Review Sayers Sister - Perth

Kit Teguh
After years of coming back to Perth, rocking up to Lake Street in the weekend and never getting a spot to sit here, I finally came back on my day off and managed to snag a place. I can understand the hype now, because everything about Sayers Sister is pretty spot on. I had perfectly cooked beef briskets which was elevated by the jalapeno and smoked chilli mayo. The quiche is probably one of the best in town, and the dessert tarts are awesome. You can't book on weekends and public holidays, but still a good idea to make a booking for weekdays anyway.

Great coffee - lovely atmosphere - yummy menu! Today I had the croquettes which are so so good! I just find the lump of wilted spinach on dishes so uninspiring .( that’s just me!) but this is well worth a visit!

Coffee was good and service was great. Ordered the croquettes and weekend special pancakes. Croquettes were delicious, pancakes was just okay. Price is on the higher end.

Dropped by for a casual lunch. Got the bacon roll and was not disappointed. It came with an unhealthy level of bacon in long stripes. The avocado underneath makes it a healthy dish 😂. Coffee was also good. This place seems like a work place now with a lot of people on laptops.

Delish fritters: so so filling plus some nice crispy hash browns! Lovely service: so accommodating! Always so busy inside but sat outside and was offered for the heaters to be put on due to it being a crisp morning which was so thoughtful! Staff bubbly and not seeming stressed despite the busyness which I think is an underrated skill! Lovely experience with great food and a chilled morning!

Had the French toast and Rosti. Great atmosphere and quick service. Coffee is divine. The one hour max seating is a bit short to try and finish your meal but otherwise a great spot

Very good food, nice decorated and furnished breakfast place with friendly staff. I couldn't imagine that I would have such a delicious and refreshing salmon salad as a brunch.

Had a very nice breakfast here, the beans with chimichurri were super tasty and a massive portion that even I struggled to finish. My brother had the potato rosti which was also awesome and I really want to try next time. Coffees and chai were great!

I have heard a lot about Sayers Sister, so decided to give it a try for Sunday breakfast. It is in Northbridge at the Bulwer St end of Lake St. I haven’t been to this area before and was quite surprised to stumble across some other places that I have heard of such as Tarts and The Dizzy Witch. Sayers Sister was the only of these restaurants with a queue, so we persevered and queued up. The restaurant is not quite as chaotic as Sayers in Leederville, the whole layout is better, and the staff allocate tables, so it is a much fairer system.

Brunch was okay here. Food were inventive so the menu was exciting. But when we ordered it, it only tasted average.

We also went on a really hot day and there were no AC inside the shop. Very hot and uncomfortable.
Harsh But Fair
Always an amazing spot to head for a breakfast. Nice coffee, creative menu items and some classics done very well too. Can get very busy and be quite loud, very much a cold winters day kind of joint.
More Than Nourishment
We haven’t been in a few years and from memory, it was good but nothing spectacular. After seeing the rave reviews, we thought we would try it out again. When we arrived, I was disappointed to see their menu was different to the one on the website. We chose the brioche French toast with poached pears and maple bacon, and the potato leek croquettes. Both dishes were very rich which was sickening even though the portions were on the small side, especially the French toast which came with only one slice of bread. Unfortunately we had the same experience as last time and it did not live up to the high expectations.

Best vegetarian breakfast, were super accomodating changed the bacon to avo for no extra charge, can never leave without getting piece of truffle slice 😍

Have been here several times in the past for breakfast/brunch, and this was the first time I’ve left a bit disappointed. Food itself was pretty good - we ordered the potato & leek croquettes and the waffles. Coffee was ok, our waitress unfortunately had quite the attitude and was borderline rude to us several times, which made us feel uncomfortable. Decor is funky & eclectic which gives the restaurant a good ambience, this particular day it was full of flies (inside) which was super annoying when we were trying to eat, along with our extremely wobbly table that when asked if we could move to another empty one, our same waitress informed us that “all the other tables in the restaurant are all just as wobbly”...Ok then.

Another little hidden cafe on the edges of Perth city. It is unfortunate this place is not as central.
Greg Holland
One of the busiest places i have seen in perth for breakfast and the food speaks for itself. It was excellent. Service was mint. Reccomend to anyone
Kathryn
Busily humming on a Saturday morning. They were very kind and accommodated me changing my order. The leek croquettes and French toast were perfect for a slightly chilly winter morning. The coffee was fantastic as well.

One of my favorite cafe in Perth. Good coffee and nice brunch. Friendly staff, good service and good manner.. Overall, i would recommend this restaurant with everyone who travel from other place.

Great coffee, OK food.

Coffee was absolutely what you needed to start the day with however the food was mediocre. I ordered the full vegetarian meal with poached eggs and a side of hollandaise while my partner ordered the leek croquette dish. Sadly, the dish was lukewarm and under seasoned. There was no salt or pepper on the table. The eggs were cooked perfectly. There were so many different/contrasting flavours and textures that would've complimented each other had the seasoning been on point. My partner's dish was served in a bowl which made it difficult for him to eat. Again, it lacked in seasoning. The croquettes contained chunks of potato which masked the flavours of the leek. Overall, it was OK, the service was good. Worth a try, at least for the coffee.

Coffee wasn’t hot enough and very milky without much coffee. Breakfast was a pass. Nothing spectacular. Had the full breakfast. The toast here is like rock hard. Not really my idea of good toast when you almost chop a tooth.
Ian
Busy place located near Hyde Park. I normally come for breakfast. Food is ok and service is ok. Coffee is ok. Usually just do scrambled eggs on toast. Used to have chorizo with it but they don’t have it anymore. Wait times are long on weekends.
Sammie
Casual breakfast place. Big lines on Saturday and Sunday mornings. 15 to 30 min wait not uncommon. Good coffee served up. Food is hit and miss. Had poached eggs a few times and on occasions it’s closer to hard boiled or they break the yolk and cover it up with the bread. Might be best to stick with scrambled. Service is pretty average and takes a lot to get the attention of staff after the food is served however they will rush you to order.

After discovering this cafe 6 years ago, this is still one of my favourite cafe around CBD area with new menu every seasons satisfying their customers with new favours.
Craig Lampard
Consistently good food & service at this quaint little cafe in Northbridge. Always a good choice of food on the menu complimented by hot coffee. Can get busy, so you need to get in early if you would like to sit inside. Worth a visit.
Kuruppted
Food was good. Rosti in particular was a great combination of flavours and a generous portion. Croquttes were okay. Tasty but abit pricey for what you receive. Coffees were good and service was good too. Would recommend.
Espresso&Matcha
Whilst we had our first coffee elsewhere, it really isn't a breakfast for us working class without food to start our day. On our way out of town, we stopped at Sayers Sister, a popular cafe with an extensive breakfast menu to get our fix. The theme of today was no doubt exposed brick. I liked the assortment of high chairs and squishy sofas. In the interests of comfort, we opted for sofas.

Nice plating of the breakkie and good coffee. Ingredients for the breakkie are generous. Staff are friendly and prompt. Worth going if you are round the corner.
Red Bean
Really lovely. Almost the same size as Sayers so hard to tell which is a better option if you’re trying to dodge the crowd. Menu is the same, lovely service (anyone who accommodates rogue toddlers is a saint). Beans tagine, potato rosti and coffee on point. Thank you! Also best done bacon in Perth, I’d venture!

I was really unimpressed with this restaurant. There was beautiful decor and it set a homey and cosy atmosphere, but the food was lacking big time. The cakes were nice, but the toast and pumpkin that I ordered was extremely sad and unpleasant. This is place is all look and no taste.
Covert
Had the coriander and cumin beans for lunch. Way overspiced. Why did it need so much. Did the chef accidentally knock over the spice tin. Luckily i didnt eat all. Disgusting. Still repeating on me 8 hours later.
We only had one chance to have brunch in Perth and decided to go here! No regrets, the place was not overly crowded, portion was decent and service was okay. We like the food in general, but my sister the fish cake was a bit fishy 🤔 not sure what I happened there.
JuYeethejoey
Came here several times with friends. I've been ordering potato rosti all these while and decided to give potato cod cake a go this time. It was utterly dissapointing. Ordered a hot chocolate too and it was $4.50 and it didnt even taste average. After eating, we were chilling out and the waitress rushed us to leave by getting us the bill when we didnt even ask for it. The only reason i will come back is for the potato rosti, nothing more.

Holidaying in Perth we wanted to visit the best of the best cafes (especially being from Melbourne). Sayers Sister was a gorgeous little cafe located in the corner of an intersection.

We tried a couple of the eggs dishes and they were certainly up to 'Melbourne' standard. The coffees were delightful albeit there was something 'additional' which maybe wasn't required, in terms of the texture.

Overall, great cafe, lovely ambience, do check it out.
Tensai
Definitely won’t be coming back anytime soon.

There were close to no service and the wait for coffee is more than 40 minutes.

Given the number of alternatives that are available nearby, it really not worth the waste of life waiting.

Lamb Pickles
Other then their coffee and chai being fantastic, their food is great. They make their own chai mix also. Anyways, barista on the day was fantastic - I have never seen such silky smooth soy being made.

Well I seriously was playing the indecisive card when I was looking at what they offered for brunch. I opted for the potato rosti with poached eggs, bacon and a few other toppings. I’m not sure whether I made the right decision to choose this dish because it wasn’t my cup of tea - not sure why. The eggs were cooked perfectly with the egg yolks oozing out.

Huge portions
Delicious quality foods
Excellent service
Parking: free on side streets near by
Quirky but homly interior
Will definitely be back

Ordered the potato rosti! It was a little bit vinegary for my liking but was still really good. The eggs are slightly over poached but the potato rosti made up for it.
My friends ordered the vegetarian breakfast, salmon omelette and they both were hearty in portion and very tasty!
Great coffees too.
Will surely be back!
Only thing is they don’t do smoothies but they do juices so not to worry

Unfortunately I signed up to Zomato just to review this.
Could have given a minus if allowed. Flew across the states to visit this popular cafe but the expectations didn’t meet with the ratings. The cafe was busy as expected and we were assigned to an outmost walkway corner under the sun. It was 35 deg and we were the only table under the sun. Asked the lady look for another seat but she didn’t come back at all, while new customers just headed in. Moved table ourselves 3 times to avoid the burn and headache. Food might have been ok but couldn’t say we get to enjoy the taste under burn and sweaty situation.

Fantastic place for breakfast and great service - definitely recommend. Great atmosphere and excellent coffee. Can recommend the gravlax! Service is really good. Probably worth booking is there is almost always a que.

Always exceptional service at Sayers. Went in today and asked for orange juice. Despite running out, they kindly squeezed some fresh for me. The complementary treats we get with our takeaway drinks are always so delicious too. Thank you for such fabulous customer service - we look forward to returning.

This place was such a great find!!! We had always passed by and were curious about the place for a long time. We had the cumin spiced cod potato cake which was beautiful! There is no fishy taste and the cumin taste does not dominate but if you don’t like cumin I would not recommend it. My cousin had the pulled lamb and pearl barley salad, it was delicious! All the flavours were well balanced... we were very satisfied with the food and we would go back again. The customer service was average as we had to wait for a long time to get seated, and had to look for someone to tell us what to do because nobody noticed us... same when ordering I had to get up to tell them that we needed some service. Apart from that everything was fantastic!
Dan W
One of the best brunches in Perth. I've tried the pulled lamb, potato rosti and beef rilette here and they've been flavourful and more complex than expected. There are a lot of flavours at play with the food. The rilette comes with a salsa and charred pineapple that offsets the saltiness of the beef. The rosti on the other hand was creamy with buttery undertones.

Definitely a must try place if you're after a good brunch.

This cafe is my all time favourite place for a brunch. Coffee is always amazing and hits the spot without fail. Love the fresh baked in premises bread. My favourite dish to order is the bruschetta. Love love love this place!
Sanny Theodora
Im not sure did we order the wrong dish or just isnt my cup of tea. Ordered the pulled lamb and manwich, in which both looked better than what it tasted. They sufficiently does the job rather than fulfilling our expectations of a 4.5* rating (inclined more towards disappointd i should say)
Jayme
Went here on a lunch date with a girlfriend of mine, ordered the pesto bruschetta with crispy bacon and it is to die for! Drinks + food came out very fast. This is a small restaurant so it gets quite busy fast and you may have to wait for a table but we were sitting within 15 minutes. Worth trying!

Big size breakfast, cannot even finish half. The place is lovely for catch up with friends and families. The food is a bit boring compare to its popularity.
Milky Teng
Wanted to have brunch at Sayers sister but breakfast was already finished when we got there so we had lunch instead. We had beef sandwich and seared barramundi. Everything was just perfect. The barramundi was one of the best dishes I have had in Perth. Definitely coming back to try other food on the menu.

I loved the layout here. Friendly and quick service. Just dropped in for a quick coffee. The food looked good so I'll have to try here again.

A hidden gem with unique recipes and nice plating. The name of the cafe and outter appreance may not be catchy but you should never miss this cafe.

Delicious food and great atmosphere. I've eaten here on many occasions and have always walked out with a full belly and big smile. The potato rosti is a particular favourite. Mouthwatering cakes so leave room for dessert. The seating is comfortable and the staff welcoming. Very impressive!

My favourite breakfast in the world. Great service today. Great coffee. And great passion fruit cheesecake. Highly recommend this meal to anyone.

Had the full vegetarian breakfast , it was beautiful . Had a great variety of different foods on the plate to try 😊😊 drinks menu was very small and they did not have any flavour lattes. Food menu was good, lots of great options. Had the honeycomb affogato which was nice 😊 would definitely come back here. The cakes looked amazing , many different kinds of cakes including gluten free options aswell

This was our second time back and i couldnt go past the croquettes....are always a winner! The bruchetta was also quite good with that yummy goats cheese crumble.
Great food and the place is always buzzing. Will defs be heading back for more!!
Everything at Sayers is perfect and worth trying. I usually won't order unless I know exactly what I'm going to eat. In this place we ordered 2 meals that the waiter has recommended without looking at the menu. When the food came l was blown away with the look and taste. I couldn't fault anything.
I think it's one of the best places in Perth for a brunch.
The Chefs Wife
One of Perth’s most highly regarded brunch spots is Sayers Sister, found on the quiet end of Lake Street, near to Hyde Park. The interior is gorgeous. It has a shabby chic feel, with elegant glass pendant lights and comfy high backed armchairs. The coffee is top notch. There’s a well curated menu full of brekkie staples and some surprises, like waffles and their ever-popular croquettes.

If you are looking for a place that is packed out all weekend, then this place is for you. It is definitely not the cheapest breaky in town, but is very tasty and most do love it. Personally I don't like a place where you struggle to get a table, but if your good...your good!
Ooo
Coffee with a treat , best thing in the world! Cakes are nice , the lemon cake are very lemony. Brunch dishes are very pretty, flavor are good.
.ji.sama
fantastic service and great food...love the scrambled eggs on their thick cut ciabatta, toasted to perfection and eggs always cooked perfectly fluffy. i always get a side of relish with it. so simple, so delicious!! the sayers are always there too, super nice people!

Called in for a quick breakfast on a Friday. We were really impressed with the quirky decor and the friendliness of the staff, Although not a large menu, we found a dish that appealed to us...2 (very generous) slices of home made toasted fruit & nut loaf accompanied by a small bowl of strawberry jam, sliced strawberries and cream. That together with a big pot of English Breakfast tea was all we could wish for. Definitely worth finding this lovely little cafe in the back streets of North Perth.

Just like it's older sibling the sister packs a foodie punch. The decor is eclectic and provides some fun to your meal. After admiring the decor our food and coffee arrived in quick order, all with some adventurous but deftly constructed plates. The open omelette had the right amount of seasoning and balance from the balsamic to provide a punch to the palette. Our second breakfast option was the croquettes, which showed texture and and seasoning reign supreme here. Lastly, the sourdough and home made jam was absolutely to die for. I don't know what they did with the jam but is game changing.

Do yourself a favour and get into SS for a great experience.
Food 9.5/10 service 7.5/10 decor 9/10

Delicious and terrific customer experience. We all loved the super tasty food today and the lovely coffee. Pulled lamb and steak sandwich were great. Oh so tender and hot. So glad I read the reviews to find this place.

Visiting from Melbourne we love a delicious breakfast place. We took an uber to get to Sayers Sister and it was totally worth it. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast I had was outstanding. I ordered the parmesan and leek fritters and it was the best breakfast I've had in a long time. It was very unique as the fritters were sitting on top of some creamed leek soup and topped with some crunchy fried leeks. They also hand standard menu items as well but if you're adventurous give this one a try.

The experience was great, it was quite busy but service was efficient and staff was friendly. Decoration and cafe presentation is the perk here. I had a good impression of this place. Food came out promptly and the drinks was serve with a nice touch. Thoroughly enjoyed the full hearted looking brekky, somewhat called the full breakfast work with lovely finish garnish on top was wonderful in both taste and aroma. The Sayers Sister ain't a place to disappoint. Also a cappuccino coffee before the meal was amazing.
Matchamadeinheaven
Came with Madmazz had a killer breakfast! The only slightly negative thing I will say is the staff asked us to order about 12 times... No exaggeration.... As well as the menu items being slightly expensive and overly convoluted with items - but that's just because I'm a basic white who can't handle the pesto 😂

Otherwise service was great, we got a long black and iced coffee and it was awesome. Food was delicious and tasty!!! Also huge portions!!!!!

Would definitely come back!!!! Also the nicest interior and the staff are just so eager to please :)
Mmmmmmarsha
Thankyou for a beautiful brekky.
It's nice to come across and menu which had so many choices and is different from others.
Quirky interior and great service.
Soe
One of my favourite brunch place.
Because of the environment, because of the food, because of the coffee, because of the free parking!
Staff with smile! We enjoy our relax afternoon here!

A couple of months ago, Sunday brunch was had at Sayer’s Sister in Northbridge, Perth. This cafe had been on my hit list of places to try for a few years and I was glad to finally give it a go. We were fortunate enough to find a parking spot right across the road from the cafe, and grab the last two seats outdoors. Very lucky indeed! We were provided with tap water without being asked and provided with menus.
Hui Xiao
friendly waiters and great food. Worth it for the price, nice and relaxing environment. Convenient location with plenty of side parking as well.
Finleyhimawan
Have always come to the Sayers whenever we needed good brunch and was quite happy when they decided to open up one in Perth CBD as now it is closer to home. It is one of my favourite brunch spot with good coffee, great place to catch up with your girlfriends and talk. The service is always excellent and the menu changes are quite interesting and inviting to try. I have tried their chicken salad (as the chicken is always tender and full of flavour not your typical bland salad) and full breakfast a few times and they are normally my go to dishes.
Felicity
This place has a nice vibe from the moment we walked through the doors. The waiter was really nice and attentive. The food was delicious and brilliantly presented! It seems quite busy at the early hours of the morning. The only downside is finding a place. But I will definitely come back for more delicious food!
Katy Brooks
The food here was great. Really tasty, generous portions and a lot of thought gone into the menu. I had the vegetarian full breakfast and tried the croquettes, which were excellent - I wish I'd ordered them!
Kate
A really lovely local cafe. Can't fault the food or service at all. The only downside is that it's expensive (albeit not more so than most places, most of which aren't serving food this good) and on a personal note a somewhat crowded interior that isn't super pram friendly (without a pram, though, you'd be fine and you can just sit outside easily enough).
Danny G
Get through here often. Everything is done right and tastes spot on. Little exe on the price but serves match up. Always packed out so hard to get in... don't be in a rush. Otherwise great place for a chill out.
PerthFoodBlog
You may have noticed there hasn't been a lot of activity on Perth Food Blog lately. It's no big deal, just life got busy and while there was time for eating, there wasn't a lot of time for food blogging. . Last week I met up with a friend who we shall label Wild-in-Bali, and her recently-one-year-old daughter, who we shall label Princess C. We visited Sayers Sister in North Perth. It was only once I sat down and saw the menu I realised I had actually been to Sayers Sister 11 months earlier and was ready to do a review of the place when other life stuff got busy.

Currently my favourite breakfast in Perth and ultra-consistent too! Given how packed they are for breakfast on the weekends, the wait is never too long for a table, and once seated, the service is very attentive no matter how many people they have to attend to. An excellent and original menu makes this place an absolute pleasure to eat at. A fine establishment offering very good value-for-money dishes. Clearly very well run! Highly recommend!
Renato
Outstanding breakfast and great coffee. I had the beetroot salmon gravlax with spinach scrambled eggs and baked ricotta. Yum. The only issue was the toast got very soggy - it would be better served on the side. My friend had fruit toast which was divine.
Kitty Meow
1st time going to this restaurant. Yummy Breaky and Good Environment. Order Beetroot Salmon Gravlax and Coco Latte. The Salmon was amazing but the Coco Latte was alright. Sayers Sister become my favorite restaurant. Definitely will go back again.
Carissa
I came here on a busy Saturday morning and despite the hustle and bustle I received great service!! Food was wonderfully presented and tasty :)
InMyFaceHole
Had breakfast here last weekend. We showed up at 11:35 and just missed the end of the breakfast menu. We were going to leave but the waiter said he would do the really simple breakfast options so we both got bacon and poached eggs. Was super impressed that they went out of the way to cater to us!!
My eggs came out covered in salt and pepper, it was a little much but the eggs were cooked perfectly. The avocado we got as a side was under ripe and was very hard.
The coffee here is quite bitter. I'm used to smooth coffee so I didn't really like it but it might be to some peoples taste.
So overall I was very impressed with the service but the food/coffee was just so so.
Lady X
Served up on a small plate but this cornbread dish was actually pretty filling! The salsa was definitely the highlight of the dish.. wish there was more! Great service and food but probably slightly on the pricey side
Alison
I thought the service was bad. It's very unfortunate because it's so near my house. I really wanted to like this place. Food looked good but poached eggs overcooked. Took away our drinks before we finished. Cakes tasted like it's been in the fridge for a long time. Rude when we were ordering and rude when we were served.
Lynda Thomas
Love this place. We have been coming here every few weeks for the last few years and have never had 1 bad experience. the food is always exceptional and the service nothing but great! we will continue to be regulars forever haha. The leek and parmesan croquettes omg!!
Matt
Sayers Sisters is a unique and quirky little café with excellent service, food and drinks. We went with a large group for breakfast and were pleasantly surprised to be offered some muffins while we waited for our table. The meal was delicious and well presented. Definitely recommend trying it!
" THE " CRITIC
Been wanting to try this place for a while due to the hype on instagram. The food looks good however seems a bit pricey for what you get. The food was good though and quite filling. More friendly customer service would make this a better visit.
Tani
Got here at 11am on a Sunday. It was full but we got a table straightaway. Was lucky as there was a line soon after we sat down. Came here for the waffles but it was no longer on the menu. Ordered the bacon wrapped asparagus and potato rosti. Both were really tasty, really enjoyed it.

Service was really good too, will definitely be back!
Bart Gucwa
What an awesome place. The music, staff and of course food! Truly a special place for breakfast. Fresh and super unique menu every time. I travel 30 km on Sundays here as an average place just wont do anymore. Not many places that offer a complete package in Perth sadly snd thats why its even more special
Kai Chong Jee
I have nothing but praise for this restaurant. We came with a group of 7 adults and 2 little kids and a 2 babies with prams. The staff were so accommodating. Moved tables around to fit us all in. It was very very appreciated . The food was excellent, fresh, full of colour, really gets your attention. I had the traditional bacon, poached eggs and sourdough. The table also ordered the tea chicken salad, braised beef Panini and croquettes. The food came out within 15 minutes and all together so no one was waiting while the others had theirs. Coffee was just nice and up with the best in Perth. Again the staff were juat great. They came a couple of times during our seating to ask if everything was ok, we were normally with a mouth full of food so just nodding for appreciation. All in all we will come back and bring our friends
Serena
I love Sayers Sister. We have been here many times for breakfast and the food is consistently excellent! My husband can't go past the full breakfast. It is a full breakfast like no other - definitely not boring. I absolutely recommend the leek and potato croquets. On our last visit, i had the potato rosti - a generous slice of potato rosti with spinach, bacon and two poached eggs. It was delicious. If you don't like waiting in line, wake up early to beat the crowd.

This is one of my favourite places to eat breakfast or lunch in Perth. I love the Rosti. Coffee is lovely ! We followed the owners here after Sayers Leederville was sold. The only thing I dislike are the really big chairs inside, they are so uncomfortable to eat food in and awkward.

I dine at Sayers easily 2-3 times per week.

Thank you for pumping out some wicked food . Xx

This place never disappoints. The food and coffee is consistently great! There can be a bit of a wait for a table during busy periods but it is worth it.
Ben Stokes
Consistently very good. We go somewhere for breakfast every Saturday and Sayers Sister consistently delivers high quality food and service.
Christina
My partner eats here regularly and raves about it so I was very excited to head to brunch with him. I opted for the leek croquettes but could hardly even eat half of the dish as it was too rich and the greens underneath were soggy and a bit gross. Bf's food was delish, cute interior and good coffee. But yeah, don't get the croquettes :(
Foodie In Paradise
We came to Sayers sister for brunch yesterday. It was very busy, we were told that we might have to wait around 20minutes to get a table. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive, during our waiting time, she offered us free muffins and water.
We ordered the potato rosti, leek & parmesan croquettes and the vegetarian full breakfast. All the food tasted amazing and very well presented.
Overall, definitely will recommended this cafe to everyone. Food was great as usual and they provide a top notch customer service . Love the coziness and the ambience of this cafe too.

At first thoughts when my breakfast came out I didn't think it was any thing "special", and then I started to eat (I had the full breakfast with scrambled eggs) the potato Rosti was amazing with seeded mustard mixed through it wow! The eggs were perfect, bacon on point and the chrizo was an nice added touch the mushrooms with pesto were lovely my only real criticism were the beans tbh defiantly could have had a deeper flavour to them but otherwise we'll worth it! And I'll be back for sure (early to get a table inside :) )

I got the Cornbread (moist and crumbly) with poached eggs, yum roasted pumpkin, ricotta but soggy spinach leaves ( bit too healthy for me)! I found it a bit bland overall but thats me. Overall well balanced and an excellently plated brekkie. Initially I thought it was pricey but the portions are massive, and the meal for me was breakfast + lunch (I know brunch) so quite worth it! I love how they have a lot of interesting vegetarian options. Friend got a rice pudding of some sort, felt quite sweet and heavy. Nice coffee. Was packed on the sunday. Very hipster funky ambience. Want to go back but quite a trek from the station as on the outskirts of Northbridge!
Shoey Kay
Loved everything about this place, great coffee, delicious and interesting food, good portion size, cozy and friendly atmosphere, knowledgeable staff, but I felt it was a touch over priced.

We came to Sayer's Sister just before they closed the kitchen at 2:30pm, so we ordered straight away. I ordered the maple roasted ironbark pumpkin with cornbread, eggs and baked ricotta. It came out after about 10 minutes. Presentation wise it was stunning. The pumpkin was roasted to perfection and placed neatly under the baked ricotta and on top of poached eggs and a large slab of cornbread. I removed all the spinach first as I don't like it, and then proceeded to dig in to the pumpkin. The pumpkin was well roasted, it cut like butter and was soft. The baked ricotta had a nice flavour and texture which complemented the corn bread. The cornbread was nice and crumbly- just like authentic American cornbread. The eggs were poached perfectly, they had a nice runny yolk. Overall, nice cakes and coffee and cute decor with amazing food.

Another good one. The pulled lamb and black pudding with pearl barley is really good and tasty. Unfortunately my friend was slightly disappointed with the black pudding, he said it had a slightly sour/bitter taste. The beet-cured salmon gravlax was okay. salmon was fresh but it wasn't really blowing our mind off.

The food here is pretty expensive, but the portions are massive so its worth it! Ordered the potato rosti with bacon, poached eggs & chutney on a thursday morning. The interior design has a vintage feel, with bright coloured furniture. Service was quick & food served fast too. I can't lie, I found the food to be a little bland.. the potato rosti had no seasoning but was well complimented with the salty bacon. The meal was filling, i doubt i'd come here again though.

Absolutely divine! Yummy food- all made by hand! My bean tagine with poached eggs was scrumptious. Portions are very generous; I had to take half home. Yum!! Washed down with delicious watermelon, orange & ginger juice. Great ambience, excellent friendly service. Definitely a must!!

My daughter and I came here for a Sunday brunch and boy weren't we impressed! We joined the queue and waited patiently with the rest of the keen brunchers for a seat. Even the drizzling rain didn't deter anyone from waiting so I had a feeling that we were going to be in for a treat. After about 10 minutes, two seats that were facing a window which had a wooden plank for a table (the people before us knocked it back) was offered to us, we gladly accepted. Within minutes of sitting we were handed menus and asked if we would like to order coffees, which we did. Wasn't long after that our breakfast order was taken. I ordered the vegetarian full breakfast and my daughter ordered the beetroot gravlax salmon. Both dishes were outstanding! They were presented well, looked fresh and both had great flavours. The coffee was spot on too! Overall the service was fantastic considering how busy they were, the food was outstanding and the coffee didn't disappoint. The place has that good feel buzz about it and didn't seem to be too noisy even though it was full. Some places just know how to get it right and this is one of them. A Perthfect start to a Sunday.

Nice little cafe in Northbridge. It was an icon when it opened but now a few similar type cafes have come up. But still good place to go for nice brunch, cakes and good coffee.

I can't get enough!!!
If you visit Sayers Sister on the weekend expect a line. Don't stress though because while you are waiting the staff usually bring you a sweet treat (slice/muffin) for you to eat :)
Once your table is ready you will walk into a cafe that has mirrors, pictures and door frames fitted on all walls making you look at everything and everywhere, this also includes polished concrete, exposed brick and cool light fixtures.
There tables and seats are cool and comfortable, it's hard to be seated somewhere in Sayers Sisters and not be happy.
The coffee is amazing, it's always consistently good and they use one of the most highly rated beans in Australia.
The food is unreal and always comes in generous portions.
I definitely think that Sayers Sisters (not Sayers) is the best cafe in Perth.
Not to forget about the service, friendly, memorable and always consistently good.

Been for brunch and absolutely loved it! I got the Parmesan and leek croquettes. The best indulgent dish. would definately recommend. Also had the sweet waffles with nutella and pear, good shit!

I tried the chocolate coconut water- which unfortunately was rather tasteless
