La Cholita you've done it again. You guys never disappoint. Always consistent and never greedy. Your my favourite place in Perth and I always recommend to freinds/travelers when I can. Love the food, love the atmosphere and I always leave happy. #winning.
Delicious food and a margarita to die for! Friendly staff, fast service and cool decor made for a great visit.
Foods were good and service was friendly. Our fave was the fish taco and fajita steak😋 Place a little outdated, hope they renovate a little to stay trendy 😊

There is no place like La Cholita
I have been staying in Perth and eating out on a nightly basis for the better part of seven weeks, and this has definitely been one of my favourite meals/dining experiences.
Everything just tasted fresh and authentic. My favourites were the empanadas and fish taco. Dangerously smooth margaritas too. Staff were also very friendly and attentive.
Only a few nights left in Perth, and we are already planning a return visit.
This place is really well decorated, great placement of bottles and decorations behind the bar. Did not realize there was a shoe sticking out of the lower parts of the bar between the chairs to hang bags or coat. Really cool place to begin with. Foods were great! Great guacamole, tortilla was freshly cooked. Prawn taco was alright, pork belly, slow cooked pork were better, but the best was the cow tongue taco. Every taco is unique and has distinct, rich flavours, fun and adventurous! Did not get to try other tacos as we were full after the smoked chicken quesadilla which was fantastic too. They made dinner for 2 by the bar not awkward at all, service was excellent and prompt even though it was super busy. Have not been to that many mexican restaurants but La Cholita by far is the best we've been to. Will come back to try other foods!
We were surprised by the relatively small menu, but don’t let that put you off, it was amazing!!! The pulled pork taco was the best I’ve had and we had to order another round of them afterwards they were that good!!! Also don’t look passed the roast cauliflower which was the perfect accompanying dish! Great prices, friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere!!
Great food! Nice margarita too. Had some street corn, chorizo quesadillas and fish taco. Nice classic margarita to go with it all. Really busy place and nice atmosphere and ambience.
Came for dinner on a Saturday night & the restaurant was packed & buzzing with great atmosphere. Staff were really friendly & seated us near the bar whilst we waited for a table to become available. Food menu is quite extensive (and the drinks menu is huge). Started with the guacamole and the tomato pico de gallo (both are nice to nibble on whilst your waiting). Moved on to the Baja fish tacos (delicious), crumbed prawn tacos (my favourite), beef cheek tacos (very good), 3 cheese quesadillas (delicious), roasted cauliflower (ok), and the Mexican street corn (tasty). Food came out surprisingly fast given the restaurant was at full capacity. Wait staff really knew what they were doing and were very attentive, checking in with us regularly to see if we needed anything. The ambience & set up of the restaurant was great, this is by far the best Mexican restaurant I’ve been to in Perth.
One word, amazing. The tostadas were well put together and the tacos were delicious. However, the chips with the ceviche...hands down the best I have ever had. Wash everything down with great sangria and impeccable service, and you have the best Mexican joint in Perth.
Came here for a couple tacos on a Monday night before heading elsewhere so was not able to gauge a proper experience but we enjoyed what we ordered and the service we received was very friendly. The vibe of the place was super cool and I’d definitely be keen to go back. 3.5 stars
Amazing atmosphere! Best cocktails ever!! And the steak made me want to order another serve if I wasn’t so full from the salad and quac and chips.

Had a fantastic long lunch here with friends. Five star Margaritas and they nailed the basics like Pico and Guac, as well as the other dishes, most of which were well suited to sharing (our preferred method of dining). Lovely service, kept the drinks flowing 👍👍 being right in the middle of Northbridge with floor to ceiling windows this was also a top notch venue for people watching.
Oh and don't sleep on the desserts 👌
I've been here 4 times now over about 5 years and it's always consistently top quality food. Its really worth the visit.
Be sure to book as it's always busy on the weekend. Food and drinks come out quite fast in my experience. Its a pretty compact place and it can be very crowded, loud and hectic inside, a warning to those hard off hearing or anxious/claustrophobic, but it's a good vibe and professionally staffed.
Had a very late lunch after a day of post-boxing day shopping in the city , and absolutely loved the food and the service. The waiters were friendly, knowledgeable of the food and beverages they serve, they were engaging and attentive.
The food is fresh, delicious and the portions are perfect for one and reasonably priced enough to buy multiple items to share. Presentation of food was great, and although smaller portions than usual - the food is packed with flavour, you can taste every single seasoning used. Kudos to the chefs!
Will definitely visit again !
