a mild kick from the chilli. My friend had the veal ragu pasta, and too me it tasted like I was eating really good lasagna in pasta form. We also had an aperol spritz and the refresher. Both were average. We went on a Saturday afternoon so there wasn’t much crowd. Service was also prompt as well. Overall would definitely come again just for the truffle tagliatelle!
Tony
Great food. You can't go past the fresh homemade pasta. I had the octopus ravioli and it was delicious. Italian nachos was a great entree as well. Service is tops. Maybe larger servings as my dish was quite small for the price I paid.

Came here on a Saturday at 6pm. The restaurant was just under half full and there were plenty of staff on site. I had high expectations because of the good reviews for the restaurant in the CBD, however this dining experience was disappointing. We were seated and greeted quickly with the menus. <br/><br/>I ordered a 250 ml glass of house wine and a glass of Prosecco with the waitress however 2 glasses of wine and Prosecco was sent out to the table - one of which we had to turn away. Even after confirming the order with the waitress twice they still made a mistake. My friend had to order her drink twice because she waited 30 mins and nothing came out the first time.<br/><br/>We ordered the 3 $10 pastas along with salt and pepper squid, sweet potato and truffle and Parmesan fries. 3 pastas get sent out, however only 2 of the 3 belonged to our order. The pastas were lovely however size was small - for $10 it seems like it should be the standard price. The squid and two sides were also quite small for the price you pay. <br/><br/>We asked the waitress for the 3rd pasta we ordered, and she said she would follow up. We eventually finished all our food and the waitresses started taking our plates and cutlery away. They asked us if we wanted the dessert menu before we got any word about our 3rd pasta. The table had to be re-set up once the 3rd pasta came. The staff seemed attentive at first, but slightly confused even at 50% capacity. They need to address their communication issues at this restaurant. <br/><br/>Unfortunately this is the first and last time I'd be visiting this restaurant. Usually bad service does not steer me away from dining at a restaurant, but mediocre food and bad service doesn't leave me much reason to go back. <br/>

Previously their pastas have been pretty hit or miss with their regular menu prices but I decided to try again with their $10 specials.<br/><br/>Prawn linguine was undercooked so the linguine was hard and flavourless. Prawns had a gritty texture and bitter taste because they weren't deveined cleanly. The sauce was so watery and varied so much in quantity between the two plates. <br/><br/>Definitely not nearly as good on quality control compared to the city store... Plus the one in the city gives you freshly grated cheese which is a nice touch service wise. Not coming back to parra again :/<br/><br/>
Mtpatel11
Slow service all round. Not busy on Sunday afternoon. Wait staff...slow and confused. 40minutes for garlic bread. 90 minutes for mains. Food served is not overly complex to be waiting this long. Also Coca cola not available. 4 of the red wines not available either. Food was just alright.

This restaurant has an amazing vibe and open seating plan. I enjoyed the buzz it had on a Friday night! We dined when the 10$ pasta was on as it was an amazing deal I couldn’t miss out on! The black pepper pasta in the lemon sauce was delicious and excellently paired with mint and pea! The pizza we had was the second best pizza I have EVER had ( first to the one in Rome). I would definitely go back solely for the pizza<br/><br/>However, the entree of bruschetta was less than pleasing. We ordered the bruschetta and whilst the tomatoes were delicious the bread was extremely soggy and uneatable. I wish I hadn’t gotten it as it was 12$ for one piece! The salad we had - rocket and cheese - had too much dressing and was too sour and soggy. We ate hardly any of it. The deserts also were below average. The chocolate brownie had random popcorn that really didn’t fit. The tiramisu which I had years before And adored was extremely disappointing and I could hardly finish it. All I tasted was cream. The biscuits were not soft from the Marsala and you could not taste any marscepone at all. This was honestly horrible as I was looking forward to it most.<br/><br/>Otherwise a fun night in a good location. Food was hit and miss.

Shocking, no stock of multiple menu items. Can't run a restaurant, no clue. Staff are difficult and obnoxious. Very unprofessional management. Lack of care or concern for patrons

Came here only because of $10 pasta deal. However found the portions for appetizers we ordered were really small for the price paid like fresh squid and truffle fries. Crab pasta was a large portion but was slightly over cooked. Truffle tagliatelle was nice. Overall experience was ok but unfortunately the small portions of some of the food served has deterred me from going back.
WatchMe Eat
Came here to the $10 pasta. Ordered the Crab Spaghetti and Truffle Parmesan Chips.<br/><br/>Crab Spaghetti - value for $10, good serving and al dente noodles and tomato pasta sauce was tasty, had some carrots, celery, chili and onions (others I couldn't identify). However crab amount is about a teaspoon worth on top. So keep that in mind.<br/><br/>Truffle Oil and Parmesan Chips - shoe string french fries cooked well and crispy. However for the serving size, it is more or less the same as Maccas SMALL serving topped with a tablespoon of parmesan. For $7.50, NOT WORTH IT. Its tasty but perhaps a double serving would be worth the price.<br/><br/>I would only come back here for the $10 pasta special.<br/><br/>Customer Service - could be a bit more attentive but otherwise not bad.<br/><br/>Toilets - very clean and nice decor.

This Italian restaurant serves up a variety of pizzas and pastas. I shared their arancini, crispy polenta chips, mushroom (funghi) pizza and pasta (taglietelle bolognese). Whilst it was all tasty, the portion sizes are rather small and unfortunately the food got cold rather quickly (although it was a cold night). I would recommend their polenta chips and arancini.<br/><br/>The upstairs dining area was rather dime - great for privacy but gets rather noisy when the restaurant is full.

Been here a couple of times and I always enjoy this place....had the set menu and it was worth it!!! Dishes were all delicious (calamari, oxtail pasta and brownie). Will come back to try the other foods on offer. Restaurant is walking distance from Parramatta train station
Germangirl
Food was average until I was told that I can’t takeaway the prawn linguini because it’s seafood???.... Even though I paid for my food, I cannot comprehend why this is a policy and am extremely disappointed. What a joke. Finish and takeaway your linguini elsewhere. 🤣🤣🤣
Hemi Guahk
Service was great as well as the food. The pasta here is really nice and flavourful but the portions are very small for the price. Really enjoyed the garlic chips here as well.

Pappardelle : 😍 Amazing<br/>Carbonara : 😍 Amazing <br/>Choc Brownie : 😍 Amazing <br/>Marsala Tiramisu : 😊 Good<br/>Refresher Mocktail : 😁 Great<br/>Service : 😁 Great<br/><br/>The pastas were as good as I expected. The flavour of the Spicy Sausage Pappardelle was amazing and the Choc Brownie dessert can speak for itself. Definitely will be back again.
Shirley
Of course the most amazing Italian food! Pastas are much better than Pizza’s. Service was lacking although to be fair half the staff were diverted to working outside for Parramatta Lanes market instead of inside the restaurant. Still, food was killer!

I'm a big fan of Jamie Oliver and decided to give this place a go despite hearing numerous negative reviews and I'm afraid to say we were extremely disappointed. Service was terrible and food well below average and inedible. We were a table of 3 and dined at 8pm on a Saturday night and the staff were disinterested and borderline rude. We ordered bruschetta, squid and nachos to start. The nachos and squid were extremely salty and inedible and the bruschetta was bland and tasteless. For mains we ordered spaghetti Bolognese; bland and tasteless, crab spaghetti; salty and bland and chicken primavera; the chicken was overcooked and tough and topped with what seemed like tomatoes straight out of a can. We ordered six dishes and didn't finish any of them. We didn't bother with dessert since both entrees and mains were well below average. Bill was $180 for 3 entrees, 3 mains and a bottle of wine. Would not recommend.

This 38 dollars steak taste like 5 dollars ones <br/>I ordered medium cook and the front side is ok but the back is burned and tasted bitter. <br/>My friend ordered a fresh crab spaghetti tasted like nothing. Waitresses were absolutely not responsive. I think a 1/5 is too much for them already.
James O
Actually very disappointed. Ordered the Sicilian Chicken, had no taste, no olives, no egg plant, tasted like burnt chicken on a can of processed minced tomato's. Service was not great, very slow to order, then didn't see them again till after we had finished our mains. For a $100 dinner for 2, i expected a lot better. Don't think we will be going back anytime soon.

This place was exceedingly...average. The high price made me expect so much more from the dishes we were given. The prawn linguine was good and there was an overabundance of prawn, wish there was more linguine though... The smoked salmon bruschetta was nice but for $14.50(?) I don't really think this small tiny thing was worth it for how it tasted. The crispy squid with aioli is really good though! The "posh" chips (lol, it was parmesan and truffle oil) were straight up disappointing though.
The Naked Food Addict
I'm a massive Jamie Oliver fan! And when I found out they opened up a trattoria in Paramatta I was beyond pleased! I've been down a few times now and each time has topped the other! Their entree's are my favourite and I honestly only get the entree's now when I go. Not a massive fan of their mains unfortunately. Sometimes I find them a little been under flavoured (which is unfortunate considering everything else is fantastic), but honestly, hands down, they do some amazing entree's! I personally love their arancini margherita (crispy tomato and mozarella risotto rice balls with arrabbiata sauce), their antipasti classic meat board (fennel salami, artisan mortadella & prosciutto with mini buffalo mozarella, aged pecorino and chilli jam on music bread, pickles, olives and purple slaw), their mushroom fritti (portobello mushrooms in a herby breadcrumb), crunchy italian nachos (CRISPY FRIED RAVIOLI STUFFED WITH MOZZARELLA, RICOTTA WITH A SPUCY SICILIAN SAUCE) and their crispy squid! SO GOOD! I honestly could eat here every night! Service is always amazing too! Very very pleased with it here!!

We went there last weekend as a family of four, nice food and very family friendly atmosphere. The prawn pasta is quite nice a little bit spicy but to my liking. The kids love their kids meal....the staff very friendly and helpful. Maybe the only negative thing i can say is that the place is understaff for a busy weekend. Took a while for the staff to come back to us for dessert order, not their fault because the place is full house. Will definitely come back.....
The Engineer Eats
Tried the $10 prawn linguine at Jamie's last month which was a great deal! The dish was full of garlicky king prawns, served with tomatoes, fennel and saffron topped with rocket and chili. Usually it costs $32! Hubby ordered the Truffle tagliatelle which he said was lacking in flavor. The pasta was a bit too thick too. Jamie's is licenced so I enjoyed a sparkling wine with my pasta. Yum!<br/><br/>1/18<br/>Checked out the $10 specials for this week, the Crab spaghetti and Veggie bolognese. Both tasted quite bland. Chips were not evenly seasoned with the truffle oil.
The Miniature Life
To celebrate my sisters birthday we headed over to Jamie's Italian Trattoria. No I had actually heard very average reviews about the restaurant, so I went in with very low expectations. The main reason we chose the place was for the vegetarian selection of food, suitable for my dad to eat. . The first thing I noticed when walking in was the nice, cozy rustic vibe. I think this is just is so iconic to Jamie Oliver and the way in which he delivers and talks about food - very real and down to earth. I loved the almost barn style decor going on in the restaurant equipped with an expansive bar and an open kitchen - we could very clearly see the wood-fired oven! We stood around awkwardly  before being shown our seat, and then had to wait some time for the menu's to arrive.
Rebecca
Visited Jamie's in Parramatta with some work colleagues. Service was good and staff were friendly but food was expensive for what you got - $42 for the two course set menu which included a board of meats and then a choice of pastas or a burger. Everyone went away full but not overly impressed
Nesmar
Used to dine here regularly, the food is relatively simple but enjoyable and fresh. They have some decent beers on tap, and staff have always been friendly. For me personally though, I find the entrees very disappointing. They are so small and relatively pricey.
MikeGraceEats
With a big name such as Jamie Oliver. You're really expecting something spectacular for this place. Simple food jammed with packed of flavours. And perhaps this review may have been different if we went a la carte instead. But we went with their lunch special and frankly it was underwhelming for me - coupled with sub par services. <br/><br/>When the steak fries were being served they indicated that it was all cooked the same even though I've asked for it to be done medium rare. Find it hard to believe given some people steak appeared to be done medium rare and frankly if they didn't offer it why accept my request to have it done that way. <br/><br/>Secondly, surcharge always leaves such a bad taste in my mouth and frankly shouldn't be happening anymore. Who wants to pay for surcharges. 9% surcharge, 1% for card purchases and 8% service charge which I could only expect is a surcharge for big groups. Which again doesn't make any sense why you would do that. <br/><br/>I'm trying to find some redeeming factors of this place. Look, it could accommodate for large group booking and if you're not overly picky you can take advantage of their 3 course lunch meal for $30. If I do pay this place a visit again in the future. I may try their a la carte??

The first time I visited a Jamie's Italian, there was only one in Sydney and not many in the other cities. It was pretty good when I went a few years ago, but apparently afterwards the quality decreased. Then Jamie Oliver was in Sydney around a month ago to take more control of his business and to 'revamp' a bit of the menu.
Sir And Mlady Dine Out
To start Mlady had a non alcoholic cocktail - Ginger Mojito - Mint, lime, sugar and ginger beer. This was a lovely refreshing drink and as Mlady loves ginger - she enjoyed this. A friend had a beer - Peroni - which was enjoyed with their pizza. Beer and pizza - a good combo!. Mlady loves spicy and pasta so ordered - Spicy sausage Fusilli - free range pork and fennel ragu with Quattro Stelle 'nduja, greens, chilli and pecorino. This was generously served with a nice subtle spice. It was a delicious meal and Mlady did enjoy this. It was not til after the meal that Mlady realised that she could have asked for chilli flakes as she does like a lot of spice.  Knowing this - she will definitely be back!

Well, for such a big name restaurant, i was decidedly underwhelemd and almost disappointed by my dinner at Jamie's Italian Trattoria. Without doubt, there are much better places to eat on the same block, letalone within Parramatta. I would say eat local and support restaurants that deserve their reputation instead.
Jason Meaden
The food is OK. The service is OK. The location is .. not spectacular. Nothing about it sings or stands out - apart from the price. With a big name on the menu, you would expect something higher standard - and healthier. Everything seemed to be made as stodgy and heavy as possible.

Still in Parramatta for dinner with my best friend (eating out 3 times in one day) with dinner at Jamie's Italian Trattoria<br/>Because we were both not particularly hungry, we chose from the snack menu and had a bread basket, margherita arancini and a classic meat plank. <br/>Wasn't fussed on any of this, breads were dry, arancini was too spicy and not much on the plank. <br/>Even though we were full, we had a wobbly panna cotta for dessert ..... vanilla yoghurt panna cotta with black cherry compote, spiced oat crumble & orange zest. 🍮<br/>This was really nice - but not earth shattering! <br/>Staff was non attentive - even though it was a quiet Wednesday night. Staff not friendly and I certainly didn't feel welcome 🙁<br/>Wouldn't go again
Sam Yeung
My boyfriend and I made a spontaneous decision to dine here on a Friday night. We got their Classic Prawn Linguine and Crab Spaghetti, along with a few alcoholic beverages. We enjoyed both flavoursome dishes, but unfortunately the Linguine was slightly overcooked. Very satisfied with the speed of customer service, we were attended as soon as we walked in & sat down, and our dishes came out very quickly. The serving sizes were also very generous.
Hinson Li
Service was a bit slow for a quiet Tuesday night but staff were friendly. Food tasted great although we found a few hairs in our food which was quite disappointing. Overall, ambience was nice and I would revisit.
Parramatta Foodie
The service is not the best and you usually have to wave someone down before they will attend to you. Had the superfood salad with grilled chicken which was really tasty.
Christie
I really wanted to like this restaurant but we had a terrible experience. One of the worst Italian food I've ever had! My pasta was undercooked and my partner's steak was bland. It was so bad that we had to go for dinner somewhere else. We both agreed that we'd never return. The cocktails are overpriced and watered down.
Nem
Came on a quiet Monday evening (approx 6pm), we were seated straight away as there was only one other occupied table in the restaurant. I, being a lover of arancini was disappointed when we were told that they had run out of them. We instead got the Polenta Chips, Crispy Squid and Mushroom Bruschetta. The squid was indeed crispy and flavoursome which was great. The chips were lacking in flavour and the mushrooms were average. I found myself dipping the latter two into the sauce that came with the squid.<br/>We then got a Prawn Linguine to share - I thought the linguine was really nice, the prawns were quite large and yummy. At $28.50, it was decently sized and had a lot of prawns. <br/>We actually overstayed for quite awhile chatting but there were plenty of empty tables around us and we weren't rushed at all which was nice.<br/>Overall, it was a pleasant experience (better than my experience with the CBD restaurant) and I would consider coming back again to try the arancini! :P
Micku
Came here on a Sunday for dinner. We had a few pasta dishes including the prawn linguine, sausage casarecce and a special vegetarian pasta outside of the menu, which was nice. The truffle pizza was good as well. However the cocktails were just OK. The ambience was nice, not too busy.
Little Miss Hungry
Came here for my bday dinner with a large group. They were accomodating and patient when guests arrived late. Not sure if it's because it was a quiet night? The service was great. All my guests were satisfied with the food. Delicious and good portions. Overall I had a great night celebrating my birthday.
Mykim
Been here twice now and after all the initial hype, it seems to have quietness down a lot! The service was ok but it does seem like any other Italian place around. The menu was small and simple. The pasta and pizza were nothing to write home about but can I just say, the side dish corn was just spectacular and the dessert (brownie) was just Yum!! Overall above average and I'd go back if there was nothing else to try in Parramatta.
Amanda Evan Boaz
Service was not attentive. I ordered the spiced eggplant which was chewy and under cooked. My friend ordered pasta and nobody offered Parmesan cheese. We also had to ask for extra bread for the dip. Below average.
Lips
Front desk host was rude and acted superior to everyone else, so initial impression already marred. She accused us of not including children in the booking, so I asked her to check the booking notes. She then confirmed I booked for the right number. No apologies. Food was sub standard. Pasta was undercooked - so hard and dry. Kids grilled chicken was also overcooked - was tough and inedible. I don't see the attraction to this place besides the name. Our waitress was lovely though.
Milo_wendy
Food was okay. We only came here for a Friday night dinner as there is a promotion to receive a free kids meal with any pasta or main meal purchase. To start off, we had polenta chips that never fails to dissapoint, and garlic bread which tasted stale and chewy. My husband ordered a 'Refreshing' mocktail which was average ~ not so refreshing I might add. For the kids meal (includes drink and dessert), we ordered salmon in a bag which came with potatoes and broccolini. The salmon pieces were soft and was a decent sized serving. You had a choice of fruity water, juice or milk - we chose the fruity water which had a dash of cranberry juice. For dessert, we ordered a chocolate brownie with ice cream. It was rich, soft and yummy. For our mains, we ordered the steak which came with a serving of shoestring fries and coleslaw. It was recommended by the waitress and we were thoroughly disappointed with the meal as there was no flavouring to the meat, the coleslaw tasted and looked old, and the chip salt was too spicy. We also ordered the popular prawn linguine ~ large serving but pasta was crunchy and not al dente so it had to be redone. It was nice but I preferred it to have a more fiery punch. We finished off with a ice cream sundae that came with a yummy caramel sauce and sickenly sweet caramel popcorn. I would probably come back for another promotion but otherwise, I would consider another restaurant.<br/>
Once Upon A Craving
I keep coming back for the Vongole tagliolini: white clams with chili and garlic sauce. It's fresh, simple and doesn't leave you feeling heavy like pasta normally does. Always go for the polenta chips! <br/><br/>PUBLIC SERVICE Announcement!!! <br/>Jamie's Italian currently has a Super Lunch Menu 2 Courses for $25 or 3 Courses for $30.. That's a great deal so get in quick while it lasts! <br/><br/>Desserts are a must! I tried the Epic Brownie & Berry Panna Cotta. Both were amazingly delicious! The Brownie is a chocolate lovers dream fudgey and rich. The Panna Cotta is creamy and good amount of tarte with the Berry compote. Both are winners in my book. <br/><br/>Service is a mix bag here. Some staff are friendly and attentive to serving you. However, others need much more work to get attention of. Trying to engage with staff, buzzing around who don't make eye contact is a challenge, especially if your in a rush and need to get food ordered quick this can be highly frustrating. Staff need to be more engaging and alert in a restaurant making sure customers are provided with customer service.

Recently, my husband and I had our diner there, not exceptional. We were  very disappointed with food as not warm enough, salty and over priced. Won't  go back.

First visit to a "Jamie's" restaurant and I skipped everything and went straight to dessert! Zero regrets lol. This was an amazing combo of warm brownie and silky smooth gelato
Galati Agazio
It's a disgrace even to Jamie himself if he tasted the food last night no taste very small portion and very expensive,,my first time there and the last.very poor quality food, cancel the name Italian trattoria
Chow Yum Fat
My friends and I visited Jamie's on Pitt St a few years back and we loved it. Today we decided to give the Parramatta outlet a try and overall it wasn't bad with a few hits here and a few misses there. <br/><br/>The funghi misti (mixed mushroom) pizza featured some deliciously juicy mushrooms and the base was nice and crispy but the pizza didn't have quite enough cheese. The polenta was served hot and crunchy with a generous amount of shaved parmesan on top, awesome. <br/><br/>The pork and beef bolegnese was good but not great. The home made pasta was perfectly al dente and the flavour of the sauce was meaty but the actual pork and beef mince was mostly missing. The biggest disappointment was the crispy squid, not because the squid was badly made, but because for $14.90 you we only got seven small bits of squid in a tin cup. Terrible value.<br/><br/>Overall a nice meal but very inconsistent. Decent service.
Vivi Riches
Ah a lovely Sunday lunch is what we expected but alas this was not to be. Fish of the day was overcooked and dry. The lamb rigatoni the last to come to the table, the pasta overcooked and the sauce was watery, thin, and tasteless. The spaghetti bolognese appeared to be a reheat left over. In fact none of the meals were something special. We wouldn't be bothered going there again. Waste of money. Staff was pleasant.
Chewie
Tasty, not as good as the one in the city. I liked their drinks, their entrees, and their pizza is bomb dot com. Would go back for those for sure! <br/>I think one of the missing pieces is the service experience. At Jamie's in the city you feel like you're in a completely different country, customer service-wise. It's top quality. Jamie's Trattoria service was good, but missing something special.
Munchies_sydney
Friendly hospitality, very chic interior. The food was delicious, the brownie was to die for and a yummy selection of wine. Convenient location too
Shaun C
Don't let the name fool you. Although the vongole was generous, the dish had waaaaaay too much salt. 'Famous Prawn Linguine' should be changed to 'Famous Little Shrimp Linguine'. Definitely better Italian places around Parra.

Service/Ambience: Arriving at the restaurant during a cool autumn night, we were invited to sit at a busy bar or at an outside table. We were handed menus and were asked to make our own way. Not taking into consideration our direct view of the rubbish bins, their was a nice friendly ambience with half the tables outside filled with occupants. We were soon served by a waitress who brought us water and offered us drinks. The service was good, we felt we were attended to enough without having to bother the host who was checking her phone constantly.<br/><br/>Food: Meatballs were hard and tough, but the sauce accompanying was delicious - pieces of cooked tomatoes that melted when picked up. The zucchini stuffed with feta were nice, but were slivers on the plate. Prawn linguine was the highlight of the night - slightly spicy and pasta cooked perfectly. The Superfood Salad was ordered with grilled chicken, but really didn't need it.<br/><br/>Overall, I was ready to give this place a 1 but the main meals were surprisingly good. There is much to be desired on with the service for the premium price we're paying for a Jamie Oliver named restaurant.
Lee
I'm in love with their fungi pizza. They best pizza ever, the dough is chewy and with all the ingredients and sauce makes the best pizza in the entire universe. Overall that's the best pizza ever. And the spaghetti was average , I ordered prawn linguini but it has some pork broth taste in it. Funny taste.

I was surprised with Jamie's, here in Parramatta. Between this one and the restaurant based in the CBD, I had heard many mixed reviews. <br/>When we arrived for lunch, we were seated immediately. The wait staff were friendly and helpful. <br/>We all chose a pasta dish. It was nice. Was it mind blowing? Not really. I'd recommend giving it a go just to tick it off your bucket list...

Visited Jamie's on a Friday night, was very busy and had to wait a little even though I had made a reservation. However, the food was delicious. I love a good pasta and Jamie's delivered. <br/>The atmosphere has a dark cosy feel to it. Really great place for Parramatta. Definitely recommend the dessert.

I had high hopes for Jamie's Trattoria but it did not live upto the expectation. Restaurant has a good vibe. Ordered mushroom fritters, peri peri chicken and chocolate cheese cake. Fritters were good but nothing special about them. Peri peri chicken..seriously Nandos beats this dish! You got to have 'hot' zing to your peri peri chicken when you say it is hot! Chocolate cheesecake was delicious and the best dish of all. Overall it is an OK restaurant.

Visited Jamies on Sunday night for our anniversary dinner with kind of high expectations becuse theyre always packrd out thur to sat. We ordered the garlic bread, hot salami pizza and shoestring fries since we both werent too hungry! Le bf was pretty pleased with the woodfire pizza esp the sauce, felt a little too bland for me and had just about 4 slices of thin pepperoni haha maybe I was more hungry than I thought? Service was alright tho we couldn't get seated at a normal table or upstairs as apparently there was only 1 wait staff available. Being a little picky but I ordered a mocktail without lime and they forgot and also weren't able to bring out table water or cutlery so lost a few points there guess they were just too busy for us :(

Very friendly service, but the food I ordered (in this case the veal dish) was no good. It was tough, and had strips of chewy fat in it. Maybe it will be better next time. I really should have checked the reviews more carefully.

A good spot in Parramatta. Great vibe with open kitchen feel. Fantastic menu with a lot variety. Great for girls night or date night. Make a reservation as very busy.

Located in the heart of the Parramatta was the infamous Trattoria. Great service, both on the phone and in the Trattoria. Food was exquisite, fresh in every essence and overall a very good fining experience.

Our second time to Jamie's in parra. First time when they first opened and it was delicious and memorable. Surfing the memory wave we went back recently and sadly how times have changed.<br/><br/>The place was not as busy as when it first opened but service was still attentive and professional. Food unfortunately did not live to our expectations. The chicken pate was lovely but just too salty towards the last few bites to a point you need to gulp down loads of water to cleanse your palette. The 'vongole tagliolini' was especially disappointing. Having tried the real deal in Rome this just did not compare. The pipis were hardly reflected in the dish and what little it does come through was an off-putting seafood stench, perhaps the pipis were not fresh. The slow cooked lamb rigatoni tasted more like fast cooked rigatoni. Although the restaurant swore the pasta was freshly house made it just did not taste like it. It was tough in texture and incredibly dense. Not a fan ;(<br/><br/>Overall we expected more for the price we paid<br/>and most importantly we expected more pleasantness from Mr Oliver since I'm a huge fan of his TV shows!

Pizza's are a good size and the pasta was quite tasty, have to say I think the desserts tasted better than the mains themselves...not bad for the price you are paying, not spectacular but will most likely go back to try other things

Not a bad addition to the Parramatta area. Jamie's Italian Trattoria offers a simple menu with options for the usual suspects, pizza, pasta and mains and if you didn't know they also serve breakfast.<br/>There was a few of us dining we opted for the anti pasti platter which gets made and charged per head. A delicious spread of char grilled veggies, kale salad, cheeses olives and cold cuts. <br/>Most of us enjoyed our mains while others though they were a little bland. I had the lamb rigatoni which was rich but filling and went well with a few glasses of Rose.<br/>The lunch service was quite busy inside with the service lacking a little as they tried to keep up with the rush. There's also outdoor seating however I would expect the better service to be inside. <br/><br/>Best for: A long lunch/catch up with friends

Mmmmmmm really delicious hot italian pizza and wine! Great service, spacious restaurant in a central parramatta location! Love this type of pizza!!

We went to the trattoria in Parramatta. Lovely little restaurant. Try getting outside seating if the weather is good. The square is fantastic on a summer evening. <br/>Good was gorgeous as expected. I am a huge Jamie Oliver fan so I am a bit biased. I had the osso buco lamb with polenta. Lamb was well cooked and the polenta had a slight citrus flavour running through it which was quite complimentary to the lamb. Do order some some seasonal veggies on the side. They were cooked beautifully. <br/>Service was friendly and helpful. Will definitely go back for some traditional pastas next time.

First of all, this franchise is so much more spacious compared the Jamie's Italian located in the CBD. This was also the place of choice for our annual cousin/family/bring your +1 Christmas dinner 🎄<br/><br/>Everyone agreed on the Set Menu, although a bit on the pricey side, the food did not fail to disappoint! From entrees, to their mains and desserts every dish had its own stand out.<br/>We didn't want to miss out on any of the desserts, so my table chose one of each to share around like a sushi train 🚂 best idea evahh!<br/><br/>Overall a great dining and food experience with a distinctive exterior and interior design to the restaurant.<br/>

Food has a way of transporting us to another place. With the right flavours, it can bring back cherished memories you don't even know are in your mind. This is exactly what Jamie's vongole tagliolini gave me. This pasta is full of flavours of the sea and brought back childhood memories of me growing up in a seaside town. I remember going to the beach before sunset and digging my toes in the sand to check for pippis. I love it when food does this to me. <br/><br/>Unfortunately, I can't say the same thing for Gennaro's burger. It's just too dry for my liking. <br/><br/>Plus factor: I love that they also serve good coffee.

We came with a bit party for a birthday dinner and were really happy with the lovely service and yummy food. Inside the restaurant is a bit loud so we asked if we could move a party of 9 outside at peak time and they were incredibly nice about it and it was all sorted no problems. The food was delicious and the service after that was consistently very good. Would definitely recommend. Especially love the authentic Italian cocktails!

We chanced upon Jamie's Trattoria while searching for the Saturday Eat Street in Paramatta. When we realised they had a brunch menu, we took it as a sign and walked straight in. The interior is very sleek and polished, staff were welcoming. The brunch menu is quite limited but there's always the standard DIY brekky to fill any gap. Not being very hungry, we ordered The Full Monty to share with an additional side of focaccia. The Full Monty is basically their version of a big brekky baked in a wide clay pot. The beef sausages were flavoursome but not fatty, the homemade baked beans were al dente and the eggs even yielded good eggporn. Some rashers of bacon, fried potatoes with caramelized onions and grilled mushrooms rounded off the dish. The side of focaccia was soft and not too "bready", perfect for mopping up the last vestiges of the clay pot. Didn't try the coffee but they use Double Roasters.

Coffee here is fantastic! Can honestly say it's probably the best I've had in Parramatta. Wasn't very impressed with the lack of mid-week breakfast menu but they serve pastries to go with your coffee... Very Italian!!! Overall good experience. Would like to come back for lunch sometime.

Stopped in for lunch...enjoyed the home style approach to the menu. <br/><br/>Service was quick on a busy Saturday afternoon. <br/><br/>All the classic dishes you'd expect, can't help but draw comparisons to Crinitis. <br/><br/>Overall this place is adequate of its price point, great service & location with fine food that's uncomplicated.

Slow service for the breakfast shift but very nice homely food. Coffee also very nice. <br/><br/>Good value for money we had change from a 50 for a breakfast for 2 including drinks.

I love the interior of this Jamie's compared to the one located in the CBD. The menu is a lot more limited than the CBD location and doesn't include the famous squid ink pasta but it's a small price to pay for the ever famous polenta chips. I've been here a couple of times and the food has been pretty good but nothing amazing.

I had previously gone to Jamie's Kitchen in Sydney's CBD and was a bit disappointed by the food so after reading reviews that it wasn't the best at his Parramatta restaurant either, I didn't get my hopes up. I'm happy I didn't because I was so pleasantly surprised with how good everything was. I ordered the super-food salad with smoked Salmon and Polenta Chips. Easily one of the best salads I've had packed full of Flavour and the Polenta chips were just crisp and to die for. The staff were super friendly and the venue itself is lovely. So happy this is in Parramatta, it's worth a visit!

Terrible place, ridiculously over priced and very poor quality of food. I have eaten there 4 times and I have always walked out dissapointed. Pizza is Flavourless, toppings are never fresh neither substantial. Pasta is really average, really nothing special. And what is more ridiculous is the $36 stake with absolutely no side dishes like Salad, or chips. When I asked the staff member why they had no side dishes they said it's because it's a top quality steak, but it was just a chewy piece of meat, I would 100% times prefer a steak from a pub. I am surprised this is branded as Jamie Oliver, definitely the worst one out there. Desserts are dry, hard and tasted old, I would get more of a cake out of a 7-eleven shop.

Had an absolutely lovely lunch here today. Had the mushroom friti for entree it's was so good. Crispy fried mushrooms at its best. We also had the focassia rosemary bread with olive oil. For mains we tried the fungi pizza.<br/><br/>Thin crust pizza and as the name suggests mushrooms with rocket. My husband who requires chilli was happy to eat all the food without chilli. To finish we had the chocolate and hazelnut artic rool, which was a perfect way to finish the lunch.<br/><br/>Have to add the staff is really nice and helpful as well as happy to have a chat. This was our third visit to a Jamie Oliver outlet first London, then Adelaide and now Sydney and I have to say the food and staff at each one is excellent and very pleasant. Always happy to go back.

Having dined at Jamie's Italian and finding it overhyped although reasonably priced, I expected Jamies Trattoria to be on par with the CBD restaurant and it was. Pasta was al dente which was appreciated but I felt like this was false advertising 'garlicky prawn' which lacked a garlic punch and the prawns were chopped up not whole and it had roughly three prawns worth, hardly worth it. Spago Sydney craps all over the famous Jamie's offerings in Sydney.

Oh my god. The food here is delicious. The staff are super friendly and the restaurant itself is well decorated. <br/><br/>We ordered the lamb rigatoni and it was heavenly! The lamb was so flavoursome and fell off the bone.. Purely cooked to perfection. We also had the prawn linguine that was also yummy too! I love spicy food so I added chilli to both dishes hehe. <br/><br/>I would definitely recommend and come here again to try the other pasta dishes

Underwhelming food. Prawns unpeeled and uncleaned. Kids lunch box was a massive disappointment. Chicken wraps were on dry, hard corn wraps. My son enjoyed his apple! Would not recommend.

I won't go here the second time. The food was super disappointing and damn expensive for this kind of food. I mean if you are spending so much money, then you expect some decent kind of food, but nooo there food was quite sucky. Food is only pretty to look at, not good in taste at all.<br/>We ordered Bruschetta, Pizza and one side along with 2 House wines and the bill was $60. <br/>Wouldn't recommend any dish.<br/>Final verdict: I won't come here again!

Went to Jamie's in Parramatta with a couple friends on a Friday night, only to find a grasshopper in my polenta chips. Response from management can't control the bugs... I would of expected more from the Jamie Oliver brand

People who think the food here is good does not know what good food taste like. I'm really dissappointed. Twice I tried the foid here giving them a second chance but both twice i felt that Crinittis has better pasta. Even my daughter didn't like it. At least the coffee was good.

The food was good, some dishes lacked a bit of that extra oomph but some were very tasty and more-ish. We had 6 adults and two kids and it was very spacious. The kids meals were very generous and they were prepared with colouring pencils and activity sheets for the kids which was great. However, we ordered two dishes of arancini balls but were surprised they cut one of the arancini balls into half on each dish leaving them looking quite uneven and awkward (I had a discussion about the entrees being for the adults only so I'm not sure why they did that). They were quite busy on a Tuesday night but service was fairly prompt given how much was going on. The italian hot pizza was a bit strange with full-size chillies dominating the toppings with not much else. <br/>Great for kids | Smaller than expected adult meals | Some dishes were stars and some were a miss

I came here for a birthday dinner and happened to be in their Xmas special menu period. So I thought We should give it a try the $48 three course meal: I've tried Jamie Italian in the city and loved it! So I came to this parramatta branch with a bit of expectation :) and it turned out to be very good too! The fish plank was delicious! For the main, I would recommend to try the veal and the salmon. For dessert, the trifle and brownie were the better ones. On a Monday night, the restaurant is still packed! Top table service! Also really appreciate their seriousness on their presentation and taste of the food! Will definitely come back and bring friends along to try the rest of their menu.

I enjoyed my meal at Jamie's, I had the spaghetti with prawns, rocket and chilli, it was a nice simple tasty pasta, it could have had a bit more flavour and 'oomph' but it was generally a nice dish! Also the famous green olives are really good so try those while you're there!

Terrible service. There are tables outside. But no service. Took 10 min to get a menu. I even have to ask for a menu. Then waited another 10 min in the cold to order. Three waiter or waitresss walk pass but don't even notice you. Don't have seats outside if there is no waiter or waitress dedicated outside. No point because customer will be ignored. Not waiters fault, just too busy for a friday afternoon with not adequate staff.
Fat & The Furious
Sad to know that these meals were pre-pre-pared however flavour was robust and polenta chips are to die for - I suggest you make reservations to avoid a 1 hour for a dinner on Friday night.

Just another ordinary restaurant. As it carries Jamie Oliver's name, I would expect more tasty food. Seriously more seasoning for the mains may help, especially the prawn linguine - so bland and it tasted a bit doughy to me (maybe I just don't know pasta well enough, but it did taste like 1 or 2 minutes undercooked). Also, we were told that they ran out of Arctic roll when ordering desserts:( haven't come across this often from a proper restaurant. Overall can't pick anything outstanding.

OK OK OK. WHERE DO I START.<br/><br/>- Amazing layout<br/>- Amazing food<br/>- Amazing wine<br/>- Amazing service<br/><br/>AND THEY SPLIT BILLS WITH A SMILE.<br/><br/>I've lived in parramatta for ever and when this places opened up I didn't head there right away thinking it was a little cliche. Well that was my biggest mistake. Instantly seated and handed menus and read out the specials (from memory) you can just feel the love and warmth Jamie wanted to bring to his customers food experience.<br/><br/>The wine was served (and recommended) safe to say we were giggling after a few sips. The food was shortly placed on our tables in such a discrete way we only noticed because of the smell. We ordered mozzarella balls.. barramundi and lamb and only spoke to insist we try eachother food. Truly amazing flavors!<br/><br/>I little pricey but well worth it and decent portions that saw us very happy and full. The dessert menu was soon offered and an Arctic roll placed before us to admire and of course devour.<br/><br/>We were not rushed or bothered and checked on just enough to not feel annoyed.<br/><br/>Bring everyone. You won't regret it. One of my best foodie experiences to date.

I was genuinely excited to come here, mainly because it was a restaurant by Jamie Oliver. I wanted to be able to finally taste his cooking. I had a wonderful pasta dish with a lot of flavour. The pasta was cooked to perfection and the customer service was outstanding, I had ordered a delicate glass of red wine that wasn't too strong and too sweet, exactly what I desired.  Thank you Jamie Oliver and staff for providing me with a wonderful experience !<br/><br/>Jamie experience 2 - 24/10/2015<br/><br/>Once again an outstanding experience ! I just LOVE THIS PLACE ! I had the lamb and wow ! Just wow ! Those capers creeped up on me and so happy they did, I've never thought to add capers to that savoury sensational mash, mixed with fresh herbs and lamb that just fell off the bone. For my drink I had the Florence fizz and this drink was beautifully made, compliments to the cocktail chef ^_^ <br/><br/>Came back for more, and will come again !

Spread out across two floors, I am impressed that the place was abuzz on a Saturday arvo.  The menu is fun and has choices.  I particularly liked the kid's choices, with healthy veg slices, a side serving of small potatoes and chicken skewers, I absolutely loved how they made a yummy dish of pips, perhaps not easy to cook with but the did well with my spaghetti and light sauce. We tried a serve of polenta balls, subtle served hot and piping. Service was friendly and responsive even on a busy day.  The restaurant has adopted the practice of having a limited time for diners, following the footsteps of some other places, a feature I am not agreeable with though.

Trying out Jamie's at Parramatta for the first time. The ambiance feels really great, it is spacious, comfortable and homely. The set up is much better here compared with the Sydney CBD restaurant. The wait staff is really nice and super helpful. We ordered a few starters to share and a main. I must say the starters, calamari & zucchini, seared tuna and polenta chips taste better than the main. A good quick hearty meal before a show at the Riverside Theatre.
Miss Persistant
Was super excited to be able to book a table at short notice. Decor was rustic, staff were friendly. We ordered a heap of food and was surprised by the reasonable prices. Got some complimentary desserts. It was tasty but felt I could have easily whipped these up at home, especially as his recipes and cookbooks are easy to get hold of and somewhat easy to follow with common ingredients. Kids however loved the meatballs and I loved the price $12.50 for 5 big ones.

We had squid for entree which was good but the main was awful.  The steak was one of the worst i have ever had.  I think the idea is that this restaurant is almost run by kids and supervised by only one adult manager.   I just cannot believe that Jamie oliver quality of steak is so bad and a pub would do a better job,

Burnt Pizza Base at Jamie's Italian Trattoria<br/>I had dined here with my family on 26th Sep. I had come in as a walk in customer and they told me it would take 45 minutes to get a seat. They were kind enough to give me a call once the seats were available. <br/><br/>We ordered a funghi mishti pizza, tomato bruschetta, and a kids margherita pizza. <br/><br/>The base of both the pizza's was burnt and the mushrooms in the fungi pizza were overcooked. We told the staff about the burnt base and they told us that they would give this feed back to the chef. <br/><br/>I once again mentioned this to the staff at the reception before exiting the restaurant and I was told that the burnt food was probably due to the oven that's used by the restaurant. In that case the restaurant is using a faulty oven. <br/><br/>No one made any attempt to check the food quality or replace the portions. What a terrible experience. <br/>Jamie, you gotta dine here once before even trying to open another place in Sydney.
FoodArchitect
Nice place. Surprised is it was still busy when the restaurant revolution was around. The pasta I had was delicious (can't remember the name?), although a little more chilli than I expected. Great place to dine or to just have a coffee.

I have had 2 different dishes from Jamie's - the fettuccine and the chicken al mattone. On both occasions, the fettuccine has been delicious. Rich in flavour and a nice filling dish. The chicken al mattone was nice but it was a bit bland. It was also a very small serving. It was $28 when I ordered it I think, now it seems they have jacked up the price to $31 which it is definitely not worth.
Brutal_AF
Tried their "famous prawn linguine" and for $26.50 I was expecting large prawns but got a few baby prawns tossed in my bland pasta. The squid antipasti and arancini balls were yummy but both portions were tiny. Kale slaw was meh... healthy? Bland. Does not compare to city restaurant and quite disappointed since I'm such an avid Jamie Oliver fan
