Last night I enjoyed my birthday celebrations at The West End Deli for dinner with my friends and have to say I have NO idea what establishment those MKR females and the STM recently reviewed; rest assured it was not this place!!!
The service we received was top class with the friendliest of waiters who joined in our banter (that's important for a bunch of Scottish women!), they clearly knew the menu well and explained each dish to us making excellent recommendations, service of drinks and food was timely and to be honest perfectly spaced.
As for the food - WOW!!!! We were blown away at how delicious, beautifully presented and generous the portions were as each dish was served. We shared 3 smalls between the five of us to start, then each of us ordered a BIG for mains and of course dessert to finish. My dessert even came out with a surprise sparkler on it because they knew it was my Birthday!!! Such a lovely personal touch.
Every single course was the most pleasurable assault on our tastebuds. At the end of our evening each person at the table agreed it was up there as one of the best meals we had enjoyed in Perth - and believe me we all like to do the rounds of Perth's restaurants!!

Love the fresh daily baked baguettes - fluffy and soft on the inside and flaky on the outside.
I asked if BLT was still available and fret not, it still is! (It just isn’t on the menu) Decided to try something new, and got the pork belly baguette @ $15 - the pork belly was crispy, nicely paired with a few crunchy onion rings and flavorfully balanced with the sweetness and sourness of the chutney and apple coleslaw respectively.
I haven’t been here in over a year yet their food is still just as good as I remembered. Props for being consistent 👍🏻
***Hope that you guys would eventually bring back the chicken, camembert and cranberry jam baguette!
I have been coming here for years, not the biggest menu but the things they do they do well. bread is amazing And the thick bacon a nice touch. Staff are always proud of what they are doing and place has a great lay out.
I like the feel of this little cafe tucked off the main road in suburbia. Breakfast menu has some interesting options ranging from the usual eggs and toast, to baguettes and ‘carrot cake’ porridge. Settled on poached eggs with tomato ricotta & coriander (good), and the stretched curds (tasty). Coffee was great and the staff were attentive. Nice relaxed place to have a lazy breakfast.
So so so love their breakfast - it’s so simple yet so delicious. Usually my brother and I opt for their poached eggs with a slab of THICK bacon (not the thin ones which sometimes they have when they do not have these ones in check) or if not, their Thai inspired sausage is quite good too. I am not a fan of the beans though - a bit too much for me.
Their coffee is fantastic also. It’s a tad sad that they don’t offer the real spicy chai lattes (not a fan of powder)

Cool little corner cafe, that serves the customers fast & efficiently. Very well organised staff. We decided to try the 3 egg omelette with goat cheese ♥️!! So soft and light . I had poached eggs and the bacon and it was also delicious.. great coffee too. Now I know why everyone had been telling me to try this place .

The 3 egg omelet with goats cheese was delicious!! I would have preferred the baguette to be toasted and probably should have asked but know to request it toasted for next time

Overall a lovely brunch Location. Staff were friendly and accommodating of dietary restrictions/ allergies and explained the menu. On the pricey side, but inline with most Perth brunch locations. ($57 for 2 people) It's a little noisy when busy inside.
Amazing food, and the service was ridiculously good on a busy morning. Pea-guac is a match made in heaven and that bacon could be close to the best I've ever had.
Love the atmosphere and their rustic layout.
Food was absolutely amazing. A little on the pricey side but it is pretty big. Cheese just oozes out of the Brie baguette.
Bring a friend so that you guys can order two and try both flavors!

Wanted something different for breakfast (so many places lack originality) and thought I'd try out West end.
The positive reviews are well deserved.
Let's get the basics out of the way: The location is on a nice suburban street with ample parking. The restaurant itself has many nice large tables that are spaced a good distance apart from each other. There is table service so you don't have to "lineup and pay first" as though you're in a mess hall.
The menu was extensive with the usual brekkie basics as well as some very interesting choices. The dish I ordered had bread, kale, eggs, cheese and a mushroom terrine (this replaced the avo). It tasted great, was the right portion and very well presented. I didn't have coffee today but the white tea I had was very unique and enjoyable.
Highly recommended if you haven't yet been.
