Review Corica Pastries - Perth

Fayiza Shakir
A quaint little place in Northbridge - home of the world famous Apple Strudel in Perth. Very friendly staff. Though there's no place to dine in, it's totally fine- they've freshly made pre-packaged pastries and biscuits which you can stop by and pick up. The full Apple Strudel that serves 6- is quite long and retails for 28$ and the smaller size which serves 2 retails for 18$. We thought that the Strudel would be quite sweet and heavy but it was absolutely PERFECT. Crisp light and flaky layers of pastry with cream that is so yum and light and melts in the mouth. The best part was the little crunchy bits of apple, hidden in every bite like little golden treasures. It is an absolute must-try!

Love blueberry strudels here, best strudel ever. They have a small strudel now, very convenient for us. Staff was very friendly and other dessert also delicious too. 👍🏻 The strudel was very crunchy on the outside and inside soft and creamy.

We frequent this place since 30yrs ago & still a must have whenever we’re here in Perth. It’s the best Apple strudel w
Amanda Mitchell
Extremely dry and below average apple strudel. Utterly over priced!! They are banking on their gimmick of 'best strudel'. It's a lie. $18 for one apple strudel and that was the smallest available. I would not support these guys or recommend to anyone. The service was very rude and stand offish. I did not feel like a valued customer I felt like a pest. Very rude older lady serving. I regret buying. Save your time and money and visit a more tasty and kind local bakery.

Like many others, I too am reviewing the business based on their amazing apple strudels. They have always been served at our major family gatherings. The staff are also great and are always very friendly and polite.

Coricos is always fresh and delicious. Their apple strudel is tops. Their record their phone orders are on scraps of paper and guess what my phone order. Guess what ? They could not find my order considering I ordered other items. They had some "spares" in their fridge cabinet. Therefore their usual standard of crispy pastry was somewhat a bit soft. This order was for a birthday dinner. 😦

The apple pie is soooo famous and truly delicious. I may will miss it after leaving Perth 🤤
Deanne Batten
The best patisserie in Perth. The presentation is beautiful, I really wanted 1 of everything. The Honey cake was moist & full of spice & sweetness. Ricotta slice is to die for as are the Canoli. Definitely going back for round 2.
Jacqueline Vellacott
I got a croquembouche for my 30th bday cake and it was amazing. Looked fantastic and tasted even better. Large servings and the custard inside was delicious and the toffee on top was crunchy and sweet. Definitely recommend.
Maria Donatelli
Luv this place, the biscuits, cakes etc... always luv it and always will.... one of the best places for cakes and biscuits....
Emma Williams
The apple strudel is to die for!! Incredibly yummy
Aimee Murphy
Still the best Apple Strudel in Perth! Flaky Pastry, Creamy Custard and Tasty Apple. Drooooool!!!!
Clarice Antero
Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the croquembouche and apple strudel at our event! Thank you so much :)
Cheryl Rapira
I treat my clients with packets of Corica biscuits and help spread Corica love. Best vanilla slice on the planet.
Jeanette Williams
Probably the best cake shop in Perth!
Claire Haddon-Casey
Just brilliant! A truly beautiful cake and tasted even better. I couldn't have wished for a better cake to celebrate my 30th birthday. Anytime I need a cake, THIS is the place I'll be visiting x

The taste of the Apple Strudel is extraordinary and unforgettable.

Absolutely terrible customer service... Just tried to buy two pastries, however because they fell just short of $10, your staff would not let me purchase them, as I was planning to use PayPass through the eftpos facilities you offer. Basically, even though I had the funds to pay for the two pastries, because they were just short of your $10 minimum, you would not sell them to me...??? I don't know how many other customers do this in your store each day, or how this makes logical business sense to you, but if you're wondering why there is so much stock left on your shelves at 3pm in the afteroon, this might be the reason... Your store sells products that cost an average of $4.80. Not allowing customers to buy two of them makes no sense... I will never be back to this store again.

I love Corica Pastries

Shoot Photography Workshops would like to thank Corica Pastries once again for their generous donation of pastries to our Introduction to Food Photography workshop. The presentation, quality and taste of the product is always exceptional and a joy to use for the workshops.

Will tell the world of your tasty treasures.Bucket list for all.

When I was still living in Perth, I remember this was the place for one of the tastiest strudels. While the price remained reasonable, it didn’t live up to the happy memories I had of Corica. And I think the reason was because it’s not made fresh to order, resulting in the pastry lacking its signature crisp. <br/>Corica, please assemble the strudel upon ordering.
Rey Loh
In terms of strudels, this place is THE place to go. Admittedly, the prices get more expensive every year, and the strudel slowly shrinks. Quickly go and go and buy this for $22 now before it becomes half the size and $30.<br/><br/>The other desserts are also AMAZING, so go try those too.

We came by just before closing, the cabinets were empty but there were a few trays of cakes left. For $10 we grabbed a tray with 5 pastries. The coffee mousse was light and fluffy but very rich. I enjoyed the vanilla slice with its smooth creamy custard. Tasty authentic pastries, I would have liked to try the famous apple strudel but it wasn’t meant to be! Still a must for all sweet lovers.

Everything is so goood soooo sweet not recommend for those have diabetes the custard was good. The custard also tooooo creamy yummmy i like the custard

Ratio Decidendi: The apple strudel from Corica Pastries in Northbridge is the stuff of legend. Remember the days of people bringing back boxes of krispy kremes from Sydney to Melbourne? Amateur hour compared to the setup at Corica – they have full-fledged carrier boxes specifically designed for rough and tumble of airplane overhead baggage compartments. It was literally our first stop after landing in Perth as part of a road trip to Albany.
Xi
Do they still do apple strudels? These are divine. The best apple strudels ever thus make the shop best pastry shop in Perth. I often miss the strudels after I left Perth. A must-try if you visit Perth city but be mindful cuz the store location isn't in the very centre of city; and beware of their opening hours before you go
Eric Mu
The choice of cakes, cookies and desserts. I have been visiting them for years. And they have always been able to satisfy my appetite. The best in perth!
HungryHippo122
A family favourite of mine for many years. Corica's is an institution and never disappoints. Many happy memories have been shared eating one of their delicious apple strudels. My family and I will continue to support this local gem for years to come.
DforDee
I bought a few little pastries to try. Hmm the strip and amore tasted almost the same with the biscuit base. I really like the cannoli and horn but I didn't enjoy the tiramisu at all, the texture was all cream and too soft.
Foodie In Paradise
Came here all the time when I craved for the apple strudel. It was always the best dessert to buy when ever I go to any house party. I still think the apple strudel here is the best in town although there don't offer as much unique flavor as some other shop does. Wish they sell the durian strudel here. Pastry itself always flaky and with tasty apple and custard in between the layer.
Steph
The apple strudel here is the best thing that Perth got to offer! Not overly sweet. Pastry is amazingly light and flaky. I had half of the family portion in one sitting! The girls behind the counter are slightly grumpy but I am sure they are just exhausted from pumping out hundreds of these in one day! Yum! Yum!
More Than Nourishment
After having a massive craving for apple strudel, we gave into our temptations and got a strudel from Freddie's strudel and corica in the same week! It was good to have them so close together so we could have a close comparison. Corica's strudel was bigger and more value for money than Freddie's, and I also enjoyed their filling better. The let down with Corica was their pastry. Even though it was flaky, it wasn't as crispy as Freddie's (which was still slightly crispy the next day). Overall I still enjoyed it but Freddie's now give them a run for their money.
Louknowsfood
Still the best strudel in town & the same as I can remember from 25yrs ago! I used to request this strudel as my birthday cake all through highschool, the tradition continues with all our family members. Delicious, flakey, custardy & perfect apples. I must also say the best traditional ricotta cannoli I can find in Perth. Not overly sweetened, no chocolate lining & delicious crispy shell. This Sicilian approves! Yum!!!
Truth Be Told Australia
This cafe is <br/>Very well known for their pastries . I worked at the airport for years and I could not believe how many Asians travelling back to Singapore had a apple strudel from this place under their arm 😀. So we finally bought one for a birthday recently . $22 and it's was delightful, pastry was light and crunchy and filling was heavenly. Now I can see what all the fuss is about .

Always go here for special occasions 🎈 The strudel is so good but had it so many times I've been getting the blueberry cheesecake to change it up 🎂 Usually get a small snack in the window too hehe. Would be good if they had some seats to dine in and enjoy !
Matt
Walked past here after brunch and noticed a line of people out of the door.  Figured the place must be pretty good so though we'd stop by for a sneaky post-brunch treat.  Grabbed a custard horn and a freshly made profiterole.  Both were excellent!  I can see why this place has such a good rep, the pastry was delicious and flaky.  Wish I liked apple strudels as this seems to be their most popular option.  A definite must try!
Hungry Hippo
Best thing about Perth is this place! The apple strudel is devine and nowhere else can compare to Corica's! Definitely a place to go to for a special occasion or even a naughty treat for oneself!!
Maria Louisa Marcella
The best apple struddle ever! Never been bored eating it and can finish half of it in a day! Zuper yummmmmmyyyyyy and other pastry also very nice
Citra Setya
Gotta love this Apple Strudel!<br/><br/>Looking for affordable yet fancy and tasty bite to compliment your high-tea with the girls? Apple Strudel from Corica will do you fine! A box of Apple Strudel cost $22. It is a good size for 4 - 5 serves. The pastry and filling is fresh. The cream is just perfect; not too sweet but sweet enough for a sweet tooth!
Homerj
The apple Strudel is absolutely delicious! Crispy pastry layers of apple & custard cream - Mmm mouthwatering ! Definitely the best apple strudel in Perth ❤️
Mr Robot
After months of recommendations and cravings for Corica's apple strudel, I finally headed down to this small corner store in Northbridge to satisfy it. They had many boxes ready to go in the fridge, which most likely because Corica is well known for it's Apple Strudel, and now I understand why. The pastry was crispy and a thin wafer like crunch, and the cream tasted fresh and definitely not too over powering with cream. The apple chunks were nice and sweet.
Amalia Farida
The Corica's Apple Strudle, a delightfully flaky pastry with a sugar coated top encasing the lusciously creamy custard, ENAK BGT!

Corica's cakes are hard to beat - I can't count how many times I've enjoyed their cakes and pastries over many years.  Custard and creme layered liqueur soaked sponges are light as a feather, the cannoli are sensational but t's the apple strudel, tried last week after a hiatus of at least ten years, that is the most memorable for me.
Cadie
To buy Blueberry and apple strudel, I recommend Corica is the best place to buy. As I know Corica has been opened for long long time. My parents also fell in love with the cakes and strudel from Corica. The strudel is not too sweet. This is one thing I like. I cannot find any bakery in Perth that can make same taste as Corica does.
Tiana
That's really amazing!!! I bought several kinds of bakeries and none of them disappoint me!! I strongly recommend the apple pie which is really big, and good for share and puff as well!!! It is a must try in Perth!!
Peggy
i like to open a Corica Pastries in the place I am now at the home what would be the franchise to have this opened here thanks.my email address peggy@citypalace.ae

It is very bad customer service.<br/>6/5/2016 on Friday. I have tried call them that "if possible can you keep apple strudel for me tomorrow?" Because i know they offen sold out. This is important day and i need to bring sweet for the party. If they said " sorry we can't keep because ......etc" It is fine. I understand them.<br/>However this lady said " You can come over tomorrow we have a lots!" I said "it is quite offen sold out isn't it?" She said " should be fine! iam very busy moment . Come tomorrow Ok?"<br/>I tried call 1:30 pm. It is busy time.<br/>However if she doesn't know 100% tomorrow why she can say that to me?<br/>I want make sure just reason i tried call them.<br/>Anyway i am customer too. she can't say that<br/>" i am busy for customer service moment!!!"<br/>So feel disappointed them. I will go to other shop from now on. We have lots of other nice shop around them anyway!!
Chris
Sensational sweet Italian pastries and cakes. We've never been disappointed with anything that we have purchased from this place. High quality, authentic Italian pastries made with care and passion.
THE ILLUSIVE FEMME
Apple Strudel is pure heaven in a dessert! If you order anything, this is the one you want! The pastry is flaky and melt in your mouth and the filling is fresh and sweet and perfection. No other words necessary, just visit. Now.

When in Perth, you must check out/have corica! Try the horn, or if you have a couple of people - the apple strudel is a must! Make sure you eat it the day you get it, when its at its best! <br/>Or if you know someone coming from Perth, get them to bring it for you!
MF
The BEST pastries<br/>The strudel is fantastic - guests always love it<br/>The only problem is I'm going to have to start buying two as everyone is always looking for seconds even those on diets
Prince Of Perth
Royal Seal of Approval. Since 1957 the good folk of Perth have been treated to unsurpassed goodness in the form of the Corica Pastries original apple strudel. <br/><br/>One of the favourite vaunts of the Prince involves venturing into the heartland of the Northbridge, slipping in through the establishment's side entrance and purchasing a couple of boxed original apple strudels with the good intention of treating friends & family to sweet calorie heaven. <br/><br/>No Perth peer rivals this institution, it is just a shame that the building allows for a shopfront only and they can't evolve into a brunetti-styled pastry/cafe. Nevertheless, if you haven't Corica'd, you haven't lived.
J Smith
Apple strudel is ridiculously exquisite.. Lightly glazed puff pastry is dreamy with Apple delicately spiced with cinnamon and not too sweet cream. Put the ingredients together and it's perfection. Cheesecake was lovely too but the strudel gets the gold medal.

Being Italian I was brought up on these baby's ever since around 1974 when I was a baby. My Aunty used to work here back in the old days. When we used to be able to go in the back door and sample the cakes. The cakes have changed and are not as good as they used to be but Oh well things change which is annoying but as a Family that were brought up on these amazing cakes back in the day We will always buy them til the day we die lol. My favorites are the Custard Puffs,Vanilla Slice and the Custard Horn Oh and the Choc/White Custard mmmmmm the list goes on The Apple Strudel...... Buy a box and eat them to yourself we do it all the time
Cherikstony
Excellent strudels every single time! Personally I prefer their blueberry strudel over the original apple one, the blueberries just add on that extra texture difference, and it is not as sweet as the apple version.
Eilin Tan
Apple strudel too sweet for me. I can imagine it's really lovely for those with a super sweet tooth, but frankly I can't eat even a small slice of it. The apple fillings were fresh and cooked just right but it doesn't have the tangy-ness of green apples (that I believed are normally used in apple pies and strudels), nor any other flavors from spices like cinnamon. Coupled with cloyingly sweet custard, it's just well, too sweet. Also, eat it immediately no matter what people tell you, the flakey pastry doesn't taste quite as good if you wait, especially if you put it in the fridge and take it out again.
Wulan Sucipto
Apple Strudel here is awesome. The best apple strudel I ever taste. The pastry so crunchy with fresh apple and cream, really great combination. No wonder people always come back.

Many years ago when I was at KPMG, one of the generous partners used to bring in Corica treats for their birthday morning tea. I really hope they continue to do so because that was one of the highlights of my year! Today Catherine has brought home a custard horn from Corica while I’ve been at work, and it is as good as I remember. Incredibly beautiful custard, perfect in texture, and not ridiculously sweet, is housed in the flaky but structurally sound pastry, covered with a sprinkle of sugar. It doesn’t get much better, hence Corica’s success for many years.
Scarlette
Apple strudel is amazing as well as the cannoli's and custard horns! There is a wide range of sweet pastries plus some savoury. When you want to be decadent without counting your calories this is the best Italian pastry in Perth. My Nona & Nono would make all these by hand and the quality from Corica's is just as high.
Food Hunter
very long queue during tea time. it's a must try in Perth. everyone coming for their apple strudel. but my all time favourite is HORN!! 3.20 bucks for each.
PerthfectBreakfast
i'm voting a 5 for the apple strudel only.  I demolish one single handedly.<br/>Don't waste your time with the apple and blueberry version.<br/>Sometimes I'll pick up a few little sweet treats while I get my usual strudel and they're all really sub parr. Strudel FTW
CiderCraze
Apple strudel! They bestest of them all! Before moving to Perth I've heard all about it, never looked back after trying it. If there's a party this is the best dessert to bring. I love their vanilla slices too. No point describing it, just hit the store and get yourself a log.
Yjc921
Apple strudel @Corica i think its known for Perth's trademark in desserts. After 7years , having an apple strudel from Corica seems like "home sweet home". Crusty topping with chewy apple and custards in between is such a great taste of creation...
Cassie
The apple strudel is what Corica is known for and is actually the only thing I've tried from there. When you look at the elements of it, it's quite simple- puff pastry, stewed apples, custard and cream, but it works and is delicious.
OnePointFive
Havent bought and eaten Corica for ages. Today got a task to buy some pastries for friend's friend in Melbourne. Can't resist looking at my favourite Amore & Horn pastries, so I bought one of each. Cant wait to enjoy them with dearest Hubby when he comes home tonight😍
LittleGirlBigFood
Yeah so the Apple Strudel is famous. Not sure why. I would think the cannoli here is far more appealing. The struggle is just puff pastry and cream . I've had better from commercial bakeries. BUT as I said the cannoli here is heavenly
Food Sponge
Two words: apple strudel. Actually, make those three words: Corica’s apple strudel. I can’t remember exactly when I first made acquaintance with this light as air, golden flaky log of pastry, apple & cream heaven, but we have been best friends ever since. Possibly ten years. However it has been about two years since we had revisited our friendship. Thankfully one of my colleagues had the incredible foresight to bring in not one, but two wonderful freshly baked Corica apple strudel’s as his birthday morning tea for the whole office. There was enough for two or three slices per person!
Pris
I still bring any visiting guest here to eat this. No one seems to be sick of it. I think it still tastes good although it is so much more expensive now. Perhaps I will stop purchasing this once it hits $25 a box (of Apple pastry). Other stuff they have are ok. Service is also better now.
Lamb Pickles
Overrated seriously. The apple strudel is supposed to be the best - at least that is what I am hearing. However when I tried it, it tasted very average.
Cfcyann
Very average Apple Strudel. Came in with great expectations about the Appel Strudel. After having shared a box with my flatmates, I was left desperately disappointed with it - pastry was too flaky and just didn't seem worth the $22 I paid for it. I will say that the other pastries (notably Canoli) looked good. Very average customer service, I might add
Moomoosan
Gotta admit, pastries here are divine. Customer service however, was disappointing as ever.
Penny26424648
Super awesome vallina slice. God it's the best vallina slice in the world. The crunchy pastry and the stunning custard filling is the best combination ever!!!!! The cannoli was sold out today, what a pity! Gonna have a try next time , should be awesome as well :)
Stankov1
B**L Sh**. Apple Strudel.<br/><br/>Not even looking like a strudel..<br/><br/>It is in best case an apple/cream/mustard sugary misfit of an ĂŠclair.
Tv_adik
Rudeness not necessary. The cakes are great, but the service is crap. Everytime I've been there, the women over the counter just ignore me, and chat away to another customer. Need to sort this out.
Rinosabatino
Brilliant. I have been going there with my parents and now with my own family since we came to Australia from Italy in 1971 and they have ALWAYS got it right, FANTASTIC, we go for the custard horns and custard puffs
Crissantein
Only name!!!! Where is the quality Corica???. I do not wish to give any negative feedback. But I miss the Corica I used to go yo with my family. I loved the cakes, the authentic italian flavour. But with time, everything changes, so as the corica quality. The cakes have hit rock bottom. The cakes are usually old. <br/><br/>I bought custard horns today, they were sticky, old and just soggy. I highly recommend people, please take your money somewhere else. <br/><br/>Corica only has the name left as tradition not the quality.
Inatorni
Stinking Torte. Bought a small continental torte for my daughter's 16th. Cut the cake open, it smell like thinner or acetone. I called the store advising that the cake might have been off.<br/>They admitted it could be old and could not have been rotated properly by the staff. Offered a refund, but it could not pay for the embarassment i had to face in front of the family.
Bevadunn.01
St Honore Gateau. As far as taste, has been and always will be "Heaven in a Circle"<br/>Please put a photo on the web.....

Crave for the Apple Strudel. It has been a long time since I last ate the Apple Strudel.. Last time when I was in Perth my friend brought me to Corica.. It is still so delicious and makes me decide that I should eat this more often...
Food 2 Run
Simply the best, great cakes and service first class... Our family always gets our special treats from corica
Inatorni
Strudels a must, cakes to avoid. Strudels are always fresh and a must to try. Whereas, other cakes like tortas and rum should be avoided. Had to return a torta last time for a refund as it was stinking. The store even admitted, sometimes they don't sell that many cakes.
Lovetoeat
A must!!. Ever since someone told me about the apple strudel from Corica Pastries, I have been religiously buying from them every time I'm in town. They are the freshest and tastiest. Can't say no to fresh cream and apple, and super flaky pastry..
Evonne
It's an institution really for tourists to take hime from Perth. A little like back in the day when people would bring back Krispy Kremes from the east. Gosh that strudel has an addictive quality and balance in the crisp, the sweet, the smooth and creamy. The custard is the best in Perth and I strongly recommend trying the cornet/horns or cannoli.
GarinkK
They could do better. Well yes their struddle is nice. Only buy everytime theres overseas relative visitting us. But geez... The girls are super rude! Might need to find other new bites. Can i also point out that their price keep increasing ea year...

Best apple strudel in town, definitely worth a try
Anna Daniel
Absolutely love this bakery!<br/>Ladies were very helpful and the apple strudel is simply mouthwatering!
Jasonzaws
Good tasty cakes. Great almond slice! absolutely stunning!!
May Mich
Always come here for the apple strudel. smooth & puffy!
Tony The Terrible
I have had their Apple Strudel a few times now and it's always been nice. It has never been soggy on the bottom. I like the design of the strudel box. Although I enjoy a Corica apple strudel occasionally there is really nothing that special about it at all. It's just a good well made apple strudel! <br/>I think it is overpriced for what it is. Yesterday I purchased two long apple strudels and some other small pastries for around $50. That is far from good value!
Katie Nguyen
It's okay. I don't understand what the fuss is all about - I find the apple strudel just okay.
Cyclone X
Rude staff members. Have to be fair on this - they make good pastries BUT also have very very rude staff members and receptionist.
Little Food Adventures
Did someone say Apple Strudel?. Best apple strudels hands down !<br/>Also, friendly staff and reliable service.<br/><br/>PS. their custard horns are nice too.
Patti
The best Apple Strudel ever!!
Cathy
Tried the apple strudel and surprised how light and fresh it tasted (although it doesn't quite look like a traditional strudel). The staff was rather cold but not unfriendly.
Nikki
One of the Must Have. The apple strudel is sooooo great!! You must try it if you go to Perth.
Leighton Cornock
A decent pastry. This is the first time i ate a corica pastry's apple strudel, i think that yes, they do make good pastries not as good as the other people say it is, but the apple strudel is creamy, crispy and not overloaded with sugar i give it a 7/10
Delicieux
Have to try the apple strudel. Their apple strudels are the best. The pastry is very crunchy and you know it is made fresh.
Liketoeat
Corica has the best strudel and pastry in Perth. But they have exceptionally rude service. i was there with three friends, lining up, i was told to wait to be serve because i was in a group, but we were lining up as normal and paying separately.i said okay and waited., No thank you after taking the payment and just left the package on the table without putting in a carry bag, even tho it was pouring outside . Tried to have eye contact and asked for a bag because they were busy, but they kept ignoring us ! I dont think i will ever go back to them.
Shika2
Favourite of all time. I have been coming to Corica for years and no one comes close to their delicious custard eclairs and other patiseries, especially their apple strudel. It contains real custard with fresh cream and crunchy layers of pastry.<br/>Recently a friend of mine ordered a chocolate ganache cake for her son's birthday and it was so velvety soft and not overly sweet. A really beautiful cake. If only they were closer to my residence I would be there every week lol.
Coffee101
Best custard horn!. Custard horn is to die for! Haven't tried the apple strudel yet....shame on the service though.
Mrs Brown
Corica. Still the best Apple strudel anywhere, great friendly service and good prices for Perth!!!!! Keep it up please!
Dixie
OMG!. Oh my goodness. The best pastry shop in Perth. Every single morsel, tastes devine. What not to buy. I usually walk out with one of each. Thats why I will only go there for special occasions. Its all too tempting ! Have a high tea and put Corica pastries on the plate. Your friends will love you for it. Good prices too. Very affordable. Well done Corica !

I've only ever had their blueberry apple strudel that had travelled with my friend from Perth to Melbourne, which means that when I actually got it in Melbourne, it wasn't as fresh and crispy as it would've been if I'd had it straight from the bakery in Perth, and yet I'm still giving it an 8.5/10. Yes, their blueberry apple strudel is that amazing, and I pray that someday soon they will open a branch in Melbourne.
Lily
Great Strudel. Never actually been here, but my aunt always brings pastries from this place whenever she comes from Perth and I absolutely love them.<br/><br/>Downside is their hours - I'm always in Perth on weekends for work and can never find a time where I can go myself so I always need to get someone else to pick up a strudel for me instead.
LittleMiss
Strudel. Bought home an apple strudel for the family, they were thrilled because it's been so long! They are now $20 each. Still delicious. Apparently around 1998 they were around $9ish dollars!! I need to try their cakes sometime...<br/>Though I wish they didn't close so early on a Sat and not even open on a Sun!<br/>Strudel is consistently good!!
Kuma San
I avoid this place at all costs! The apple strudel is divine and no matter how much I try to not take one home it somehow finds it's way into the car and then onto my plate.
Table80
Apple Strudel. A must try! There is nothing else like it. Pure bliss!
Miche
Best apple strudel in the world. Corica's apple strudel is the reason why Perth is still the best place to live in Australia. I have traveled far and wide, and nothing - absolutely nothing - compares.
Priscilla Lim HuiYi
Yummiest apple strudel!! Called up earlier to reserve an apple strudel. The lady over the phone & at the counter were both friendly & nice. Really happy with my purchase today, though the weather was really bad.
Rumy S Kōsaka
Really good apple and blueberry strudel. But the service was really bad! It wouldn't hurt just to smile a little. :(
Sarey
Try the torte. We've been getting our birthday cakes (tortes) from Corica for as long as I can remember. For some reason we'd never tried a strudel, but it was my Nan's birthday party tonight so we decided to get one of each. I have to say that I was a little underwhelmed by the strudel. Admittedly my expectations were very high which never helps, and to be fair I couldn't fault anything, it's just that it's pastry, custard, cream and apple and that can probably only be so good. The torte on the other hand is amazing. Layers of perfect light sponge with liqueur, beautiful smooth custard and amazing icing. Just the perfect combination of flavours and textures. And all their cakes are very reasonably priced.
Cheryl B
St Honore vs Streudel. My, famiy and I have been shopping at Corica's for over 30 years. The streudel is absolutely amazing and well documented, however if you haven't already, please try their most amazing torte the 'St Honore'. Many, many years ago, there was a cafe underneath Gledden Buildings on the corner of Hay and William, called 'Giuseppe's', it's long since gone, however the memory of the beautiful aroma of (proper) coffee, perhaps the first in Perth to embrace this genre and a piece of St Honore as a child was like a step into another realm. When I was old enough to track down an alternate source of this very special cake, I found Corica's. The love affair started again and has continued to this day. This week our family will share another <br/>St Honore in remembrance of our beautiful Mum who adored this cake so.

Best Apple Strudel. The apple strudel is a must have. It is the best I've ever tasted - the pastry is crunchy and light, the apples and the custard balances each other out perfectly. Great to take out to a gathering or as a dessert

Rude strudel. Great pastries for Perth, would pale in a larger city, overated, overpriced and rude service, try and avoid if possible.

Corica is an institution.. Everything that comes out of this quirky little bakery is as authentic to the essence of each product as anyone can get... sounds like I'm talking foodie wank but honestly - put anything they make in your mouth and see if you don't agree.<br/><br/>Go mamas!<br/><br/>As for the service... a small price to pay :)

Apple Strudel = Heaven. The apple strudel is .... DELICIOUS! It is a must have. The custard horns are good too. It's a good thing they have great food here because the staff are so rude. One of them just chucked my change on the counter top. But the strudel is so good that I'm willing to look past that.

Lives up to reputation. Had the apple strudel the other day - simple, well balanced and delicious!

Rude ppl!. I called today wanting to know what time they were open till. A lady answered and without letting me speak told me she was putting me on hold. 5 minutes later someone hanged up on me, i called back immediately this time a man answered. I told him i had just called and was waiting for 5 mins and then someone had hanged up on me, i was very light hearted about it and had a little chuckle in my voice, so instead of apologizing like i thought he would have he rudely said "yeah the lady said there was a bad line so what do you want?!" you guys might be known for your apple strudle but if the customer service doesnt come a long with it i guarantee you your business will go down hill. Word of mouth is all it takes!!

I live in Melbourne and on a recent return from a work trip, I made sure that my lovely boyfriend brought me back some apple strudel that I had heard everybody raving on about... Did it live up to its hype? It sure did, i enjoyed it very much! The flakey pastry was crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. I loved the custard filling - not too sweet and well balanced with the apples. I also got to try the custard horns and canoli which I highly recommend. I can't wait til the next time that I am in Perth; will definitely make a stop!

Pastries' Heaven. My brother worked at Corica Pastries a few years back, so I was spoilt when it came to pastries, as our family would get their products discounted and occasionally free if he was able to bring anything home. <br/><br/>Their apple strudel is a must try on the menu, it's absolutely amazing.

I don't even like Black Forest Cake but if its by Corica, consider me a fan! Fluffy chocolate sponge, sandwiching stripes of fleecy whipped cream, pockets of dark cherries, veiled with the best quality chocolate shavings. I continued to sing this divine cakes praises long after it had made its way into my belly.

Apple strudel and blueberry strudel.. Soo classic

Custardy Delights. Oh the custard horns, dont even get me started on the ecclaires. My heart belongs to the amore biscuits though, light and tasty almond-esque apricot delight.

Corica's have the best almond slices ever! The other day after having lunch at in Northbridge , we decided to buy ourselves a little treat. We bought two almond slices and two cannolis that had vanilla and chocolate custard inside of them. I'm not a big fan of cannolis because it displeases my stomach, but according to my sister and mum, they're the best! Corica's almond slices are so, so good. It's so decadent, chewy and rich in all the right ways. You've got to be careful with your teeth though, because they can be a little too hard especially when they've just come out of fridge. If you let them sit outside for awhile it will soften down, if you can wait that long. It's so fudgy and caramel-y and it's just the best thing to chew on, really satisfying. I love to cut them in to small bite sized pieces because it's fun to cut and eat them. I'm really craving an almond slice right now! I much rather drive to Northbrige and buy one than slave over uni assignments and life in general. I've been trying to re-organise my blog too, I've changed the URL slightly if you haven't already noticed, and I'm stressing out with technical issues with Urbanspoon, the link isn't working for me any more, which is weird?? I'm going to try and fix it and hopefully it'll go back to normal!
Queen Of Bad Timing
There's something to be said about a good Italian pastry. Coricas is an institution for a reason, they always get it right - it's no wonder people flock from all over for their apple strudel.

Overall rating: 9, I just love their strudels and waiting for the next batch order. I've never been to the shop so I don't know how's the service or atmosphere of this place, but i know they make yummy desserts!

A sugary start to my day always puts me in a good mood...grab one of the famous apple strudels.

I didn’t care for a few of the pastries but the others were delicious. The standouts were the coffee eclair, canoli, horns, and puff. And yes I like the Italian custard and no, I didn’t eat this all myself, I did share, and it was consumed in 3 separate sittings over the course of a few days.

... a delightfully flaky pastry encasing the lusciously creamy custard - so good, I wish I had bought more. In fact, I'd say it deserves some of the limelight alongside the strudels at Corica.

If there were ever any requests for souvenirs from Perth, you can bet that majority of the time, Corica Pastries will have something to do with it. Some even go as far as to transport boxes of their legendary apple strudels all the way back to Malaysia and Singapore. I'm told that pre-ordering is essential with at least one day's notice, however when I called we were told that they would have plenty in stock.

...these strudels from Corica Pastries are definitely the best in Australia. Knowing that these strudels were in high demand, I placed my order for six strudels in Melbourne. The first time I rang, I was a dill and forgot about the four-hour time di
