Review Mount Street Breakfast Bar - Perth

Lena El-Farra
Friendly staff, great food, and the location is really nice (so close to Kings Park). Ordered the chili crab eggs and the flavor was really unique and delicious. The picture doesn’t do the food justice as I felt that they could take up their food styling and plating up a notch. But would definitely be coming back to this place again.

Love this place for breakfast when I visit Perth. It is open early even on a Sunday when other cafes are not. Service was friendly and waiters seemed genuinely interested in our plans while visiting Perth. The place seemed popular with cyclists being located just a stone's throw away from the bike path along the highway. We will return again for sure.

It was new exp and was perfect. Milky butter, great texture, new scrambled eggs. We ordered chilli crab and french toast latte and iced choc. Even drink was fantastic

Great location, friendly service and most importantly, excellent food! My favourite dish was the chilli crab scrambled eggs which I highly recommend. Coffee was also excellent here, although unfortunately they only sell coffee beans in 1kg bags ($50).

I loved this place. It's a really good option for take the breakfast-lunch. Great food and the service couldn't be better. Javier was really attentive and kind on everyone. Highly recommended♡.

So glad to discover this hidden gem near the bottom of Mount Street. A modern breakfast bar with top-tier customer service. - The food is fresh and high quality. I had a brunch of sides, which was delicious; - Service is excellent. The waiters are accommodating and efficient; - Their coffee is great; and - Calming ambience - tinted lighting, Persian-style rugs on walls and exaggerated lamp shades.

Dear Mount Street Breakfast Bar, I ordered the Roasted Mushrooms, Walnut Pesto, Poached Eggs + Sourdough plus a flat white coffee and it looks amazing, wonderful, fabulous, excellent, spectacular, marvellous and it must taste truly remarkable and awesome. The Mushrooms are cooked to perfection, Sourdough bread is crunchy the middle and crust and moist in between, poached eggs are boiled to perfection and flat white taste so incredible. Hospitality is just awesome and atmosphere is terrific, thanks to you approximately 6 to 9 staff members on Australia Fathers Day. 😀 :) Plus it cost $22.50 but will pay them $30.00 an increase of 33.333334% for their friendly service and hospitality and others plus lockdown during the COVID-19 pandemic but they didn't accept $7.50 due to EFTPOS machine and their system so instead I gave $50 extra tip on top of $22.00, total cost $72.00, it is worth it. This is as of Wednesday 29th September 2021 at 7:30am AWST. I ordered Salmon Pastrami Omelette with Goats Cheese plus Spinach and Avocado for $23 Hot Chocolate for $4 Ordered at 7:17am on Wednesday 29th September 2021 and the drink arrived first then the breakfast came at exactly 7:25am. It looks delicious and cooked to perfection. It must taste awesome, magnificent and fabulous. Ultimate unconditional greatness love and kind regards, Steve Chong.

Good service, thank you. The menu options looked fabulous, and the group I was with ordered a good selection of dishes for breakfast. I'd say the food was good but not excellent, but really this place seems to be "on trend" more than "on quality". It's not bad, but I won't go back in a hurry. Specifically I had the chill crab scramble, it was OK with a nice chilli kick suited to a breakfast option. A little oily though and not a whole lot of crab... Reasonable.

This was my first time to MSBB - one of my favourite streets in Perth and now one of my favourite cafes. I was there to catch with an old friend after 20 years. Firstly parking in this street is rather expensive but at least it's not like Town of Vincent which only allows limited payment (annoying). The cafe has a very relaxed atmosphere and the perfect place to sit and have coffee or a bite to eat from a very good menu. As it was late morning I had the French toast with bacon, strawberries and chocolate chilli oil. I'm not convinced that chocolate goes with anything savoury however I still enjoyed it. The coffee was gone d and the service was fine. We were later joined by the owner himself, a very interesting, knowledgeable and might I add good looking guy who happened to know my friend. We had a lovely chat and I came away feeling like I would love t go back with some friends. I would fully recommend this place for sme nice food, good coffee, friendly unpretentious ambience and if you're lucky enough to meet the charming owner then you should give this place a good rating

I had the pumpkin and potato hash with dukka yogurt ball thingy and bacon. OMG best breakfast ever. The delicate spices and seeds and spiced purée was a marriage made in heaven. My hubby's bean wasn't as spectacular but that's because mine was the best ever!! Coffees were spot on too as was the hair of the dog Bloody Mary's.

Love this place. A hidden gem with beautiful food and great coffee. The French toast was amazing! Avocado with goats cheese also a must.
Felicity Di Bello
Awful service. No offer of an apology after waiting over an hour for our breakfast. Tables that were seated after we had ordered were served food before us. When the food came out they missed a meal completely and missing ingredients from other meals. Terrible.
Chez De Bartolo
This hidden gem ticks all the boxes! Service, great coffee, interesting menu and great atmosphere.

I loved the omelette n the service was outstanding would recommend it to anyone.

Nice atmosphere, friendly (good looking) staff yummy food. The perfect place to go for breakfast. Definately recommend giving it a shot!

Love staying here when in Perth and the breakfast is the best in the West. Seriously top notch coffee and service too. Love it all!!

Yum!! Yum!! Yum!!! Exactly what my doctor ordered. The most delicious, full of flavour breakfast. I had the prawns and scrambled eggs, never thought prawns can be a breakfast food, but DELICIOUS!! Well done guys.

Had a really lovely family gathering here this morning. The menu was inventive, different & very yummy. Service was also given with a smile . Well done keep It up

Lovely breakfast, interesting people and sites close to CBD and walking distance from Kings Park

Lovely creative menu. Fast and friendly service. Cozy venue.

Nice hideaway after a long walk in king's Park. Yummy food, albeit took its time coming out. Great selection, very busy!

I liked the location. It is ver close to Kings Park, in a quiet street. The outdoor seating area is under the porch, so it has great coverage and provides a nice breeze on a hot day like today.<br/>I ordered my usual coffee and a dish of white beans and sicilian sausages. It was delicious! Very hearty dish, and tasty.<br/>The service was very slow and we had to ask the waitress several times to come see us to take our order. The place was not even busy.<br/>I have ordered butter to go with my toasts... I’m still waiting for it! It’s a shame because I’m not sure I’d go back -simply because of poor service.
Dani Kate
A really nicely decorated venue for breakfast. A good selection on the menu. I had Shakshuka with goats cheese which was really nice. Their juices are lovely and server in really nice glasses. Service was polite and friendly and quick.

Awesome neighborhood gem - Mount St residents have lucked out big time! Great menu and venue; the staff are delightful as well! Keep up the good work 👍<br/>Could maybe add a few more items to the dinner time menu that’s aren’t tapas...so you can either have tapas or a meal to yourself - just a suggestion 😊

Wasn’t a great experience. Booked for Father’s Day four weeks ago and was sat at a reserved table. Thought everything was ok, but no water was offered. Asked for water and the waitress did apologise for forgetting and brought the water. About 10 minutes later they’d taken our order and then another waitress came and asked if we minded moving as they needed the table now. Confused(as this was a reserved table I’d booked 4 weeks ago) we said that was fine and were put outside where it was very noisy and was put on a shared table. I complained just as the food was coming out as I said I’d booked and the waitress seeming very stressed checked if there was another inside table. She said there was, my family and I had to carry our own plates and when we went to the table, another waitress said we couldn’t sit there to the waitress directing us. I said can we just have our original seats this was getting ridiculous and my mother was getting quite stressed by the whole experience. We also had my grand mother who’s 92 and moving around like this was not great. The waitress apologised again and said they needed our first table as they had a group of 16 coming in. It appeared they didn’t have a reservation, we were just shafted from our reserved seats for what seems to be a cash grab by the cafe. I can understand wanting to make money, but this was completely unprofessional when someone books 4 weeks in advance to be treated like this. They offered free coffee but this was a poor compensation for the way we were treated on a special day.

Food is good. Has always been good. Service can be slow and cold but once they’ve warmed up to you, they’re a nice enough bunch. Baked eggs, scrambled eggs, poached eggs - no faults to be found. Coffee isn’t my favorite there but it’ll do. The food is where it’s at!

Tbh, this place was quite disappointing. The menu (now updated compared to the one here on Zomato) sounded much more promising then the meals that came to our dish. I had the corn and mustard fritters with brisket. The brisket was the best part, but with only 2 pieces I didn't enjoy the dish for very long. The accompanying sauces didnt seem to add much flavour and overall it was only ok. My friends had the pork dish which surprisingly came as a sandwich despite no bread being described on the menu? Unfortunately a lack of any sauce in the sandwich made it dry and quite sad. The bloody marys were left pretty much untouched - the amount of spice packed into them was an assault to the throat. I do admit that the location was nice and staff were friendly, however I suggest passing on the dishes we had.

I quite enjoyed the food here. The menu has a variety of tastes and it all sounds delicious. I ordered the spanish baked eggs with chorizo and egg. The flavour was just right and i didn’t need to add salt. The only thing i wasn’t happy with was the long wait for our order to be taken however after that everything was fine. Price wasn’t too bad either considering the location.
Kris
MUST try this place for breaky. We went on a public holiday so you can imagine it's going to be busy and it was. Was told it would take 20 minutes for food to come out but the food came out quicker then excepted and WOW the pumpkin breaky with pouched eggs and dukah! Incredible!!! So much flavour and looked very appealing. Don't not go past this place for breaky.<br/><br/>Only downside is the inside of the venue is quiet and you need to share a table with other people in some seats so conversation must be kept to a minimal but we say outside and it was excellent
PerthfectBreakfast
It was so hard to choose what to eat this morning because the menu all sounded so good. In the end we chose:<br/><br/>1. Crushed avocado with goats fetta, rocket, roasted capsicum on toast. Added a side of chorizo for $5.<br/>2. Prawns with garlic shoots, prosciutto, scrambled eggs and French baguette <br/>3. French toast with mascarpone, crispy bacon and chocolate chilli sauce<br/><br/>The meals were each under the $20 mark and serves weren't huge so 3 dishes between 2 was perfect. <br/><br/>The crushed avo dish was nicely seasoned but covered in an excessive amount of rocket and a little light on the avo. Nonetheless, the addition of the roasted capsicum was a nice touch and the chorizo served was good quality.<br/><br/>The prawn scrambled was a unique dish and had a little bit of chilli in it. Would definitely order this again!<br/><br/>The French toast was so friggin good! Custardy centre, crisp bacon and delish chocolate sauce. The chilli was subtle and didn't ruin the dish at all. So much yum!
Billylamb
A really impressive menu. Had lots of interesting items on there that are more than your standard eggs on toast. Had a hard time trying to decide what to order as I wanted everything. Had the salmon dish with asparagus dish. Was fresh and tasty. Coffee also was quite good.

ITS OUR WAY OR THE HIGHWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!Ordered Breakfast. Came out completely covered in Anchovy or Fish sauce (this was not disclosed on the menu). Politely told staff that I don't like my breakfast covered in Anchovy or fish sauce and asked if I could order another dish. They refused and said I had to eat it and pay for it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Most disgraceful treatment I have ever had from a restaurant!!!!Don't go here people. This is how this place conducts themselves. Its our way or the highway!!!!

Food and service was really great. I just found the food a tad overpriced. We ordered the pumpkin and labneh dish and were served one slice of toast we would have preferred 2. But overall, a good place to have brunch.
Perthgirl0310
We went here with friends for breakfast today. The setting is great - beautiful and a relaxed vibe. The food was sensational. I had the pumpkin, potato, labneh, egg & bacon dish which was delicious. My husband had the French toast with chilli chocolate and bacon. His was excellent, too. Coffees were also great. The only area that wasn't up to the same top standard as the food was the service - we waited almost 30 minutes to have our order taken. This might have been because they were busy, but was the only let down. <br/><br/>Overall, we will definitely return.
Tania
Customer service wasn't too great. The chef refused to change a soft boiled egg to a fried egg because "it would change the appearance of the dish". Surely customers actually enjoying their food is worth a whole lot more than what the plate looks like. Very disappointing.
Foodieperth
I really enjoyed the quality meals in this quaint cafe in the quiet side of the CBD. I ordered the baked apple with yogurt and macadamia crumble. It was fantastic! The yoghurt was very tart, but the sweetness of the baked apple and the figs balanced it out nicely. The macadamia crumble provided a nice crunch and different texture.<br/><br/>*** UPDATE- 5/5 for the French Toast!! OMG it was DIVINE 💓

Good food is no excuse for bad and surly service.......<br/><br/>Friday breakfast, while busy, was not overflowing and after three attempts to attract the attention of wait staff we finally got to place our order to someone who was too busy looking at the other end of the room to make eye contact.<br/><br/>Hmmmmmm........<br/><br/>The food, decor, location all contributed to the partial saving grace of the venue which, it has to be said, were all generally very good.<br/><br/>The Spanish baked eggs with chorizo on sourdough ($17) were good, but not amazing, though the reports of the House smoked salmon, corn fritter, pickled beetroot, poached egg and horseradish with creme fraiche ($19) were glowing.<br/><br/>The Chai Latte (though sampled by my better looking breakfast companion) was said to be very enjoyable as well.<br/><br/>Not sure I would go again, plenty of places still to try in Perth, don't need to suffer bad service to do so......
Sybarite
Service sh*te once again (offhand, impersonal, slow, unhelpful). However, I happened to have my best brunch dish ever today. The corn fritters with smoked salmon, pickled beetroot and horseradish creme fraiche was AMAZING. Not usually a dish I'd go for, I was not expecting that at all. Pastries quite expensive at $5 for their size. Don't plan to return for another 6 months or until new menu release. <br/><br/>Beautiful food. I haven't had French toast very often but out of what I have had, this has got to be the best. I found the egg dish to be a bit wet though, however flavours were good. For those with prams, there are a couple of steps up to the venue. It's also dog friendly, even the covered area outdoors. Service was mediocre but food good enough to warrant the visit.

I have always been meaning to try this tapas bar as their brunch menu looks excitingly different. They are located about halfway up the steep hill of Mounts Street in Perth, so be prepared to walk off some calories when walking up the hill to return to your car; going down was surprisingly easy! Love the interior of the space with the carpets in one space, dining in the kitchen area or the interesting patio area with the sky windows where you can see the canopies of the gum trees. I headed for the patio. It took a while for the waitress to serve me, but I wasn’t in a particular hurry. I went with the sumac spiced lamb with Lebanese pita bread, pickled red onion, honey cucumber and coriander yogurt, and since it was lunchtime, a glass of Shiraz. The food and drinks arrived quickly and loved the presentation of the dish on a wooden paddle. Piled generously with amazing looking herbs, spices and sauces I could not wait to dig in. First bite and I realised that this place was worth finding; so much flavour with lamb that was perfectly tender. Loved every bite! The Shiraz was excellent too. They have a Spanish chef, and so of course their evening menu is tapas. I will have to come back to try the dinner, and the remaining brekkie dishes as they all looked really good.

Do yourself a favour and order the smashed avo - so many places get this wrong but they just get it so right! Good coffee, nice environment, friendly wait staff and delectable food - there's nothing more I could ask for.
LittleGirlBigFood
Mount street breakfast bar is fabulous. I was really impressed. The menu is great and has several vego options available. The $18 i spent got me breakfast and a large almond milk coffee. Good value!

A hidden find as we were exploring the city! Love the open kitchen concept and interior decor of this cafe, really modern and classy. <br/>On the right, we have the house-smoked salmon, pickled beetroot, rocket, poached eggs, on corn fritters and drizzled with horseradish and cremé fraiche. This was absolutely delectable, everything came together beautifully and it was a delight to eat. <br/>On the left, sumac-spiced lamb on a lebanese pita, honey cucumber, pickled red onion, harissa and corriander yogurt. The dish was good, lamb was tender and didn't smell, but the pita was soaked by its juices and became soggy rather than fluffy. Might be better if they served it separately! But still very enjoyable (: <br/><br/>For the price we paid for these dishes, it was extremely worth it and we left feeling full and satisfied! Will definitely be back!@

we arrived on a relatively quiet monday morning, seated promptly after being greeted at the door. ordered the chick peas, spinach, haloumi & poached egg on rye, also got the congee to share. chick peas were delicious! usually don't order vegetarian dishes but that for some reason that dish really seemed appealing, flavours worked very well together and was quite filling too! (i did add a poached egg & mushrooms) congee was a tad spicy for our liking but overall was a lovely breakfast. service was good, would be back to have that dish again!! 😋👌<br/> <br/>-----<br/>updated review:<br/>over the past few months and several trips back we've found service to be relatively lacklustre, plus in our most recent visit i found something that should not have been in my food. unsure if we'll return.

This is my second two week stint in Perth staying at the Riverview and getting my morning coffee at the breakfast bar every day. It's consistently excellent, and I say that as a bit of a mild coffee snob, since I order long macs and even in Melbourne have trouble finding reliably good ones! <br/><br/>The atmosphere is great, the staff are lovely, and the food is amazing; but what I take away is wonderful wonderful coffee! Thanks again guys.

Thurs 0730<br/>Brocollini anchovies almond poached eggs prosciutto red pesto on rye --> great dish except I'd have preferred anchovies & prosciutto to be more of a feature as it was prosciutto was a little dry & more like garnish<br/>My companion being a simple fellow opted for scrambled eggs with chorizo as a side. He really wanted chipolatas (I did say he was simple) but alas they weren't on menu but chorizo was. A good thing too. He also had croissant w/jam. <br/>Everything looked & tasted good & service was neat. Good spot, not too busy & good varied menu. Coffee also on point & no eye rolling at asking for long Mach ¾ topped up 😁.<br/>I'll be back.

Back again! This time with fellow foodie Sybaritefor lunch. We shared Black Pudding & French Toast. Awesome dishes they were! There's plenty of black pudding, sultanas and pine nuts inside scrambled egg. Sooooo good. French Toast was one of the best I've ever tasted. It's cooked nicely and got just enough amount of maple syrup. I wished there's more strawberry & caramelised banana though. I don't usually eat bacon but tried a bit and it's nice and crispy. They change their menu every now and then. Will go back for sure! <br/>------------------<br/>A lot of good breakfast places closed until next week. Lucky Mount Street Breakfast Bar were open and I get to try this place this morning. FYI, they will also open tomorrow (yes, on New Year day!) from 8am 'til noon. <br/><br/>These are what we had: <br/>~ Omelette with Chorizo, Potato, Zucchini, Sweet Onion with Creamy Spinach Cheese.<br/>~ Spanish Baked Eggs with Chorizo on Sourdough.<br/>~ Mushroom Trio Scrambled Eggs with Garlic Shoots and French Stick.<br/>~ Sauteed Spinach, Saffron & Cumin Chickpeas, Poached Egg, Grilled Halloumi on Rye.<br/>~ Coffees: Cappuccino, Latte & Mocha. All with pretty latte arts: bear, snowman, 2016 and circled floral. <br/>~ Freshly Baked Escargot (take away).<br/><br/>COMMENTS: <br/>1. Even though what we had were good. I regretted not ordering one of their unique dishes. All of us ordered "safe" dishes today. This means we'll have to go back again. I am keen to try their porridge next time. <br/>2. We were wondering why they didn't give butter for toasts unless you asked for it?<br/>3. Their freshly baked escargot was really good, loved it. I'd go back for more of those for sure. <br/>4. Coffee was good but not bitter enough for some of us. Our mocha got nice balance between coffee and chocolate.<br/>5. Last but not least, I commend them for still giving us sufficient table service even though they were really busy.<br/><br/>HNY MSBB crews! We'll see you next year :)

Been to this place 3 times now and not been disappointed. It is a pleasant location in Winter with the large glass panels to enclose the eating area, or when open in better weather. The breakfast menu is diverse. I've had 3 different options and could easily try a few more. It's in a super location at the foot of Mount Street, suitable for breakfast after an overnight stay in the city or as part of a Kings Park visit.
Billy
Interesting breakfast menu, and yummy food, decent coffee. So-so service. Overall a pleasant place and better than average cafe by Perth standards.
Chorsley1
Had a lovely breakfast (mushroom eggs) and coffee here today but the service was terrible. Waited and waited before getting up to get our own menus. Got our own salt and pepper and always felt having to ask and ask. It wasn't busy at all so won't be going here on a weekend.

Felt short changed today. <br/><br/>The Riverview can be hit and miss, with food/service/atmosphere. That hasn't stopped us from coming back over the years. Today the weather was dreary but they had the glass shutters closing off the outdoor eating area. Today the staff was very attentive and friendly. The coffees were excellent. <br/><br/>Only down side, I was a little disappointed with my "Peanut Butter and Banana Mash Toastie." While nicely presented and very tasty, it was open-faced and Not a Toastie! I felt short changed. <br/><br/><br/>Atmosphere: +1<br/>Food: +.5<br/>Price: +5<br/>Presentation: +1<br/>Professionalism: +1<br/>Other:

Consistently slow service, super friendly and chatty when they eventually come around to you, but my god, slow. <br/><br/>Ordered the new Pumpkin donuts, on a layer of banana praline semi-freddo, but featured fairy floss and pumpkin purée. <br/><br/>I originally ordered the Spanish Eggs, but I don't eat meat anymore so I swapped with mum when I realised there wasn't beans in it but chorizo was in it. <br/><br/>So back to the donut dish, I just hate bananas, banana flavoured everything and anything so he praline was left ultimately untouched. And pumpkin purée at the bottom of the plate I would have liked some cinnamon in there. Fairy floss was cute. <br/><br/>Soy chai was good, mocha was great, pastries were awesome!

Worst Service Ever - No Meal. I went with a friend to Riverview for Sunday breakfast. It was quite busy but found a table and were told it may be a bit of a wait but ordered anyway as we weren't in a rush. We received our coffee then waited for 40 minutes with still no food arriving (was only bacon and eggs and some toast). Four other tables who arrived at least 15 minutes after we ordered received their meals so we asked at the counter where our order is. The Manager (we assume) casually said ill send someone to your table. The waitress came and asked how everything was (even though she could obviously see we hadn't received any of our order). We said we haven't received our meals and others who ordered their's much later than us have their's so what's going on. She said ill check then came back and said its not in the system and asked what the order was again. We told her and she asked if we would we still like it. We said we will still like it if it can be prioritized. Her response was " We cant put your order in front of the others as the chef wont do that" We were dumbfounded and asked again for it to be fast tracked stating how ridiculous that concept was. Same response !! We obviously decided to leave. We went to pay for the coffee thinking maybe our coffee will be on the house but after having to pay for it and receiving no explanation or apology for the mistake we left bemused at how completely screwed up Riverview's service and attitude was.

Really good. I had the baked apples with figs. delicious.<br/>my partner had the spanish eggs. also delicious

"BEST MARGARITAS IN PERTH" .... "BEST MARGARITAS IN PERTH"<br/>Had a fantastic Xmas lunch for all our staff at this Cafe on Friday, was a last minute organise. the Manager & staff made us feel so welcome despite walking in just as kitchen was closing. Food was great huge serves, staff cheerful & lemon/lime margaritas to die for!!! Definitely one to remember if your looking for somewhere that makes you feel like your having your own private party. We all enjoyed lunch here so much on Sunday, find my wife & I back for coffee & fresh baked pastries on the Monday morning. Excellent local cafe our new haunt this summer, will try the Mount St burger next time looked awesome.

Tastiest Breakfast in Town!. I was very impressed by the quality of ingredients and the decent portion size of the breakfast I had here. The poached eggs with salmon and fetta was an absolute winner! The location is perfect for a delicious cooked breakfast before work, as its only a short walk to the CBD. I've made stopping off here before work (for at least a cheeky muffin and coffee) a weekly habit! Staff were friendly and the service was good! Would definitely recommend!

Visited Mount St after a long absence what a treat this morning, the food was excellent, the coffee tasted divine & the staff were super efficient & charming. Sat at the bar & watched all the action, you can tell a lot about a venue by the way a Manager speaks to their staff, bravo Mount St about time you got it together!!
Quinn
Recently visited this restraunt for the first time for breakfast with the family. The coffee was perfect and my omlete was delicious. The staff were also very lovely and welcoming. We'll definitely be back again!
Crispy Edges
Not an Asian only place anymore. Much, much, much better now...
Mino Berry
Been going here the past 2 months religiously but in the last 5-10 days the chef here must of left as the food today wasn't made with that love. Scramble eggs, kale + krispy garlic was average, usually amazing but may be that was due to the kitchen loosing our order and only noticing after 30min wait and questioning the wait, place was quite, lucky management acknowledge the mishap and we had free meals. Hopefulty they can bounce back after this mornings service as this place is a hidden gem and perfect after a mornings workout - i'll be back!

Curry". The beef curry here is totally amazing!<br/>Freshly made curry paste and perfectly balanced, just beautiful.

Had a very enjoyable ladies lunch, we all agreed it would be hard to beat this one!<br/>A very tasty treat, well priced, with friendly service too.

Tasty modern twist on traditional Asian cuisine. All dishes were comprised from the freshest of ingredients, incredible flavours coupled with a genuine and calm atmosphere made for an exquisite dining experience. Compliments to the chef.

Fabulous visit for lunch today! The food was beautiful, fresh flavours- i have been searching for asian fusion like this since coming to Perth. The restaurant has a great modern, casual yet classy ambience. Service was friendly and efficient. I visited with my partner and we would definitely come back!
Shaunamf
We had an incredible meal here. Can't fault the food or the service. There was no vegetarian option on the menu but the chef managed to concoct a work of art with tofu and delicious veggies and salad. It's truly a memorable meal when you wake up in the morning dreaming of the food you ate the night before. Oh, and the cocktails and sangria were delicious too. Our stand out dish was soft shell crab but everything we ate was delicious. We'll definitely go back.
Firefly
Food is really quite good, coffee varies but unfortunately what really lets this little spot down is the consistently ridiculous waiting times. Fix this and it would be a little gem.
Girls At Lunch
Lovely lunch. What a lovely lunch. Beautiful setting.. Chilled white wine... Excellent service and the food was AMAZING. All for $50. Thoroughly recommend this new restaurant. Will be visiting again soon.
Christian
Didn't even get to try it. Walked in, asked if they served cooked breakfast, was told to sit down, asked for a menu, the lady threw it at us in a huff. She was clearly busy but so is Beaufort street merchant where we left to have breakfast instead and we are receiving much better and welcoming service. Rudeness is just not acceptable

Neighbourhood cafe. This little cafe is at the bottom of tree lined Mount street, near Jacobs ladder. Nice covered terrace area. I stopped past for a takeaway coffee, it was perfect and $4.00. I believe they do breakfast and lunch - I will have to return.

A big hit of flavour, a big hit in Perth. From the moment we stepped foot into the restaurant with the fragrant aromas wafting from the kitchen and took our seats on the terrace with the warm air and city glimpses I knew we were in for a treat. The food is sensational! Young spunky, super chef of the future, chef Bec Ng, who worked at Longrain in Melbourne, has brought some Asian class to Perth. Everything was delicious, sweet and spicy, fresh and tangy. We were lucky enough to get to taste her new pork dish. Slow cooked melt in the mouth served on sweet bread with picked veg, this will be a huge hit. The beef rending, one of the best I've ever eaten.<br/>Can't wait to go back.
Mini Gourmet
Modern Thai yummyness. Great food, good service and well priced. Go with 4 people and order one of everything, you wont be disappointed.
Perth Food Explorer
When the dish arrived I knew I had made the best decision of the day - my breakfast looked divine. There was some crunchy multigrain sourdough on the bottom topped with fresh, sweet tomatoes and a generous amount of avocado. Top that with a thin slice of salty haloumi, a perfectly poached egg and a luscious dollop of basil pesto.
The Sneaky Pigeon
You could come here for a nice breakfast, a great coffee, or a slice of house-made chocolate hazelnut cake, but really you should make time for the contemporary Asian fusion menu. It's fantastic. Hailing from Longrain (Melbourne, Yelp it), the chef ups the ante on Asian favourites like - Vietnamese pho with ox-tail wontons ($12), Pork belly braised in, wait for it - coffee - with radish and green apple ($28), and Chinese style duck crepes with orange and hoisin sauce ($12). Zing-zang!  MSC is located at street level of Riverview apartments.
