Great setting...nice warm tones to get you in a relaxed mood ready for an onslaught of taste bud madness. Waitress was great didn't even know she was there most of the time. Had some tapas to start...the Soft-Shell Crab didn't get a claw in, it disappeared in seconds yum. The trio cheese was a stinker...needs alot of work...or just get rid of it. Then came the mains... I had the pork belly and it was absolutely mouthwatering... after the first mouthful I totally forgot about the cheese dish...thank god!! My partner had the Grilled Marinated Chicken Breast. She didn't speak for ages...which confirmed she was in poultry paradise...luckily enough I was able to get a taste...divine. By this point we were flying in the culinary clouds ready to crash land for dessert. Destination...House Made Sticky Date Pudding. We decided to share it...bad move... the butterscotch raspberry coulis made this dish SING!! It was that good if it weren't my partner sitting next to me I would have definitely commenced a hostile takeover!! Bottom line... left there wanting more... definitely worth a drive to the city for.

The food was lovely from Tapas to Mains. I highly recommend the watermelon tapas and the Tikka skewers. The pork belly is divine as well. The service was fantastic and very attentive. My only criticism is the wine is fairly expensive for the choices they had. We will definitely be returning.

Had lunch there with a friend yesterday. The chicken sliders and beetroot salad were lovely. She raved about the drunken chicken which looked delicious. Service was good even though they were busy. I’ll definitely go back!

Went to the Painted Bird 15/12/2017 for my work team Christmas dinner & drinks.
Location - close to public transport ✅ ✅✅
Ambiance - nice, cosy feel without being small
Food choices - not a huge menu, but something for everyone ✅✅
Taste - my twice cooked pork belly was done really well, I LOVED it! ✅✅✅
Staff - friendly and efficient
Value for money - 💰✅✅

Came here a couple of times before and this time around we tried their dinner instead of lunch. We ordered the chorizo and soft shell crab to start with. The chorizo is really tasty and the Turkish bread compliments it well. Soft shell crab is a little bit soggy but still tasted fresh. The fish of the day was really nicely cooked and the winner dish for the night has to be the sirloin steak. The meat was very tender and cooked perfectly how we asked them to be, we will come back for their steak for sure!

Service was friendly and the venue has good ambiance. The food is tasty with classic mod aus dishes available. The bird tasting plate was something you could probably whip up yourself if you have a decent local deli. I'd probably give it another go given the first visit was more impressive than the last.

Valentine's day dinner! I loved the ambience and it was so romantic:) the staff were absolutely lovely but the service was a bit slow. 8$ for a small piece of bruschetta seemed a bit too steep. The quinoa and chickpea salad was great. I would encourage the management to add more veggie options on their menu!

The location is a bit hidden but it makes more privacy kind of sensation. The wait staffs are friendly and fun. Foods are good enough as I ordered a common pasta. This place is good for hang out and relax with friends and dont forget your cocktails 🍹

Had a vegetarian penne but added chicken to it. Very good flavours and cooked just the way it should be. I was hungry on that day and I could easy eat 2 servings as they a bit small. They not cheap so I only eat one but enjoy it all the same.
