Review Tony Roma's - Perth

JT
Haven’t been here for ages thinking it was always fully booked out. Craving for ribs I decided to take the family here again. Tried making a booking by phone but just went to answering machine. I decided to roll the dice and fortunately Fred who welcomed us as we entered did state that the kitchen was closing soon but he will definitely look after us. Luckily he did as the food definitely satisfied the cravings. The other staff members were friendly and also welcoming. Highly recommend!

Lovely meal. Great service. Nice decor. Good menu. Just a bit pricier than most other places. But that won't stop me from going back again..

Looooove Tony's! I cant count how many times I have been now but every single time we are welcomed by such lovely staff, served the most amazing food and drink the most amazing drinks. Every single time we come and every time we always bring new friends they have loved it and have returned by themselves for date nights or family night with there own. The steak and ribs are to die for! Also the pasta is amazing. Highly recommend 👌

Food came out in a timely fashion and was good. Staff not super friendly or knowlagable but that's ok. Good spot for large groups or families. Bit loud for intimate dinning but we did visit on a sat night at peak time. Prawns where terrible (sorry but frozen never wins my vote).

Came in for dinner with a group of friends today, and although the food was great, the rude service outweighed the value of the good food. Some of my friends were late to our reservation, but i feel that is no excuse for the snappy and inconsiderate behavior on the staff’s end, especially when we’ve been nothing but kind and calm. Despite our efforts to explain ourselves multiple times, the staff cared about nothing apart from rudely telling us that they “had to take the table 2 hours after our reservation”, even though there were empty tables around the area. Restaurants are not just about the food, they are social spots balanced with food and service. When either element is tainted, it significantly brings down the value of the entire experience. I won’t be coming here again for a while. The staff made us feel extremely unwelcome and burdened.

Ribs cooked to perfection. Been to many steakhouse around Perth which have disappointed but Tony Roma's did a great job. Restaurant was less than half full on a Sunday arvo but still waited over an hour for the food - likely due to cooking time but still worth it.

Great lunch menu deals! Very nice atmosphere. Very cosy toilets haha. I’ve been served by a lovely, very friendly and very professional mr. Peter. Such a charming lad! Great beer, good burgers. Thanks Tony and thanks Pete! I’ll be definitely back!

Tony Roma's never failed our tastebuds!!!. Best steak and Ribs. Family oriented restaurant and we had a beautiful dinner. Compliment to the Chefs and friendly staffs. Thank you

Must have changed hands. Have been there many many times over the years, but Sunday very disappointing. My partner loves his wings and ribs (ex Canadian resident) Ribs use to come with baked potato in foil, a corn cob and small coleslaw plus blue cheese dipping sauce or sauce of your choice. My partner got the ribs alright but a baked potato bare and a huge dollop of chips. That’s it. Why would you serve up a bKec potato AND chips.?! My lime seafood salad was the coleslaw out of a bag I’m sure, with a drizzle of something and a few fried noodles. Five prawns on a skewer which were dry and tasteless. There use to be a tasting plate you could order as entree which consisted of an onion cake, pots of blue cheese sauce a lovely guacamole dip and other bits and pieces with cracker bread to dip. Didn’t see that on the menu. It seems everything is now either separate and costs more or the menu has been changed - for some reason. The staff were good although nit rushed by any means as restaurant nearly empty. The maître d went over and beyond. Great service from him. Very disappointed. Probably will go back but not for a while just to see if it’s changed. Sad as use to be ‘the place ’ to go for real US ribs,

Yea, typical high quality food and service from Tony Roma's. We will be back definitely worth it, highly recommend it to anyone wanting amazing bbq ribs or a steak.

One of the best dining experiences. The food was amazing, the service was outstanding. I highly recommend everyone go and try it. Thank you Tony Roma’s we will be back.

In the end after a lot of pondering over the menu (as soooo many options) Had the St Louis ribs....awesome, couldn’t fault them, meat just fell off, sauce was great, pork rack was huge. Staff were friendly and helpful. Definitely be back there.

My mum, son and myself were staying in the city over the weekend in a hotel, Saturday night I went to Tony Roma’s in the city for dinner and had THE best ribs ever, so last night I told mum I had to take her there. We were seated and I noticed my son started to look really unwell, he went white as a ghost and limp, I took him outside for some fresh air and he started throwing up and was losing consciousness, He had similar symptoms to like he was going into anaphylactic shock. One of the staff members immediately called an ambulance. Fred the manager stood with us and waited until the ambulance came, he was so kind and was trying to reassure us all everything would be ok. This afternoon I got a call from Fred asking how Hudson was and said that he was thinking about him all last night . It doesn’t take much to be kind, the Manager and staff at Tony Roma’s went above and beyond. Next time you go there (if you haven’t been I highly recommend you do) if you see Fred, tell him he rocks!!!! #tonyromasribsarethebest #tellfredherocks

Thank you for your kindness towards my godson, best friend and Mumma last night. What an amazing team you have! My best friend also reports your ribs are THE best she’s ever had and that’s a pretty bold statement coming from her. I Can’t wait to try them when next in Perth.

We had th beef ribs which the waitress recommended awesome choice juicy and tender 👌👌the cocktail the wife ordered kinda ok spoke to the manager and he was very happy for the comment definitely will go back great staff and meal 👌👌👌

We told the staff not to put any pork or alcohol in our table. The waitstuffs brought the wrong drink and gave us. My sister sipped it and realized it was alcohol. When we informed her, she gave the same drink to a different table without changing the glass. When we asked her why did u give the same glass she got mad at us and attacked us saying. It was our fault without knowing we shouldn't have drank it. Their behvaiour was very rude. She was not even sorry about what happened. Later on another girl came to our table with wrong order. They don't know table number or where they are going. They need training with customer service skills and they need to know table numbers.

Parking location is not good, but the food is.staff is friendly..

The new york strip was great. Although, I felt that it was overloaded with just one type of vegetable and could have had more variety and seasoning. The garlic butter combined with the mashed potato was delicious. I requested the steak to be cooked medium rare but came out medium - still good though. The taste of the overall meal was undeniably good - even for its high price mark. The staff made a strawberry daquiri for me upon request despite it not being on the cocktails menu. The serving size of chips was large and shared between two peoples hungry appetites, and only cost $7! The speed for cooking the steak was reasonable. Staff were nice, even though i forgot my ID (and look 12) they still gave me <br/>benefit of the doubt when i showed them a photo of my ID. Overall, a good place to go on a date... a family mean would be end up costing a fortune!
Nate Love
10/10 on the steak it was the best I have ever had and was cooked to perfection. The pepper sauce was amazing. The potato was like nothing I have had before and I mean this in a good way. The cocktails I ordered were amazing and to top all this off the service was 10/10. I would definitely recommend this place!!!

Not what it used to be, it’s worth noting the menu posted here is well out of date.<br/><br/>Tony Roma’s for years was the benchmark in Perth for great ribs. Those days appear to be over after they’ve changed the menu in recent times.<br/><br/>The ribs sampler with 2 side serves was the best you can get for a long time. A sample of 4 different sauces served on a quarter rack gave you a sample of what Romas was all about. Add to it 2 decent serving size of sides and it was great value for the money you were spending.<br/><br/>Ever since the menu change something just doesn’t feel the same. Gone are the days of the sampler and in addition to this the quality and size of the sides has diminished as also. Where as before you could get a massive serving of chips with your meal the quantity these days is noticeably smaller.<br/><br/>Tony Romas used to be our go to for a good meal, but with the rise of other places doing ribs and the decline in quality of Romas we won’t be going here as often anymore which is a shame.

We came here with high hopes for was our friends 40th bday, as we had read some very good reviews. After talking our order the waitress came back with 1 tier of food. There was no description of what we were served so it was a guessing
The Food Dude
The mozzarella sticks are absolutely delicious, coming from someone who wouldn't usually order that kind of thing, huge recommendation. The ribs were good, perhaps slightly undersauced. Chips great as well, good portions and friendly service.
Thefoodchaser
Ideal place to get your American ribs fix with yummy fries here! Great portions and fantastic value. It is also a great dining venue with big groups.

I love ribs and whenever I feel the craving come over me I always go back to Tony Roma's. The service is always good and the food is exceptional. Yes it is a chain and I know that what I get in Perth is the same in Bali or Singapore or the US. It is just high standard no matter where you are - they do it well. <br/><br/>Also recommend the cocktail menu.
Danny
Ribs aren’t too bad and their beef burger was nice too. Ribs are falling off the bone tender and definitely a must try. Got a bit thirsty afterwards....MSG? Doesn’t bother me anyway
Jamie Newman
Food was ok, but menu a bit lacklustre. If you want ribs it will tick your boxes, but the other options were limited.<br/><br/>Staff friendly, and were fairly attentive given how busy the place was.
Perthgirl0310
Tony Roma's is a 'go to' restaurant of mine. I always get the original baby back ribs and these are sooo tasty!! It is consistently good and is great to go to for a quick meal or with a larger group of friends.
Graham
Excellent wait person. Ribs were delicious.<br/>They had run out of baked potatoes at 7pm which was disappointing as their loaded potato is really good. The fries are pretty average.<br/>
Kadriye
Our steak and rib were cooked to our requested liking, me and my partner were really satisfied with the taste and the huge portion sizes, the staff are very friendly and recommended things we should try, will be returning.

Don’t waste your money. It’s just another over priced chain restaurant. Everything taste like it’s made in bulk, packaged, frozen and shipped out to the restaurant for them to get out and deep fry. The staff were rude and the atmospheres horrible it’s so loud in there you can’t talk to people even sitting next to you let alone the waiter.
Alan Lee
WOW <br/><br/>One of the top 3 steaks I’ve even had. <br/><br/>Staff were great all the way through. <br/>The waiter recommend something different to what I picked. I am so glad he did. <br/>Cocktails were tasty and exactly what you want when you imaged it. <br/><br/>Starters and the mains were Fantastic!<br/><br/>When speaking to the manager, he was busy and wasn’t having a great day. Our positive feedback was able to change his day. The same way the food did to us on our last night in Perth. <br/><br/>Many thanks to all the chef staff for fantastic food. <br/>Keep up the passion. <br/><br/>The next time I’m in Perth, I will be here again for sure. <br/><br/>Thank you.

Third time I have been here.  First time was awesome, steak was cooked to my liking.  Second time had steak again, ended up getting someone else's steak, almost rare, but ate anyhow.  Third time I thought would have the salmon.  I think if you are going to go to a steak and ribs house, you best stick to that.  Salmon was a small portion, overcooked but yet flaky.  The so called "vegetables" I had was maybe two squashes, three thin slices of zucchini and piece of carrot.  The rice was yellow rice with bits of parsley in it.  Good service, but I think sticking to steak or ribs might be the go.

My craving for succulent barbecue ribs lead me on a frantic hunt through Zomato ultimately leading me to Tony Roma's - an American dining chain which specialises in baby back ribs. We made a reservation and were shown our table upon arrival by exemplary staff. I had already made up my mind that I would be be ordering the original baby back ribs, so we skipped the formalities and ordered right away. The ribs came out after a wait and my senses were overloaded. The way the ribs were presented and the smell wafting into my nose left my mouth salivating out of control. The meat came off the bone quite easily, but upon first bite left me desiring more. The meat whilst generously lavished in seasoning, was quite dry in the centre. Whilst not having reached rib heaven, I was satisfied with the meal and continue my search for the perfect ribs.
Renegade
Tony Roma’s would have to be on par with TGI FRIDAYS but with an inflated price tag. I tried the ribs here and was questioning if I ordered them from the desert menu. The sweet sauce that the ribs were smothered in was so overpowering and sickly sweet. The chips as a side were literally the same ones I get at coles and coleslaw also had a sweet flavour to it. Very disappointing. Two thumbs down.

First time at Tony Roma’s and we really enjoyed our dinner. We had wagyu beef and it was cooked perfectly, baby rib was fall off the bone tender but not much meat, should’ve ordered full rack instead of Roma rack since we were sharing, but my little daughter said the sauce was too salty for her. Service was good although the waiter forgot to bring us back our water after taking the empty bottle away.

We booked a table before going to a concert. We were welcomed by friendly staff who had our table ready for us. Our meals came out within reasonable time and were extremely tasty. Well priced. Fantastic experience and I'll be back again!

Love these guys. Whether they're busy or quiet, the service has been attentive and food comes out in a timely manner. The ribs slide right off the bone, are moist, and full of flavour. They set the bar as far as good American-style ribs are concerned. The few times I've tried non-rib items such as burgers, steak or pasta, the quality has still been excellent and tasty.
Mandy Smith
Food was really nice, though I found the sauce on the ribs a little overpowering. Service was awesome.<br/>But the place is sooo noisy. Not recommended if you are trying to have a intimate dinner for two.
Perth Food Lovers
Best ribs I’ve had in Perth to date, left feeling full and satisfied. Great portion size. Always busy, service was great can’t fault a lot!
Eunice
I have been here for a few times and it has always been a pleasant experience dining in! This place used to be really busy and I remember waiting for at least half an hour on a weekday night. Came in on a Friday night and we get seats straight away. Still busy, the service was prompt and staff were really attentive and friendly. I keep coming back for their ribs and I can vouch that they still do the best ones in Perth! The carolina honey sauce was a little bit on a sour side for me but still yummy. Love their potato skin too!

Come back to this place after so long. This has been my go to place for riba, but my last visit is a bit of disappointment<br/><br/>Baby back Ribs abit dry.<br/>Onion ring is not as crunchy and oily.<br/>This two are my favs. <br/>Maybe it was just a bad day in the kitchen.<br/>Will come back to prove it! <br/>

The baby back ribs are really really delicious. The staff are very friendly. Lovely experience overall. For me, the perfect food and a great place to eat it
Mathew Hnoudis
I had the St. Louis sampler. Unfortunately they had run out of the St. Louis ribs (@ 5pm) as well as a few of the sides I was interested in. The ribs were nice, fell off the bone and the sauces were tasty. The “hot ones” weren’t spicy at all which was a bit of a disappointment.
Andrew Hatfield
Great food, helpful and happy staff.<br/><br/>The steakhouse burger is fantastic - highly recommended as a place to have a quick or prolonged bite to eat when in Perth
Vee Kee
The food is good and I enjoyed the baby back ribs. The portion is just nice and not too massive. Good selection of wine and drinks. Good atmosphere on a Friday evening and not too noisy. Staff are friendly.
Michelle Mengxiao Luo
We ordered St Lousie full rack ribs. It was sooo nice. We.ordered a beef flatbread. It was good as well the base was crispy. But the new york strip steak was dry and chewy and the salmon was a bit over-cooked as well. Also, we saw other tables come with complementery bread and garlic butter, however, I don't know why we don't have it.
Finleyhimawan
I haven’t been here for a while and decided craving for ribs. We went here for lunch over the weekend and we still like the food. The ribs are perfectly cooked and falling off the bones which is really yummy! The sampler for appetiser is just what we needed since we want a little bit of everything. I have to say the sampler can probably cater for 3 people since we didn’t ended up finishing some of them. Overall a good experience and craving satisfied!
Ashleigh Jayne
Pretty decent restaurant. Their menu can't be adapted very much for dietary needs, but they are happy to accomodate. In terms of waiting staff taking our order, they were very vigilant. Food came out quite quickly. Sadly the drinks order needed to be requested a second time. For a steakhouse they should know how to cook a rare steak, unfortunately it was overcooked. Overall it was a good evening, but I won't be rushing to dine here again.
Trishna Arya Rai
Decent food good service pretty standard. Good place to visit once in a while. Good ribs and steaks. Ambience is good as well. Average restaurant
Jen
Came here whilst on holiday in Perth. We had a rib eye steak and the chicken bacon burger. The food was delicious and they gave us free homemade bread with garlic butter which was amazing. Service was also very good our waiter was lovely and helpful. Overall a great dining experience and we would recommend.
Ianchin74
Great menu, fair prices. Love the ribs and service was tops. Definitely come back again for dinner with friends. Keep up the good work guys.
Eric Mu
We went there for Friday dinner, when we arrived it wasn't busy as all. However we wait for 15 minutes for tap water and 40 minutes for the entree. The food was average, just tooo slow.
Luka Neo
Such a lovely place to get ribs! My go to!! Very tasty and in the occasion I went the meat just fell off the bone- very tender. Good to go with a group of friends/family. Also, service was adequate and the setting was very clean, modern and fresh
Casey
I visited her on the weekend as I was craving bbq pork ribs so I ordered the St. Louis ribs! My favourite with chips and coleslaw. My partner had the steak cooked perfect!
The Dear Luncher
A take away burger of extremely good quality was recently sampled from this Perth institution. The Dear Luncher had no time to eat in, but in all honesty next time in Perth it will be done. Extremely solid operation.
ZZQ
Good service and the food while not brilliant, was generally decent and would warrant a return for some.<br/><br/>Entrees were nice but I felt were slightly overpriced. The Chicken Wings are tasty and tender, but may be too spicy for some. The Kickin' Prawns while nice tasted slightly artificial due to the flavourings.<br/><br/>The main of 300g New York Strip Steak was good value that included two sides of your choice. The beer battered fries were excellent. No complaints about the roast vegetables either although it lacked some variety. The steak would palatable but certainly not exceptional. It lacked seasoning and cooked medium rare with rare being requested. <br/><br/>In summary it was an enjoyable meal that was of a "high-end pub quality" rather than a "steakhouse" quality.
Lady Marmalade
Pleasant welcome, nice ambiance and not too noisy even though it was almost full. My boys had the St Lois Ribs which they loved, to me is tasted like master foods BBQ marinade. But the meat was tender. Hubby enjoyed a mixed plate of ribs. Serves were generous. The sweet potato side was so yum. I had the New York strip, ordered medium rare, was overdone and chewy, did have a nice crust on it though. Blue cheese sauce was gloopy. Was nice to have the night off cooking. My meal was GF and I was glad to not go home sick. Would be nice to see more items made in house but all their marinades and sauces taste like they come out of a bottle. I wanted to be wowed and I wasn't. Would have loved to tried the salmon but it's not gf.
Wulan Sucipto
Steak is good. I love their chips. Staffs are nice, friendly and helpful. The restaurant is quite big and cozy suitable for catching up with friends and families

My manager haven't tried Tony Romas and decided to swing by today for lunch. Like the other reviews, it was average. I had the pork riblets and my manager had the beef ribs. It was not bad but it was also nothing spectacular.
The Chefs Wife
When staying in the City, Chef, Little Chef and I enjoyed a family dinner at Tony Romas, a short stroll up Hay Street from our hotel. It’s a family friendly, international chain restaurant that specialises in ribs. I’m obsessed with ribs and I’d been craving Tony Roma’s ribs for a quite some time. It had been a few years since our last visit there – would it still be as good as I remembered?
LilMuncher
Been here a few times and enjoyed the food very much. We usually order the baby back ribs and the meat is always tender and soft. It is a little pricey but the food and portions are decent.
Wen Ling
I think this place is overrated, not as what I expected. There were a lot of people on that day but we were lucky to get a table without having to queue. Waitstaffs were friendly but a bit inattentive, we were given a plate of complimentary bread and it was served warm. As I heard the ribs were the "must try" so we ordered and the taste were so disappointing, but we tried the steak, it turned out to taste better than the ribs. I would maybe just come back for the steak but not the ribs.
Sean Fitzy
Me and my friend are loyal Tony romarians... However upon coming here tonight were a bit disappointed.. The famous baby back ribs are now changed and are small in size, the chips are now also French fries and not steak chips. Tony Romas please bring back your old steak fries and quality ribs
Jessica Wirawan
Expected too much from this restaurant.<br/><br/>The food overall were just so so<br/><br/>Ordered the famous ribs, personally for me it was just a grilled ribs with too sour and sweet sauce. Not like a bbq sauce. Dont really like the ribs.<br/><br/>Ordered a burger aswell. Was just so so.<br/><br/>The entree was nice. The kickin prawn.<br/><br/>Not really satisfied with the food for that overpricing
Jennifer Allan
I love ribs and these ribs well they almost make me want to move to Perth. So succulent and juicy with delicious, I would lick my fingers but you know, barbeque sauce. The meat just falls off the bone.I love when a restaurant surprises me and gives me things I have never seen before. One time I still remember from years ago was a delicate cinnamon flavored pastry. At Tony Roma's it was the baked sweet potato with honey butter. So simple, so easy yet so incredibly good, that with the ribs and the broccoli that, thank the Lord, was not the least bit soggy, perfection.Really though my favorite part was the cobbler. Do yourself a flavor and get it. Worth. Every. Single. Calorie! Hot, sweet, flavorsome with the perfect amount of ice-cream.It better be there next year when I am in Perth because, as Arnie says, I'll be back.
Lucas Walker
Tonight my wife and I went to Tony Roma's for dinner (Tuesday 21st Feb 2017). The staff were great, service was top notch and the atmosphere - outstanding. Another bonus was that the food came out extremely quickly. Unfortunately the food was horrendous. I ordered the the St Louis ribs (roma rack) and they were as dry as toast. Worst ribs I have EVER had, for real. My wife ordered the lamb ribs and they were unusually fatty to the point where a third of the rack was unedible. What was even harder to swallow than the meal itself was the price. Roughly $40 per meal. I've eaten better shits for free.

You can't go wrong here really. If you like your ribs (and why would you read this if you didnt) then you'll really enjoy Tonys.<br/><br/>The meat is fresh, the place is clean and new. Get down and chow some ribs!
Get In Ma Belly
Yummy is all I can say 😊. Kid friendly too. My son was given a booster seat to sit on, which is awesome as not a lot of places offer this. Was here for a friends birthday dinner 😊
Mimmi
Generic ribs and steak American food chain. Middle of the road when it comes to quality. Service is so so. Serving sizes are large. Great for big groups of people. But does have a cafeteria style feel for the atmosphere- not really what I look for for a date worthy restaurant.
TheKnifeForkSpoonAndStraw
Mmmm Ribs!! Happy to have visited this modern yet comfortable restaurant a few times and have always left very happy and very full! Certainly a bit more expensive than many places in Perth CBD but well worth it. You would be insane not to try one of the rib sampler meals, be sure to visit with an empty belly because you will need the space! The complimentary bread and butter is a nice touch too, but I would recommend asking the waitstaff to replace the 'red hot' ribs with another type if you are partial to hot spicy foods. (I love a bit of heat but these are a bit too hot for me) The staff are all very pleasant and helpful, will be back again and again!
Bella
I haven't been there recently, but I always loved this restaurant, the pork ribs are amazing and the portions are massive. The staff is also fantastic, especially Brendan. Can't wait to come back.
Dpizzy
Love the beef ribs and the cocktails here. Never been disappointed with the quality. Also it's great because there's no bookings so you just rock up and wait your turn. Longest I've had to wait is 20 minutes
Chelsea
Came on a Saturday night, a group of 4, got a table straight away at 6:30pm. Service was excellent. I ordered the mojo chicken. The salsa was delicious, but the chicken was a bit tough and dry unfortunately. My husband had the St. Louis Roma rack, the ribs were amazing. Up there with some of the best we've had.
Denise Koh
Steaks cooked to perfection! Ordered a few sides: 'Kickin' Prawns', 'Beer Battered Fries', and 'Steak and Wild Mushroom Flatbread'. I ordered the 'Rib Eye Steak' (medium rare) and with peppercorn sauce and it was delicious! They melt cheese over their mashed potatoes and that just puts their mash up a notch! My friend ordered the 'Fillet Medallions' and needless to say he was beyond satisfied! The 'Kickin' Prawns' were delicious but the 'Steak and Wild Mushroom flatbread' was cold when it arrived (So the melted cheese was hard and not stretchy) but besides that it was a very enjoyable meal! If I had to be really picky, I would ask that they offer us a larger range of sauces for the chips because it only comes with tomato sauce. But this is a steak house and their steaks satisfied our cravings to a whole new level!
The Iron Fist
A Great Restaurant. Their Ribs are really excellent and there fries are pretty damn tasty as well. However their full rack of ribs is definitely not as large as one would think,Just keep that in mind. They have a very comprehensive menu, however the only thing they are missing are the calamari ring starters which can be found at most Tony Romas Outlets.I'd Recommend the Choc Skillet Sundae, It's Definitely  a Hit.
Williespants
Have always enjoyed the ribs here, always tender, flavoursome and slips off the bone. Good portions and always filling. Love the onion load and the kickin prawns. However, this time the portion difference between a half rack and roma rack were a bit questionable. I recommend the blue ridge smokey bbq sauce for the ribs. And complimentary bread with garlic butter - nice. Will always come back for my rib fix.
Anna-Maria Agnello
Delicious food, great service, busy vibe ... Love it! Brought a cousin (now a new convert) this evening for dinner- we both loved the baby back ribs, delicious sides - we tried the mozzarella sticks tonight- yummy, but sauce was more like a nacho dip sauce, these sticks of yumminess would go so well with a thick, Italian Napoletana sauce. So full - we couldn't fit dessert in. Definitely coming back!
Smithyy
Been here a few times and the ribs are consistently good! The beans are a delicious side. The Red Hots sauce tastes a bit weird.. the other sauces are 100 times better. Drinks come out super quick and the free bread w/ garlic butter is a bonus.
Alex Strickland
We've been to Tony Roma's three times now (twice at the Perth franchise) and have always had a decent meal. <br/><br/>This most recent visit was on a Sunday, which was much nicer than previous visits as a) we could book a table so we weren't swindled with the drinks while waiting to be seated, and b) it was slightly quieter so we could have a decent conversation. The restaurant closes at 9 on a Sunday night so it's great for an early-ish dinner.<br/><br/>I tried the onion loaf, which was delicious. The batter was nice and light; not at all dense. We also had the potato skins, which were okay, but we'd had better at the Hard Rock Café. The chicken sandwich that I had for my main was tasty, as was the crème brûlée (though it was a little citrusy).<br/><br/>The food is a little on the expensive side for what it is - it's tasty, but not game-changing. Service was friendly and mostly prompt but there was quite a time lapse between when everyone's mains were brought out. Overall, not too bad.
Princess Zelda
One thing that I find really good with Tonys is the consistency with the food over the years.I use to love getting decent ribs here and that was probably pre-BBQ boom. Was a little dissapointed with my ribs tonight but still enjoyed the meal, it is however no longer the best + best value for money out there. My favorite is the redhots and half a rack is probably enough for chicks.Staff are really attentive and friendly 👍.
Ines
Got some mean appetizers and ribs there ! Would definitely recommend the kickin prawns, or the chicken wings but not so much the potato skins. The baby rack were good a bit too saucy but to each their own really ! Didn't like the corn cob but their coleslaw was really tasty !
Larissa
I've dined at many 5 star establishments which specialises in steak.. This would have to be one of the best ribs and steak meals I have had! Great service. I will be visiting each time I venture to Perth :)
Samantha Davis
It's alright. Nothing there really makes me dying to go back or anything. The customer service was pretty good the food was pretty good the price for the standard is perhaps a little over priced to be honest.
LittleAsianGirl
I Love their baby back ribs. Simply Delicious. Very spaced out and family orientated and accommodating. The rest of the food on the menu is not bad. I had a good experience with the service here.
Foodie342
Been here multiple times with family, the food was really good and so was the atmosphere. Really busy all the time so try to make a booking especially at dinner. I always order the ribs here, so nice and falling off the bone. However, I tried the onion flower, it was a bit greasy to the point oil was going everywhere on the plate. The staff is nice once you get their attention and the food comes out a bit slow which is understandable considering how busy it is.
Fred
Went out with the wife and little one for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Waiter was fantastic with our daughter very attentive providing her with a colouring pack to distract her while we waited for our food. But as for the restaurant i thought was over rated, food was nothing special and for what it was expensive!! We've eaten better for less. Glad to of tried but wont be rushing back
Han
Came here for a meal Friday night - did not have a reservation. Staff were prompt and professional. Quickly seen to and sat straight away despite how busy it was.<br/>To start we had the potato skins ($14.95) which were delicious however they were a little pricey for 6 little skins. The complementary garlic bread was flavoursome and unexpected which was nice.<br/>Ordered the strip lion steak 300g ($39.95) with a side of mushroom sauce ($3 extra), and mashed potato, as well as the St Loius full rack of ribs with original bbq sauce ($41.5) with a side of coleslaw and beer batter chips (sides were interchangeable if you wanted). Both meals were delicious, plenty of meat on the ribs, and the coleslaw it was served with was refreshing. <br/>Asked for the steak to be cooked med-rare and came out rare - couldve benefited being on the grill for another couple minutes. The mushroom sauce was nothing short of a letdown. We were served a small pot - no bigger than two tablespoons worth of what looked like mushroom in a watery gravy and the mushroom was not cooked. Hardly mushroom-y, tasted more like thyme that had been cooking for hours.<br/><br/>Nonetheless the evening was pleasant evening despite how busy it was. Service could not be faulted. Prices seemed a little steep but i guess thats the price you pay around Perth these days. <br/><br/>Would consider going back.

The rib eye steak is a bit dry although it's cooked well as requested- medium rare. Baby back ribs are tasty with generous sauce and meat is easily pulled off the bones, but I think the sauce is a little bit too sweet as I do wish there's still some original porky taste there. Love the buttery taste of fruit cobbler with ice cream on top but the burnt at the side which makes it a bit hard.

Tony Romas has been our go to place for ribs for a couple of years now. Took a friend last night for dinner and as we walked up to the entrance one of the staff (chef?) was out the front in uniform smoking a cigarette, not a good look in general but as we walked past he spat on the footpath also. I nearly turned around and walked away but stuck with the plan. Informed who I presume was the manager and he went outside to have a look. Never followed up with us so I don't know what the outcome was. We were seated promptly and given menus and water. Ordered St. Louis Ribs full rack and a chicken salad. Food didn't take long, the serve of ribs was very small for the price of $40 or so and nice but not a lot of meat. Chicken salad was good. The waitress plonked the complimentary bread on the table just as we were finishing our meals, bit late but oh well we ate it anyway. Ordered desserts of skillet cookie sundae for myself and 2 scoops of ice cream for my friend. It was delivered in under 5 minutes! Skillet cookie was not as good as previous visits, it seemed much flatter so less substantial. Went to pay the bill and there was a 10% public holiday surcharge which was not mentioned at any time prior to paying.....NOT HAPPY ABOUT THAT!! Total bill was $90 not worth it.<br/>Have to say we won't be returning. We will go to side door in future<br/>Wait staff were friendly and efficient apart from the lateness of the bread

The beef ribs are the only thing I like here. I feel as if the pork ribs are too small. For steak and ribs of this quality I would be happy to pay about 75% of the prices you've listed, but at least when ordering take away you still keep the sizes the same.

Booked a table for 6 people and spent approx $1000 on food and drinks.<br/>Firstly the service was well below average and the food was poorly presented and looked more like food hall quality..<br/>The food was terrible we had bbq ribs , beef ribs , fillet steak and tasting plates and the food was disgusting with all of us only barely touching our meals, the staff were not concerned at all and were very rude with one staff member approaching the table and rudely telling us all that we were not going to be served any more drinks when 3 of us were drinking and the 3 women were not as they were driving and my sister was pregnant . Absolutely disgraceful staff and restaurant and food was well below standard would not recommend this place to anybody.<br/>Also 3 of us were ill afterwards with 2 of us having diarrhoea and 1 lady vomiting later on after the beef ribs.

Went on a sat night. Had to wait for a table but the bar has some good cocktails to keep you busy. For starters the onion loaf is a must. The wings are nice and spicy <br/>For mains I had the sampler platter that had St. Louis ribs and beef ribs which is the best of both worlds. Ribs were tender and the beef ribs was surprisingly better than expected. We were too full to have desert. All in all v good food and a reliable place to go to

Delicious ribs ! Wouldn't go here for the steaks though... Customer service is okay.

Tony Roma's is JR's (hubby) favourite restaurant so we popped in with a friend before a concert on Thursday night.  JR had the baby back ribs which he demolished and the girls ordered one of the salads each.  I had the Fire Kissed Peach and Southern Chicken Salad and our friend had the Maple Glazed Chicken and Roasted Pear Salad. It wasn't a sharing kind of night so I didn't taste everything but my salad was awesome.  I wouldn't usually order a salad from a rib restaurant but Tony Roma's in my opinion out do themselves on this front. I also had the Skillet Cookie and it was delish :)

Typical American food. ....Big is the best! Can't say that good, but ok unless you really like American food - big, and oily. ..... Once and a while to eat is no problem. Now a days every one talks about healthy food.

Pretty good ribs, Average sides and above average price. I don't think there's anything amazing about this place but if you're in the area id give it a go.

Checked in at Tony Romas for some dinner after exploring Perth CBD. The place was humming and I had a 5 minute wait for a table. I had a rack of the St Louis Ribs with the hot sauce on the side. A nice touch was some warm fresh bread with herbed butter as a complementary starter. It hit the spot. The ribs were very tasty and a reasonable serve and came with a small salad and a small serve of thick cut fries. I enjoyed the meal but did think it was expensive for the serving size. All in all though a good meal and I would go back.

The best spare ribs ever. Worth a visit for sure. Staff are attentive and food cooked to perfection. A must stop when in Perth. Other items on the menu also great
Dark Angel
Good service and very good ribs. I liked that the sides were small. Will be back to try more of the menu. I thought the prices were reasonable also.

What used to be a fabulous restaurant is now overpriced, lower quality and smaller quantity. <br/>The food was still ok, the ribs were a bit grisly and tough, the steak was lovely, however the meal was completely ruined by the noise factor, having to significantly raise your voice just to try and have a dinner conversation is not pleasant. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone unless you want to leave dinner very promptly with a banging headache.
Some Like It Hot
Had the half rack of baby back ribs and they were delicious. I wish I had had the full rack though.  Came with a side of chips that were ok. I was happy with my food and would come again.

DON'T EVER GET THE BEEF RIBS IT IS JUST FAT!!! <br/><br/>I've been in there few times and always ordered the Baby Rack, they are amazing. Yesterday we visited the restaurant I have to say I am very disappointed, I ordered the Beef Ribs (thinking that they would be as good as the Baby Rack), I payed $39 to receive Ribs FULL of Fat, I couldn't eat 40% of it!!!, too pricey for what you get.
Perth Foodaholic
Use to go here quite often. Tasty ribs; tender, fall off the bone and great sauce. However it’s abit pricey and the sizes aren’t that big (I swear the portion sizes have gotten smaller). Original pork baby back ribs are my favourite. Don’t get the beef ribs – it’s really tough.
SKA
Noisy environment. Had nice steak and ribs tho. Make sure you order the loaded mashed potatoes as the side dish! 😋 it's superb awesome. Be prepared to queue for dining on weekends. We waited 45mins, but it was worth it.
Kent H Lee
Enjoyed the ribs. Been here a few times, never blows me away, but has never really disappointed either. Food is very heavy and mash with cheese will get you gassy especially if you're a little lactose intolerant. Good place to go for a chilled lunch with the boys.

DEFINITELY I WOULD COME BACK AGAIN and again and again to arguably one of the best ribs place in town (or even in the country – some would argue!) The original BABY BACK RIBS are the best best best! Seriously, no kidding there, the meat is ridiculously soft and juicy and it taste super good. The service is also good, they have specific waiter catering to specific table. They always come to attend and check on you now and then. On top of that they also good range of choice including the must-try Onion Loaf whether you are big fan of onion or not. For a big group, I recommend the Roma’s Sampler (which also comes with Onion Loaf). <br/>People tend to say that Tony Roma’s is expensive. So I’m going to do a bit of number crunching and comparison. One I ordered was the original Baby Back Ribs – Roma Rack (which is in between Half and Full rack) which cost me $38.50 compared this with my other ribs place I went to recently in Perth CBD which is Ribs & Burgers Baby Back Pork Ribs ($30.5). Tony Roma’s comes with 2 sides which you can freely choose among 10 different choices (my personal favorite will be the baked sweet potato with honey butter and coleslaw), while Ribs & burgers comes with standard chips and salad. Tony Roma's also has more choice in their menu (which is a big plus if your wife can only eat chicken!), and personally i feel a better service. <br/><br/>The question is: Will you then pay $8 extra for better & softer meat, tastier baked sweet potato with honey butter, better service and more choices in menu for your friends to choose among? I would.<br/><br/>
Paul Despoges
The Original Baby Back Ribs were just as delicious & filling, even after travelling 6 hrs to home from Perth. All due to the professional approach by the staff and extra care taken with the packaging to ensure they retained their freshness, for such a long journey.
Jassinta Doe
Can't say I'm a fan of Tony Roma's, Mr Doe goes semi-regularly with his male friends and brothers and they enjoy the slabs of meat but it's not somewhere I would choose given the option. <br/><br/>I dined at Tony Roma's this evening with a group of colleagues and while it was better than last time when I dined with Mr Doe and was silly enough to order a prawn pasta dish at a steakhouse it still wasn't anything fantastic. <br/><br/>Around the table there was a variety of dishes ordered, I went with the 250g eye fillet served with loaded mash potato and a side salad. As usual I ordered my steak medium rare and it was cooked correctly but the sides were pretty underwhelming especially the mash which was quite dry. I ordered a couple glasses of the Marlborough Pikorua sauvignon blanc which was a lovely well-rounded wine, better suited to drinking on a warm afternoon with friends than over dinner with steak but a nice drop regardless.<br/><br/>The restaurant is pretty average inside, food service was slow and the service was a shambles when they bought the food out and had no idea who which dishes belonged to and in some cases the waiters didn't even know what was on the plate they were delivering.
Zee
The ribs were pretty good but the steak was not so. Had the lemon creme brûlée and that was really good. Service there is great. They come and check on you and ask how everything's going and they're really friendly!
Yoga Z
Hum. It said as the world best ribs but I don't think so. The ribs r so so n it s a little bit expensive. Can u believe a tiny bowl of veg cost $5 😅 I will not recommend as I prefer go to burgers n ribs.
Emily Banks
We ordered honey chickens wings for entree but had the hot sauce wings brought to us, they were quite apologetic but still took a while. When they did come they were amazing, skin was so lightly crunchy! But cost wise, it's $15.50 for 6 wings! I ordered the lamb ribs which were amazing and very meetie for ribs so good value! My partner ordered beef baby back ribs but not a lot of meet on them. Afterwards we shared an Irish coffee which was extremely strong, probably should come with pouring cream instead of crappy whipped cream. Overall very good food, would go again if it wasn't as costly!

It has been a great many years since I've ventured into Tony Romas despite walking past everyday on the way to and from work. I came here during lunch with some colleagues from work and we all decided to dig into some ribs. Upon being seated we were advised that the St Louis and Lamb ribs were sold out and unavailable. Nevermind, I set my eye on the Baby Back Ribs. <br/><br/>While waiting for our meals to be prepared and served to us, the hero of course was the complimentary garlic butter and bread. In fact I think their choice of bread has improved from when I last visited. <br/><br/>The loaded mashed potato was something quite solid and also not very healthy. It was quite gluggy and thick and makes me suspicious whether they used a powdered mix to make the mashed potato instead of using fresh potatoes. The coleslaw wasn't anything special. <br/><br/>Now the ribs looked very delicately portioned and I would advise most normal people to order the Roma or Full rack size as these were not the largest full rack of ribs I've ever seen. I would only advise the Half rack size if you were a very small eater or simply do not enjoy ribs. I wouldn't say that they're the best ribs I've ever had, but they certainly weren't the worst. Simply put, they weren't too bad. <br/><br/>Tasty food, but Perth priced as usual.
Perth Culinary
Excellent services. Great ribs. The foods was perfectly cooked and the service was very quick. This could be the best ribs in perth at the moment, at least for now.......until someone bring in the Hurricane's Grill & Bar from the eastern state.
James Bennett
I doesn't get any better than this. Tony Roma's is my current favorite for dinner. With crispy potato skins, rib sampler and desert cookie i cant imagine a better three course meal. Never too long of a wait and nice atmosphere. Will continue to dine there in the future.
CiderCraze
The waitress we got was amazing, really chirpy and prompt. However the food we ordered was rather underwhelming. The ribs just tasted like they have just been defrosted. There's not much flavour to them either. Doubt I would be back. They have to work on it especially that Ribs and Burgers restaurant is of close proximity in the city.
Professor Piehead
Have been to this TR's a few times now, the ribs, steaks and burgers have all been excellent. The sides on the other hand are pretty average. Service is OK, most of the wait staff seem to be students and some don't seem to have the training or language skills to handle a busy venue like this. <br/>Overall it's what I expected, happy with the food, the main event anyway and the service could be better but workable.
MF
Firstly great ribs and steak<br/>Ribs fall off the bone and are really tasty<br/>Drinks at $10 for a mocktail which was really just a 'fire engine' was a bit rich!<br/>Service was average but our waitress was a trainee and was trying hard to please but at the prices you pay you don't expect all the sides to be wrong and the drinks to spill on the table as they are over full. <br/>Worth going back for the delicious ribs but the rest isn't so good.
Basosapi
The ribs were great as usual. Went with a group of friends for birthday dinner celebration and managed to get booking for 20 coz it's Sunday night. Staffs were attentive and since it was Sunday night, it wasn't as busy. Had St. Louis sampler and my boyfriend had the full rack baby back and both were great. I never knew that you can have loaded sides for potatoes (with bacon sour cream cheese and chives). The loaded baked sweet potato is my new favourite now. 😁
Cols Critique
My partner and I went to Tony Roma's on a Sunday evening it was a last minute decision and we were surprised to get a table. We both ordered the st Louis ribs , the ribs were perfectly cooked and the service was very quick. Our waitress was outstanding and very helpful, knew the menu like the back of her hand. Only negative were the sides that came out , pretty stingey portions.
Lee
The surprise of the evening was the Memphis burger, and it was made up of flat squares of cheddar cheese, bacon, chunky red onion, pickle, pulled pork and a beef patty. The meat was smothered in memphis BBQ sauce and served with fried chips and coleslaw, making it a fairly epic dish
Sludge
Have always wanted to try this place and I was quite impressed.  The quality of the meat shone through, particularly the fillet steaks which were melt in your mouth delicious.  Decent value and sharp service.
NRB
We arrived and booked in for a table of 12. It was nice to finally be seated and to savor some food. Service was good but on the expensive side I think considering what they are competing against in the city. Good job anyways.
Classabove
Love the food. You get what ya pay for. Best baby back ribs in perth by a country mile. I wish it was quieter and had more ambience though. Also the bar needs to be gotten rid of or made bigger. Not a big enough space to have a bar. had to stand next to the front door with a beer in my hand for 30mins waiting for a table.
LittleGirlBigFood
After my USA travels I have come to terms with places such as this! Basically all meat. And huge drinks. I love TR's it's the best!!!!!!!!!!!
JZ
Good family friendly environment, however considering it specialised in its ribs, I wouldn't order anything less! Even trek it into the city to get takeaway ribs from here when we are feeling like a quiet night in with decent food!
Bob Freely
What happened to this place?<br/><br/>Is this the fastest declining restaurant in Perth when it comes to service?<br/><br/>I used to frequent this restaurant back in 2011/12 when I was in the city more often and I'm shocked at how badly its fallen. This was before the refurb. The place used to be pumping, full of attentive staff and professional yet fun managers. After the refurb, the said staff all seemed to leave and replaced by robotic miserable sods.<br/><br/>Me and my friend, who I brought from out of town and promised him a great meal, ordered the prawns to start with. The only plus point from the evening. We then ordered the ribs. Standard for many regulars of Tony Romas I presume. The ribs took nearly 2 hours after entree and the place was nearing on closing.<br/><br/>Of course we enquired of where the ribs may be. The reply 'oh, you ordered mains?' to our shocked amusement. It became that ludicrous we could only laugh.<br/><br/>Then we where ignored again for another 20 minutes, so we asked for a manager. He came, listened and then disappeared himself. But this wasn't the icing on the cake. As he walked off he laughed and actually swore in our direction. We then followed behind him and left immediately and our guess was that they wouldnt of even noticed that. He was too bust flirting with his younger staff members.<br/><br/>Like I said, what happened to this place? Used to be a regular, never again. Its a terrible shame.
Stephanie Wickham
Long story short - I would not go back as the wait staff made diners feel rushed at closing time.Food: Table of 10, ordered a mixture of ribs, steak and pasta. Feedback was that the ribs were good, steak was good, pasta was tasteless.Overall acceptable, nothing mind-blowing especially given the price.Service was ok - main issue and main reason I would not go back is that at 9.30pm on a Sunday evening while there was still guests dining the wait staff started to stack chairs and pack up.This is not acceptable and does not make diners feel welcome or valued. To be charged 37 dollars for a plate of ribs and then be made to feel like you need to rush your dinner and leave quickly is terrible.Would not book for a group again or go back.
Sarah
Love me some Tony Roma's! We come here every year for our anniversary and they never disappoint. Can be very busy but always a fun and enjoyable night out. Service has always been great and the baby back ribs... OmG the best!
Daphne Chen
The kickin prawn was great, the bread was soft but missing the crispy crust. I've order a pulled pork burger which was massive. After having the entree and some side, I don't have room for it. The ribs was cooked nice, but a bit too salty for my taste.
TheGreedyPair
I've been here with family, friends and my girlfriend every time has been great. Ribs are delicious and are a must have if you are going to Tony Romas! Best place in Perth for ribs without a doubt. Service is top notch and very friendly. No bad words about this place. Quality food!
Callum Elsdon
Overpriced for what it is. Portions were very small. My friend and I ordered the rib sampler and the ribs were full of cartilage that we were constantly spitting out. For a $50 main we both left still hungry. Only good thing was the service and the walk home. Won't be returning.

Came here tonight for a mid week dinner, super busy night. Waited 20 mins for a table and had drinks at the bar, great service all night even though they were busy.. Beautiful ribs. Great night until dessert, ordered the strawberry cheesecake and it was like a sponge cake. Looks like an over cooked baked cheesecake even though the picture showed something different. Tasted purely like a vanilla sponge. Very disappointing for $12.95. Disappointing ending to what was otherwise a good dining experience.

Great Service. We dined in on a Thursday night with two young kids in our group.<br/>The staff were efficient, the service was impeccable with food arriving very quickly after ordering and it wasn't a problem to speed up the kids desserts to keep them happy.<br/>Our table chose ribs, burgers and steaks from the menu and there was not a complaint from anyone - the kids mac and cheese was very fresh and a welcome surprise from the usually sub-par kids menu.<br/>Meal sizes were good value for money. Will definitely be going back.
Weirdo From Across The Street
Ribs were nice and tender But steak was bigger in the pic and tasted average but they did cook the steak right at least

Yum. Great food and service. Cost for drinks is little high but id be back

Loved these ribs, done just right and bibs provided!

Amazing food. My partner and i came here for tea. it was very busy, with a wait time of 30 minutes. we happily sat at the bar whilst i enjoyed some beautiful cocktails from their menu, they even made a cocktail for me which i made up. with a short wait time of 20 mins we had a table. The ribs were just sensational. the service was wonderful and the atmosphere was great! i will DEFIANTLY make sure we go again.

Gimme dem baby back ribs. Hands down the best Rib House in Western Australia
LEXO
Good food! And good service!! Exactly what u want for a nice dinner out! <br/>I like that u can take your ribs away if u don't finish them.
Jesika
Good ribs, terrible steak. Ribs, yum!<br/>My steak was however very, very tough and watery, almost like the steak had been in a steamer to keep it warm. I had to swallow the liquid from the steak and continue chewing to the point that if another diner looked over it would be embarrassing.<br/>Ordered the wild mushroom sauce, also liquefied almost transparent in a tiny bowl for an additional $3, already on top of a $38 dismal steak, with iceberg lettuce in another tiny bowl as the salad and one tablespoon of mash.<br/>Service was great, very prompt. Ribs were yum. Steak a total let down.
Steak Or Chicken Guy
Good food and meal size. Took my son and got served quickly despite being full. Onion basket was nice but you need a few people to share. Fillet medallions were great as was NY steak
Finnthehuman33
Have been here a few times and love it! Staff are attentive without being annoying and the location is superb. Do try the wings in buffalo sauce for entree and the pork ribs for main. Get it every time. My favourite American style restaurant in Perth. <br/>Would recommend booking a table as it gets very busy and you have to wait at the bar for a while. <br/>Wish they would offer American desserts too!

Overrated tripe. I can't fathom why people like this place. After giving it another chance last night, I'm now 100% convinced this place is one of the most overrated restaurants in Perth.<br/><br/>Last time, my ribs were dry, burnt and had hardly any meat on them. This time I decided to give the potato skins and the Memphis burger a try.<br/><br/>My first plate arrived and a total of six potato kind were on my plate. Combine them and you'd have maybe enough skin to cover a full potato. Check out the excellent presentation too on the photo I've uploaded. Cheese had been slathered over each one and a couple of sprinkles of bacon. Add in a small pot of sour cream and there's your $15 entree.<br/><br/>Hopes were high for the Memphis burger at this stage. I mean how could things get worse really. To my surprise, out comes the burger with no pulled pork in sight. The entire table started to examine the burger and it wasn't until we lifted the beef patty (?!?) that we found what appeared to be a spoonful of pulled pork.<br/><br/>The burger tasted excessively greasy, so I ordered myself a lemon, lime and bitters. Out comes a glass entirely full of ice with some drink around it. One sip and the glass was nearly empty. Suffice to say I did not finish the burger.<br/><br/>We were then rather promptly asked to order dessert which thankfully, none of our table did. We put our money in and went to leave but the staff also seemed to have problems counting and couldn't work out that we'd paid the full amount and even managed to leave a small tip (don't ask me why).<br/><br/>With so many better options available in Perth, please put your money elsewhere to avoid disappointment!
Arepasinqueso
Pretty good. I couldn't complain about this place. Usual Perth pricing, but get past that and the food is nice. Staff are very polite and helpful. Kudos to 'Vivi' for her exceptional show of patience with a couple of our fussy colleagues. One thing, avoid the booths, they're awkward for your posture.
Renee Airey
Glad I found this place!. Had the steak & wild mushroom flat bread which was delicious it had a really flat crisp base. Probably the best mashed potato I've ever had (tastes deliciously unhealthy) potato skins were okay not great.. Baby back ribs to share were great a lot of meat compared to other baby back ribs I've had.<br/><br/>I'd have to agree that the food is a little over priced at least it is nice food. The service was very fast on a busy Saturday night with friendly helpful staff. I will be going again :):)
DAVID
NOT GOOD. Ten of us went here for a family dinner. The food was good, but<br/>The place was too noisy, there are no soft furnishings to absorb sound, it's almost unbearable.<br/>Too hot - about 25Deg.C.<br/>The tables were too close together (obviously to fit more people in) such that even the staff were struggling to bring the food to the table. <br/>We won't go here again.
Uttara Merchant
I have not been able to have anything else at Tony Roma's because the ribs are just so good! Original Baby backs and St Louise Ribs are my favourite. <br/><br/>Be sure to book during week nights as they are always full!
Caffeind
Overpriced chain restaurant. Very expensive for the quality and ambience (ie. none). So many better places to get good steaks.
Don K Dick
Its is what it is ........... Look if you have never had a pork rib or chicken leg with smoky BBQ sauce on <br/>if you like a central location, pay over price bills ,in a nice restaurant this place is for you <br/>i would of thought they might of been more to the food e.g. different styles to ribs 'hot sauce',spicy sauce',sweet and swore<br/>,honey and rosmary etc ..<br/> something different that you can't get anywhere else to keeps you wanting to go back a second time <br/>a specials board would be a good idea <br/>better prestation on the plate<br/>less slap it on a plate, give us your money and f... off
Simonelson368
Same same .... Same same ... as they are simply the best ribs around.<br/><br/>Just a shame they have taken the potato skins out of the Roma Sampler entre :(

Best rib in Perth. My second visit. <br/>As good as the first. <br/>Good service (Thanks Rebecca) great ribs (baby back) fantastic time! !!!

Best Ribs Ever. Great Ribs and Steak. The Wings are awesome as well. A little pricey but the quality of the food is great! Definitely will be back!!

Tony Roma's, always my first choice for a steak in Perth and Fremantle. Just another great meal that met all expectations. Recommend the steak and ribs combo to one and all, be sure to get the sweet potato side!
Kristen110
Delicious ribs but quite pricey. This place can be commended for absolutely delicious, mouth watering ribs. They fall away from the bone, melt in your mouth and their original bbq sauce is equally amazing! I do think the prices are extremely steep for what you actually get though. This place was refurbished a while ago but I didn’t notice any major changes it did look nice with the ivy dividers and new tables and chairs. I haven’t been here for at least a year, maybe two I noticed a few subtle changes since our last visit. The onion loaf can’t be brought as a full or half size anymore just one size which seemed like half. When you order ribs you don’t get the option to pick two sides the menu states they come with coleslaw. They didn’t have the Tony Roma moist towels either... All of those things are no biggie, just pointing that out. My partner and I shared an onion loaf, a full sized ribs (with coleslaw and chips). I also had a glass of wine I think for almost $80.00 that is a lot to pay.
I.live.to.eat
Service isn't great, but they weren't rude or anything. The ribs however were an absolute winner with the whole table. All agreed would could've gone a whole rack on our own instead of between 2 (party of 4).
Wayney
Wayne eats Perth. Service was good the mash was ordinary the salad was bit like coleslaw without the Mayo and the 300gm rib eye well I think I do better job on the barbie with Costco meat.

Went to Tony Roma's Perth last night with my friend to have our dinner. I have been to different places , and tried different dishes , but never like Tony Roma's ... A great management with a hospitable manager with a great charisma who introduced us to one of his lovely staff who welcomed us looked after us in a great atmosphere .. Had my tasty ribs so did my friend .. Thank you Tony Roma's for making our night ..<br/>I'm not from Perth, but I highly recommend this place !!

Great ribs.... Revisited Tony Roma's after the refurbishment for a taste of their famous ribs - food was finger lickin good with great service and obliging staff but sadly the turnover to refill spots put a damper on the evening:( Entree was out before we'd finished our cocktails followed closely by the wine and mains!
Flicky
Great ribs. Wandered in here for the famous ribs . Had full rack of lamb ribs which did the two of us. Finger linking good . Fast service this day . All that we needed .<br/>Would certainly revisit

My Bf and I went here for lunch- best Ribs in Perth! The service was great and fast which was even better because we were hungry. Couldn't eat them quick enough! Will be back for sure

Heaps Better. Went to this places ages ago and was ok, went back as I had a friend from the States over and wow was impressive, busy, a wait...all good big servings, good staff and well yes you pay for it as well, it's Perth....Be back again for sure....good to see they have got better...

Tried to get a table on 2 occasions, both times the restaurant was only half full and both times I was told it wold be a 20 minute wait, Not going back waste of time!

Dined at Tony Romas on thur 21 Aug for a friends 24th bdae. Itwas a group of 10. I ordered the st Louise ribs itwas tender warm and delicious and their house white went well with the dish. Our orders wer taken on time and all the food was hot and tasty the service was on point. Will definately be going there again
PerthAussieGuy
Warning, don't eat dinner.... ...if you had a big or late lunch because you won't enjoy the experience. Hang off from lunch altogether and try one of the starters (the potato skins are sooooooooo yummy) before pigging out on the full rack (I had the St.Louis and medallions) or any one of the rib combinations. Finger licking bbq sauce, you have to eat the racks with your fingers!. Desserts were also yummy (Top marks for the creme brulee although I have enjoyed better cheesecake). Staff were always cheerful and attentive, thank you for the great service. <br/>We will be back for sure.

Lovely food but horrendous wait time to start off with. We visited Tony's last night in a group of 4. They don't take bookings for Friday and Saturday night service so we went in expecting a wait. We were told the table would be 30 minutes, after 40 minutes we approached the desk to inquire about our table, we were told it was going to be an additional 15 minutes. During this time the staff served complementary fries. After 25 minutes we inquired again having witnessed groups who arrived after us being seated before us. We were told it was going to be another 15 minutes. I asked why groups were being seated before us and was told larger groups are seated first - not operating on a first come first served basis is not the way to go. The amount of customers who left before being offered a table far exceeded the number of bigger groups who were accommodated. Only for the waiter in charge of table service came to the desk and promised us a table in the next 5 minutes we would have left. Once seated we ordered immediately. Food service was quick and the food was delicious!! However the meal was tainted by the ignorant guy on the front desk. One of us had the ribs (he's still talking about how good they were) and the rest of us got perfectly cooked steaks. Portion sizes were big and filling. Our plates were cleared soon after we finished, At this stage the place was fairly quiet, we were not offered a coffee or dessert menu for 40 minutes. The wait time would make me think twice about going back, but the food was gorgeous. They guy on the desk needs to check his attitude.

Below average ribs, horrendously priced. Everyone else loved it, simpletons are easily pleased obviously.
Tintin
Nothing to write home about. I lunched here and had the grilled chicken breast with salad, fine but a little bland. Pricing is average.

Overall a nice experience, my Bistro Burger wasn't anything to rave about but my date loved the ribs. Staff were very friendly and helpful, the waitress checked on us a few times and helped me pick between choices on the menu. Would consider coming back and trying another dish!

Always a winner. Tony Romas is always good.<br/><br/>I have never had a bad experience, and the ribs are seriously to die for.<br/><br/>My only issue is that I can never stop eating, and walk out too full....but who's fault is that but my own.<br/><br/>Looking for a reasonably priced monster feed? A CWang Review. The problem previously encountered were steaks with too thin thickness would overcook too easily leaving tough flavorless result. Steaks too thick would burn before centre was cooked as fry oven method was unavailable leaving the only option avaiable to be frying for 5-6 min each side. Result was worse with butter due to butter degrading faster than oil. Previous cuts of 1 inch were cooked at 2 mins each side on high heat. Only front side and backside. No side frying apart from quick sear of fat. This led to beautiful crusting in sides, yet little cooking done in the centre leaving it raw/rare and therefore very chewwy. By altering it to high sear on all sides for 1 min only. Juices are able to be locked within steak to allow optimal cooking. The following 1 min fry over medium heat may be extended to 1.5 mins perhaps as centre was borderline rare and the medium fry time is hypothesised to cook the inside of the steak, a longer cook time is direclty correlated to more doneness, however the threat of medium cooked steak is a risk. Further improvements include pre seasoning for a longer period of time, a few hours before frying. Temperature inside house was low which impacted the steaks ability pre cooking to reach room temperature<br/><br/><br/>-----06 Jul, 2014-----<br/><br/>Very like. Anthony dang approves

Not bad. Last time we visited was a few years ago, decor has changed, better lighting! Menu still the same. Ordered lamb ribs which was a bit tough, difficult to cut even with a steak knife and not much flavour. Pork ribs were good, was falling off the bone! Ordered the onion loaf as a starter, which seems to have shrunk in size and did not arrive as a starter, we had to ask for it as our ribs had arrived first! Will give it another try though, cant resist the onion loaf!

Was bad now good. 6 of us visited friday night, packed full. good food good service. lot better than last year!

Busy place. Went on a Wednesday night with a group and it was suprisingly busy. This didnt affect the service though and we were served in a timely manner. I ordered the salmon which was probably not the best choice as it was dry and accompaniments were a bit bland. Others on the table were very happy with the ribs - probably a good choice for this venue. Would go again to try the steak. Child friendly place.

So so. Nice place and friendly staff, much to choose from on menu. Food is standard steak house fodder, nothing special. My burger had no sauce and was dry, and the chips lacked seasoning & flavour. Would go back for another go though, my partner loved it.

Food taste great and you don't have to wait! Friendly staff, definitely coming back,

FANTASTIC RIBS. My family of four (2 kids) all ordered with Ribs as the highlight. They were awesome, tender and tasty. The service was slow for the drinks but speedy for the ribs. The sauces for the ribs were wonderful. We dined early around 5:30pm. When we left at about 6:30 the place was starting to get busy and people were waiting to be seated. As we walked to the car, we noticed that even though other restaurants were open for business, they were extremely quiet, where as Tony Romas was busy. Very happy with meal and service.

Lovely meals. My son and I called in for a quick early dinner on our way home from the city tonight. Was great to see a family restaurant in the city with early service! Food was great though service a little slow. We were seated behind a wall so figure we were out of site. Had a chicken pasta which was great though was disappointed to have Roma tomatoes throughout rather than sundried tomatoes which had attracted me to the meal in the first place. My little guy had the fish and chips which looked fantastic! The restaurant was great, everything clean and tidy which impressed me given the large number of children seated within the restaurant. I would certainly return to this restaurant.

Went here for a mid week dinner not long ago. Large, tasty meals. Nicely presented too. The decor was a nice surprise too. Fast, friendly service was really refreshing. For a Monday night there was no shortage of hungry <br/>people, I'd recommend booking ahead for sure. If you haven't been, be sure to go.

Recommended. From personal experience with my partner, the staff were very attentive and cheerful, food was cooked quickly and tasted incredible. I highly recommend their baby back ribs.

Good American Feed. Love Going to Tony's. Sure, the meals are close to $50, but the quality is outstanding and they certainly don't skimp on quantity. Quite often, I feel the larger than normal plates are too small for what they put on it. <br/><br/>If you are going to Tony's, you get meat. Ribs, steak, chicken, or a combo platter. That is what you are there for. You then get to choose 2 sides to accompany the mountain. My default is beer batter steak cut chips (perfectly cooked) and loaded mash (mash potatoes topped with cheese and bacon; OMFG YUM). There is coleslaw, corn, assorted veggies...<br/><br/>Of course, if you aren't into meat topped meat, covered in a deliciously sticky sauce, there are other options. Bountiful burgers and sandwiches, fantastically fresh fish and assorted seafood, and a great selection of salads, soups and pastas. And their cocktail list is far from shabby.<br/><br/>All in all a great location, parking isn't hard (for the city), and the food is nothing short of amazing. Now to get my boss to hold this years Christmas party there...
Stef
Yummy! Don't go unless your hungry!. I have eaten here several times and the service is always good as is the food. Especially for lunch time CBD workers can get a delicious lunch served quickly. I had the pulled pork sandwich today and it was delish! You definitely don't leave this place hungry.
Hungryhippos
Had heard Tony Roma's was good so thought we'd try it ourselves. Ordered the baby back ribs and the beef ribs with the traditional BBQ sauce. Serving sizes were good for the meat though a little disappointing with the sides (not very exciting and there was no salad option other than coleslaw) but we're still full to the brim and are suffering from a food coma thanks to eating too much! <br/>Prices are on the high side for a good meat portion but it's on par with ribs at other restaurants. Atmosphere was nice and I notice they used real plants inside which was a nice touch. Food came out very quickly (

Always a joy to come here. I always save Tony Roma's for special occasions like birthdays and anniversaries because it never fails to disappoint. Mouth watering ribs that melt in your mouth, crispy onion loaf, creamy mashed potatoes and grilled sweet corn. Yumm....... <br/>Good thing is that this place is never too crowded even though they don't take bookings.

Friendly and Super fast service, fall-off-the-bone delectable ribs and awesome buffalo wings. Who could ask for more? Make sure you leave room in your beli before going here!

Best Ribs in town. This is our favourite restaurant. Love the Ribs as always, the burgers and the steak. Really love the new look of the restaurant. Wish they take booking on sat though.
Christinele89
Not the best ribs in Perth... Went to Tony Romas last night.. and boy were we all dissapointed. Waited over 45 minutes for our meals to come out and the service wasn't the best. After reading reviews on how big the meals were, unfortunately ours weren't that big and most of us left still hungry! You know your meal wasn't the great when the mashed potato was the highlight of your meal. Bigger and better ribs from De Cribs. Won't be coming back.. I think they might need to review their prices!
Jonnie Bee
Great service, good comes out fast, huge portions!!! Super full - great place for a real blokes meal!! (No split bills)
Brad Ryman
For a place that advertises itself as "seafood" it was very disappointing. Too noisy and the salmon was overlooked and dry. I would not recommend this.
Shar070911
Flavour fiesta. 80% of Urbanspoon reviewers can't be wrong, right? So following their advice we went to Tony Romas last night and were blown away by: our friendly and very helpful waitress, the ribs -they were a revelation all spicy bbq smoky pork falling off the bone, the steak cooked perfectly and Loaded Sides. Comfort food cooked well, great atmosphere and happy staff - what are you waiting for?
Frank
Food was nice... cost is a bit high. I had the mushroom burger which was not too bad at all.... nice setting but a bit overpriced...........
B
Tasty Romas. Tony Roma's is quickly becoming one of my favourite places to eat in Perth, laid-back, simple food, nice atmosphere, and the cocktails are great (especially the espresso cocktail, yum!). I always have the ribs, and they're always delicious and tender.<br/><br/>Staff have been ignorant on a few occasions but always pleasant nonetheless. I wish you guys would take bookings for Friday & Saturday nights, though!
Prince Of Perth
Disapproved. American steakhouses are all about big quality portions. No value for money here.
Antony Broad
Cool beans. All in all a great evening at Tony Roma's but I think it's worth pointing out that even this place can't manage to deliver MEDIUM RARE to the plate. I'm yet to find a place in Perth that can cook medium rare, so this wasn't awfully disappointing nor very surprising. The girl who brought out the food also wasn't sure what she was holding but that was of little consequence. I'd happily return anytime.

O.K. but thats about it. PROS - Portion were large (even for the kids), Food tasted good<br/>CONS - Food was expensive, Waitress staff were standoffish and it was hard to get thier attention
Foodie123
Delicious!. The first time my boyfriend and I went here we didn't know what to expect so we ordered a full slab of ribs each along with 2 sides and drinks. When we were served the food we were in for a shock as the portions were much larger than we had in mind. It took an effort and a half to finish our meals but that was alright with us. The sauce used for the ribs was delicious! It may seem expensive but you really do get your moneys worth out of the meals. Service was great!
Brisbane Girl
Went here with my bf. It was really busy and we realised why, it's so good. It wasn't cheap but it was definitely worth it. The drinks are pretty cheap, esp the non alcoholic ones. The food was great, it was so so quick. The staff were excellent; so well organised and attentive and friendly. I would definitely come here again.

Not a memorable experiance. After having been to Tony's before we suggested the restaurant to friends for their ribs and made a booking.<br/>Got to the restaurant on the vening of the 24th and booking was incorrect ,proceeded to order from sticky menu's the mojo chicken and ribs only to find portions had shrunk significantly and Mojo chicken was dry and tasteless.<br/>baked potato was undercooked and brown in the middle ,they offered to replace with another baked potato or chips .Had to to ask staff to clear table as we ordered dessert and received the dessert in a one by one fashion while dirty dishes were still on the table.<br/><br/>Overall very dissapointed ,as for the ribs they were still reasonably tasty but the quality of service associated cost is way below par..
Luke McKenzie
Pricey. Food is always good but the portion size and prices need to be looked at. Wing portion size is horrible considering how much it is.<br/><br/>No competition in Perth because ribs are bad every where here so I guess they can charge what they like.
Craig
AMAZING!!. Amazing food, but very expensive...
Sin
Thoroughly disappointed. We ordered the potato skins and baked potato soup to start. Potato skins arrived rather quickly but were a plate of mush. No real flavour, even the cheese was bland. Soup arrived 20 minutes later (after I asked where it was) followed by the mains 4 minutes after that. Salmon with garlic butter and chicken Alfredo with a side of 'fully loaded mash' for mains. Alfredo wasn't all bad but again lacking flavour. Salmon was so overlooked that it was too rubbery to eat and the mash, I'm sure it was Deb. Add to this they had taken hubby's cutlery and left him a spoon to eat his chicken alfredo. After trying to catch the attention of the staff we gave up and I handed over my cutlery and ate a mouthful of salmon with my soup spoon. Hubby ate about half of his pasta while I tried to get the attention of the staff. I finally got the attention of the manager to explained that the salmon was over cooked and also had a little whine about the timing and lack of cutlery. The manager took my salmon to the kitchen and returned saying "There is nothing wrong with the salmon, you just don't like it. It is cooked exactly perfect, that's how we serve it here. <br/>Wow! Cooked exactly perfect.. There is no doubt in my mind that the salmon was fresh, it was simply cooked so long that it was in edible. The manager took the salmon off our bill and needless to say we didn't leave a tip. <br/>I will not be returning to Tony's

Delicious Ribs!. I come here often as I absolutely love the ribs here. Can definitely recommend the Bountiful Beef Ribs in Carolina Honey Sauce. Plenty of meat and you can drag it off the bone with a fork, no need for messy fingers. The onion loaf for entree is also lovely but be warned - the mains are very large in size so proceed with caution if you get an entree! You will want to eat every last bit of your main it is that good.

Mixed Emotions. Our friends have bragged about this place for quite a while. So we thought we would go with them on one of their quarterly visits. They mixed our reservations up but that was alright they were quick to cater to give us a bigger seat. We waited a while to be served again. Ordered our meals. The waitress, although her badge said she was a trainee, she was friendly and nice. We ordered our meals, I ordered a drink (champagne mixer). They had put too much bitters in the champagne, which was hard to drink. My girlfriend complaind to the waitress she followed it up and advised she would take the $19.50 cocktail off our bill. Which was good. We received all our mains and then our entree came out whilst we were halfway through our mains, which wasn't good. The "loaded mash" seemed like small tablespoon of "deb" and a little bit of cheese, bacon etc. They forgot the sour cream so I had to request it. Other than that, our ribs were yummy and we all enjoyed it. I will most likely go back. However not too quick though.
Anthony
Best ribs in Perth! Taste like those back in the States. A tad expensive though.

Favourite Ribs Place. Had dinner here before concert with friends. As always, tasty ribs in town and good service. Good portion size. Love the new fresh look of the restaurant.

Not Happy Tony!. Since the renovation (what did they actually do?) I found that prices have increased and service has deteriorated. <br/>We arrived at 7.00 and were told we had to wait for an hour before we get a table. We reluctantly agreed because this is a favourite of ours. During the wait, there were multiple tables unoccupied, but despite repeated requests, were told we had to wait.<br/>Eventually we were led to a table, given menus and then after waiting a further 15 minutes managed to get someone to take our order (not our wait person as she was "too busy")<br/>Three of us ordered half racks of ribs, and one ordered a variety of starters. My plate when it arrived had 6 rather small ribs a few chips and a small plate of coleslaw. The taste was good BUT I object to paying $6 per rib. They had no baked potatoes available even though they are on the menu.<br/>We all felt the same, the food was good but portion sizes were very small and the service together with the length of time we had to wait made this a totally unenjoyable experience. We will not go back<br/>It cost us $125 for 3 small main meals and 2 starters. We had no sweets or coffee.

Love it. I LOVE American food, so Tony Roma's was amazeballs to me. I tried as much food as i could and it was all good. Not exactly healthy, but GOOD. The ribs sampler is HUGE and SO GOOD. The brownie dessert was divine, I am craving it right now. The service was great and the prices are good considering the serving sizes.

Never again. After visiting Tony Roma's in the USA we were hooked with the fantastic food. But when we tried the perth restaurant we walked away agreeing it was the most revolting disgusting food we had ever eaten in Perth.<br/>We were so disappointed to see all the positive reviews in urbanspoon and see and taste the actual food was terrible.<br/>It goes to show you cannot trust urban spoon also in where to pick a good restaurant.

Better than expected!. I'm not big on steakhouses in general however a friend from Japan had just arrived and wanted his "first meal" in Australia to be Western food. We decided to take him to Tony Roma's upon the recommendation of another friend who said their ribs were fantastic.<br/><br/>We arrived and though they were quite busy, they were kind enough to offer the option of giving us a call in 1 hour. No more than 35 minutes had passed when we received the call, for which we were grateful. We promptly returned to the restaurant to continue the evening.<br/><br/>I'd like to begin by saying that though the service from all with whom we interacted was good, the supervisor in particular (James I believe) was fantastic. The service was casual without being unprofessional and we felt very comfortable. We decided on the rib eye upon the recommendation of the waiter and we were not disappointed. Our steaks were cooked exactly as we had asked them to be and it turned out to be a fantastic first evening for my friend overall.<br/><br/>Therefore though not usually a fan of the style of food, I'd certainly visit Tony Roma's once again for a casual evening of drinks, catch up and "Western food" especially for first-timers in Australia. Cheers!

Food, good. Atmosphere, great. Service, lovely. <br/>For entree my bf and I had half an onion loaf which I would rate 7.5/10. Taste was great, sauce was good.<br/>For main we had Tony roma Feast which consisted of ribs, chicken, sausages, corn and coleslaw. <br/>The coleslaw and chicken were the best items. The coleslaw was refreshing, crispy and the mayo wasn't too thick. The chicken was bursting with Flavour, cooked over charcoal flame. The corn was bland, not even naturally sweet, the butter it came with wasn't enough to make up for the lack of Flavour. The ribs were overdone and dry, if it wasn't for the sauce, it would have been more unpleasant to eat. The sausages were okay, nothing special, slathered with the same sauce that came with the ribs and chicken. Overall the main was slightly dissappointing since the ribs should have been the highlight of the dish. We definitely don't think it was worth the $76 we had to pay for the main alone.<br/>For drinks, my boyfriend had Pepsi and I had a tutti fruity mock tail. It was far too sweet. <br/><br/>Overall I would say I had a decent meal but it's not as good as everyone raves it is. I would rate it as, 6.5-7/10. Definitely have been to better steakhouses and have had better ribs before than what was served here.

Great night. I'm in love with Tony Roma's! The food was out of this world, came very fast after we ordered with no complications. They even gave us a bib to wear whilst eating our ribs.

Best Ribs and service in town. Last night my friends and I went to Tony Romas for the first time after reading some of the review.<br/>If you want a best ribs and service dont waste your time just go to Tony Romas.<br/>thanks guys.see u soon.

Overpriced restaurant! Half of the Family Feast is fries! Piece of steak was tender but BBQ sauce is an ordinary one that you easily get in the supermarket. It's a rip-off considering is $77.50!<br/>Caesar salad is tasteless!

Quick service and great drinks deals

We went to Tony Romas tonight ,we didn't have reservation so they told me that we had to wait 30 min but table became ready so earlier than that.<br/>Food were magnificent .<br/>Staff are so friendly .<br/>That was my first time but for sure is not my last time .

Vastly over rated. Early Sunday Lunch at Tony Romas; almost empty when we were seated at 11.50. Despite that, it was more than half full by the time our meals hit the table. I should have known not to be the only one of our party of 3 to order a starter, as this seemed to lose us any attention from the staff once it arrived (flavourless 'potato' soup, akin to the conrnflour based stuff served up in chinese restaurants 30 years ago!). $37.90 for my 3 'bite sized' filet medallions; flavourless and tough. One of them adorned with a sauce straight out of the fridge, and a salad from the same place. My wifes ribs were nothing special either. What a rip-off!<br/><br/>Why not complain you may ask? ...... well we were there with my daughter; her birthday treat so the last thing you want to do is make that a complaint fest. We'll vote with our feet; quite honestly I've had better prepared and more enjoyable meals out of our local Macdonalds

Service was REALLY bad. We went to Tony Roma's for a Sunday lunch yesterday. We were seated immediately. After we sat down, we failed to attract any attention from the staff.<br/>The TR's sampler was good and we liked the onion loaf. The mains were put on our table while we were still having the entree. We had to put our main meal on the side and quickly finish the rest of the entree.<br/>We ordered the filet medallions+ribs and grilled prawns+ribs with broccoli and mash potato for our main. The steak were BURNT. I couldn't taste anything but BURNT and it was very tough. The broccoli was overcooked but cold and the mash was old and dry. Only the ribs were ok. <br/>After a not-so-pleasant lunch, we were standing at the till. The staff was rude and did not even smile nor say thank you. All he said was"do you want your receipt". <br/>Although we did like the onion loaf and the ribs, we are NOT likely to come back.<br/><br/>Service: 3/10<br/>Meal Quality: 6/10<br/>Meal Price: 6/10<br/>Overall: 5/10

The mixed ribs are awesome. The beef ones are unbeatable. Love this place

Steak and pasta. Steak and pasta is delicious here. Portion size is quite decent. Haven't tried the ribs, but not really a fan of ribs to begin with. Service can be good and can be bad, depends how busy they really are.

Worth a shot. Tony Roma's can be a bit of a hit and miss, but if you happen to be there on a night when all cylinders are firing, the steaks and ribs are awesome!

Tony Regular Roma. I've heard TR is a bit of a hit and miss, but the last weekend was quite a hit for us. The ribs and steak were cooked perfect, falling off the bone. The onion loaf in the entree was a favourite amongst our table. It was a better experience than I had expected, although it is one of those places I will only revisit once in a while. <br/><br/>Dessert on the other hand was a stand out for me. I thoroughly enjoyed the cookie with ice cream served in a small hot pan. And the chocolate avalanche was delicious too.

LONG WAIT. I've eaten at Tony Roma's all over the world as I love the onion rings and ribs. This one at Perth made me wait the longest for food.<br/><br/>We visited Tony Roma's after a day of shopping in Perth City. <br/>I was hungry. Very hungry in fact and was looking forward to my favourite onion loaf and ribs. <br/><br/>Upon entry, we waited almost 15 minutes to be seated. The restaurant was 70% empty but the wait staff at the door was entertaining some customers who were paying for their meals so we had to wait to be seated. We looked around the restaurant and for the whole 15 minutes, there were empty tables all around but no one to seat us.<br/><br/>After being seated, we had to wait another 20 minutes for someone to take our order. There was only 3 wait staff serving the whole restaurant. It was ridiculous. <br/><br/>The only thing that didn't disappoint me was the food as it was served and tasted exactly the way I expected it to.

Although a bit pricy, TR is good value for money - especially when the trip to Mandurah seems a bit rough for a Sunday arvo. Ribs are superb.

Best wings in Perth!!! If anyone knows better please let me know

Fantastic food 10/10 had to wait a bit, but thats clearly a testsment so how great it is. So happy going back again tomorrow.

Great Ribs. Love my baby back ribs. Generous portion and good service. Definately the place for Ribs!

Ridiculously over priced. We didnt bother to stay. can find a better dinner at dirty nelly's down the rosd for almost half the price. Wont be back

Totally overrated. The food seems to be going further down hill. Service is great, but unfortunately the food leaves a lot to be desired.

Great Food!. We love this restaurants and go there for a lot of special occasions. Food is always great and the service is good. I would highly recommend!

Very disappointed. One of our favorite Perth restaurants but we were so disappointed tonight. <br/>We arrived around 4.45pm and there were only four other tables occupied. However, it took the waitress 16 mins bring water then take drink order. Another 15 mins for them to arrive and she set them down and was about to walk away when I asked 'uh we would actually like to order please'<br/>With that another waitress stepped up and took our order. Food arrived not too long after but gosh were we disappointed! $47 for such a small serve of beef and ribs. <br/>By some miracle I managed to summon yet a different waitress some 10 mins after we had finished our mains so we could order dessert. <br/>Shocking service. Not rushing back again

Best Ribs Ever. Tony roma's has the best service, i went there a few times and the waitress and waiters always smiling and helpful. I love their entree kicking prawns and fire wings. I love all their ribs with difference sauces. Its very addictive and i particularly a big fan of their chips. I always bring my friends to tony roma's and the price is reasonable too.

Best food ever!!!!. Tony Roma's has great food and great service. The staff are always friendly and efficiant and you never have to wait long for food and drinks after ordering. The kicking prawns never taste anything but fantastic and everything on the menu i've tried so far has been delicious.<br/>Have been back several times and will keep going back!

Yummo. Right, Where do I start, We had Kickin Prawns and Fire wings this time for starters, this time i thought id try the Blue cheese dipping sauce and OMG why didnt i try this before.<br/>2nd I like to eat BIG. i chose the Star Studded Sampler this time round & again OMG the Beef rib was SOOO tender, (next time ill order just these)<br/>will be back for sure & with More people. <br/>a must FEED for all meat lovers!
Syd
Great Ribs. The best Ribs and excellent service.
Ken
What a waste!. Came here on a whim...thought it would be good as it was so busy but sadly was extremely disappointed. The onion loaf was the most greasy deep fried dish I have ever consumed and the saddest part, not crispy!!! Really it should be renamed to mushy greasy round thing. The ribs unfortunately was not the saving grace, they were tough and unpalatable. The glugy sauce did not help. In summary not melt in your mouth ribs but stuck in your teeth. The service was decent but Never again!
Joss Monnock
No Ribs???. I went here the other night with a group or friends for a some ribs. When the waitress finally came over to take our order of their signature ribs, we were told they were all out. How can a restaurant that sells predominantly ribs, have run out. Especially since it was only 6:30 on a Tuesday. Anyway we ordered a different kind of rib with the original BBQ sauce. And all i can say about that sauce is YUCK! The coleslaw side that came with was disgusting and watery. The wait staff have no idea what they are doing nor did they even care. For a restaurant that charges the exorbitant prices they do, they need a serious overhaul. Or better still, just shut down and open up a van that only serves chips as they were great!!
Puspita
Great food - tasty & consistent quality wise and great service - friendly & effective !

I have been her many times and really do like the ribs. The quality has slowly decreased over the years but its still tasty :)

Brilliant!. EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT!! the service was so fantastic they made sure every step of the way we were well looked after and enjoying everything. We didnt even have to signal when we were ready to order they were on top of everything. <br/><br/>The food arrived immediately and was cooked perfectly and absolutely delicious. <br/><br/>The place also had a great atmosphere and will continue to go back there over and over again, I reccomend it to everyone!
Sunny
Lovely Food!. I must admit after sitting down I stared at the prices on the menu for quite a while. I was concerned about what I'm paying for.<br/><br/>However, when the food arrived it smelled and looked delicious. Even though our table of 4 were full, we continued to eat until we emptied out plates. It was delicious, despite the high prices. <br/><br/>The steak was extremely soft and flavorsome. Beats Hogsbreath and Outback Jacks by far. <br/><br/>For quality and customer service - this place is amazing. The only downside is the price, but for the occasionally visit, it's definitely worth it.

We dined at a Tony Roma's overseas and were extremely impressed so we thought we would try the Perth version. Unfortunately it did not live up to expectations. <br/>For the prices they are charging we were expecting something special. This was more like pub food that dining. It was tasty and well cooked, but there was no presentation and nothing to stand out. The decore was ok, but plastic table and chairs is really not to be expected. <br/>If they dropped the price significantly (the average main on our table of 4 was $40+) then they might hit the mark. Until then, we won't be back.

Best for a long time. We visited T Rs for the first time on Saturday night. They were very busy and had a wait for over an hour, we we knew when we called to book. Unfortunately they don't do bookings on saturdays but thats fine. They took our number so we could go for a beer nearby and get a call when they had a table. They caked us within the hour. The service and food was very good, such a nice schange for Perth. It was not a rip off either. We will definitely return. Its nice to leave a restauant and not feel like you have paid too much for poor food and terrible service.

Excellent service, staff are friendly and professional which i really like about the service and they are tidy!! Love the bar while you wait as they were a bit busy!! The food was soooooo yummy!! Great work guys, deff will be back and tell every1 about u guys..keep it up:)

Great tasty honest food. Will definitely be back.

Always Reliable. We went the starters Steak and Wild Mushroom Flat bread and what a way to start. Simply, fantastic.<br/><br/>We then went the Original Baby back ribs and Bistro Burger. The ribs were excellent, messy but well worth sharing and getting messy together. The Bistro burger we had cut in half and shared it. I love a good tasty beef burger topped with caramelized onions.Really mix well.<br/>The staff were friendly and the experience is worth coming back to.

Ribs Ribs Ribs. Really loves the Ribs. My favourite is the red hots St Louis and the baby back ribs. Best Ribs in town.

Superb food & attentive staff:). We recently went to Tony Romas prior to going to the Arena (close proximity.) The kickin prawn entree is "simply the best" my steak was very tender and hubbies fish was very moist! Will definitely be going back in the not too distant future!
Macfish Notes
If you like a sports bar with friendly, fast service – even with a half hour wait for a table because the place is so popular with meat eaters – then get to Tony Romas. Enjoy a drink at the bar while you're waiting then tuck into a delicious choice of meals that will never let you down. It's loud but that only adds to the impression and atmosphere of an American diner. It's not fine dining. it's good fun. Enjoy a moment here with a few friends. Go on, you know you want to.
Alexandra
Went in for dinner with my husband on Saturday night, half an hour wait... Which is nothing because they looked extremely busy I was excepting at least an hour but the manager knew what he was doing!! and squeezed us straight in.<br/>Lovely waitress Chelsea? Very attentive and took the time to help us out with the menu she had great recommendations as the fillet medallions and the full slab of baby back ribs definitely made our night!! And she also made the time to come back an check on us regularly to refill water and drinks- made our night hassle free!<br/><br/>Recommend big time!!! Best restaurant in the Perth by far!
George
Great ribs. I am still talking about the ribs I had here over a month ago. Don't scrimp and get the short wrack, you'll regret it!
Josephine Hutcheson
Excellent service, food service very fast which made up for the wait for a table - no bookings on Friday nights.<br/>Ribs were delightfully moorish.
Taryn Clarke
Fast friendly service, big delicious meals. Would definitely recommend.
Chris
Very nice and filling
Katii
They don't make their steaks as nice as I have hoped, but the ribs make up for it!! Tony romas ribs are the best! <br/>GREAT SERVICE!!
Kiarra Maynard
Amazing food that was so yummy!<br/> 10/10 food, will be going back!

The food here is AMAZING!! The best chicken and everything, great atmosphere and people and staff, couldnt be more perfect!

This food is absolutely amazing the atmosphere is great and the price is perfect. Couldn't ask for any better

Family Friendly. The staff here are friendly and helpful. No place like coming to dinner and it feels like it's a family affair. The ribs are damn good, we even tried the lamb ribs. The burgers are full and worth their money.<br/>We sure will be a coming back.<br/>thank you

First Time. Last night I visited Tony Roma's for the first time to celebrate a friend's 30th birthday. The food was great, I ordered the Ribeye Steak and it was delicious. The staff were excellent, even going out of their way to create a birthday dessert for us. The manager, Kambiz, was extremely attentive and moved around the restaurant ensuring all guests were well attended to. He is a credit to the establishment.<br/><br/>Overall a fantastic evening, I will definitely be returning.

GREAT SERVICE, GREAT FOOD!!. I have only been to Tony Romas once last year but I cannot wait to go again! Great value for such delicious food. The staff are so friendly. We had Nathan as our waiter and he was fun, efficient and recommend us some good cocktails! There is so much varity of meals and lots to choose from. The only reason I have not been more often is working long hours. Hopefully they will open up some more resturants around Perth!! =)
Sandra Smith
Ribs are best in Perth , cocktails are amazing too , very clean , friendly staff and great service . The bar manager Nathan even made a special cocktail for our party . Will go back for sure.
Sarahhanlon62
Tastiest restaurant in Perth. After reading through some of the reviews below, I felt that I should write one.<br/>The bad critics here are rediculous.<br/>I have been here a few times with my husband and family and the food has been great. YES the ribs are delicious as are the steaks, Firey chicken wings, the onion stack , the chips , potato skins, I could go on and on. <br/>The service has been very good each time. Three staff members in particular (Nathan,Bobby and Omran) make sure you get the best service you could ask for. If you are unhappy about anything, ask for any of them and they will make sure you leave satisfied.
Christopher Hallett
Always enjoyable!. I have visited this restaurant multiple times, and on every occasion the staff have been friendly, attentive and polite, and the food has been excellent, and good value for money. The restaurant is clean, well lit and comfortable, with low noise levels allowing for easy conversation. Their manager Kambiz is a delightful standout in his field, truly an elite professional of customer service.
Jen Pryor
Great food and good value. Staff a little average otherwise a great night!

AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE A PLAGUE!!! I had horrendous bbq experiences before but this place outstinks then all. First time i went there i Ordered the ribs and was soo badly burnt it was not edible. Whats even worse is that it wasnt even cooked! Second time there, the hamburger which was dried and parched like it was left in the sun to "cook". Worse enough as it is already, the price tag is a joke!!! Save your money folks and dine at a restaurant where the "cooks" know how to cook rather than some amateurish young guns think that te concept of bbqing involves taking estimated guesses on when the meat is cooked "right". Avoid this place at all cost!!!
Linh Gilliana Chau
Excellent service, I had made a confusion with my booking but happily let us have a table!! They were extremely friendly and warming, always checking up on us if the food was okay. The food itself is pricey, but definatly worth it. The ribs were well done and tender, except the chicken is very dry and un-pleasant. Come to Tony Roma's for only ribs and steak because they're outstanding. The chicken and the fish were okay meals but nothing special. Would definatly come back to Tony Roma's!! Loved it :)
Roz Grimes
We were soo excited to go to Tony Roma's to try the ribs but were disappointed when we readied to u couldn't book on a Saturday night. The food was nice but that didn't make up for the service, who rushed us to order, pestered us while eating and then rushed us out the door. Not good enough for an expensive meal.
Tamara Loo
Had the fillet medallion rib combo. Food came out faster than expected. Medallions were dry, was forced down the throat. Ribs were also dry and so burnt it was like a slab of charcoal and bone on my plate. Sauce on the ribs were dried out too, seems like microwaved food, thats probably why the food came out so fast. The only good thing was the complimentary bread and spread. Crap expensive food. Do yourself a favour, Make your way to Hippo Creek and get your money's worth.
Coco Coffee Bean
I know you don't go to tiny romas for the salad, but incase you were deciding to DON'T!!!!!! Caesar was lettuce an anchovies tossed nothing else and being someone who can't eat anchovies I was dissapointed that it wasn't stated on the menu. Chips were good but very oily. I wouldn't go here unless I was getting a free meal!
Les
Been three times. 1st burger hugely undercooked. 2nd. Meal was average. 3rd. Felt average. Chips were cold. Upon asking for corn holders response was 'use your hands, we don't have any'!! Wow. Service in Perth shockingly bad in some places. Chefs must have been changed out as its getting emptier by the day. If you want meat, there is only one place to go. And it ends in creek.
Ziggy
Average food for top dollar. Went to Tony Roma's in West Perth. Odered calamari rings with special sauce, was ok. Main meal was fillet medalians tasted good but 3 tiny pieces of steak. The real let down was the extra side of brocoli and mashed potato, obviously pre prepared ages ago as I was surprised how quick the meals came out. When asked by the manager how the meal was and I told him average and expected better quality, he asked if I told one of the waitresses so they can tell the chef. Anyway I am telling the manager and no apologies or further questions, in fact I was then overcharged $36. Not Bad. I have never complained before just wanted value for money. Other patrons seemed to be enjoying themselves though, may be I had a rough night out.
Judgementalbear
Went with work team for lunch. most people seemed happy however my meal choice of the short rib can best be described as a bone wrapped in fat. loaded mash seems to mean an icecreamscoop of reasonable mash with a few bits half heartedly sprinkled on top. flavour hinted at being ok on the few morsels of meat i could retrieve from the fat. glad i wasnt paying
Etangney1
Yummy!. Delicious food, great choice on menu, service great & well worth what you pay for. Would def go back:)
Jim
Hmmm. Tom a punt and tried to go to Tony's last night. Big problem...you can't book. So you drive to the city, can't find a park, pay for parking, walk to the restaurant, then get told its an hour and a half wait. What can you do? There's nothing else around there, and you didn't make a booking elsewhere. If you want to go to Tony's be prepared to wait a long time. Unfortunately the food isn't good enough to wait that long for. They don't make anything that you can't make at home with a little time
Ashe
Good service, you must book. Over priced, over crowded and very noisy. Expensive American style steak, ribs and fried food. No sauces or marinates for the steak, so you get a plain steak with a ordinary basic side salad and a choice of mash or fries. Another $$$ ordinary meal.
Andrea
Yummy ribs! I like the choice of sides and good sized servings. A little on the pricey side, but you don't leave wanted to go through a macca's drive thru so can't complain!
SammieJ
I ate there for lunch today for my sisters birthday. The ribs were delicious as always, and the service was outstanding, best service I've experienced in Perth in a long time
Shari Robinson
Very 'American' chain restaurant with ribs that are delicious and found no where else in Australia so worth trying if you've never had them
Mike Wilson
Love it I go every couple of weeks and the food is fantastic excellent customer service and decent prices the desserts are to die for
Captain Munchie
Get Messy. This place is always a favourite with my crew. I haven't been to the USA but this has got to be the closest thing to it in Western Australia. Tony Roma's is huge and if a table is not available right away you have the opportunity to wait at the front bar and watch some sport, similar to TGI Friday's. The Ribs are to die for and if you dont have BBQ Sauce all over you're face by the end of the meal, then you haven't done it right. Ordering a bucket of Corona is always a novality too. Until next time ... 7/10
Luvie Duvie
Overpriced not too meaty ribs. Inexperienced and ignorant staff ... we were not given any menus. I had to waive so many times before a waiter passed one to me. Ordering was not easy too ... dissapointed at service and the food. Eating ribs is about the meaty ribs and plenty of basting sauce. The ribs was more boney than meaty and it was dry.I have never gone back again after that first visit.
Rich
Over priced, undersized and everything too sweet
Sound
Riiibbbssss!. Ribs. That's all I have to say... well maybe just... YUM!<br/><br/>I probably, most likely, definitely, come here for the ribs.. They are divine, so moist, falls off the bone, yummy marinade.<br/><br/>Worth the wait!
Miss Piggy
Disappointing food but excellent service. It is the third time that i have been to Tony Roma's, and each time consistently, i am disappointed with the food! It is either slow coming out, burnt or just not up to standard in terms of taste.<br/>The only thing which makes up for it is the excellent service and willingness to exclude drinks from the bill.
Lissysand
Skinny. We had Half slab St Loius ribs n beef short spareribs , were no good in quality n quantity. We know most of the meat esp ribs need precooking but they are overcooked here at Tony's n taste like soup meat smeared with sauces n thrown on the grille for a short time. They came out just warm. Hubby vows not to return and this is the 2nd time he is disappointed in this place . Bill came to $99.00 with wine.
Bmi
The ribs and the service was good, however there are a lot of other pubs and restaurants that do equal if not better ribs for a lot cheaper
FoodLover
One of the Best. I went here with a group of friends last Friday night and it was awesome fun. The staff were so friendly and fun. We even had a few jokes with the waiters. The food was delicious. I had the steak medalians which were cooked exactly how I liked them (most restaurants over cook their meat I have noticed) and the sauces were delisious. My boyfriend got the ribs which were to die for! Our desserts were missing oreos (they ran out) so the waiter kindly put chocolate chips on in stead, a lovely touch and great customer service. All in all I loved this place to bits and we will all be back many times!
Aaron
Go for the ribs, stay for the dessert!. Definitely not cheap but by far the best ribs in town! I have tried a few other mains but the ribs are definitely the outright winner, expect large portions! The staff are really friendly and the Volcano dessert is awesome. One warning is that the drinks are pretty expensive but overall an awesome experience!
Vanessa
Really disappointed with this place thought it was going to be like a real American steak house except Australian prices food takes forever to come and just feels chucked together
Ms Persia
Great food. Been here a few times, and its consistently been good food with big portions, I have tried the ribs, pasta and the asian salad with grilled chicken and never left disappointed. Service has always been great too regardless of how busy they are.
Adam Stirling
Dissapointed. I was looking forward to a meal here with a freind who flew in from out of town. I ordered a steak cooked medium but it arrived completely well done. My friend ordered the ribs which were ok but once again way overcooked and tough. The desserts were ok.
Michael Waldie
You can book! Only not on Friday & Saturdays I believe. These couple of reviews that have complained about this may not have been told by the staff, luckily I was the first time I contacted them. If the had have known, perhaps they may have book for say a Thursday night, like I did for my birthday, even though it was on a Saturday night. Been here numerous times & love it!
Baggy Bear
Very good ribs excellent service at lunchtime can recommend this

Don't bother. We were a party of 6 adults and one child (3yo). We were told over the phone that although bookings were not taken, if we arrived early, we would be seated. We explained it was a family occasion. We arrived early, but were told we could not be seated. It was at least an hour's wait. With a 3 year old? I don't think so. There was a vacant table for 6, but apparently we could not have it. It was raining; we had parked in a multi-storey car park. We explained our situation, but the guy at reception couldn't have cared less. So, Tony Romas, don't assure people on the phone that if you come early enough, you can get a table - obviously you can't. We rang Outback Jacks from Tony Romas. We booked a table, drove there, parked easily and had a great night. I won't be wasting my time ever trying to get a meal at Tony Romas again. Once biten, twice shy.
Amy Jones
Soooo disappointed!!. So I chose Tony Roma's to go for my birthday with my family. My friend rang the day before to book for 8 people and was told they don't take bookings, but if we get there around 6 it'll be fine. Arrived at 5:45 and was told they were full and there was an hour wait!!!!!! Could not believe it. Saw empty tables but apparently they could not accommodate us because we were a large group, so we said bugger them and left! Phoned Outback Jacks in Northbridge and they were happy to reserve a table for us. Arrived and seated straight away, great service and fabulous food...thinking back to my last meal at Tony Roma's - this was better! And here I thought it was the other way around!! Better prices, friendlier staff, Outback Jacks definitely my choice for next time!!
Mickamy
Tony Roma's the boners...what was that...I didn't hear you?. My partner and I decided to give this place a try after hearing great reviews. It was a Friday night and we arrived there without a booking..didn't matter anyway as we were told they don't take bookings on Friday or Saturday nights...huh!!! Anywyay , we had the luck of the Irish that night as we didn't even have to wait for a table even tho' it was as busy as street peddler selling face masks in Tokoyo. We were kindly ushered to our seats and left to ponder over the menu. It has a great selection to choose from and while perusing over the menu I couldn't help noticing the waiters passing by with other patrons plates. Boy , talk about feeling like I was in the "Flintstones" cartoon..the size of the ribs on these plates were like half a Brontosaurus rib cage!! Even tho' we decided not to order the customary ribs (next time we will for sure), we had the steak medallions & the pan seared salmon. Both were so tasty it was like having a circus in your mouth! Complimentary warm bread was a treat as it went down well with the meals. Our waitress (Kate) was very friendly and had the decency to chat to us for a while which was pleasing..I can see now why she won the Employee of the year last year. The only thing was the ambience..what ambience?? It was like eating a meal in the middle of Times Square on New Years Eve...The place badly needs sound absorbing floors and decor. It was so noisy with patrons in there that I even had a bowl of "loud mouth soup" without even ordering it! I suppose if your going to get a serving like it's from the stone age , you need to eat it in a cave! None the less , it you want a great feed to fill that over sized punsa of yours , give this place a go. You will be staggering out of there with your stretched belly in a wheelbarrow! Saboo & Tinker will be back for sure...but next time we will be wearing ear plugs and communicating to one another by sign language. Bon Apetite....the ribs look sweet!
Jeremy Camplin
OMG St Louis Ribs with smoky BBQ sauce where have you been all my life!? Service was very attentive; 9.5/10 by Perth standards. In the Entertainment book as well :)
Sheryl
Disappointing! For an up market steak house, vegetables consisted of limp broccoli -probably frozen- and the coleslaw was bland supermarket calibre. Waitress could be taught to smile - after all the clientele are what's keeping her in her job! Not worth a repeat visit.
Christine Lim
Nice ribs. The beef ribs are real tasty, the pork ribs are tasty too but just a bit too saucy, hated the onion loaf though, soaked in oil , so oily and soft but my friends love them haha
SandM
Food was ok. Steaks were nice but side of vegetables consisted of one whole broccoli head. <br/>Waitstaff didn't know the menu. <br/>drinking glasses were dirty. <br/>Front of house guy was charismatic and friendly. Shame his staff weren't more like him.
Soccerstar_69_3
I went in there with my bother and my cousin they where talking up about tony's and saying best ribs and all that i must say the ribs very nice chicken very nice 2 BUT the short ribs where yuk my misses got the short ribs coz she is preg and it was braised thinking it would be cooked throw and it was. But there a differences from well done to bloody burnt there was no favor in the meat no seasoning and burnt on the top she might as well eaten coal ! and also for the family fiesta of whatever its called was way to small for 2 people y give a nice size rack of ribs then give a really small rack of ribs for the other person portion control people come on for me i would not go back to eat there but thank you for trying tony !
Kitstar
Nothing special. The first time I went my friend's medium rare steak had to be returned 3 times (first time it wasn't just pink, it was blood red and raw inside, the second time the same, the third time it came back well done and tough). <br/><br/>I had the ribs which were ok but didn't fall off the bone, and couldn't compare to the ribs I had at Hurricanes in Sydney once.<br/><br/>Second time I ate there reluctantly. My friend paid $20+ for the tiniest burger I've ever seen. She said it was tasty, but Jus Burgers is much better value for money. I didn't want to pay $20+ for lunch, so opted for the beans (which, while small, were actually very nice) and the fresh vegetable. They're not kidding when they use the word vegetable in the singular. I got 6 salty bite sized florets of broccoli for $5. I could buy and boil an entire head of broccoli for far less than that, and not have to drink 2L of water afterwards to dilute the salt. Yuck.

Best ribs ever!!! And huuuuuge yummy cocktails. Books out on a Friday night so make a reservation. 8.5/10

4 out of 10, not going back!. We went with voucher from groupon for $59 for 2 on the weekend for lunch, I was a bit disappointed when they only allowed us to choose THE ORIGINAL BABY BACK RIBS (half ) or SONOMA SALAD or Mojo chicken or Prawn Scampi pasta or the cheapest burger on the menu. <br/>I wish groupon explained this on the voucher. As we don't eat pasta, chicken breast or pork! I feel deceived, I wish I didn't pay for this deal, $59 is a lot of money if you don't like the food. <br/><br/>Anyway we chose Mojo chicken and burger. <br/>Burger was dry, we found no sauce inside the bun. I prefer burger edge for this! <br/><br/>The breast was ok, but not that good. <br/><br/>At the end, we didn't finish our lunch... I ate 1/4 of the breast and my husband 3/4 of the burger.
Tanya Brown
So Fast!. Came here tonight with my boyfriend for our weekly Sunday night meal. We both couldn't believe how busy it was and we were told we would have to wait for a table due to not booking...oops! But the wait was not 20 minutes as we were told but only about 10 and we were able to sit and drink at the bar til then. <br/>All staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout the entire experience. Our drinks came very quickly and the food took what seemed about 5 minutes! I ordered the chicken and vegetable salad which came with toasted flat bread covered in cheese...yucky, I did not eat this. The salad however was nice and fresh except it was home quality with normal ice berg lettuce and a few veggies. The chicken was grilled to perfection. <br/>My boyfriend ordered chicken and lemon pasta which he said was very yum. He scoffed it down. The only minus would be the amount of cheese used on top. We are both not cheese fans! <br/>Oh I nearly forgot the complimentary bread. This was fresh, crusty and the garlic butter was delicious. <br/>We are going to make this our Sunday night regular! No more The Melbourne thanks to their constant menu changes.
Naylien
Always an awesome meal here... I've been to Tony Roma's a few times and I love it - I actually even tried one in the US and it wasn't as good as the one in Perth!! must be something to do with our tasty pork ribs. They just weren't the same in America!<br/><br/>Always get great service here.. its a little bit pricey but the portion sizes are massive - very nice meal
Tamaiya
Birthday meal. Organised a birthday meal treat and was looking forward to a usually delicious serving of ribs but after a 90 min wait with the waitress who kept apologising and my table still not receiving any food, we were disappointed. It wasn't even a busy evening with many tables empty! I managed to get a complimentary drink for the birthday boy but nothing was offered for the rest of our guests. For a $400 bill they could have at least offered free soft drinks for the kids!!! Almost 2 hours after we arrived did the food finally reach the table. We should have left but it was a special occasion and after 9pm what other place was open that would cater for 8 people? service 1/10 food 9/10 price 3/10
Lauren Jane
I have definitely had better ribs at my local high wycombe tav!!! And cheaper!! The ribs were nice but I've just had better! The Asian green chicken salad was just a bowl of lettuce with some wonton skins and capsicum... Hmmm wouldn't come back!
Emj121
Really delish!. I went here with my hubby on Friday night. They dont take bookings on a Friday and Saturday so we grabbed a drink and waited in the bar. We only waited about 20 mins before we got our table which was better than expected.<br/>We were served complimentary break with garlic and herb butter, our glasses were filled with water and we were left with the menues for about 5 mins.<br/>Our waitress returned and took our orders.<br/>We had the half onion loaf to start which was sooo yummy but sooo naughty! <br/>For mains my hubby had the st louise ribs with the blue ridge smoke, they were so yummy and the smoke wasnt<br/>too overpowering which i loved.<br/>I had the medalions and half baby back ribs in original. The medallions were cooked perfectly medium rare and the ribs fell off the bone. My only complaint would be that the medallions were tiny, one was no bigger then two 50c pieces next to each other. I still couldnt finish the whole meal but i could see how that would tick a few people off.<br/>Apart from that the service was good, yes it was loud but its an american style rib house so thats kind of the style. <br/>All in all it was expensive but we would go back again because the ribs were so yum
Matt Lawrence
Bloody good ribs time and again. I cant speak for the rest of the food but if you like ribs this is the Place.
Kirsty7
Super yum, super service - just one critisism that they didnt open on Australia day - very disappointing!!!
Steve Adamson
VERY OVERATED. This place is very overated... Food was simply ok.. nothing more, but extremely basic considering how much you pay for it. I can think of plenty of other restaurants that serve better foor for more reasonable prices. Not for me!
Restaurateur Of WA
Very expensive but nice food. Salad was plain but bread was nice
Gem
Delish!. Have been to Tony Roma's before and was impressed for the second time. The ribs are melt in your mouth, meat falling off the bone. We ordered the "family feast" for 2 and it came out in literally 5 minutes! Very generous serving but we demolished it :)
Jade Alex
Good food, good service. Is a bit pricey, the ribs are good definitely worth trying
Meg Coffey
YUM!. Finally had the chance to check out Tony Roma's after years of walking by and smelling the sweet scent of BBQ wafting through the air. I must say I was not disappointed. <br/><br/>The service was average. I'm a stickler for service and I'm very rarely impressed with what I see in Perth. This was no better or worse than anywhere else. I did note about 6 different people waited on us.<br/><br/>We ordered the sampler to start and split a full rack of the original ribs. I definitely felt a heart attack coming on by the time we finished but it was just so delightful. The meat fell off the ribs and the sauce was amazing.<br/><br/>I will definitely go back to Tony Roma's again and again. Everything about it screams America and I love it.
FoodKritq
Defintely the crappiest experience i have had in this place and av been here a few times. The concierge/head waiter/maitre'd was rude and unhelpful from the start. The table placement was unsuitable and even with free tables around he would not change the table. Glasses were dirty and a request to change them was met with a bang off the wine bottle ala water canister on the water table. 45 mins later the chewiest ribs came out of the kitchen. What a bad experience all round....
Todd
I like the food at Tony Roma's when it is good but it is hit and miss. Their ribs are great when not over cooked but the service is consistently bad. Slow service, poor Englishand at times blatant rudeness from the wait staff is painful and the drinks are on the expensive side.
Food Fan
The ribs are so worth it!. I've always liked Tony Roma's for their consistently good food.<br/> Last time I went (about a month or two ago), we had to wait for a table for 4 for 30 minutes, which is ok I guess considering that we didn't book, although it was a wednesday night. Service at the beginning wasn't great, but the wait staff were great. I got to try their ribs for the first time, which I was scared that I wouldn't get full but turns out I was stuffed afterwards. I had the st louis ribs with carolina honeys sauce. The ribs were so good, and so tender, they just fell off the bone! So delicious. For dessert, we all shared a Chocolate Avalanche which was SO delicious.<br/><br/>I've also had the BBQ half chicken before, which was pretty good, too. The potato skins are also great, and of course the onion loaf is soo good (but so fatty!). <br/><br/>Would soooo go again for the ribs. Yum!
Richo
Ribs!. Never had anything but the ribs - and they are great. Can't speak for the rest - but great ribs.
LisaFio
Tony Romas used to be great but I won't be going back. Ordered the Fillet and Ribs combo and the fillet looked like a piece of lunch steak cut it half. They were tiny - like little beef nuggets. When I questioned whether they were beef fillets, the waitress came back from the kitchen saying they were so small because I asked for them well done and they'd shrunk. I asked to speak to the manager who was rude and condescending. He said they'd make more which, after waiting 15 mins, I told them to cancel the order. Even when we paid, he continued to be rude and tried to justify their lack of quality and continued to express that we were wrong. Overall, it was overpriced average food and we'll be finding a new steakhouse.

Not impressed. Made the table wait for our mains for 50 mins before the dishes were served. The table next to us was served before we were, though they came 20 mins after! The meal was not good. The filets were overcooked and overladened with gravy. Do not like when kitchens drowned such quality cuts of meat with gravy. It is atrocious. Everyone's dishes were equally overladen with gravy. Not necessary. Barely a cut above hog's breathe.
Carole Marsh
Terrible meal. Wouldn't return, average at best and expensive.
ZMIX
Below expectation comparing to what they charge for!! The cocktail prawn for entree was great. The main course pork rib was burn and no meat. So we decided not for dessert.

Tony Romas Simply the Best. On a regular basis due to a lot of business meeting I would always go to Tony Romas. Why you ask because great service, food and it comes out just before the business meeting is over. Great atmosphere, variety of selection and location is just faboulous and took my wife and daughter there and now its a monthly event.

Good for "chain restaurant" food. I'm not a huge meat eater but went for a friends birthday. We ordered a dip which was a joke. It was $15 and didn't get much more than a thimble full of dip. The freshly cooked cornchips that came with it were really good though. I ordered the prawn fettuccine and that was actually surprisingly good. My partner was very happy with his ribs, they were very tasty. Service was terrible, had to wave wildly for any waiters to approach and take an order.

More a Rip-Off than a Rib-Eye.. Read the reviews about the ''enormous'' sized steaks here. Well, enormous maybe if you're used to eating bird-seed as part of your daily diet. True carnivores need look elsewhere. Our waiter could barely speak any English and had trouble interpreting the subtle nuances of things like ''gravy'' and ''gluten free''. We had an even harder time trying to understand him in return. <br/><br/>The meagre serving of steak almost 40 bucks was more of a ''rip-off'' than a ''rib-eye''. The side servings were a joke and the meat was undercooked. To fill the void left by the steak, I then ordered an overpriced burger that was no bigger than anything on offer on the McDonald's Kids menu. At $25 for a teeny-tiny burger, I had to admire the balls on Tony to charge the prices he did. <br/><br/>Still left hungry by the end, I was forced to make the obligatory trip to Mcdonalds to fill the void, because hey, where else is open in Perth to eat after 9pm?
Bottomless Pit
Spoiled. Having bought spare ribs from The Meat Safe in Subi and bbq'd them at home, I was disappointed that Tony Roma's did not live up to my expectations. I was expecting something on par to my home cooked ribis and these were well short of the mark.
Zoooo
Burger was burnt/charcol on the outside while raw in the middle. Maybe the kitchen needs to do some work experience at hungry jacks. Ill definatley stick to the burgers at fast eddys as they seem to be the only establishment in the area that knows how to cook a burger patty
BU22ER
Ribs were good. Service was fine. Had to wait for a table but my ribs were delivered within 5min of ordering. Ribs just fell off the bone!
JJ
Too noisy. Soooo loud, smoked ribs were still so incredibly sweet and fake tasting so I didn't really enjoy them. and very expensive.
Victoria
I LOVEEE THE RIBSS!. I love the ribs and grilled chicken- absolutely scrumptious.. It actually makes me hungry typing this now. They had a deal with coles before and it works so well. However, I can't seem to find the deal anymore- BOO! <br/><br/>Will definitely come back more often if my favourite dish is around the price of $30 range. =)

Ribbed... for my pleasure. This was my second visit to Tony Romas. Both times there has been roughly a half hour wait. After we were seated, we ordered drinks and 10 minutes later ordered our mains. The service this time was quite good, unlike the first visit. Ive noticed it can be hit or miss. <br/>I ordered their specialty, the Ribs (St. Louis Ribs). If you're not planning on ordering the ribs, there is no point coming to Romas because the dishes are quite pricey (but they are generous) and I wasnt overly impressed with the steak.<br/>Food arrived and wow... the ribs... were absolutely delicious. Possibly the best ribs Ive had (a big call, I know). I got corn on the cob and mash as my sides and the corn was quite sweet and tasty. I was impressed. There is an option to get a doggy bag of what you dont finish, so thats another positive. <br/>For dessert, I ordered the chocolate avalanche. Again, i loved it. <br/>Overall, I recommend eating here. Be aware that most times you will have to wait to be seated and I reiterate, if you dont plan to get ribs, dont bother at all.
Tom
Seriously Sh*thouse. Don't bother unless you love ribs. Everything else is as expensive as any top restaurant and terrible.
John Doyle
Meat fest!. For those who love generous portions of meat - you MUST go to Tony Romas. The ribs are amazing and cannot be beaten *drools* <br/><br/>This place is always busy, even on weekdays....showing just how popular it is.
Mathew Tinson
Ribs! :). Food was Delicious!<br/>The place to go if you want ribs!<br/>Service was terrible though :(<br/>But the food made it worthwhile
Steve's A Big Foodie
Sitting on the fenceline. I ate here today for a business lunch, with the food theme based on good old American style eating. I had the steak burger which was approx $23. the steak patty and bun itself was quite small and the coleslaw looked pretty miserable, however the chips were good , and some of the other food that my fellow workers ordered looked fantastic.<br/>To be quite honest the burgers at Dirty Nelly's walk all over the burger I had in respects to serving portions and value for money. Not a bad place to eat at but nothing to rave about either
Miss M - Just Tasting
Great atmosphere/music, service and equally great food! After being told it may be upto an hours wait for a table, we walked over to the lively bar. Bar staff were friendly. Not even finishing the first drinks, we were then called to be seated :) We saw our regular waiter,V, and again received fabulous service! The food was fresh and tasty... ** I recommend the succulent Fire Wings, St.Lou ribs and baked potato!! Looking forward to my next visit!
Dmouse
Tasty food but not good value. Pros: Friendly staff, tasty food<br/>Cons:Loud music (rap, hip-hop and salsa), confusing menu prices/options, and poor value for money - expensive for what you get.<br/><br/>OK, once in a while, but wouldn't go regularly.
The Sweet Tooth
Yumm. Love the ribs!! AND coleslaw!!!! My meat-only-earter friend loves its coleslaw too!! The onion loaf is a must try!

I have had some great Tony Romas experiences overseas but the Perth restaurant just didn't cut it. Ordered well done 3 cuts of fillet mignon... One was perfect, one was medium rare and one was charcoal. Very disappointed as I was expecting the same quality I was used to. Will give it another go... Might have just been an off day!
Belinda
Not Bad. Restaurant is VERY loud even for a food chain I'm young and don't mind a little noise but it was hard to have a conversation with our friends over the table I should of ordered the steak and ribs as the others thought this was nice, I ordered the prawn pasta which was pretty bland. Not bad, wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again as I live NOR
Angela
Yummy ribs!!!. When you go to tony roma's, one dish you MUST try is their ribs!!! It's like their signature dish!! Though to note, the quality of their dishes sometimes vary depending on the day and time you go; but generally they are pretty good! =D Their desserts are very yummy as well! They have average cocktails, which is okay.. because if you want to drink.. there are plenty of bars and things nearby that serve much better cocktails. Recommended for birthdays, causal dining and catch up sesh =D

Tony Romas best. We went to Tony Romas restaurant.<br/>I had ribs and chips since it said that it was famous.<br/>The ribs were delicious! I could eat it every day.<br/>I think the staff need to upgrade the toilets because <br/>In the boys toilets there is only one toilet.<br/>I think the chefs have to check the food because my<br/>mums steak was uncooked but it was fixed. When we<br/>went in the manager commented on my mums scarf<br/>because it shows that he is trying to make us <br/>comfortable that shows good service.<br/>I would recommend Tony Romas for everyone!
Nic
Fantastic!. This was a spur of the moment decision to have dinner here, but my partner and I were not disappointed. Prompt and friendly service. Excellent, but expensive cocktails. We never had to try and flag a waitress or waiter down and our waitress was fantasic, she brought us some fresh hot bread with a side dish of garlic butter to nibble on while we browsed the menu, started with a half size of the onion loaf which comes with a smokey BBQ dipping sauce - WOW! My partner had the St Louis sampler which consisted of 4 different marinaded ribs and he chose to have coleslaw and mash potato, I ordered the Steakhouse burger, which tasted just like the burgers I used to eat in the States, the rosemary bacon was to die for, the fries were seasoned and a side of coleslaw. It cost $157 for 5 cocktails, the starter and 2 mains (the alcohol cost more than the food), but it was worth every penny, we left there completely full, happy and planning our return. What a wonderful surprise it turned out to be and there are quite a few restuarants in Perth that could really learn something from their great staff, service, cleanliness and bloody good food. Haven't stopped raving about this place to everyone we know and will definitely be back and back and back!

Let down. <br/>Portions have shrunk hideously and service has hit rock bottom. We even had to ask for steak knives...Table next to us got constant attention and drink refills while we got nothing. Won't be back for a long time.

Average ribs .... We ordered the onion rings. I couldn't remember how big it was because the last time I went was in 2007. The waiter described it to us and we decided to order the large one, it ended up being bigger than we thought! We also ordered the smokey ribs to share with chips on the side (my favourite) and caesar salad.<br/><br/>We started off our meal with some of their bread with garlic butter. By the time we almost finished the onion rings, we were stuffed. The ribs were ok…to be honest, even though Tony Roma's is a rib/steak house, I still prefer The Bridge's ribs (on Canning Highway). The caesar salad was pretty nice as well.
Jaysunn1708
Average, not bad definitely not great.. Servings were so small! I ordered a regular serve of ribs (thinking the portions were going to be quite decent), with fries and coleslaw and I couldn't believe how miniscule the serving was (If that was regular I can't imagine what a "small" serving would be, You're paying close to $40 for the meal at least be generous on the fries and slaw..) Also the ribs were a bit too charred for my liking. With that out of the way, I must admit I loved the buffalo wings and onion loaf. <br/><br/>Overall I was disappointed.I'm happy to pay $40 for some ribs, but at least make it worth it. Service and ambiance was average, So I really don't know what you are paying for.. =\
My Tastebuds
Great food & atmosphere. Thank goodness we got one here in Perth! I love going here for some finger licking ribs! 2 things they could work on, is a more generous serve of fries & there cocktails are kind of weak (as in alcohol). Other than that you wont be dissapointed. It's at a lovely spot in Perth, it's open airy & modern.
Tan
Serves too small. Went there for my bday with 10+ people expecting american sized serves (given the expensive price) but all steaks and ribs wouldnt feed a 3 y/o. They need to triple the serving sizes for that price before i go back. (im only average size 71kg, 173cm and i needed 2 mains)
Cat Miller
Loved it. Super fast service and friendly staff. Food was amazing.
Mztiff
Great steakhouse at an affordable price. With many people saying Tony Romas isn't that great I was a little skeptical when we came for a late dinner one night. However I was quietly surprised with their generous servings and quality of food all at a reasonable price. The ribs had just the right amount of meat and sauce ratio and my partner's steak was perfectly cooked. I would definitely come back here to try the buffalo wings, steak and onion loaf!
Pris
Just go for the Meat n Ribs. I'm not a regular but I do come once every 3-6 months. <br/><br/>I love the ribs. I particularly like the flavour of their beef ribs too. For some weird reason I crave for their onion loaf whenever I feel like something greasy. <br/><br/>BUT I've tried their salad once and never again. It was so horrid I wiped the name out of my memory. It comes with beans - the leaves were old, the chicken in it was its only savior. <br/><br/>I'll stick to meat and ribs. <br/><br/>Cocktails and desserts here are good too!
Jsnggh
Service was average. Had different waiters all night. Food was ok rib sampler all tasted the same. Mashed potato wasn't mashed. Pretty expensive but on a positive note meat was tender and tasty on the ribs.
Jason Horton
Good Food. I have been here a few times and despite the service being aweful on all but one occasion the food does make the effort worth your while. The sizes of the servings are very generous. The size of the fries serve is too big despite the meal being placed onto a large plate. I will still go back but hope that one day the plastic nature of the service is improved and I am not subjected to a parade of multiple waiters. One that was constant would work better.
Michael B
Bacon Cheeseburger at $22.50 was undersized & kind if bland. Asked for extra crispy bacon but this was ignored. Stick with the dedicated burger places & get a much better meal for 2/3 the price.
Oscar
Onion loaf was intense, meals were both huge & delicious. Bar was nice but average value overall.
Jack
By far the best ribs I've ever had (even on an international scale)
Tryhardmattpreston
My partner and I decided to try Tony Roma's last night after walking past on several previous occasions. The ribs were very enjoyable but probably not worthy of a rave review! The staff were attentive but seemed to struggle to understand us. Overall not bad, I'm sure we'll be back one day. 3 stars.
Tallyho09
Great food, terrible service!. The fantastic food keeps us coming back but we have learnt to order EVERYTHING at once from the first waitress that comes along - you never know when they will return!<br/>Drink service very poor and prices pretty steep but overall food is very yummy. I never have room for dessert...
Trashglam
Average Food. Average Service. Feel fat after eating there.
Js0n1
A sure winner. Good location, nice looking place and the food is really good. I prefer the short ribs over the baby backs, to me they seem juicier and more meaty. You gotta try the onion loaf too!
Holly Doll
The food is awesome. We shared a platter that came with everything and enjoyed all. I highly reccomend the onion loaf thing and the bucket of Caronas. What a way to wash down third ribs!!
WoZ
Take-away GOLD. If you like/love your ribs then you simply have to try the baby back ribs that come out of this kitchen!<br/><br/>This time we did 'takeaway' and the ribs were particularly sumptuous. I have noted that the side serves have decreased somewhat in size but still the ribs are clearly the main attraction here.<br/><br/>I would highly recommend this meaty experience and tip my hat to anyone else that attempts the chocolate Sundae post full slab ;)
Robin And Amanda
Best Ribs. I have eaten here on many occasions ordering the ribs or ribs & steak combo, I have never had a bad meal. The steaks are always tender and ribs portions more than adequate and very tender. The service could do with some improvement when they are busy. If you are looking for good value steak & ribs then I give this restaurant the thumbs up
Eight Seconds Of Food
Go for the ribs. Ribs were great but the steak was very plain.
Clindy
Pretty average. Not nearly as tasty as the ones in the states and pretty overpriced.
Adrienne McNamara
OMG!!! Cannot believe that restaurants like this still can operate and exist,. Went with a number of American friend who were yearning for a taste of home. The service was abysmyl. Food diabolical. I cannot believe that even Sizzler could be any worse. Most disgusting, disappointing, miserable service and food ever experienced in 25 years of eating out!!!
Bel
I just don't get it. The place was packed on a Saturday night so it must be pretty well liked. The service was non existant. We eventually managed to order our food but trying to get a second round of. drinks was an effort. Half of our table of eight ended up giving up and drinking water. We worked out that with a couple of extra staff they could cover the wages with the drinks orders! The food was just ok. We had a rib eye steak that was really fatty and cooked well done although it was supposed to be medium rare. The ribs were rated not bad. The caeser salad was pathetic to put it midly. Lucky they did not charge us for if as we were going to refuse to pay for it. And they obviously do not have deserts or coffees as after trying to get someone attention for thirty minutes we gave up and got the bill instead. And the group moved to subi for deserts and coffee. We will not be going back.
Bobby Bauer
EXCELLENT. This place is awesome, quite a bit of american influence, but very welcome influence at that, we were greeted by a friendly waiter, who was real easygoing & not fake, went through all the options with us, hooked us up with a bucket of coronas and a couple tasting plates, then the ribs and steaks that followed were absolutly 5 star, i will be back again. HIGHLY RECCOMENDED.
JellyBean
When in Rome.. After waiting over an hour for our meals around the corner at another place we decided to leave & came across Tony Romas. We were met by very friendly staff and were eating within 15 minutes. It's a rib n steak house, it has what you'd expect and the food is tasty. When you're in a carnivorous mood I definately recommend this place :)
Paige Berdal
Tasty ribs. The foods pretty good here, if not a little bit expensive ( I think they've factored in the exchange rate with the US when coming up with them!) however the acoustics are awful. It's really loud and you feel like you're talking inside a vaccuum. Very strange. Maybe some soft furnishings would help tp absorb the sound!
Sovereign
It is what it is... A solid steak and rib joint. Service is friendly but lacking attention to detail. Servings are good. Great for a family dinner but not a place for a date! I'm told that rib sauce up to your elbows is a bit of a turn off!
Eatlikeme
Meat lovers heaven!!. Well there is not enough words to describe the sensation of us carnivores when a plate full of ribs was delivered to our table! its glorious!!!! Food is great here, we are glad tony roma's finally opened in Perth! Good value and great for meat lovers! They have a range of decent cocktails and its family friendly! Make sure you stop by ..
Bernie
Best ribs in Perth.
Harvey Farrington
Average and pricey. I have eaten at a number of Tony Roma's oversea's. The Perth version worth a visit once but too pricey and poor value to make this a regular haunt. Size of venue also lacks atmosphere at night when empty mid week once city workers have deserted the city.
Greg Bell
Personally, overall, I was dissapointed. My girlfriend ordered the rib eye steak medium rare, which was drier than it should have been. My medium rare sirloin was overcooked. The BBQ chicken was good though and I enjoyed the half onion loaf, though it's too much for 1 person. The frozen margaritas were good and also a good size. However these did not make up for the overcooked steak. So I can't rate Tony's well. 3 stars.
JB
Love it love it love it. Best place for steak in Perth. Great atmosphere. Great value.
Too Munch To Handle
Each rib tore away from the rack with ease, which just hinted to how perfectly cooked and juicy the meat was. The BBQ sauce was sweet, sticky and slightly smokey. I can see why these ribs are world famous, they are quite easily the best I’ve tried in Perth.
Mmmjustlovely
Now to the ribs! Now if you ever go here to eat ALWAYS ORDER THE RIBS! Going to a rib place and not ordering is idiotic at best, oh and vegetarians beware this place is not for the faint of heart, if you can’t stand the sight of anyone eating meat do not come here. There’s no way you can avoid seeing the average carnivore gnawing the flesh of ribs! Hopefully I haven’t scared you with that imagery!
Hungryagainperth
Food options are plentiful but personally I would recommend coming here for the ribs and eat eat eat enough to risk death-by-meat. Vegetarians will shake their head at this place and all the sights of meat could also cause them death-by-meat. I don't remember too many Vego options but you can't blame that, should you choose to visit a place who specialises in meat and would probably have to sabotage a crap load of animals to keep up to their renowned famous ribs. <br/><br/>
Queen Of Bad Timing
Vegetarians look away. No really, I mean it because this post is all about meat. Or more specifically, ribs. When you sit down in the impressively large but family friendly restaurant to peruse the menu, the page displaying the various rib options has this across the top: This is the stuff legends are made of. How right they are because Tony Roma's is very much famous for their delicious, American cuisine of ribs and other delicious food items. The servings here are huge; the prices slightly expensive but not too bad when you consider just how big the portions are.
IMasticate
Likes: best American-style ribs in Perth; Dislikes: stingy with free bread, serving size of ribs shrunk a little; Value for money: reasonable

The fiery chicken wings at Tony Romas aren’t too hot to handle but still pack in heaps of flavour. I enjoyed it so much I saved some on my white t-shirt for later. The warm chicken salad had that Tex/Mex touch with cheesy tortilla bread and I enjoyed the tangy dressing with the roasted vegetables. It wasn’t amazing but it added a healthy touch to this saucy meal. The smoky ribs never fail to be messy and as such I had my lipstick smeared over my face like a moustache. Another rookie error on my behalf, bright lipstick and ribs do not make a fashion statement. Thank goodn
The Hungry Reporter
...quality of food was brilliant. It was definitely worth breaking the yearly Sizzler tradition and I will be back at Tony Roma’s for a meat fix very soon!
Janice Kho
As usual Tony Romas served up some delicious ribs & sauce. However, from the looks of it serving size has dropped in size compared to 6 months ago. Rumor has it that the menu had a bit of a revamp. The mash was missing its usual cheese, bacon and chives topping. The cowslaw serving size was significantly smaller. Because of this, I think it isn’t as much of a value-for-money meal that it once was.
Juji Chews
With our drinks ordered and bellies at the ready, we started with an appetizer sampler ($21.90) - a perfect choice for four, with molten-centred mozzarella sticks (served with marinara sauce), fire wings (with blue cheese dressing)...
Perth Munchkin
So I stuck with Tony’s Recommendation and went for the most “dainty’ serve available, a half slab of The Original Baby Back Ribs ($32.00) – Tender, lean pork loin meat, basted with Tony Roma’s Original BBQ sauce. Around the tables the fellas favoured a Regular Slab for $38.50 or for those with an even bigger appetite you can get a Full Slab for $44.50. With the ribs you got coleslaw and then you choice of another side. I kept things easy and locked in the Beer Battered Fries, but other options were Rice, Broccoli, Mashed Potato, Baked Potato or Corn on the Cob.
Foodie Cravings
Potato skins ($14.95)…potato, cheese and bacon goodness topped with sour cream... had my own special creamy potato, bacon and chives soup ($6.50), it was so good and what good value! St Louis Ribs...
Shaun
The pulled pork sandwich was plentiful, moist, succulent and with the sticky sweet sauce, so yum. I really loved the golden brown chips which required just a little more salt and the coleslaw, albeit a bit too sweet, was tasty too. A really generous and filling meal.
The Food Pornographer
According to their website, the first Tony Roma’s opened in North Miami, Florida back in 1972. They now have nearly 200 restaurants in 33 countries.

Tony Romas is suppose to have the best ribs in Perth and I've heard many raves about how generous their servings are and how delicious the ribs are!! Tony Roma is situated on Hay street, near the BP building and opposite Box Deli it's actually rather room
