Review Simple Italian Cucina Pizzeria - Perth

After seeing the Google reviews we decided to take our friends here for a birthday treat but we were slightly disappointed. The portion of the pasta was very small. The taste was really average. The quality of mussels was not good. The pizza was okay! And dessert was pretty average too. Lipsticks on one of our drinking glasses and fork still had food stain. Service was hit n miss probably due to lack of staff on a public holiday.

I visited for the first time on a Monday night when not many restaurants are open. Simple is very pretty and cozy. The environment has a beautiful and pleasant lighting and decoration. The service was kind, friendly, and attentive, we were very pleased. The pizzas are delicious. The dough and fillings are made with quality ingredients. The dough is thin and tasty. It is possible to order pizzas with half in one flavor and half in another. This time we chose a 4 Formaggi, Suprema, Appetitosa and Calabrese. We also ordered a Mango Mule Mocktail (it is not alcoholic) and it was delicious. The restaurant also has many other options for entrees, pastas, meats, wines, drinks, and others. I believe the most requested are pizzas. The experience at the restaurant was very good so I will definitely come back.

We ordered the simple pizza, the toppings were good but unfortunately the crust was slightly undercooked (but still perfectly edible). The gnocchi was creamy and had a good texture! Staff were rlly pleasant and helpful!

We had a work group dinner at Simple Italian. Because we pre-booked, we didn't have to wait. The food was excellent (in my opinion). I ordered the Parma ham & mushroom pizza (pictured) with a side salad. It was delicious. Although I didn't personally pay, the menu prices reflect the quality ingredients used in the food. Not too expensive for what you get. The service seemed pretty good and we didn't wait long for the food to arrive. The venue inside was welcoming with an authentic Italian ambiance.

Very attentive staff. We came in for lunch and it wasn't too crowded which was nice. I ordered the tuna and it was amazing. Pan seared on the outside, medium rare on the inside. Just the right amount of olive oil and salt. The dish was very well balanced in terms of taste. 10/10 for the simplicity and taste. Thoroughly enjoyed my meal.

Simple is good. Simple is often enough. And in the case of the cucina named Simple they have absolutely nailed it. This place is worthy of a much more hip location, like Gastown Vancouver or Shenzhen Special Economic Zone, PRC. The atmosphere is lively, young, fresh and just sophisticated enough without leaving you feeling out of your depth; relaxed and good quality.

Lovely experience here! I ordered a vegan gf pizza and no joke, it was the best pizza I have had! I also ordered a G&T and as you can see in this image it came as the best G&T I've even been served 😂❤️ absolutely delicious and lovely staff, highly recommend.

the best pizza place in Perth! just perfect from the dough to the toppings not to mention the costumer service, amazing. we ordered the Vegana as we're both vegans and it was spectacular. 10/10

My daughter & I had a meal here ladt night before the Celine Dion concert. No complaints what so ever meal was to die for and service nothing short of excellence. Cant wait to come back and try something else on the menu My daughter is had the snapper & I had the chicken parmi Yum yum pigs b*m �

We had a really nice meal, found the staff to be very polite. Only downfall was the table was very small and a bit of a squeeze to eat our dinners. Will definitely be back again

Food on point! Very traditional and tasty tasty tasty! One of Perth’s best Italian joints for sure and well worth a visit!

Loved the food and the ambience. BEST italian resto in town in my opinion. Been here 4 times this month and they never fail to deliver good food. Highly recommended;-)

Takeaway pizza was good & staff really friendly<br/>My only question would be that from ordering to receiving the pizza took a total of 5 minutes to make which seems like a very short period of time if it was cooked fresh.<br/>

Just dont tell them the seafood meal didnt smell right, the whole table agreed!. I think as a patron it is a right to be able to return something that isnt right...or is it just me being fussy not wanting to be sick for the next week.<br/>Awesome job with the decor, but extremely poor customer service to go off at the client about returning the plate, some chefs need to drop the arrogance in this industry. Wait staff were great but will never return with our group of 10 again.

I ordered garlic bread and lasagna. Garlic bread dripping with oil, rubbery and $14 ! (On menu $12 bad enough!) lasagna bland and on (menu $25) charged $28. Advised we charge more because “we haven’t changed our menus yet! “

Such an amazing ambience and welcoming attitude from staff make you truly feel like a member of the family here at this restaurant. Such an incredible vibe as soon as you enter, just like a big European hug! And the decor is just devine. Perfect place for a date, family gathering, or to tackle some extra work that needs to be completed (like me this evening).<br/><br/>And wow, the food is just incredible - and it's not just me talking. Numerous people throughout the restaurant had the same experience and commented about it at some stage (either whilst eating or whilst paying the bill). I thoroughly enjoyed my serve of home-style cannelloni this evening with an ample amount of tasty side salad.

The ambiance and vibe was nice and classic itialian. Both dishes had flavour and came out quick, but the dishes were served cold and with stale bread.

Stopped in to try our luck with a takeaway pizza tonight from here, very yummy indeed !! Base and toppings were delicious!! I would highly recommend to anyone that likes great food.

THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!! Family runned and owned. very very nice spot for dinner or even a quick work lunch. we order lamb and a few pastas which were amazing. the pizza was very nice too, definitely authentic! <br/>Would 100% recommend.

Took my family of 5, 2 children 3 adults to Simple last night on their recommendation. Unfortunately the usual chef was having a break and the experience was far from enjoyable. Started well.... ambience was lovely, staff welcoming... entrees OK. We were first customers so there was no pressure on chef. Kids shared lasagne which they enjoyed but the other mains were not good. My daughter- in -law's pasta with seafood was OK except for the seafood. The mussels hadn't been cooked fresh...still were cold from fridge, very dry and the prawns rubbery. My lamb was tough, tasteless and anaemic....with little sauce/ broth to moisten it and the broccoli, frankly laughable. My son said his barramundi was like nothing he'd ever tasted before...rubbery and tasteless. The waitress took the mussels back to the kitchen to be reheated. The grand-kids were getting a little anxious about the experience so we played it down. The bill came to $178 and on paying this told the waitress of our experience. She asked if I would like to request discount from chef. In retrospect I should have pursued that but didn't want a fuss with my children and grandchildren. So today rang and spoke to owner cos my anger had escalated. Usual justifications and an offer of discount or bottle of wine on our return. I won't be going back. $178 a lot of money for a bad experience!

Very nice deco, quite casual but cultural. I had pizza and caesar salad, food was great. I want to go back and try other menu.<br/>Friendly service but a bit pushy for their opinion.<br/>Nice to place for date.<br/>Better make booking if you willing to go at peak time.

Had a great meal here. Pizzas were nice and big too. Had to wait a while between entre and main but was worth it. Truffle and mushroom pasta was awesome. Love the cider too. Highly recommended.

Great food. Tradition Italian, that isn't heavy like those old school 90s Italian places. This is proper Italian. Lovely interior, friendly staff and good prices. Definitely recommend is looking for a place to eat in town.

This restaurant is quiet a big restaurant the staff was very nice and friendly. It is very up marketed restaurant. Suitable for a date of a party. We felt underdressed lol! <br/><br/>I came here with a couple of friends,. One was gluten intolerant, one was vegetarian, the 3 of us all ordered pizza. The pizza are huge!!!! <br/><br/>We had Arancini balls they where amazing and full of flavour!!’<br/><br/>The gluten pizza was one of the best gluten pizza basses my friend has ever tried! Coming from an Italian person it is amazing. The pizza had lots of topping, it was Hawaiian,<br/><br/>Then second pizza was meat loved which also was amazing it was full of flavour and cooked to perfection, <br/><br/>The best on of them all was my pizza it was the burian and half simple pizza. Iv tried the mushroom pizza in Melbourne and here was by far the best. <br/> <br/>I finished off on a soy coffee it also was good. <br/> I Highly recommend this place. Not sure why the rating is so low for this restaurant .

Very pleasant and welcoming atmosphere. If you like Italian food this place is great for woodfired oven pizza and home made pasta. I loooove their Cannelloni ricotta e spinaci 😋.

Visited for the first time 2 weeks after they opened. They mixed up a part of our order but it doesn't matter - we ended up trying the 4 cheeses pizza instead of the 4 cheeses gnocchi and we weren't complaining! The food is fantastic! Everything was so tasty, nothing to fault at all. Staff are very nice and want to make everything go smoothly. The decor is really cute - gives off a very Italian feel and we can see the pizza being made.<br/>The second time we went it was packed because of a show at the Perth Arena that night but the service was still very quick! They didn't allow the "specials" to be ordered because of how busy they were which was ashame but nevermind, I'll just have to go back.
