Review Lambretta Cucina Italiana - Perth

Mel Scott (Melscottyy)
It's consistently not bad. The owner is lovely and very accommodating. My rating is mainly attributed to the service. The food is not bad, I'd recommend the Gnocchi or wood fired pizza

Great food and even better service. Would recommend making a booking in advance for Friday nights. About $35 a head
Kristina P.
Friendly staff and great selection of authentic Italian food. Lunch and dinner at average price.

we stumbled upon this, looking for another neighbourhood Italian restaurant that we had driven by a few weeks ago, and couldn't place, and decided to give it a go. The ambiance, and location is absolutely precious; quite endearing. The service is wonderful, as it seems the head waiter has been part of the establishment for quite some time, very charming. The wine was absolutely delicious! The food, unfortunately, was the most disappointing part of our experience. My pasta dish seemed unfinished (tasteless, and very unappealing presentation wise...I actually asked the waitress that served it, if there was a sauce missing; sadly, the answer was no), and the pizza was very light on the toppings that were listed, and even with that, soggy in the crust. Very disappointing. I would go back, to give the benefit of the doubt... (maybe the chef head an off night) but I would definitely not order the same thing.

This place is fantastic for lunch or dinner. I have been here more than five times. Good price. Good selection. Everything I've had has been very tasty. Portions are a bit undersized for me, but that's subjective.
Vittal Mogasale
Delicious Italian food with lot of vegetarian and gluten free options.

You are treated like family. Moritzio remembered me from 1 visit months ago. Service totally first class, food absolutely beyond delicious and the chef went out of his way to make me a special dish and was amazing.
Matt Kocaj
Seafood linguine was mediocre thanks to the frozen prawns used. Chicken gnocchi was pretty great tho. Would have been happy to pay a bit extra for fresh prawns and nicer bread (garlic bread). Hospitality was great.

Went tonight for a family meal and I was amazing great food amazing services felt at home and good pricing definetly recommend

Absolutely love Lambretta, beautiful traditional Italian food in a warm and inviting environment. The owner and his wife are fantastic and are always there to great you and make sure you enjoy your meal. The mushroom tortellini is amazing and the Sfizi Plate is a great way to start a meal, we always say yes to any little special starters as they are always fantastic.
Jo-Anne Bridgette
Delicious Italian food, casual dining, we had a menu selection of specials and menu items that were generous and tasty. Some problems with our coffee orders at end of evening cast a bit of dampener on our experience
Lisa Ammon
Lovely authentic Italian food and great buzzy feel to the place. Everyone happy. Both drinks and food are refreshingly well priced. Will definitely be back to try something else off the amazing menu. Where else in Perth can you get a nice glass of house red for $3.90?

Great find! Nostalgia, good food, wine and music! Quaint Italian in Nedlands with friendly service!

This is the best Italian restaurant I've ever been to being Italian myself I felt like I was at home They were very accomodating for the children who are quite fussy and getting us in last minute as there was 7 of us But it was no big deal to rearrange some tables Very traditional home cooked Italian food great homely feel was absolutely amazing and if we are back in Perth again will definitely be coming back And would definitely recommend it to everyone who wants that nostalgic feel of Italy

Very disappointed with how you handled my complaint. I found what looked and felt like two strips of plastic (1cmx3cm) in my squid salad. You insisted they were cartilage. Regardless the point is you served ineddible components, acknowledged that I was dissatisfied and still made me pay full price. We were regular customers you knew by face.

Most authentic italian food I've had in Perth! No nonsense, homemade recipes. Needless to say, Maurizio (the owner) was super attentive and hospitable to every single person there <3 Would frequent for coffee/pumpkin mushroom risotto!

We had a fantastic meal last night - keeping it authentic italian food and the best aperol spritz !! The service was amazing, so friendly and very welcoming. Atmosphere was so much fun. It felt like i was back in Italia. We'll return very soon. Grazie mille
Dennis Bernecker
Dined last night, just loved the place, the food and the staff. My choice for the night was Osso Bucco, which was cooked just right with beautifull meat falling apart.
Guy JRoth
Great food and service and love the fact it is open for service later than most.

Hadn't been for a while, food here has always been great, and still is!
Megan Whelan
Absolutely brilliant food! Been here twice now and both experiences were exceptional, even though they were clearly very busy! Will visit again

Lovely local restaurant. Definitely worth a try. Kids loved their pasta and pizza.

Saw the sign saying lunch specials $10.90 pasta, pizzette and focacce and decided to give it a go. I ordered the rigatoni carbonara from the pasta series and the portion was small and they were stingy with the bacon. We came in a group of 7 and everyone is complaining how salty their food is. When we got our bill, the pasta was $14.90 and after checking with the staff, she said that's the price on the menu. Guess their signage is misleading, rather than $10.90 pasta, pizzette and focacce, they should put from $10.90. But then again, what is the point of putting up a sign saying lunch specials if you are gonna charge the customers same price as on the menu?
Tastebudtom
Extremely dissapointed. Come here often as it is down the road - have had issues nearly every time (5/6 times) - once having to wait an hour just to place our order - service is poor. Had to wait 40 mins for garlic bread...the "special" penne pancetta had 6 miniscule pieces of pancetta and multiple orders were forgotten. Saddest part is when this was passed on to the manager/owner - the response was extremely defensive and irate...we've come here nearly once a month for 6 months and don't make up issues for the sake of it...
We come here all the time with the family, beautiful busy atmosphere, and super friendly staff. The food was delicious, but there are not many vegan options (just asked to modify the vegetarian options, of which they have a couple.)
Melissa.hunt24
I ordered the lunch special which was penne pasta with a tomato, rosemary and chilli sauce. The food came and I was offered pepper and Parmesan. One turn of pepper was given, I didn’t say to stop. Half a teaspoon of Parmesan was given, I didn’t say stop. I’m not a greedy person but I do prefer more pepper and a fair bit more Parmesan. I was almost made to feel bad to have the lunch special therefore I was not entitled to anymore pepper of Parmesan than the bare minimum. The lunch was nothing amazing and literally the next day I made better and more tastier at home in minutes. Not impressed. The staff appeared friendly but only to regulars which is a shame.

Had a lovely Gnocci here, served by a lovely waiter, I believe his name was Shaun. Also ordered a side of garlic bread which was possibly the best Ive ever had. Service was amazing! Will definitely be returning soon!
Freo Food Girl
Bland! We all had pastas and all sauces lacked any sort of flavour. They were bland and boring, one dish was very watery with the 'sauce' pooling at the bottom, the other two had tomato sugo that tasted like it was from the bottle. I was really disappointed after reading all the positive reviews. Service was okay at best - owner was hung up on serving two pretentious people at the front who then were then jerks about their bill when it came time to pay(karma?). Will not be returning.

After a disastrous attempt at satisfying our fish and chip craving from fisch on broadway down the road we binned this and ordered a pizza from here. Fantastic to say the least!!!!!!! The best we have had. We had the marinara and another meat one and it was perfect in every way. It's refreshing to see and also come in and feel the energy this place has. Needless to say our meal was on point and we will definitely be back

Am pleased to report this place is sensational! With superb food, great service and warm atmosphere it is highly recommended. Will be back soon

We came here for a family dinner, we ordered pizzas as a starter! Absolutely DIVINE we had a margarita and a Bianca! Both full of flavor and defiantly tasted like we were eating pizza in Italy 👏🏼 I then had spaghetti Marinara it was delicious , the rich tomato and not such a strong fishy taste was perfect and not over powering. Defiantly will be back. The service was great food came extremely quick and the restaurant was packed.

Friendly service by probably the owner. I had the gnochi alla Lambretta which is super rich, creamy and yummy. Looks a bit dark from the outside but a very warm pleasant interior. The lunch specials are also a good deal when I don't want a big meal, just wish there was a chicken option!
Bee
The staff are extremely friendly and make you feel welcomed at all time. It is a great place for a causal Italian meal. Bring your own wine and joy with a few friends.

I'm Italian and I've been there a few times with my husband. It really feels like being in Italy: very nice and fun ambiance, excellent food and service. They make the original Italian pizza and I strongly recommend the one with friarielli
(Neapolitan broccoli), so yummy! I also recommend the Linguine Marinara (linguine pasta with mixed seafood): that's another delicious, well presented dish. The staff is very efficient, kind and nice: they never stop smiling, even when they are very busy. In particular, the owners are terrific: they literally pamper their customers and they always look happy, making people have a great experience! The place is really nice too, with a red Lambretta vehicle at the front and beautiful pictures on the walls: if you wanna eat great food and have lots of fun, you must go there! P.s. Don't forget to end your meal with an Italian perfect espresso ;-)
PescoRick
Half cooked linguine in an authentic Italian restaurant? Not talking al dente - the cook must have left the pasta sticking out of the water somehow? When this was pointed out to the maître d - he seemed more interested in my opinion of the marinara sauce (which was ok). Mangos nice but icecream old. Service slow. Won't be coming back
Richard Anderson
Great place for dinner. Would skip the garlic bread next time, but everything else was excellent - our table sampled pizza, pasta, meat dish and parmigiana.

This place is beautiful. I was so impressed with the whole experience and would encourage everyone I know to try this restaurant.
All our meals were great, we shared Garlic mushrooms, and had 5 mains amongst our table. Mushroom tortellini, seafood spaghetti marinara, Diavola Boom pizza, chilli mussels & linguini vongoles. We had panacotta with berries & profiteroles with choc sauce for dessert.
There are many Italian restaurants in perth but when you pair it with impeccable all round service we received you can't help but rave and recommend this restaurant on such a forum.
Congrats to the staff at Lambretta's you made our family experience one of the best.
JO
This place was great. The food was tasty, service was prompt and our food arrived very quickly! The only issue I would have is that our waitress was a little bit rude; probably didn't take us very seriously because we were a bunch of uni students in a restaurant full of people in their late adulthood. We had the Prosciutto and sundried tomato foccacia, pesto gnocci & the calzone.

We decided to celebrate our 25th Anniversary at this local Restaurant. Lovely ambiance, excellent staff and service but for the price, the quality of the ingredients, the meat in particular, left a lot to be desired. I had a scallopine which was reasonable in terms of taste but the meat was quite sinewy.
F.barbosa.manfrinato
The best. I'm a big fan of Italian food and although I've tasted other good Italians in Perth, this small restaurant makes the others biting the dust. Not only its pizzas are light and shockingly delicious (by light I mean they don't bloat you) - truly woodfire-baked - and their desserts are rich and scrumptious, the restaurant itself is comfy and cozy, the price is below average, but also the service provided by the owner and the staff is absurdly fantastic. I went there once and I felt home, even though I'm not from Italy. I above highly recommend!

Dependable Dining. I recently re-visited an old favourite - "Lambretta" in Hampden Road. When it was open on Monday nights members of the Aikido Club ( UWA ) had dinner there on the first Monday of most months. I was pleased to find that the food is still excellent and the staff friendly and helpful. For reasonably priced Italian Food and good service it is in a class of its own. I will return soon.
Melissa.brewer13
Awesome food. As regulars at Lambretta I can honestly say the food is exceptional, particularly the Rigatoni Al Capone and Scallopini. We take a bottle of red and enjoy the wonderful staff, especially Mauritzio. Great for a night out with the family, date night or birthdays.
Laura
One of the best kept secrets in Perth. I love this place!! It is warm and cosy and the food is honest and filling. The owner and his lovely staff make you feel right at home and are very friendly and welcoming. This place is everything you imagine your local Italian would be; really good food, charming atmosphere and wonderful service - 10/10.

Good. Nice experience at this restaurant. Paid about $65 for a starter and dessert to share, a pizza and pasta dish and a carafe of wine. Very cheap for Perth standards! Great value for money and lovely friendly service. Recommend the yummy garlic bread. We will return!
FoodieKitten
Fresh Simple Authentic. Absolutely love their Pizza Capricciosa! The uncooked egg in the middle just bring the pizza to another level with the creaminess texture in the amount! Will go back just for this pizza! :-)

Great food, the chef's baby goat is amazing.
Good floor staff.
Perfect for a winter's dinner.

Great Food. We had the Linguini Vongole which was one of the best I have had, it was delicious, so full of flavour. We also had the Goat which was also full of flavour and very tender. We were very happy with our meals and the service.
Melissa Thomas-Hall
Fantastic restaurant, friendly staff and lovingly prepared genuine Italian food! Great place to bring the kids Maurizio the proprietor treats them like his own.
James
Good Value. Dinner here last week was good value for money. Good linguini with clams and my wife enjoyed her gnocchi. Good garden salad and the house wine was quite acceptable. Will be back.

Always enjoyable. We always enjoy our food at this great little place.

Excellent friendly service but food was very average on the night we went.
Ali
The waitstaff were really great! Super friendly but not intrusive. Very great atmosphere

Authentic. Reminiscent of many actual Italian restaurants in Italy. Real fireplace, warm filling hearty food and nice wines that are very well priced for Perth. This place could easily be in Verona Firenze Pisa and Mauritzio adds to the experience. Will definitely go back. I think they also do BYOB. Service stalls a bit at their busiest points. Easily remedied.

Came here based on the reviews and we were not disappointed. Beautiful food and friendly service. Although there was no vegan meals on the menu, they were very happy to create a vegan pasta dish, which was just delicious. We will definitely return.

Okay for a quick meal.. Being Italian and having grown up with home cooked food, I have a pretty high standard when it comes to restaurant Italian food. Lambretta in my opinion....is okay. It's definitely not great and it's nothing fancy but it's good for a quick, cheap meal (especially in winter). I suggest getting there relatively early to avoid the rush after about 6.30pm because it's almost impossible to get a table then. Staff have always been friendly to us however you do need to keep reminding them about things sometimes because they will often forget to bring things you've asked for.

Found a 2cm piece of plastic in my elderly mums lasagna. Made worse when the boss showed the plastic container it came from that stored all the pre made lasagna and then thought a $5 discount was fair recompense! No I needed an apology and at least a complimentary meal to have stopped me posting this review

Great little Italian Restaurant! Good service friendly owner would definitely go back!

Nice local Italian. We really love the gnocchi with creamy pesto and chicken and the mushroom tortelloni. The baby goat special was a real let down however.

Came with a group of 10. Excellent service, generous portions and without asking, maurizio the owner started a birthday song for the birthday girl. Great atmosphere!

The most boring pizza I have had in my life, I had the lambretta 175, supposedly their best pizza . Just too average to pay for, wasn't cooked . I would rather make my own!!
Wilhelm
My favourite. This is my favourite place. Great service, great food and makes me feel like being in Italy. I have been there many times of the last 2 years and I can say that I had never a negative experience. The owner is great, warm and welcoming. I hope that the Lambretta is going to be there for many more years to come.
Wilhelm

Went out for dinner - Three of us dined here one Saturday night and sat outside, we tried the rocket 175 pizza and loved it. We all had our various different mains and all enjoyed it! Finished off with a small dessert, coffee and nice limoncello and all was good. Nice unique little Italian place! Service was good & the little Lambretta (coffee machine) said goodbye to as all by beeping and flashing it's lights....

Really nice Italian place. Full marks all round. Owner and staff very welcoming.

Poor Service. We dined here and found the meat quite tough. The owner was very arrogant. Will not return

Mixed. Bruschetta was extremely good, highly recommended.
Ordered steak medium rare came out medium well. Was very gristly, could have been a cheaper cut.
Tried some of my partners lasagne it was reasonable.
Also quick note on the service it was top notch, the owner is a pro.

I would recommend avoiding the steak and getting a freshly made pasta dish instead - the menu seems a little hit and miss here.
Elise
Good Italian food. My partner and I went here a few weeks ago to try it out and had a pleasant experience. I had the mushroom sauce tortellini which was delicious; my partner's lasagna however was very average. The Greek salad wasn't very Greek; mostly just mixed lettuce, but the chocolate cake for dessert was very good.

Food: 4.5/5 (mushroom sauce tortellini, chocolate cake) and 2.5/5 (lasagna, Greek salad)
Price: 4/5 (decently priced food - good lunch specials)
Service: 4/5 (great service and friendly staff)
Atmosphere: 3.5/5 (the restaurant is a bit small so it gets noisy pretty quickly even though its half empty)

Not Very Happy. I went with a large group of friends for a birthday dinner to Lambretta.
Unfortunately, the group that attended was a little smaller than had been expected, the owner quickly took the extra tables away BUT at the end of the meal decided to keep almost half the deposit she had put down. It was her actual birthday and she is a reasonably poor uni student. I am very disappointed as we all ate quite a bit and ordered drinks but the owner felt it okay to take the deposit even though he not only took the table back but it wasn't a busy night and we ordered a lot from the menu. Could have very easily ruined the birthday girl's night!
Ilovetoeat
Unacceptable. This is my first time at Lambretta Cucina Italiana, and upon entering the restaurant the ambiance looks comfortable, the waitress did not look like they were too busy rushing around, and they were polite and helpful with the menu (you know in some restaurants the waiters/ress busy themselves with things in the restaurant and allow the customers to linger at the front door?), which is a good thing for this restaurant, I was attended to and was seated quite quickly. But unfortunately, I was seated near the door which made it awkward for me, and requested if I could change seats. The owner came up to me and told me, "that every restaurant has a door." Which I found it quite rude, but I did not say anything, I thought I would let that slip as the owner allowed us to change seats. The owner seated us close to an 11-seater, which is not awkward enough, the 11 customers started arriving halfway through my meal, and the owner lifted a chair and above my head. Is it not said somewhere, one should not be able to lift a chair over a customer's head. I mentioned this to the owner, and he remarked, "that because I was in his restaurant, and this may not be allowed in your culture, it does not matter to me." I would like to stress that it had nothing to do with culture (to be honest, I do not know very much about my culture). And the owner assumed because I am an Asian that I was from Singapore. At the end, I expected the Owner to apologise for lifting the chair over my head when it was mentioned to him. An apology was made as I left the restaurant. I think I expected quality service, but did not receive one on this night.

Awesome food. Everything we ordered was delicious. Pizza was a delight - light base, just the right amount of topping.

Portions are huge so I suggest sharing meals or you end up wasting the gorgeous food
Ozzie Yogi
High quality food and great service! That says it all.
Bella Dolce
Best little family restaurant in the Western Suburbs (if not all of Perth). Have been coming here with family and friends for the past 10 odd years and always have a great time. Went for Mum's birthday this week and pre-ordered the profiterole "cake" for dessert - a worthwhile decision! Along with a candle and singing "Happy Birthday", the owner went to the effort of writing "Happy Birthday Anna" on the plate in chocolate - a sweet touch that reminded us why we love this place!
We've been told that a new chef took over at the start of the year; food is as good as ever, and now it comes out super fast! We had great food on the table within 10 or 15 minutes - he must be the speediest chef there is!
Just can't recommend this place enough!
Lisa
Loved it!. We went to Lambretta for lunch. Didn't plan on going there but had a walk around the area and were attracted by the very cheap lunch specials. We all got lunch for about $10, decent serving sizes for lunchtime and the food was very nice. Service was fantastic, the guy (who I think was the owner) was very friendly and helpful. There was a huge selection of meals to choose from, even on the specials list. Will definitely go back!

Honk Honk Honk!. Lambretta has been a favourite of mine for years. Love coming here for date night with the Mr or with a group of friends. Morris the owner is super friendly and very obliging to adjust the menu to suit your taste buds- so don't be afraid to ask nicely. It always seems to be full so we always book ahead to make sure we get our seats. Morris makes this restaurant vibrant and exciting with the Lambretta (car/bike) horn going off every now and then to say goodbye to the customers as they leave. A Limoncello after the meal doesn't go astray either. Good all round experience.
Thepinkhouse
We were there on a Friday night without a booking. The restaurant was busy but they fitted us in. Standard Italian fare. It was great for a no fuss dinner out before going onto something else. Pasta was tasty, salad too. A good night out.
Travelletto
Great value casual Italian. Good pasta, decent pizza, big serves, byo. A regular favourite for us
Jasmin L
This is the best itlaian restaurant I've ever Been to, the owner is so nice and welcoming, the atmosphere is cozy and happy and the food is delish! It does take a while but I'm always so happy and full after the meal! Bit above average for price but it's so worth it!
Elena
Did not like. Food was very average. Waitress dropped clean cutlery on the floor picked up and set up tables without replacing or at least wiping them out.
Fab Food Addict
A little piece of europe. This is a lovely cafe to sit in, particularly during Summer, to watch the world go by. The little cafe's windows open up with lots of light and the tables are clean. The waiters were friendly and warm and give you the feel that you have walked into a 'family home' for a meal. Prices seemed reasonable- a carafe of wine was under $10 and all the little touches of this cafe reminded me of Italy. I ordered the $9.90 lunch special of penne pasta with tomato, garlic and chilli and it came with complimentary home baked bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. The serves were large and the food was humble. However, it was not the most amazing pasta I had tasted- the pasta did not taste like it was freshly made and the sauce tasted like it had been made with canned tomatoes and some garlic. But the warm atmosphere, the great prices and the non-fussy dining still makes it a place I would like to return to.

Mediocre food, poor service. We've had pleasant experiences at Lambretta before; unfortunately, today wasn't one of those occasions.

A group of us dined at Lambretta for lunch with combination of lunch specials and full price menu items were ordered. The lunch special pastas and pizzas disappointing - all very plain, lacking in meat and scanty with the ingredients. Only the chicken foccacia was satisfying - this dish is definitely the one to get among the lunch specials.

The full price pasta item cost twice as much as the lunch special but didn't live up to the price tag. The serve was small and the flavours were bland, though it looked quite appetising. Avoid the garlic bread like the plague! it was small, hard and dry with garlic butter only on one side.

The service was slow and indifferent. After ordering, our group was asked to move to a small poky table hidden in the corner where we were then ignored. Servers were snappy and slow and were often nowhere to be found - the garlic bread arrived long after the main courses were finished!

Even paying was a chore. They lost our bill (although the chap manning the till was very friendly) and wanted us to recite, person by person, what we'd ordered. We just handed over more than enough money to cover our bill and left - we didn't get any of the change we were owed but it was worth it just to get out of there.

Great character. Restaurant has fantastic character, good portions, good food, good service. Well priced lunches making it a great lunch spot.

Do not bother.went there last night dressed in casual attire after a hard days work and got seated at a dirty table. Not once were we offered a menu, water or any attention. The only other people in the restaurant were people in suits that were getting schmoozed on by the waiter. We went there to celebrate my partners promotion, but decided to walk put after Half an hour of no service, not even a menu.If you want good Italian in the western suburbs please go to Gargano,Pronto,La Lola or Allegro.Lam tetra is the biggest waste of time!

Well priced but generous lunch specials. Very friendly service.

Chef was very accommodating to dietary requirements & recommended a beautiful meal. The calzone was insanely huge for one person which is probably better shared between 2 with a side salad. Pizzas are beautiful here but I always ask the host or owner to make recommendations based on freshest seasonal produce. A little gem and well priced. Very easy to have a few bottles over good conversation (although the acoustics can be bad when it's a full house) and top off the night with something sweet and a grappa to boot!

The Best!!!. My favourite restaurant in Perth!!! Great simple, fresh Italian food with exceptional service. Food is priced as it should be and served to the highest standard. If you don't like this place you need to question yourself and what it is you are after in a night out for dinner.

An old favourite. I have been coming to lambretta with my family for almost 9 years now and I must say things have not changed always the same happy friendly faces and the best thing the bill at the end of the night is still much the same,if you want woodfire pizza or an good pasta in the western suburbs.

Food quality has slipped. I am disappointed that there has been a change in the menu or chefs at this restaurant. Haven't been here since October 2009, however their food quality has definitely slipped since this time. My friend's prosciutto was cut incredibly thick, had lots of bits of fat and was a strange colour. When we made a complaint, the owner replied by saying that that is the "quality" of prosciutto that they had to use to maintain their low prices (of $18.90 for a pizza). He did, however, apologise and in the end did not charge for the pizza and asked us to give him another chance.

I wanted to love it, but.... ...we walked away decidedly underwhelmed. The food just didn't do it for us, though I must say that the service was nothing short of fantastic. Perhaps we chose our meal poorly? The salsiccia (large, $16.00) was overpriced and unfortunately overcooked. The meat was very tough. It was served with about five olives and three small pieces of feta, along with some limp lettuce to garnish. For the price, I expected better and more. We also shared the 'Duel Of Woodfired Bread' special, which although nice, did not seem to have any of the zucchini and sundried tomato flavours that was promised. The Diavola-Boom! pizza had a lovely crisp base, but I was really put off by the gray sausage meat on top. What on earth caused it to go this colour? The creamy pesto chicken gnocchi was okay, but I was disappointed that the pasta wasn't fresh. Perhaps I was expecting too much. Having said that, the desserts were good value at $7.50.

I'm off to try Trattoria Valdarno next ... why oh why is it so difficult to find a good, authentic Italian restaurant that doesn't cost an arm and a leg in the western suburbs?
Lizzee Black
Bright and busy little restaurant spilling out onto the street. Owner flapped about somewhat before deciding where to seat us at our booked table. Nice staff, food ordering was erratic. Dishes not outstanding and two of the five mains arrived cold. Disappointing overall.
JJ
My favourite italian. Can't tell you how much I love this place. Hidden gem. Maurizio is such a lovely character. The food is authentic and you can taste the love in it! I love that it is small and cosy, I feel like I escape to a little italian trattoria every time I visit. There's nothing better than a bowl of lambretta pasta, insalta mista, garlic bread and a glass of wine, sitting out the front and people watching.
Peter
Nice, food is decent and warm atmosphere. Owner is lovely.

Lovely. Food was very nice and we were served very quickly. Staff were helpful. It was very load especially if you are seated near the front counter.

A genuine jarrah log fire. On a cold winters evening what a pleasure to be eating delicious pasta (the Wira Wira Church Block went well with it) infront of a genuine hand-stoked jarrah fire

A great place to eat!!. Lambretta is one of my favorite restaurants in Perth. Maurizio and his staff do a wonderful jjob to create an authentic Italian experience. great food and great service. It's like dining in a small local restaurant in Italy. The pollo gnocchi is to die for, the salsiccia is a great starter and they have great specials. If the barramundi is on the blackboard... order it! Congrats Maurizio, quite simply... Bellisimo!!
Kamis
Nice neighbourhood italian restaurant... with a great name as well! The food is just typical Italian with a nice taste of freshly home made! Nice service too....

Loves it. Lambretta is so cute and authentic...reasonably priced, great friendly owners and good real italian food..a must try
The Sneaky Pigeon
Honest, fresh and original flavour combos. This place gets the thumbs up from me! The complimentary homemade bread and evo/balsamic was almost as good as the main meal! I ordered the calamari salad which was cooked perfectly and seasoned so well. My fellow diners enjoyed their rocket salad (albeit a tad over dressed) and pizza special which was zucchini, red onion and blue cheese - a great combination! This restaurant steps outside the box with their pizza and pasta toppings without negating from true italian cuisine. Bella

LAMBRETTA CUCINA ITALIANA. I don't feel like I missed out on traveling to Italy now that I have eaten at the Lambretta Cucina. 'Food for the soul' dining experience with great spirited exemplary service for the rest of Perth restaurants. Well decanted wine (Antinori merlot), never liked gnocci before but now I do, and pricing that again sets an example to the rest of Perth restaurants.
I now love Italian food whereas before I only liked it, but only Lanbretta Cucina's.

Lambretta - what most restaurants aspire to but usually fail. Love the restaurant; Gemma and Maurizio are lovely; and I remember when they 1st set up (2002?) there had been 3 or 4 restaurants before on that same spot, all had failed (could be an urban myth, but I like to think it's true).

Walk into Lambretta and you are struck with the warmth and family homespun feel. You get a personal welcome, and made to feel at home ("Ciao Charlie, how are the beautiful children"). It's usually packed as a result. We had our office a few doors down, and always took clients there. Now we are a few kms away, we still take clients there!

FOod - very nice; clean, quick, wholesome. Light lunches are great, evening meals wonderful atmosphere. Customer service - exemplary. It's what every restaurant should aspire too, but so few manage it. Gemma and Maurizio - don't change!
Local Frenchie
Maurizio and Gemma's fixture add to the community feel of Hampden Road. Fell in love with the spaghetti Nero! Lambretta has now been a favourite of mine for the last couple of years.

The place are pretty small and can be really busy cramming all the patrons into a small dining room. however food compensate for it all. the pizzas are gerat and the homemade pastas are yummy, the dishes are well priced. and the bald owner is a real crack up, hes great once you get to know him!

Boisterous Italian Dining. I come here every couple of months with "The Boys". The maître d', Maurizio, is energetic and fun. He'll take care of your dining needs in a flash. In exchange for the quick service, you are expected to eat fast, order more and leave promptly. It's a real Italian kitchen!

A small dining area with a high turn over of customers. If you are looking for a slow, romantic dinner; try somewhere else. Bookings essential if you want to avoid a wait, especially for more than 2 people.

Interesting parking options, be prepared to walk a hundred metres if you come at peak time (pretty much whenever it's open).

Bad. The bald guy that owns it can be a pain in trying to kick you out to make way for another customer. And I am also quite sure they use MSG in there lobster as it makes you VERY thirsty afterwards.
Just A University Student
While on the outside the restaurant may appear to be just another small student oriented institution on Hampden Road, inside it's simply beautiful. Upon walking into Lambretta Cucina Italiana, the first thing that hits you is the smell of the delicious food, and then the warmth of the wood fire in the back section of the restaurant. Being greeted by the friendliest owner I've ever met is a great touch too. This is one place where customer service and atmosphere are taken seriously. While it may be in competition with the slightly larger Tiamo Restaurant just down the road, in my opinion, Lambretta Cucina Italiana wins hands down when it comes

Lambretta is a personal favourite Italian restaurant that I fell in love with during my uni days about 4-5 years ago (dang I’m old!). With a really humble size to this establishment, you will get a feeling of intense warmth when you walk in, often greeted
