Review Little Bird Cafe - Perth

Lydia G
Very nice atmosphere. Good choice of food and drinks. Firstly got a piece of cake I didn't order, but they swapped it quickly without issue. Vegan pineapple-coconut cake ($9.50) was lovely, but couldn't eat the icing as too much sugar for me. Iced Matcha (~$5) was good. Eggs Benedict perfect.

Visited a couple times, ordered the buckwheat pancakes and then the popcorn chicken tacos, both where really nice. The menu is decent and has a lot of gluten free options. It’s not table service which is a bit annoying and the line to order can sometimes take a while but the food came out pretty quick considering how busy it was. The venue is also nice and is bigger then it looks.

Best buckwheat pancakes in town! Plenty of vegan options too. Shakes are great (usually ask for extra chocolate as the normal isn't chocolatey enough for my buds). Been going for years & have had nothing but great food & great service. Love sitting out in the little outdoor area in summer too to enjoy the delicious food

A great little Cafe - probably one of the top 5 burgers I've ever had!

Love their vegan buckwheat pancakes 🥞😍 Also lots of other tasty vegan sweet treats. It would be even if they had savoury vegan cabinet food

Friendly, vibee, Cafe, nice selection of comfortable couches, chairs & tables set in a good size Cafe. Great selection of bakery items baked on site and good yummy servings of Cafe food. Excellent Coffee served in generous sizes served at your spot by the Owner & Fam. Situated on Palmerston Street near the heart of Northbridge, well worth a drop in...

Great coffee, delicious food, super friendly staff, and nice doggo outside.

Not great but good coffee, great service. But when the kids don't eat the pancakes... somethings wrong. Smashed avo was a winner!

It was hard to converse cos the place was quite echoey even though there weren’t many people. The tables were a little too close for my liking but more annoying was that I asked for my food to be served with the rest of my friends who haven’t arrived at that point. But they served mine early anyway 😤 the servings with pulled beef was way too big. Beef was tender although chorizo were pretty tough. It took quite a while for our food to come even though it wasn’t that busy. But there aren’t that many places you can book for brunch so I’ll tolerate it.
Jess Reynolds
The presentation of the food is pretty, but this makes it deceiving that there is lots served on the plate. The food is yummy but a bit pricey for what its worth. A nice place to go with a friend, especially if theyre vegan or vegetarian!

happy to have found my new favorite cafe in the city, service was spot on, coffee was the best I've had in a long time and I have take-away every day. The workout bowl was awsome so much taste and everything worked so well together. Also, the naughty treat of a caramel doughnut was superb! No negatives as ticked all the boxes from staff to atmosphere to menu to taste to value for money. Looking forward to working my way thru the menu!
Judie153
Exellent customer service and the cakes are super delicious and so pretty!! I will be back for some cake orders.
Gulilovesfood
I had the chicken salad and my partner had the beef burger. He was amazed and said it’s one of the best burgers he had. I really enjoyed my salad and their smoothies and protein shakes are absolutely amazing. Love the keto options and just the healthy ingredients in general. Will definitely be back 😍🙏🏽

Had brekkie here today and really impressed.  Much better than the last cafe here (Gather?).  Varied and yummy sounding menu.  Nice, friendly staff.  Scrambled eggs on toast are nice pretty much everywhere but these were superlative.  Very good coffee.  And liked the thoughtful touches like bringing each table a jug of fruited water.   Lovely looking cakes too and juice menu, although I didn't try those.  Will definitely be going back.

I absolutely adored checking out the newly opened Little Bird Cafe. The staff were incredible from the second we walked through the door. Greeted with a smile and lovely banter we loved all of the food selections, seating options and atmosphere of the cafe! There was plenty on the menu to choose from especially for someone with so many dietary requirements. It’s a beautiful cafe with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, delicious food both to eat in & takeaway. Highly recommend a visit to this place for the perfect breakfast or brunch spread! Can’t wait to visit again!

This place is great... if you like paying $4 for a coffee the size of your thumb (and it was a latte, not an espresso!). I had to double check they hadn’t accidentally given me a baby chino!! No good since they changed management and their name to Gather Northbridge 👎
Food_Glorious_Food
Came here for the first time for breakfast with a friend. Menu was a bit odd and not very clear as to what each dish actually was - we struggled to find anything that we wanted to eat. Settled on poached eggs and toast to be safe (very plain) and a berry smoothie bowl (pretty presentation and quite nice). Coffee was good, quite a few unusual extras on the menu like mushroom lattes and ‘dried mushroom superfood powder’ if you’re so inclined.
Natasha
New menu sucks. I was told it’s under new management (and obviously a new chef too). As such, it would be good if they could change the cafe’s name to reflect this. It’s deceiving to capitalise on a name of a completely different cafe. <br/><br/>A group of us had breakfast here this morning and nothing on the new menu made sense (there were vague descriptions of the unusual menu items - and you have to add bread to everything), the options were limited and all the old favourites have disappeared. Everyone just ended up ordering side dishes of eggs and toast to build their own breakfasts. We saw some of the menu dishes come out and they looked like small servings. Oh well, so long Little Bird Cafe - you were great once upon a time and we’ll miss you :(
Jessica Smith
What a shame! Myself and many friends have enjoyed going to the bird for years - due to its diverse menu and healthy bowl options. The menu has completely changed - it’s tiny with none of the delicious healthy options we used to order. On arriving to the cafe today my friend and I were alarmed to see the change in menu not to mention uncomfortable seats (those who knew the bird before knew of its comfortable decor). Both of our meals were just .. okkkkayyyy. Flavour was lacking and the portions were small. So sad to see our one of our favourites go! Time to find a new local.
El Choco
Often come here for coffee and cake after dinner. A great selection of cakes, brownies etc. to endulge in and the coffee is amazing!. A small, cosy establishment not (yet!) overwhelmed by the masses.

Food order:<br/>Beans with chorizo, poached egg and fried polenta - 5/5.<br/>Vegan chickpea burger - 2/5. According to my mum, the turmeric powder was overpowering the chickpea patty which in general gave a sour taste to the burger. Also eating it, was a nightmare, everything was falling all over the place. Not a good feeling for her, she did not enjoy it.<br/>French toast - 5/5<br/><br/>Drinks:<br/>Hot Chocolate - 4/5<br/>Mocha - 4/5<br/><br/>Total bill: $58.50<br/><br/>Hero dish: french toast.<br/><br/>Verdict: great cafe spot situated in Northbridge with a cosy atmosphere inside. Nice tables and attentive staff to cater your needs. It would be nice if menu cards were placed on the tables. But a nice cafe spot which has plenty of gluten fee and vegan food choices that should please a particular kind of crowd and general crowd alike with excellent coffee and smoothie choices.<br/><br/>

What a hidden gem in northbridge!<br/>We were pleasantly surprised with the good food and coffee.<br/>Everything came out pretty quickly which was nice.<br/>We had the spicy beans and the beef burger. Both were 100%<br/>And for brunch nowadays, extremely good prices too I will definitely be back<br/>The spicy beans were so so hearty and delicious and the polenta was bomb.<br/>The burger was big, juicy and wholesome like it should be.<br/>There are also plenty of healthy options and drinks which is lovely<br/>One thing they could work on is better interior
GetinmyBelly
Love all the delectable awesome cakes that not only look great but tastes out of this world! Great little cafe tucked away where the ambience is relaxed and staff are friendly
The Stubborn Eater
I LOVE THIS PLACE SO MUCH. The service was so good. Four thumbs up for the staff. But I wish that they’d have more options of chocolatey dessert tho
Starving Quokka
If you love pancakes, this is a place to stop by.  They make fantastic buckwheat pancakes with fresh fruit and syrup. Great and friendly service, really good coffee shop in Perth.
Kayla Douglas
Ordered the goodah bowl with brown rice pumpkin and mushrooms. A big bowl comes out but when inspecting my plate it is filled with spinach with hardly half a cup of rice only three tiny pieces of pumpkin and 4 slices of mushroom. Good flavour but not worth $18 - I feel ripped off and hungry
Jayne
Such a cute cafe! Love how they have options that cater for different diets, but is all wholesome food. I had the vegan pancakes and tried the vegan burger another time, and they were both delicious! I also had the chocolate cake and it was the best cake I’ve ever had!! I dream of it to this day 😍
Arwenh
Love coming to this very quaint cafe for a chill out now and again. Always greeted with a friendly smile and feel very welcomed. One of my favourite dishes is the birds benedict ,it worth every cent at$18 . Love their coffee , just the perfect blend and not bitter . The Berry booster is also delicious and fresh .Do yourselves a favour and try this place . It a hidden gem .
HungryHippo122
I adore this place. Always relaxed and inviting. The chilled atmosphere is only outdone by the delicious, generous food. The sweets are scrumptious and cater for a variety of dietary requirements. Bring a napkin for the drool as you salivate over the cake selection... divine!
Akhilaa Kumar
Came here before and loved the birds benny but upon my recent visit my eggs were not poached correctly which was a grave disappointment but still all round good
Chwan 'CC' Wong
Great vibe and ambience here - fast becoming my regular hangout as I live in the neighbourhood. So far only been here for the coffee and it is consistently good! Food looks great too, can't wait to try!
Meika Atkins
Fabulous fresh, healthy and colourful breakfast! I love the natural feel of this little treasure, the food is always tasty (although, I have felt a recent decline in their generosity) and their dairy free smoothies are the best way to start off the day!
Onebiteatatime
Vegan peanut butter chocolate cake was absolutely divine. Meals, although reasonably tasty, did not live up to its price tag. <br/>May return for dessert and coffee, but will unlikely return for meals.
Isabella Crawford
Coffee was really good, but food is sadly overpriced. Service was quite friendly, it's a shame that the foods taste and cost let's them down.
Luka Neo
The food is delicious if you know what you’re expecting. My non vege friend ordered the vegan pancake thinking it’ll taste like a conventional pancake. Though I personally really do love the little bird cafe pancake my friend didn’t, so maybe keep that in mind. Not just the pancakes but the drinks and other options on the menu are very delicious and did make me feel healthy after eating it (lol)
Freya_14
Was extremely unhappy with the product we bought as a take away. Ended up paying nearly $20 for ONE slice of toast with some crappy avocado and two slices of tomato on top. Would not recommend the takeaway bruschetta!
S
Came here with my partner for lunch on a Sunday. I had the pancakes with fresh fruit, which was delicious! My partner had the lamb burger and he thoroughly enjoyed it.
Dan Adele
Love this place! Been here on multiple occasions and the food is always great, it's super healthy tasty and fresh! Great vibe and friendly service!

The food ROCKS!!<br/>I had one of the best Benedicts ever. The other dish was rhe Green Brekky Bowl. All round super tasty and well presented and creative. Very good Paleo type options for those who are into it. Atmosphere is great and the place is clean. Will def be going back several times to work all the way down the menu.. Well done guys..🙄 hmmm b..e..n..e..d..i..c..t

Was not too busy during weekday lunch. I enjoyed the buckwheat pancakes a lot but my friend thought that the steak was slightly dry and cold since the waitress wrote down the wrong table number and walked around for a while before finding us. The carrot cake was on the sweet side and I was not a fan of the raisins added inside the cake. Could possibly be that I had quite a bit of sweets with the pancake which made the dessert less appetising to me. Overall the dishes are presented very well
Paul Mannion
What has happened to table service? Lining up at one till with an order for 10? Do I have to be your waiter and write it down? Ever heard of up selling? Would you like another coffee?<br/>Food ordinary Service non existent. Might as well cook it myself too.<br/><br/>
Dan The Cake Man
Popular café in Northbridge; I was here on a rainy day at just after opening and there were already quite a few people here. They have plenty of space. Ordering is at the counter and I went with the Bird benedict with bacon and a long Mac topped up. Coffee and food came out promptly and was nicely presented. Brekkie was quite a large serve with two large crispy pieces of bread and nicely poached eggs on top. Plenty of sauce and egg ooze to mop up with the bread. Enjoyed the dish. Coffee was ok but not as strong as I normally like it.
RevU (get It Like... Review)
Tried my first eggs Benedict here and my golly gosh it still hasn't been topped. <br/>Great for groups and dates.<br/>Phenomenal, amazing, the audience clapped
Ilovebeansprouts
Food and coffee is average; but the presentation of food is creative and plated beautifully with gorgeous colours. I personally love the presentation of food more than the taste of the food. However, it's great that they offer a variety of healthy options; one of our top listed place to go if we have vegan friends for brunch. Nice, unique setting with a cozy touch.
Sheila Khan
I love the choices in this place. Vegan or non vegan they cater to everyone. Didn't really enjoy the coffee that much as it's a bit sour for my liking but they are not known for coffee 😬 nice spacious place and friendly staff.
Felicitous LP
Went for some early brekky, love the cafe setting, with some comfortable sittings and windows. Water was fancy with some colourful fruits and veggies floaters for flavour. Had the signature pancake and a chicken burger, it's average but in term of nutritional healthy I would give little Bird some extra point credits for creativity. Definitely a must try brunch place for sure!
Frankie
Great service. Went on a school day so it was super quick. We looked at pictures on zomato before going and was impressed. Both of us got eggs Benedict and I replaced mine with salmon and serving was generous and home made hollandaise sauce 👌 my girlfriend loved it. Good coffee and good cosy atmosphere decor.
Hana
Food was tasty - green bowl pretty standard and does what it says on the packet. The granola with matcha ice cream and tapioca was absolutely delicious! Coffee wasn't great and service average.
Natalie
An average breakfast with average service. A very cute cafe in a great location. If I go again I would order something different. Uncooked eggs and too much tomato for my liking.
Caitlin Taneal Capes
Such a great little place. Great decor and atmosphere. They always plate there food with beautiful colours and textures. I would recommend trying the 'caffeine dream' and buckwheat pancakes.
Hayley Butcher
First of all I'd give it a 0 but you can't aha !!! <br/>- buckwheat pancakes were disgusting and tasted like vomit. Not that I wanted another one but considering it cost 20$ you'd think you get more than one vomit tasting abomination.<br/>- we asked for scrambled eggs with the brekky bruschetta yet it came out with poached. 0/10 for customer service.<br/>- never mind this but the egg was so poached you could literally bounce the thing, we struggled to even open it. It was more like a boiled egg than anything else.<br/>- staff were rude and difficult..............<br/>Never coming again, and if you're not a vegan with a fringe who enjoys aesthetic appearing food that actually tastes like hot garbage, you shouldn't either.
Anika Fyfe
One of my favourite cafes - such genuine service and very consistent food. My staple is the granola and the pb cacao smoothie - both are SO good would thoroughly recommend. Sometimes slow service but worth it. Nicely decorated cafe and really suitable for small and big groups. Been coming here for ages and will continue to do so! www.anikajune.wordpress.com

Paleo breakfast bowl was the best I've had! Good selection of food for various food intolerances. Service was nice & I liked the space.<br/><br/>Been back for the workout bowl which was awesome. The buckwheat pancakes looked good also.<br/><br/>Diary free smoothies are delicious! It's a pity they serve in plastic takeaway with straw (even when dining in)
Amy
Loved the smashed lemon and mint avocado (I added a poached egg)! Thought the mint would be overpowering but it was lovely. Great coffee, although I prefer it a little hotter. A little expensive but I really enjoyed Little Bird Cafe👌🏻
Matt Without The Cravat
Absolutely amazing! Found this on instagram and went to try it, I had the panzenella with scrambled eggs and everything about it was amazing! The eggs were great and the ajvar was to die for! I also tried their salted choc chip cookie which was the icing on the cake. Will be back again!
Felicity
This place is very spacious and has a relaxing atmosphere. They even have couches for families with prams and little kids to sit comfortably while enjoying their breakfast. The jug of water with slices of fruits are free and is very refreshing while you wait for your breakfast to be cooked! I ordered the pancake with seasonal fruits and it was really delicious, nonetheless beautiful to look at! A place I would absolutely come back for a healthy breakfast.
Cool_yin89
Heard so much about the pancake, but to me personally wasn't my favourite, just didn't sit well with my taste bud. Ordered a bruschetta and it wasn't good. My husband and I would not come back again.
Cranky Crow
We hadn't been here in ages despite having good breakfasts in the past, so off we went to enjoy breakfast post-renovation. <br/><br/>The menu is as diverse as before, which I like. Breakfasts were a bit rushed and disappointing (unlike last time), 3 of the four poached eggs were hard boiled, and the bacon undercooked. I had to take part of the bacon out of my bacon and egg bagel as it was rubbery. My soy cappuccino was the best I'd ever had, but my family found their milk cappuccinos burnt and too milky. Service very friendly as always. This place could be great if they put a bit more care and skill toward the food.
Denise Koh
Came here for the first time and ordered their 'Bird benedict' with salmon, and a flat white. It wasn't the best eggs benedict I've had and they were a little bit stingy with the hollandaise sauce and salmon. Timber cafe covers both slices of toast with your choice of meat in their eggs benedicts for the same price and are more generous with their hollandaise sauce. My friend ordered the 'Smashed Lemon and Mint Avocado' and 'Matcha Mantra'. She was very pleased with the iced matcha drink and the smashed avocado was decent but at the end of the day, she payed $14 for avocado on toast. Most other places serve this dish with some cherry tomatoes or mushrooms or a poached egg or bacon- just something more than just avocado on toast. $18 for the benedict was a little too pricey, you can definitely get a better (and bigger serve of) benedict elsewhere for cheaper, however I did enjoy the salmon and their food was not bad overall.<br/><br/>I would like to come back to try their 'Steak and avocado' tacos but $21.50 is a little pricey for two small tacos without must steak. We also tried their 'Salted caramel cookie' and I loved how soft it was but I could taste the flour on/in it. Their coffee is also pretty decent and decently priced and the staff are really friendly! Would like to come back again but they overcharge for their small portions.
LazyPotato
Great food!! Loved their chicken quesadilla!! <br/><br/>Staff were all friendly except for the cashier :( was it because I was dining alone? Guess we'll never know...
Renato
Had an absolutely wonderful brunch at LBC. My chicken and bacon bagel was tasty and light (not a proper bagel but still yum) and my friend got the pancake, which was awesome. Great coffee too. 👍🏻<br/>
I.live.to.eat
staff were lovely, but food was pretty bland and quite pricey. unless you have restricted food preferences (e.g., they have a lot of non-dairy and healthy options, which limited the choices for those of us who actually just wanted something like a normal milkshake, and the prices for those options were very expensive) , probably better to go elsewhere.
Subifoodie
Little Bird reminds me of the glory days of Subiaco's Earth Market cafe... only it's better! Wonderful range of organic food and drinks all prepared and served by dedicated peeps. Will be a regular when next in town 😋

This is a cute little place but gets a truly bad mark for service.  I have been there a number of times for takeaway drinks and it takes longer and longer each time - the counter staff are attentive but the drink creation process is in dreamtime. Today we went in there for breakfast.  There were tables out on the sidewalk, an Open sign on the door, and staff behind the counter.  We walked in but were bluntly waved away, being told "sorry, we don't open until 8am" ----- given it was exactly 07.59am at the time, we did consider going outside and twiddling our thumbs for 60 seconds, but instead waltzed off and had a lovely breakfast over the road at the Monkey café.
Fen Bruncher
Food presentation is lovely! <br/>Used a photo from the start of 2016 as I forgot to take one this time round. Pancakes look a little different now, not as plump, round and fluffy but they still taste great!<br/>Service was okay but could be a little better at the till. <br/>Nice to come here when it's not too busy and be able to enjoy the homely dining room :)
Jamie-Lee Doherty
Absolutely loved the pancakes!! Both juice and coffee was also good! <br/>The services was amazing, food came out super fast and the staff are friendly!
Jen Hollingbery
Sorry guys but if you're going to charge nearly $5.00 for a coffee, get it right.<br/>Your Barristers obviously have no idea what temp the milk should be a for a latte. Mine was stone cold.<br/>People's first early morning coffee is the most important one, get it right !<br/>Won't be going back.
Marcia Oey
Surrounded by a cosy ambiance, Little Bird is my go-to brunch cafe in the city area. Dishes that never disappoint would be the buckwheat pancake, strawberry & tahini smoothie or a good breakfast bruschetta with avocado. They also have a lovely array of various cakes and freshly prepared to-go food that is delicious. Thanks for always being consistent!
Tyson Jon Cable
Cool place. Has a younger scene but you'll see family's here for breakfast on weekends. Coffee is great, large is just a little more so upgrade. My partner and i thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the comfy chairs soaking up the atmosphere. Foods great.
Ango11
Yummy pancake, coffee and juice 👌. Café nice and spacious, good tunes.
Chloe-eats
Had lunch here and ate the best pancake of my life! And it was vegan! The Love Tonic juice was also amazing, however I was disappointed to see it in a takeaway plastic cup even though I was dining in. The venue is cute, staff are attentive, and you're greeted with some cucumber water upon arrival! Will definitely be returning here.
SweetPoison
Came here this morning for breakfast. We arrived not long after it opened at 8am. The outdoor area is super cute so thought we would catch some morning sun. One of the staff members informed us that she would be cleaning with chemicals outside so suggested we sat indoors. This was fine with us- the cafe is huge and indoor seating was just as gorgeous. Our coffees came out prompt and hot. Ordering was fuss free- no drama at all with just ordering sides. The menu is extensive and exciting. Food was well portioned and delicious. Crispy bacon was actually crispy. They had jugs of water that you could take to the table filled with fresh fruit! This place def does breakfast right! Highly recommend!

After that “Gather” fiasco, Little Bird is back and fantastic once again. It seems someone agreed when I said “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it!”😊😊😊
FineDiners
This cafe has a decent selection of food and drinks, some unique options too. The quality of food is good. <br/><br/>Love the look of their cakes, which is why I had to try one. Even more so the fact they had a gingerbread cake... I've never come across one at a cafe before. It was a little sweet with the icing/cream but picking that out, the gingerbread part was great. <br/><br/>Service was ok. Setting is good. A cafe I could return to to try some other options.
Dentalnurse
Lovely cafe, fresh healthy food. Taste sensations. Had pancakes which were amazing. The smashed avo with bacon was so tasty too! Service imoeccable and staff so friendly. Going again!
Lulu's Opinion
I love this place. I think I go there about once a month if not more. Almost every time we go I'd get the caffeine dream frappe which totally makes up for the fact I don't really like their soy milk. I also get the avocado mint smash with a poached egg. It's a really generous serve of avocado which is impressive nowadays. My friends have highly rated their panzanella, the bird Benedict and the bruschetta. Oh! And they have fruit infused water in jugs, really lovely healthy cakes and their choc brownie is amongst the best I've eaten. So... if you haven't been before. Go immediately! It's great!
Carissa
Came here for my friend's birthday brunch and had a delightful experience. Very pleased with their customer service and food was colourful - as expected!
Al Wilson
Very friendly Service, Great coffee and a fantastic protein shake. Very nice decor. Wish this place was my local cafe. Will be back for sure 😊
Matt
Visited Little Bird Cafe for breakfast with a couple of friends on a Saturday morning.  Glad we could book a table as it was pretty packed.  The service is relatively quick and friendly, however I was surprised to see meals come out before drinks.  The meals are nothing fancy, but tasty nonetheless.  The drink range is decent, with a range of 'alternative' smoothies, juices and coffees.  Not a bad option for a drink, but there's some better options in the area.
Yum
I love this place! The green breakfast bowl is my favourite. Coffee is excellent. The staff could be more helpful - we had to seat ourselves, find menus, fill water jug. The food is is fantastic.
Bonny
First thing - the food and drinks all looked amazing!! I had the buckwheat pancake and wow it was Devine! Also had a berry protein smoothie that was quite nice. Originally wanted a juice but the machine was broken. Staff seemed nice but I've seen better... hoping to go back soon and try the Bircher 😊
Fussy Eater 101
Not the biggest fan of these 'healthy eating' cafes but the atmosphere defiantly makes up for it. A lot of options for food and drinks, great hot chocolates and coffees but also their salted caramel chocolate chip cookies are to die for!
Bynn
Had breakfast w my friend, everything was fine. Nothing impressed but their drinks menu. A good place for people who want to hv a healthy meals.
B & M
Great flat white with a great pattern on top, and awesome Dr. Juice (Beetroot, celery, apple, lemon, ginger & carrot. <br/>Delicious food.... Burger and Bagel. <br/>Good service.
Ced
What a nice find! Great cafe with lots and lots of Vegan and healthy options!! The place has a nice feel and those cakes they have on the counter are all screaming "eat me!" At you! I had a go at their pancake and oh my, it was delish! Rose water kombucha was also really good and refreshing, great for summer. Will definitely be back again to try other stuff they have!
Kat Foodie
I stopped by here to buy a drink this arvo. I decided to try their smoothies and ordered the choc and peanut butter smoothie. Unfortunately, I thought it was really bad. The texture was thick and had little pieces of solids floating through it. At first you couldn't identify the chocolate and only a strong banana flavour. I got this in a takeaway cup and I couldn't even finish 1/2 of it, only about 1/4 before I decided I couldn't carry on drinking it and had to throw it in the bin. I also though the amount of smoothie I got, considering I paid close to $10 was very unequal. The smoothie was in a medium to small sized cup so I thought it was overpriced.<br/><br/>Service was great and staff were super friendly. However, I thought the interior and seating arrangements were quite sloppy. The furniture and decorations clashed. <br/><br/>I might come back here to try their food but would defiantly not recommend the smoothie.

Came here for a Saturday afternoon coffee. (Admittedly this place closes at 4pm and we got there at 315pm seemed like they were already closing up only two other tables in service) the atmosphere is nice and we ordered coffees along with a banana bread and a salted caramel bliss ball. Both of these were delicious and no complaints there! The banana bread was well spiced and moist, the bliss ball was full of flavour! Both of these came out before the coffees. However we had eaten this by the time we got our in house coffees. We ordered a large skinny flat white and a large flat white. But out came (15 mins later) a small flat white and a small latte. Not even what we ordered!!! The barista came out and realised she'd made a mistake and asked what we ordered (again!!) then 10 mins later our coffees came out. I had the large skinny flat white and it was lukewarm and too milky!!! I didn't even finish it. Obviously a large should have two shots of coffee but I guess these guys are saving that for the next cup. Wouldn't go there for coffee again. Very disappointed with this place considering the reviews on here.

Yummy food! Had the big Vegan pancake which was delicious. Smoothies were great too! Staff was friendly and great atmosphere - only thing was we weren't expecting quite so many birds! The small outdoor section had quite alot of noisy crows that made it difficult to hear each other talk. I guess it is in the name though! Great experience overall.
Bottomlesspit
10/10 for my coffee 0/10 for service. The girl on the till was plain rude, which is a shame because it ruins it for everyone else. My mocha was divine. So chocolatey and creamy, one of the best I have had in Perth. My sisters rose water kombucha was to die for. There cakes and smoothie menu look amazing. Id love to come back and try what looks like a great breakfast menu.
Kate Malcolm
Be very careful of this restaurant. A small party of seven had breakfast here last week and there were discrepancies on the bill. One person in particular was over charged by 35% BE WARE!!!!!!!!!
Thehangryhippo
Nice, chilled-out vibe from the place and staff.<br/>Refurb furniture, wooden slab tables and colourful chairs kinda feel. There's an outdoor zone too. Music was upbeat but place was kinda quiet (probably cos we were out for brunch on a Monday). Complimentary water served with fruit - is the only thing that sets this place from other cafes.<br/>Food was ok - had the Panzanella (Chorizo, poached egg, bacon, fresh tomato slice, bread, capsicum puree). Nothing overly memorable about the dish besides the pan fried bread being too buttery/oily and the salty thick cut chorizo having to be cut with a butter knife. Hard to enjoy a meal when each time the blunt knife slipped, sounded like nails on a chalk board. Pricey menu..had a similar dish with Chorizo+egg+mashed avocado+grilled cherry tomatos+roast pumkin+ciabatta at another cafe in South Perth for bigger portion and cheaper..<br/>Overall was ok.<br/>
Mrs. Traveller
I came here to order some take away for brunch. I ordered flat white and a chicken bagel. Coffee was delicious! We didn't have to wait long for our order. I would come back next time to try dine in for brunch :)
Jessica Howlett
The green bowl here is delicious as are the smoothies. Very reasonably priced considering it's Perth. Try adding bacon or salmon to the green bowl and you get a decent sized amount...unlike other places that charge an extortionate amount for extra and give you a tiny amount. Points off however for the attitude of one particular waitress. Maybe it was just a bad day for her but don't bring your problems to work. Especially when it's in hospitality.
Vanessa Gaglia
I love this cafe! The sweets on display look amazing, and the food is great too. The smoothies are nice, and they cater for people who are vegan. Not an overly crowded place, which is good. Service time is fast, and food has always been hot when arrived.
Daniel Coicheci
Had a pancake as I had heard it was really good, it wasn't too bad, presentation was lovely but the meal itself had too much going on, recommended to stick with only one sauce, it was good to have banana and strawberries on it to balance out the sweetness and the mint leaves was also a little fresh hit, pancake itself was soft and thick cooked to perfection but the passion fruit on top was too much, defiantly suggest to keep it a little more simple definitely had too much going on overall a nice place to eat, I also believe a little to over priced for what was served

Service was great and food came out really fast and was delicious. I ordered the breakfast bruschetta and dairy free smoothie which were both great however I would have liked more chocolate flavour in the smoothie. Atmosphere was great, would recommend to all

Loved this Cafe BUT and so wish there wasn't a but and all over asking for another tea bag to finish off a sizeable pot of hot water and milk, offered to pay for said teabag and was told that would be $5.00 as now became tea for two? Be warned, take your own teabags ya`ll... Apart from this trifling splitting of hairs, highly recommended.

Food here was absolutely stunning! <br/>The buckwheat and coconut pancake was a show stopper. Topped with a generous amount of maple cinnamon cashew cream, as well as seasonal fruits and shredded coconut, this was a feast to eat. Albeit pricey at $20, it's an awesome alternative from the usual pancakes and hashbrowns. The cashew cream was really unique, with a wonderful nutty aroma that paired perfectly with the pancake. The pancake, isn't like our usual ones. It's crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside, plus the use of buckwheat flour gives it a nutty texture. Really loved this and would definitely go for it again (: <br/>The breakky bagel came with bacon, a fried egg and rockets. Was evident that the bagel was really fresh, as it was beautifully fluffy and not stale at all. An ideal breakfast situation. <br/>Chai latte, coffee was all good, though milk could be hotter. Or maybe the weather cooled it down too quickly xD <br/>Easy to find this café, loud (but rly nice) music plays on both the outside and inside of the cafe; located opposite dominoes. Really spacious and friendly staff. Free wifi is limited to 30 mins per user.<br/>Love this place (:

been here twice, loved everything i tried. the raw lasagne was so fresh and tasty, smoked salmon bagel was generously filled and the bagel itself was really good unlike some places that don't even boil them, i LOVE THEIR CAKES. tried the lemon and the carrot. LOOOVVVEEE. and coffee has been consistently good too.

Nice place. Coffees good, pulled lamb dog and chorizo egg bacon with capsicum sauce was tasty. Extensive juices and vegetarian options for those inclined

A very interesting yet a cute place for brunch! Perfect for hang outs. The portion is very generous and the flavour is tasty. Got a little bit of sweet and salty in one plate. However the dish is quite not worth the price ☹

Tucked away in a corner, is the Little Bird Cafe. I ordered the vegan bircher muesli with rosewater syrup and it was very sweet, almost too sweet for my liking but the banana and coconut buckwheat pancakes are the best!!

We came here for brunch 2 weeks ago and we didn't leave disappointed, nor overly impressed. My best friend ordered the panzanella and quite enjoyed her meal, but did make a note of the oiliness of the dish, I'm guessing from the fried sourdough. She said the dish as a whole had good flavours but the bread and chorizo together were too salty. I got the banana and coconut buckwheat pancake and wow it looked really good when it first arrived but the burnt tasted really put me off. The pancake itself was massive but it tasted dry and nowhere as fluffy as what pancakes should be, not sure if it's due to the coconut buckwheat or if they overcooked the pancake. Both dishes were half way there for us, they had good individual elements but as a whole not so great. For desserts we ordered gingerbread cake and salted caramel cheesecake. The gingerbread cake tasted amazing, but it was dry. That salted caramel cheesecake though, I died and went to heaven! It was smooth, creamy and the salted caramel was spot on!! My lemon kombucha was amazing and so was my friend's rose water kombucha, they were both so potent it was awesome! I'd definitely come back to this place, it has great potentials but would probably either order 2 desserts and 1 savoury to share next time, or 2 savoury dishes and 1 dessert. The portion was massive!

Went there with my family and ordered the bird Benedict with smoked salmon, The staff and atmosphere was really nice, the serving sizes were pretty generous and really filling. The food took a bit long to come out

Place seemed spacious and inviting and wasn't too crowded for a Sunday brunch. However service was disappointing and haphazard (table was cleaned halfway, missed a set of utensils, cleared our food whilst one of us was barely done and barely any smiles!). Food was decent but unlikely to return!

I've been visiting Little Bird every couple of months since it opened and unfortunately today pushed me over the edge. The food is always amazing, if a little over priced but it's the service that has prompted my negative review. Every time I go in there either to sit down or to get something to takeaway the staff seemed more annoyed that they have to work than anything. <br/>One time we got asked to leave the cafe at 3:50pm because they were closing at 4pm. Um, surely closing at 4pm means you can stay until 4pm?<br/>Today I got served by a woman who was cold and appeared as though serving me was the last thing she wanted to do. The two other women who later handed me my juice and cake were the same...and not one single thank you. Come on guys, what ever happened to good old customer service?

Had a meetup with a group of 13 at Little Bird Cafe. The cafe is very sweet and cosy looking, and tables are not really spread out very well. There was a bit of shuffling and getting people to jump out of their seats to let others through during our meal.<br/><br/>When we first walked in it was quite busy, and I think our large group initially created some foot traffic near the counter. I think one of the waitstaff got a little too flustered and raised his voice at us for being in the way.<br/><br/>I ordered the Falafel with hummus and I have absolutely no regrets ordering this. The falafel was incredibly tasty and that teamed up with everything else on the plate created a flavour bomb. Sooo tasty!!<br/><br/>We also ordered 2 cakes from the display at the counter. The white chocolate was lovely, a little denser than expected, but was completely fine with me! The chocolate was very rich and quite dense, I'm not huge on dark chocolate cake, it was quite bitter and a couple of mouthfuls were more than enough for me.<br/><br/>The juices we ordered were more like frappes in consistency. Both were tasty and not too sweet.<br/><br/>Little Bird is a lovely, cosy brunch spot. I'd be keen to try other things on the menu as I saw a few dishes go past which looked and smelled amazing.

After more than a couple of false starts, I finally manage to strike the timing right and turn up when this popular cafe is open! <br/>I've wanted to eat here for over a year it seems, and perhaps my experience suffered from that thing when lots of people rave about a movie that you eventually get along to see, and it doesn't quite meet your built up expectations. <br/>I ate the Panzanella, which was a tasty combo of fried, torn sourdough, good chorizo sausage, bacon and a poached egg on a fiery red base of spiced capsicum sauce. I found the bread a little over salted (especially considering that the bacon and chorizo are both salty already), and if you prefer your eggs runny, best to ask for this when ordering. <br/>The berry protein smoothie was great and the cappuccino delish! <br/>The service from the young staff was nothing special - I always like to be acknowledged at the very least when I enter a place. I did notice that others were warmly greeted though, so maybe you need to become a regular for that level of attention? <br/>Attractive and funky on the inside with lots of seating options from high bar stools (coffee sack covered boxes actually) and tables, to large tables and chairs and more than a couple of cozy looking couches. Plus there's plenty of seating outside as well, if you fancy taking in the Northbridge street scene as it passes by. <br/>Prices are reasonable and I'll pop back for a lunch at some time to see how that fares.

this was nice restaurant with good food<br/>breakfast was good <br/>food was yummy<br/>Being a greedy little bastard, I've also orderd the buckwheat and banana pancake. I was very surprised with the sheer thickness of the pancake, the chef cooked it up expertly, with slightly crunchy bits around the edges and soft and fluffy in the middle.

You know you've had a good meal when you're still thinking about it two days later! Came for breakfast, I had the feta bruscetta and it was absolutely divine, the flavours were amazing. The service was great, the staff were very friendly and even brought out a bowl of bacon for our dog. I've found my new favourite breakfast spot.

I LOVED the hummingbird cake! It was very moist with pieces of coconut shreds mixed through. The icing layer had the perfect thickness, it made sure every bite you take from the cake was covered with it, but not smothered entirely in the sweetness. <br/><br/>Being a greedy little bastard, I've also orderd the buckwheat and banana pancake. I was very surprised with the sheer thickness of the pancake, the chef cooked it up expertly, with slightly crunchy bits around the edges and soft and fluffy in the middle. The cashew cream tasted weird, but tolerable, the fruits were fresh and delicious, but I appreciated the rather large amount of syrup provided with the pancake!

Beautiful food! We booked a large table for breakfast for my birthday on Sunday. As a lover of healthy food, I had been meaning to try this cafe for a while and I was not disappointed. Had the Greens Bowl with poached eggs and the Ginger Kombucha. The staff were friendly, food was excellent and fast to arrive.Great bright atmosphere. Will definitely be returning again soon. Thank you so much for a nice birthday breakfast!
Foodie In Paradise
Perfect brunch spot as this cafe located on the corner of Newcastle and lake street in northbridge. <br/>The pancake taste nice and fluffy but lack of maple syrup or some sort of syrup for me. Some of the seasonal fruit on the pancake is slightly sour for my liking. The almond granola that came with the almond milk was delicious. Coffee was great at this place. <br/>Love the food presentation at this cafe. I think I would come back to this place again just to try out the cake next time. <br/>

This review is thanks to a bit of good old fashioned food regret from last weekend! You see on our way to Tarts café last weekend (you can read our review here) we decided to stop in at The Little Bird Cafe. We looked at the menu and decided it wasn’t the spot for us and kept on going. Well on the way back from Tarts we passed The Little Bird Café again and oh my, did the breakfasts look amazing! So needless to say we agreed we had probably been short sighted and needed to come back and give the café a try for ourselves.

Really great here! I went on a Tuesday morning and cannot fault this place. The service was friendly and fast, the food was fresh and delicious, and the menu has a great selection of vegan foods as well as options for meat-eaters. Will definitely be back!

Went to Little Bird today for my one year anniversary brunch with my boyfriend, since he told me he used to come here often and really liked it here. When you step through the threshold you are greeted with a spacious dining area and beautiful interior design. We opted to sit on the arm chairs by the light-up café and I totally sunk right into it and got cosy. I got the panzella while he had the pulled lamb dog, which sounded more like a hotdog that a burger by the name. He got the coconut and banana smoothie while I got the matcha mantra. We were asked whether we wanted to wait for the almond milk to be made or go for a different milk alternative. We had the time so I figured waiting was no problem. Turns out you don't even need to wait that long! Food and drinks were served incredibly fast after ordering. The drinks were nice, I took a sip out of the coconut banana smoothie and decided I liked it better. There were good and bad things about the panzella. The chorizo in the panzella was a bit tough to cut through, but the poached egg that sat in the middle was perfect. I love bacon no matter what so that pleased me as well. I wasn't sure if the toasted bread chunks were too hard or actually very nice and crunchy. I enjoyed the entire meal nonetheless. As I was leaving I saw some people playing checkers, so perhaps I will come back to engage in the novelty of that.

Love love love this place. The food is a treat for your tastebuds as well as eyes. I ordered the falafel with hummus and pita bread (they were fried, so not sure about the health quotient :D, though they were crunchy from the outside and soft from inside) and the carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. Definitely a must visit in Perth
Stel
We went there a few months back, ordered the lamb burger and Ramen. <br/>Lamb burger was fantastic and at a reasonable price. Not so with the Ramen. Sorry it tasted like a watery chinese cabbage noodle soup, and very far from what ramen actually is. For such an expensive 'ramen', please add flavour and maybe we would smile and enjoy it. <br/>Cakes on the other hand, fantastic! Health shakes a delicious treat for the body. <br/>Overall it's a great place to go to on the weekend to chill, but be sure to mark a seat before you order because it does get packed.

Thursday 28th January breakfast (well my breakfast time 1030am!) <br/><br/>Such a good breakfast place outdoor and u door seating big area so there's nearly always space. Friendly staff and good food what more can you ask for!!

Perfect spot for coffee or brunch. The interior is really inviting, everything is bright and open and it is furnished with cute little tables and comfy armchairs. The food was fantastic and the staff were amazing and very helpful with changing meals to suit special dietary requirements. I will definitely be coming back here.

Fantastic bruscetta breakfast on gluten free toast. Really yummy and huge. Coffee was not good though. Staff where so nice and efficient reserving a table for our group of 16... highly recommended. Girls ordered smoothies, juices, granola, cake and all raving results <br/>Very good choice for breakfast

What to do on a sunny morning on your day off? Go for a healthy breakfast of course. This time to be accompanied by the then young intern Miss. J (she's now a fully registered pharmacist!). At work she has been raving about the food at Little Bird, so there was no question where we were going for breakfast!
A Doctor's Orders
How long does it take you to make a piece of toast? A little bird once told me that you can have a fancy breakfast/brunch feast in front of you before that toast is ready. It’s true. Our food had arrived less than five minutes after we placed our order. “Sorry about the wait!” Said the waitress apologetically, before dashing off.

Food is always super quick to come out and always super delicious! This is another great place to eat out when I don't want to ruin my work at the gym. Pancakes are something I can't usually order, however the Little Bird recipe means I can eat to my hearts content. Loaded with fresh fruit and decorative flowers, this dish not only looks incredible, it tastes amazing too. Coffee is a bit hit and miss for me but I did try the iced coffee frappe which I think I might stick to ☺️

Had the Banana and Coconut pancake which was satisfying but didn't quite make it for me. The panzanella dish however was superb! Cannot fault it! Juices were deliciously fresh and the coffee hit the spot. <br/>www.themacrokitchen.com

Sun 1330hrs - TICKS ALL BOXES <br/>Green bowl - spinach beans mushroom avo poached eggs sauerkraut w/bacon, macchiato ½ topped; vahlorana choc brownie<br/>FOOD: I've yet to be disappointed at this joint regardless of time of day. Great choices with a slant towards healthy eating. So I got the green bowl but added bacon as a side which pretty much sums up my tastes & food criteria - I'm looking for nutrient density AND taste & today I've struck gold. Brownie - good & moist, not cloyingly sweet.<br/>COFFEE: Was about to write off Perth coffee not because none is good but because RELIABLY & CONSISTENTLY good coffee-making seems rare but Little Bird restored my faith today - good crema, no bitterness. <br/>AMBIENCE: outside & inside tables, high tables, low tables & loungey chairs with plenty of room - the kind of place you want to stay a while even if dining solo<br/><br/>**UPDATE**<br/>Been going here lots have yet to find dish that's been disappointing or bad and staff are happy to acomodate needs 21/7/16

It's so good being able to walk into a cafe on a Saturday morning and have seating available to you! Extensive smoothie and juice options with cabinet items and a decent menu. I had a big filling green brekky bowl and my husband was very happy that he could order a lamb burger for brunch which tasted good. I'll certainly be back to try other items! Maybe some gorgeous vegan chocolate cake...
Sharon
The food/ decor/ staff and coffee here are all SO incredible! The green bowl is extremely filling and fresh tasting, the buckwheat pancake is really fluffy and covered in a huge selection of fruits and flowers! The selection of smoothies and juices were impressive, and while I didn't get one this time, I will definitely check in sometime in the near future to try one out! Coffees were all really delicious. <br/>The wide variety of breakfast foods meant that all of our party were pleased, as there were gluten free and vegan options, as well as hollandaise-y options too. The prices are really excellent, given the quality ingredients they must use. <br/>One of our party noticed they hadn't done her order right (left the bacon out of her poached eggs and bacon!), but they quickly came and fixed it... But they'd also forgotten her latte! I'm not sure what happened there, but if it wasn't for that I probably would have given an even better rating!
Soy Latte
Lots of space, nice decor, nice food and generous amount, great coffee and many options of juices and smoothies! Had my veggie fix today by the Green bowl, poaches eggs were done to perfection, lots of mushrooms and fresh veggies plus avocado! My soy latte was not the best that I had but was good. Will try their cakes next time and Matcha Mantra! I will be back....very soon!

I've heard so much about this cafe and have been dying to go for so long so I finally went and was no disappointed in the slightest! I ordered the famous coconut buckwheat pancakes and I have to say I usually don't order pancakes because the sweetness can over power and get sickening. However, this pancake( which literally was a pan cooked cake... It was so thick!) was delectable! Not only did it look so visually pleasing, all the elements on the plate complemented one another perfectly from the dense yet light pancake, cinnamon cashew cream, seasonal fruit, micro herbs, rose petals to the 100% maple syrup. And I didn't feel sick when I finished eating it! The cinnamon cashew cream was especially good! All in all, a lovely little spot with fantastic breakfast! Would highly recommend :)

Presentation and cleanliness of cafe is 4/5, but there is a disparity between this and the basic food smarts of the kitchen staff. It appears that "cold" is the theme of most foods on the menu, although it seems as though to the naked eye, that the original idea of certain items were designed to be served "hot", or not.<br/><br/>This was highlighted to me during a recent dining experience, where I was eagerly waiting on my hands to hurry up and take the knife and fork left for me with aggression, to commence digging into the lashings of bacon protruding violently from my ceramic plate. I needed sauce, of the tomato variety. I was then met with a humble, yet delightful response from the lady on the other side of the counter, as she happily agreed to bring some tomato sauce to Table 30. I was relieved, and excited. Shortly after, I urgently required the use of anybody's coat nearby, to prevent my bones from suffering the chill that had begun to overtake my body, along with everyone else's.<br/><br/>Minutes earlier, I had generously dispersed the sauce out of the small metal vessel provided and onto the ingredients on my plate. It was a decision I was about to instantly regret. As I took my first mouthful, the brain freeze began. It consumed my body, and I internally went into a fit of rage (although externally nothing dangerous occurred). This incident had purely occurred, I very quickly discovered, simply because the metal sauce dispenser had been put in the refrigerator, transforming my meal into what I imagine a fresh Arctic emperor penguin could taste like. I attempted to put the dispenser down to reach for a thermal blanket, however my movements were delayed as I had to acquire an ice pick from the kitchen toolbox to remove my hand - frozen stuck to the metal. <br/><br/>I was left in a raging heap, surrounded by a thermal blanket. Fortunately I was able to warm myself up on a formally tepid, now sauce-cold cappuccino. My day was done, finished.<br/><br/>Had it not been for the staff ignorance, blaring louder than a 13-year-old girl at a 1D gig, I would surely have more positive things to say. Little Bird Cafe is truly a summer, refreshing venue. I was looking for nourishment, not refreshment, and sadly I was left in want.
Happymuncher
The little bird cafe has a variety of gluten free and vegan options which is great! The food has a healthy vibe to it but the taste isn't compromised. Who wouldn't want to try buckwheat pancakes or a vegan falafel:)<br/> <br/>Only downside was that after having my green bowl I realised the almonds, avocado and raw "hollandaise sauce" we're not in my meal as was mentioned from the menu. That would've made the dish more well rounded but it could've been an honest mistake. I brought this up and they were apologetic and said they would rectify it and offered a cookie on top of it. <br/> <br/>My matcha smoothie was wonderful- couldn't fault it:) My friend had the Eggs Benedict and she enjoyed it - portion was huge!

Have been here twice for breakfast in the last couple of months and have been disappointed both times which is a shame as it is such a nice space! Last time I got the breakfast ramen for $20. It was really lacking in flavour and it was way too much food to eat in one sitting. Would have rathered pay $15 for a smaller bowl. This morning I got the buckwheat coconut pancake. Although the presentation of the seasonal fruit on top was beautiful, my pancake was burnt underneath and was so dry even with the pot of maple syrup added. Ordered a flat white and not only was it really frothy, but it was quite bitter and wasn't filled to the top.

Standard cafe food and drinks. Didn't really find anything that stood out. One good upside is its in a nice big spot, not cramped like many of the other cafes in Perth.

Lately Madam Rabbit, Ms. Grey and I have been trying out hands at Northbridge Yoga on Sunday mornings.  It's ok.  There's lots of bending and stretching and that bit's fine, but then sometimes they make you chant 'Ommmm' and I'm not into that bit so much.  Also it's early in the morning and often I'm hungover at that time. So, in lieu of yoga one Sunday morning, we went out for greasy breakfast instead.  Less stretching, less weird chanting, also less yoga pants but overall I think a fair trade.

Sundays are made for food filled adventures and catch ups with girlfriends, and what better way than with brunch. The Little Bird cafe is a large space - and their wall of delectable cakes are enough to have your mouth watering before you've even sat down. The staff are extremely friendly - helping you find a place to sit and bringing the coffee out with a smile. The thing I love the most though, is the menu. Everything mentioned is actually healthy - from the green bowl featuring a bunch of different vegetables to start the day, to pancakes topped with layers of fresh fruit. They also cater for gluten free and non dairy.

Popular brunch spot with some foods for us nutrition savy people but also some really delicious treats. The smoothies are amazing and cakes are absolutely to die for. Breakfast is a little pricey and getting a table on the weekend can be a struggle. Bookings can be made for tables of 8 or more! Grab a taleaway green smoothie on your way through Northbridge!

"OKAY LAH" that's the conclusion among the 8 of us when we visited this brunch place for the first time. It is not bad, but it is not good either. I want to give 2.5 (average) but they get extra 0.5 credit due to allowing my wife to swap the bacon to salmon on her Bird Benedict meal.<br/>Variety, especially for the drinks, are what they are good at. Many time we encounter brunch place with very very very very limited choice, but Little Bird Cafe has plenty of meal to choose from. The drinks list is extensive. They have mixed juices and protein mix (similar to Boost Juice) on top of the usual coffees, teas, and juice.<br/>Despite the variety, unfortunately, I still find the taste somewhat rather mediocre. I tried the Panzanella (torn fried sourdough, tomato, chorizo, bacon, poached egg, ajvar in red capsicum sauce) while my wife tried the Bird Benedict. I find the taste lack balance - it is too salty.. Almost literally everything adds up to the saltiness in the meal that it become too extreme: chorizo + bacon + sourdough + red capsicum sauce.. Even with bread, the salty taste is still too strong for me, and my friend who ordered the same. It is certainly not worth the $18.5 price-tag.<br/>Three among the 8 of us order the Matcha Mantra which consists of matcha green tea, organic almond milk, organic coconut oil, dates, and ice. The taste is not as appealing as the description. The matcha flavored is overcome by the abundant taste of coconut. We prefer Boost's green tea mango mantra.

The new menu is delicious!!! The falafel dish was fantastic !!! Best falafel I've had in Perth !! The hummus was excellent as well. <br/>Another new dish we tried was the panzanella with chorizo, egg and fried bread it was soooo good!!!

I didn't really enjoy my breakfast here, to be honest.  My boyfriend got a breakfast bagel which looked fantastic but somehow was pretty tasteless.  Was surprised to find out that toast wasn't on the menu and wasn't an option, but no big deal, I got some eggs on toast.  My eggs came with some really onion-y relish which I didn't fancy. <br/><br/>We sat outside next to some pot plants.   When the waiter cleared up the table on the other side of us, he threw their water into the pot plants and it went into our breakfast, coffees and onto us.  Have to say that was a bit of a turn off.  <br/><br/>Otherwise service was actually lovely.  Would caution about sitting outside because the pigeons are overly "friendly" and like to run around on the tables, even if you're seated on it ahha.<br/><br/>Best part of breakfast was the cookie.  It was thick and warm and really fresh.  <br/><br/>There's some interesting stuff on the menu, and I think its more suited towards those who are on that veg/raw/etc tip

Such a nice little cafe in northbridge, a friend and I went for a nice lunch meal for my birthday, I ordered the buckwheat pancake, when it arrived I was super excited to see how wonderfully it was prepared and presented, it was delicious, I will definitely be back here
More Than Nourishment
I was pleasantly surprised of the size of the cafe, having the option to sit inside with the large windows open or outside. Both options were good considering it was a beautiful day. We were greeted with complimentary water in jugs filled with different fruit, vegetable and herb combinations. This was a nice touch and added to the vibe of the cafe. I had the honey almond granola with poached pear, strawberries, blueberries (fresh, not frozen!), coyo and a side of organic almond milk. The serving size was decent. I was already full after eating half of the dish but kept going since it was so delish! My friend had the eggs benny with a side a salmon. She also enjoyed her breakfast. The cakes at the counter looked delish, particularly the salted caramel baked cheesecake. I will definitely be back to try their baked goods along with their long list of smoothies and juices.

Scrambled eggs and chutney with sourdough bread was fresh and tasty. Coffee not too bad either. Will go back. Everybody on my table ordered different things and everything looked fresh and nicely presented.

A great addition to the neighbour, this spacious and funky cafe offers something for everyone. Ready made items to go, juices, smoothies, in house food with raw and vegan items too. Everything we tried on the menu was delicious and generous sizings. There's some delicious cakes that looks amazing on the counter. The staff are all friendly and they're happy to substitute to suit dietary needs.

Love the drinking water jugs with various fruits inside. With prices like these, you'd expect a few of these finer touches. Green salad was very healthy and fresh, the tortilla wraps are a good choice too. Must try the smoothies with almond milk whilst you're here (they are made in-house). All in all, a bit pricey but you're paying for the environment and atmosphere. Portions are standard size.

Presentation only goes so far. <br/><br/>This is the second time I've been to this café, and each occasion has been dismal. The price you pay for the small, bland serving you get is disappointing. We were forced to choose an option to eat even though none of them looked inviting. <br/><br/>Upon receiving our meal, the presentation was nice. However - I feel as if giving 1 slice of bread with each meal is stingy and there's barely anything on the plate. <br/><br/>The coffee I enjoyed.<br/><br/>The interior design needs an update because it looks as if two entirely different places were forced together. The bigger dining area looks so out of place and to be frank - boring. <br/><br/>I have given this café another go but will definitely never go there again.

Being a tourist from Auckland and staying in Perth for a holiday, I was soooo happy to see a cafe with vegan options! Little Bird's coconut and vanilla soaked oats with poached persimmons, bananas and salted caramel sauce was honestly so delicious and an even better approach to my favourite breakfast meal. I loved their flavoured waters which customers were able to self serve, as they accompanied my meal perfectly. Really popular place with yummy healthy food, would definitely love to come back here again!

I've been to this place a couple of times and have really enjoyed the delish smoothies. The food looks amazing but tastes bland. I've had buckweat pancakes and the roasted tomato bruschetta with bacon.
Aisha Handa
The interior makes a great first impression, airy and antique with some interesting items. The detox water jugs are a nice touch. The plating and colourful vibrancy of the food makes it hard not to photograph it! Loved the chocolate coconut (cacao kapaw I think) smoothie. Found the oats and the green bowl dishes a bit too bland/healthy for my liking. The bruschetta was okay but the bread was too crusty to be easily cut. Will give it a second go, hopefully the other items taste as amazing a they look!
FatCat
There's an odd assortment of slightly shabby but exceedingly comfortable furniture, big wide tables with plenty of room for your meal and the paper and lots of space and light. <br/><br/>There were lots of healthy looking wraps and rolls in a display cabinet, a selection of breakfast dishes and burgers on the menu. The breakfast bowl was a healthy, filling and fairly priced lunch. Pretty presentation with lots of green leaves and veggies, avocado, a couple of poached eggs and a generous serve of smoked salmon - just delicious.<br/><br/>I've had to curtail my cake and pastry habit and I managed not to indulge but it was bloody hard because if there was an award for the prettiest cakes in Perth, these guys would win hands down. Will definitely be back for more.

I didnt enjoy my buckwheat pancakes:( huge serving but flavour was so dry. Tahini strawberry smoothie was nice enough. will give it another go one day hopefully they have something better

🐦🐦🐦Little bird is horrible....jokes🙊....i just want everyone to stop buying the breaky bagels before i get there god dammit. The best hangover cure combo is the breaky bagel and Dr juice combo. The best treats are the salted caramel cookies and the Chocolate brownies.....*breathes heavy*.

Absolutely love Little Bird, been here a few times now and I'm never disappointed! Their serving sizes are very good for what they charge, I'm never able to fully finish my breakfast because it is so big! The bircher muesli is a standout and so beautifully presented. I also love their classic bacon and scrambled eggs on toast. Coffee is a 8/10. Would recommend!

Lovely little spot, cute set up and the counter looks appealing with fresh homemade looking cakes BUT... I do love my food and this just didn't hit the spot for me. While it may be a healthier option for those who like to eat this way, I enjoy my food too much to take this alternative option.<br/><br/>Our serving size was very generous, so much so I couldn't eat it all but I can't say I enjoyed it which doesn't help. <br/><br/>Our banana and coconut smoothie was very enjoyable but not a fan of being served in plastic take away cups whilst dining in.<br/><br/>Health nuts, give it a go! But if you like your traditional breakfasts with a bit of spunk, it's not the place for you.

I have been coming to little bird for the last 2 years now and I really do love it! A few months ago I think there was a change of chef and the standard of food dropped but I've been back over the last few weeks and they must have changed chef's again because the food was amazing!!! Best gluten free bread in Perth!! I always go for the bacon and poached eggs with Avo and gluten free toast! Standard.. but I love it!! This time I tried the Benedict it was delicious!!! They always have a huge range of yummy desserts too. Plenty for coeliacs like myself! Highly recommend little bird one of my favourite in Perth.

The Little Bird Cafe is one of many trendy cafés in Northbridge, they are known for their healthy breakfast and lunch options, and their diary-free vegan smoothies. We like how the café is set out in a large space filled with art and other vintage goodies. It's definitely the ideal spot to catch up with friends over a delicious meal.

A great spot for a healthy breakfast/brunch in Northbridge.<br/>There is a lot of indoor and outdoor space, customer service is great and the menu offer healthy enjoyable choices.

Went for brunch this morning. The breakfast ramen started off nicely until I found a piece of metal shaving - most likely from a scourer- in it. Furthermore, the firm eggs my girlfriend ordered were runny. We will not be going back. Pity.

Came here with my best friend for breakfast and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. It has a cosy homey feel inside the cafe. I liked how they had detox water jugs. Nice coffee and great food. I had the lamb for breakfast and my friend had the bruschetta. Would definitely recommend

Highly enjoyed this lemon yoghurt cake 😍 so moist and delicious!!! Service was so friendly! I've been here once before and had a smoothie which was a long time ago, I had a coconut and mixed berry one today- loved it!

I like this cafe. The decor is very alternative & simple, but the food choices, cakes & juices & smoothies are great. Seems to be popular with SAHMs & groups.<br/>
Thebittersweetodyssey
A very large portion of deliciousness topped with chunks of fresh bananas, persimmons and strawberries, drizzled with raw caramel and garnished with rose petals and micro-herbs. At first spoonful my heart was already smiling. The snowy appearance gave way to a delightful combination of textures that lifted any fear of a boring oat dish.

Great little breakfast/brunch place! Their options are generally on the healthier side but are still quite tasty. Tried a few options on the menu so far and can't really complain. Their pancakes in particular are interesting as they are fairly dense and not too sweet so great for those who want that little hit in the morning. However I'm torn as they can sometimes be slightly bland. Their selection of sweets, cakes and savoury items on display at the counter on the other hand are definite winners and seem to be more enticing then what's on the daily menu. Their friendly service and great atmosphere will also keep you coming back.

I have been here 3 times and it seems the cafe is a bit hit and miss with its meals, the layout of the cafe is very rustic and whimsical and the staff are very friendly<br/><br/>The first time I dined here the food was awesome, I had the lamb burger, the bun was soft, the patty was perfectly cooked and the smoothie that accompanied it was so refreshing and flavourful.<br/><br/>The second time I ate here I decided to try the halloumi burger because I have never had anything like it before, unfortunately the burger was very unpleasant and soggy, the bun at first was very crusty and slightly awkward to chew off but as a bit into the fried halloumi the oils and juices came pouring out which left me holding back a gag.<br/><br/>The last time I ate here I had the buckwheat pancakes which were absolutely delicious and almost felt guilt free, the fresh fruit and edible flower garnishes were beautifully presented on the stack of pancakes and the dish altogether was very well balanced with the sweetness of the maple syrup and the acidity of the fresh berries.<br/><br/>

Food was so average this time around. :( So... This was my second visit to Little bird cafe for brunch, the cute cafe sits on the corner of Lake street, has easy access and plenty of street parking. The interior of the cafe presents a very homely and comforting atmosphere, all the staff are lovely and very attentive. The first visit we had some really good food and cakes so we decided to visit again as we were in the area. This time around it was a vastly different experience. We ordered brekky ramen and bruschetta with smashed avocado/roasted tomato, both underwhelming and disappointing. The ramen was very bland, the ramen was cooked alright, not too soggy. The chicken breast was just boiled straight and had no flavour at all... But the most important component of a bowl of ramen is its soup, this tasted like chicken stock straight out of a carton, it was watery and had no taste. The bruschetta was okay, by okay I mean I could definitely make it better at home. The bread was ok, avocado ok, tomato and feta all ok... It was so average and ordinary, I guess I expected more from them. Maybe we ordered the wrong dishes from the menu but it was overall an disappointing experience, a waste of money, calories and taste buds.

After what seems to be forever, CT and I finally set a date to catch up. We used to have monthly meet-ups but our schedules got too hectic in late-2014 and before we knew it, it had been several months before we had seen each other! Thank goodness we have whatsapp though! I had a rare day off on Saturday which was perfect because she usually is free on Saturdays! We both hadn’t been to Little Bird Cafe so we headed there on this warm sunny morning! Little Bird Cafe has piqued my interest for a long time with its beautiful plating! There were quite a few items on the menu that sounded good, including the famed buckwheat pancakes. But after a 1hr fitness session and a hot car, I wanted something refreshing. I chose the seasonal fruit which came with coconut yoghurt and coconut buckinis. To be honest, I just wanted to know what coconut yoghurt actually tasted like. haha. This was artwork on a plate! There was an abundance of fruit on top of the coconut yoghurt with the buckinis scattered on top. Buckini is like buckwheat granola and I LOVE granola so this was awesome! I just wish there was a bit more of it! The coconut yoghurt is a bit like whipped coconut cream. Obviously there was a robust coconut taste, but I prefer greek yoghurt more as it is smoother. The fruits, well, they were as fresh as they look. They even had raspberries, figs, blueberries and blackberries which I rarely buy. They were SO sweet too!

Very good. Nearly walked passed thinking it was just a small shop front but it's actually very big. Lots of tables and comfy chairs/couches.<br/>Coffees were spot on. Small menu but varied enough to suit most people. And what they do is tasty. Clean tasting. Healthy foods. Heaps of juices and smoothies to choose from. Definitely will be returning

Fantastic food, absolutely no complaint there. I had some breakfast and it was lovely. Bruschetta, poached eggs, bacon, cress, tomatoe & feta. <br/>Very well presented cafe, pretty big inside and there is seating outside both on the street and in a seperate courtyard too.<br/>Ordering system is a bit skewed because they don't have menus on the table, so waiters/ waitresses don't take your order. You queue at the till to order, which is common, but people don't know what they want when arrive at the till. Consequently queueing times are doubled. I stood waiting while the people in front of me had no idea what they wanted.<br/>Great cafe though, and I will probably go out of my way to eat here again on my visit to Perth.

Gorgeous Persian feta with the bruschetta! Great friendly service too. I'll be back for sure. The salted milk chocolate cookie was devine too, melted of course.

It was so good to be able to order something vegan while on my overseas travel, I have little bird cafe to thank, since it was too absolutely delicious!

We had lunch here last Sunday - it was quite busy but staff were getting confused about table numbers, with one staff member repeatedly trying to give us coffees we hadn't ordered - they were for another table but she kept asking us if we were sure they weren't ours. She was obviously annoyed and wasn't overly friendly, later we saw they had given out 2 of the same table numbers hence the confusion. Food was OK (beef burgers) but wouldn't rush back.

Tried this place again a few weeks ago - had the coffee frappe thing (which was pretty amazing) and the pistachio and rosewater bircher muesli......which was pretty gross. It tasted like plain oatmeal with a faint watered down pistachio taste. I couldn't eat more then a few bites and both the girsl at my table who ordered this said the same thing.Came in over the weekend to try this place out as it is so close to my house - it's really pretty inside, staff were friendly and the food looks amazing, however the takeaway almond latte I ordered (paid $4.80 for a small) was the worst coffee I have ever had. I couldn't taste any coffee and the milk tasted like how off milk smells (sour and watery), I could only stomach a few sips before I felt sick and ditched it. Pity as this place is located on my walk to work. I might come in and try the yummy looking food here but I'll avoid this place for coffee!!
Spk
Husband didn't think there was much of a range, looked at the menu then looked up at me and said "there's nothing for me to eat!" Of course he's a "give me the big breakfast" kinda guy and he probably wouldn't come here by choice. I on the other hand, loved my green brekky bowl. Crunchy blanched veggies, avocado, poached eggs, spinach, sauerkraut and raw hollandaise, so good! I added some salmon too and it was just perfect. If you like your greens, try it!
T
I just came in today to try a coffee with almond milk, but it was not very nice at all! I could hardly taste the coffee, the almond milk tasted like weird water, wasn't hot enough, and it was pretty overpriced at $5.70. If I ever return (and I do want to) I'd get a smoothie and something to eat (though what I saw looked pretty expensive).<br/><br/>The almond milk coffees at Roaster & Barista (Riverton) are WAY better and they don't charge you a cent more for being a poor sucker with a lactose intolerance.

We had an early brekky here last Saturday with my hubby. It was our first time in the Little Bird and we didn't know what to expect as we just stumbled upon the place. I ordered the Big Green Brekky (paleo, even though I'm not a follower) and my hubby had the pulled lamb hot dog. <br/><br/>Our coffee arrived promptly and it's a treat for strong flavour lovers. I myself prefer a bit milder, lighter roast. The dishes, however, were quite amazing. My hubby absolutely loved his lamb meal and it was gone in minutes. I was positively surprised by the versatility of my green bowl full of broccoli, green beans, avo, spinach, asparagus, poached eggs and almons. It tasted not just healthy but mouth-wateringly delicious. I stuffed it all and didn't have to eat before 3pm - the brekky was at 8am.

Have been going to Little Bird Cafe every now and then and its either been a hit or a miss but lately they've just been misses. When they were relatively new, I loved their health conscious concepts, great cacao and peanut butter smoothie and lovely eating area. And for these I have always excused them for what they actually bring out.   However having just gone today,  I came to the conclusion that its not worth the nice eating area and the free jug of flavoured water.  Breakfast and mains are largely overpriced for what you actually receive on your plate, they've strayed away from being health conscious where smoothies are now more heavier and protein packed rather than nutrient filled and same goes with their mains and their are always inconsistencies when ordering the same thing next time. The ideas are there but the execution is bad.<br/><br/>I honestly am not exaggerating when saying that this is now my second time having stomach problems with their food (I'll spare the details and assume others know what I mean..) and immediately had to run to the toilet. The first occasion I gave them the benefit of the doubt that I do not digest coconut well however today it was one of their mains (the pulled lamb dog). <br/><br/>Leaving on more of a positive note, I once had a really nice almond milk hot chocolate there  (the second time they made it was so milky which was sooo unfortunate as I wanted the taste the first time i ordered it) , again, their peanut butter and choc smoothie is great and I love their dining area.

I frequent the Little Bird quite often as it's easy to get a delicious vegan/gluten free dish. Staff are always friendly and attentive. Smoothies and coffee are amazing and the food is quite fresh with big serving sizes, love the pancakes and granola however the only fault I have is that sometimes the dishes aren't very consistent even only when visiting a week apart. Definitely a go to breakfast/brunch spot and I'd definitely recommend trying at least once!

Very busy, but could be because it was raining outside. Either way, following the crowd and tried this Cafe. The pancake was fluffy, but quite plain and tasteless - pity, because it looked so nice. Also had the beef aged cheddar burger, the patty was very plain and nothing special. Overall, not somewhere I'll be looking to come back soon.

We sat in beautiful armchairs by the window in the sun, the staff were quick to bring us waters and menus. The food and rinks were delicious, the menu items a little on the expensive side even for Perth although the items in the cabinet were well priced. The dairy free iced coffee was great.
Kkkdot
The place was great, food was very nicely decorated and coffee was smooth, <br/>The buckwheat pancakes did not taste as good as it looked but still healthy, I think it's such a great portion two people are able to finish it<br/>Mother had ordered something with goat cheese, seemed like a signature dish but neither of us enjoyed the cheese, however the price range is very understandable for portions of the food and smoothies were also great. <br/>*very friendly staff*
Mr Martin
Great service, great food if a little expensive, and this place is packed on a Sunday morning proving how good the food and drinks really are.

Little soggy cafe. I have been to little bird twice before and both times have been pleasant yet quite expensive occasions. The last time I had ordered a lamb burger, they did not have lamb so they used beef, the burger was good no complaints. I went this morning and decided to try the lamb burger. It came out and looked a mess. The bun was shriveled and soggy. The bun was as flat as a pancake each piece was about a centimeter thick. It looked as if it had been in the microwave. I paid 17$ for a little pile of pulled pork. The last time I had a burger there the bun was crisp the way it is supposed to be. So I told a waitress she looked similarly shocked the same as me but didn't say anything to accept liability. I complained again, who appeared to be the manager said that the bread was super fresh and that's how it is. There was no apology at all. Save your self the money and go to grilld burger or even maccas you will get better buns and burgers. If you want to be a hipster tool, go to little bird cafe.
Whats_wong
Went with 4 ppl and we ate buckwheat pancakes, granola and falafel. Food was still tasty, portion sizes have reduced in size gradually and service was okay-ish (got told off for asking for some extra cutlery and plates eventually got a plate and had to get my own cutlery) <br/><br/>Pancakes are hit and miss but this place is usually pretty busy so I guess it can be tough to be always on point. Still too though<br/>

decided to stop by little bird cafe for the first time to have breakfast after a relaxing floating session at beyond rest. i blame being seduced by their instagram feed, that shit is food porn at it's finest! i ordered the rosewater and coconut bircher, peanut butter chocolate cake slice and an almond milk chai latte. my tastebuds literally had an orgasm and then cried with happiness, it was that good. try this place, you will thank me later. this is one of my favourite breakfast and brunch places that i have since recommended to family and friends, will definitely be back!
Jenna
Had one of the worst breakfast experiences ever in Perth at this place, we ordered food and drinks and were told there would be a delay on the coffees as they were busy. Fine, but our coffees never came after almost half an hour. When I asked the staff they simply said that the coffee machine had broken and that was that. No thought to actually come out and let us know that our coffees were never going to come! Food was average, soggy toast, bacon burnt to a crisp, watery eggs. I don't get the hype, this place is completely overrated! Will not come back, service is below average even for Perth standards.

Truly outstanding breakfast! Perfect every time, takes bookings, easy to park, just perfect!

Buckwheat pancakes - divine. I wish I could tell you which items I like from the menu at Little Bird Cafe, but I'm afraid that after trying the Buckwheat pancakes on my first visit (a real treat, as you don't see gluten free pancakes too often), I was so hooked that it's all I'll have when I go.<br/><br/>The Little Bird is quite some way away from where I live, but I still trek over there fairly regularly to get my pancake fix.<br/>The size of the portion varies sometimes, but it is both delicious and beautiful (edible flowers - so pretty).
LaurenK
This is one amazing cafe! All the produce is organic, fresh and delicious. The cakes are absolute gold and are made fresh on site.
The Honest Foodie
A small note ...<br/>You order your breakfast and it comes out with relish all over it .... ( not listed on the menu ) If I wanted relish I'd ask for it !!!
Samantha
The food was really nice, the choc mint smoothie was also lovely- the wait to get in was ridiculous, 20 minutes and it is quite expensive- also after picking what I wanted I was told "we don't make that anymore"- then why is it on your board? Overall would reccommend though because the food made up for it- great presentation :)

Excellent. Vibrant, electric staff. Delicious, affordable food. Great for casual Sunday breakfast

On arrival we found our reserved table that was easily recognisable with my name and time printed on brown paper. The table was set with gorgeous fresh flowers, a mini bird cage to hold the sugars and of course the usual menus and cutlery. It was very cute inside, with a vintage yet clean sleek style that reminded me of a living room type set up- with ample seating at tables and chairs but then couches and crates throughout also. LBC also a quaint little courtyard situated outside surrounded with potted plants and creeping vines to suit all weather and catchups needs!

I am a healthy person. I eat healthily. By healthy I mean in the European sense. There are a lot of carbs, cheese, fresh produce and good rich food in my diet. What I don't do is this 'healthy' green organic business that is so popular and undeniably fantastic for your general health Im sure. Personally I enjoy food too much to be too discerning past the obvious no fast food rule. Little Bird Cafe is in Northbridge on Lake Street. I couldn't tell you how long it has been there but I do know it is far longer than I have known about it! The first thing I thought when I walked in was "how did I not discover this sooner?".  Little Bird is one of those healthy eating gigs and at first when I browsed the menu I wondered if they were going to take it too far. Was it all going to taste a tad too nutritious? Turns out this was the perfect combination of health and taste.  I stood at the counter and ordered. It was hard to pass the most amazing cakes I have ever seen, in Northbridge anyway....I will def be going back for some of these. It was great to see a good menu option that didn't involve eggs but wasn't totally vegan. The breakfast bruschetta - sour dough with bacon, avocado, rocket lettuce, roma tomatoes and goats cheese. This is a simple and tasty breakfast that didn't break the boundaries of where your palate wants to go so early in the morning. I ate the lot - and it was a good serving. My friend had an old fav - salmon bagel with cream cheese and capers. This was another simple dish but one that can vary dramatically from cafe to cafe. This one had very fresh salmon featured and an equally fresh bagel. It looked great. I actually went back and tried to get one the next day but they had sold out - rightly so. The presentation of the food was very well done. I loved how the bagel came on a wooden board atop news-like paper. It was a nice touch that again made this bagel stand out from others. Little Bird had the fine touches down in all aspects. The water had lemon a

The bruschetta dish was wonderfully presented and it was a decent serving too. Long rashers of bacon, half an avocado, green leaves, goat’s cheese and tomatoes served on top of sourdough toast. Compliments to the chef, the bacon was divine.

Wow! Been wanting to try here for ages! My partner had the steak sandwich and said it was delicious :) I had the heuchos rancheros (spelling?!)... This is great food with friendly staff at affordable prices!

Little bird is a little gem.. I came to little bird cafe with my mother in law today. I cannot say one bad thing about this place. Service was friendly and efficient, setting was beautiful and the food amazing. I had the bacon and eggs-bacon was crispy and two eggs soft poached to perfection. Bread was buttered lightly on one side and lightly toasted. I also got the dr juice which was really tasty. My mother in law got the fig, roast pumpkin salad with balsamic glaze and she couldn't fault it, the small serving size was generous and the figs Wern't too sweet. But the highlight of our lunch was definitely the chilli chocolate cake- the cake was rich, and there were bits of crunchy raspberry throughout, the chilli added a subtle punch but really made it a standout. We will be returning!

Love it, love it, LOVE IT!. Love this place! From the choc mint smoothie, to the raw cauliflower sushi, to the haloumi burger! Being someone who is a vegetarian and has a gluten allergy, this place provides everything I need to get a great feed, a refreshing drink or a beautiful coffee. A one stop shop! The staff are lovely and the food is great. Love it! Keep up the great work Little Bird!!

Price Increase. Hi. I am a regular customer and saw overflow open years ago which it had an empty feel to the place and not that busy.<br/>Then came Little Bird. They did some renovations and it has become a very busy place.<br/>I went in the other day and was so sad to see they have had a price increase.<br/>The price now is ridiculous you can find better else where and cheaper.<br/>I definitely wont be going back again and they will lose so many regular customers.
Jb89
Skip this. Don't be fooled by the fancy decor and hipster feeling vibes, this place isn't so crash hot. I was a regular for a while, getting coffee most weekends. The coffee is good, but really not worth the line and subsequent wait that happens every weekend morning.<br/><br/>I once made the mistake of ordering the Birdsnest breakfast - I mean, what even is this?! Very disappointed. And my egg was cold. Tried again another time and got a ready made wrap - basically inedible. It was a sloppy, soggy mess.<br/><br/>Skip this place and go across the road where the food is cheaper and better and the service is faster.
Sarah_seddon
Staff were nice, food was not.. After reading the descriptions on the menu I thought I was in for a refreshing, hearty breakfast made from top ingredients. I went for the huervos rancheros and when it came out I was stunned. <br/><br/>The first thing that caught my eye was the amount of shredded cabbage on my plate. I could barely see anything else, it took me a while to realise that there was avocado a top this mound of fresh produce. It only being a quarter serve of avocado was probably why it escaped my attention in the first place. The disappointment only continued when I tried to mash it in order to get an even coverage and the avocado defied the force of my fork. The poor avocado was plucked too early from it's life and saw out its time on earth as another disappointment on my plate of food. <br/><br/>The eggs were cold, hard and yet still undercooked. My lightly floured tortillas were soggy and the salsa was probably the only thing that carried any taste on plate. Except maybe the plate itself. <br/><br/>After looking at the pictures on this website of what my food was meant to look like, I nearly shed a tear. The staff were lovely and the water was fresh!
Steph Wright
This was possibly the worst breakfast I've ever had. Not sure why this place always has a long line on weekends. <br/>All our meals were stone cold when served, like they'd been sitting on a counter without a heat lamp.<br/>Eggs were poached but served hard.<br/>Bacon was not crispy, it was burnt.<br/>Slaw of cabbage? Does that mean half a cabbage just dumped on top of the plate?<br/>The avocado was underipe and hard.<br/>Bruschetta doesn't normally mean a quartered tomato dumped on toast with some limp rocket as a garnish. <br/>The bread (store bought no doubt) was the nicest, or only nice, part of the meal.<br/>Service was average.<br/>Jug of water with watermelon and cucumber was alright.<br/>Don't waste your money.

I visited this cafe a few times. I liked To have coffee here. But last weekend the guy was rude and I felt that it was racist. I was in the que the guy brought a menu the lady in front of me and the girls behind me. He just passed me. Is that because I'm Asian? I'd like to know this cafés rule or service policy. I think he is kind of floor Maneger or some upper position he wore the blue cap. I don't forget his face.
Cafegod
Forget the pathetic negative trolls<br/>This is one honest cafe, serving fresh locally roasted coffee. All produce made on site. Brilliant cakes. Healthy dishes made with heart. Perth needs more cafés like this.
Lolo
My favorite cafe in Perth! Staff are so friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere is amazing so much natural light and fresh air. The food is always incredible, never had a bad meal. And so well priced for what you are getting! They cater to everyone, carnivore, vegan, gluten free- and switching things up is never a hassle. The best! Everyone I take loves it just as much as me :)
Jorkeen
Nice atmosphere but food disappoints. I was greeted by very friendly wait staff which was lovely, and the courtyard area was so inviting, I thought I had stumbled across a gem. However, when my food arrived within 5 minutes of ordering, it literally looked like they'd spent 5 minutes preparing it! My breakfast bruschetta was a piece of toast with a quartered tomato sat on top of it, a few avacado slices, bacon and a mountain of rocket. The dressing was plain olive oil! I could have made it myself.<br/>And my juice, despite it's expense, was underwhelmingly small. The mint wasn't even chopped, so it wasn't able to blend into the drink!<br/>The coffee was alright, though.<br/>Started off so promising, but let down!
Kanesouthwell
Best cafe I have eaten at anywhere in Australia. After trying many hundreds of cafes over the years, this is number one. Food quality and presentation, service, environment all 10/10.<br/>Only setback is a little pricey, but thats completely standard for WA.
DK
Staff were fantastic. Food was amazing. Juices even better. Cake was also delish. Can't wait to go back.

Joy. Went to the Little Bird for the first and last time this morning. Ordered a extra hot soy flat white with no froth. Was just the worst coffee I've ever had. That was after the third attempt. First if was half a cup of froth and I was given a lecture on how hot soy reacts? Then it was scooped off and came back as hot soy milk and couldn't taste any coffee. They made me a new one with half a cup of thick froth and it left me with such a terrible stomach I still question why I drank it. My fault. Should have just left and chalked it up to a bad experience. Did phone them to voice my disappointment but was asked to call back as the manager was unavailable at 2.45pm.

Best cafe !!!! OMG!!!! Yum!!!. Amazing! Best cafe in perth. <br/>I wish other cafes would take note. Awesome food... Good prices... Incrediable presentation ..... Friendly passionate staff. Well done !!! I am so happy to finally find a cafe that is exactly what I love! Thank you

We waited 30 minutes for a smoothie, which seems ridiculous to me.
Chris_madden76
Dodgy area, uncaring staff. Went here with 2 young kids for breakfast and sat outside. Shortly after our food arrived a disturbed homeless man started getting aggressive in the park next to where we were sitting. He came into our area and started hitting tables. We promptly moved, leaving our uneaten breakfast. I notified the staff and manager who did precious little; one staff member saying it was typical for the area. Since the cafe was full we had nowhere else to sit and finish our breakfast. The manager made no offer of a refund/empathy. Pathetic cafe and arrogant staff. They don't deserve their popularity. I urge people to avoid

Great food, awesome coffee and the staff are friendly too. Always enjoy breaky here

Love this place. Food has kind of got that hipster feel, as in there are a lot of organic ingredients and it strays away from your stock standard breakfast menu. I got the buckwheat pancakes and they tasted as amazing they looked, decorated with banana, strawberries and cute little edible flowers. Lovely environment too, with a courtyard area and beautiful little decorations throughout. If you're after something a little different and willing to pay a bit above average (you get what you pay for in my opinion) then this is the place for you.

I'm in love!!! You guys are.... I'm in love!!!<br/>You guys are amazing. Hands down the best breakfast and coffee I've had in ages. <br/>Thanks for making my birthday so special. We all will be back very soon :)

Super busy for Sunday morning brunch but we were seated quickly and the line to take orders moved fast. We were told it'd be a 30 minute wait for food, which we appreciated being advised about. Pleasantly surprised that our coffees were served within 5 minutes and the food arrived after about 20 minutes - more than acceptable given how insanely busy it was. Wait staff were efficient, coffees were fine but not great, and the food was lovely. The Bircher muesli was just delicious and the presentation gorgeous. Huge serve too, I struggled to finish it! My husband really enjoyed his breakfast bruschetta. The design/layout is really attractive, especially because there's enough room in here to seat lots of people. Too many new places are so tiny with seating at a premium these days, so this was refreshing. Will certainly return.

Omg food and service the best!!. We called in here for breakfast after a night out and staying in perth. the staff were just so wonderful. everything about this cafe wins. from the staff to the food, to the decor to the menu, even the kitchen staff i encountered while i stepped outside for a phonecall. this cafe in the heart of northbridge has alot of heart. my new favourite place to be in perth. even though they were really busy we felt welcome and had the best meal, the music was amateur guitarist singer..very nice. we went on a saturday morning, you have to experience the space this place offers to be apreciative. i ordered a haloumi quasadella and it was amazing. the coffe was great , but the service and total vibe were the real winners.

Saturday lunch. Just got back from Little Bird.<br/>First time visit.<br/>Good mix on the menu<br/>Fresh and quality produce.<br/>We had halumi fritter and chicken casidila together with a slice of cake that looked great and tasted better.<br/>Nicely balanced and we left full but not feeling heavy.<br/>Nice job.

Never again ordered eggs beni this morning and received hard poached eggs and minimal hollindaise sauce didnt think it was that hard what a waste of money .

Fav place on the city block. I absolutely LOVE this cafe! By the time I've gotten past choosing which trendy loungeroom style couch I want to curl up on, having friendly chats with all the staff and all the drolling I do over the menu, I almost forget that I've gone there to actually EAT. And my word, the food; is incredible. Packed with flavour and using the most common line to use for The Little Bird; "It's too pretty to eat!", the presentation is homey and appealing. I love the range of juices/smoothies and the option to add additional "Boosters' to the drink...the buckwheat pancake is definitely a favourite, but it's hard to get past the granola. If you're looking for something savoury, the lamb burger is just gorgeous (and has the tick of approval from the lads!). And any of the sweet treats on the counter or in the cabinent will always catch your attention. It's the perfect environment for a catch up with friends, a weekend outing with family or a study escape! Honestly couldn't recommend it enough!

Waiter gave me green tea instead of black tea and then proceeded to tell me it was definitely English breakfast the first time and I was mistaken. Weird. It tasted, looked and smelt like green tea but obviously I needed to be put in my place. Food was great though and I liked the selection of smoothies.

New Favourite!. I have been eating my way through a rather large list of Perth breakfast spots and think I have found my official new favourite place! I love everything about The Little Bird, from the fruit water (amazing, every café should offer this), good coffee, friendly service and delicious food. Highly recommended! I'll be back soon.

Good variety in menu. The steak sandwich and haloumi burger are priced OK. Very tasty. The smoothies are a bit pricey ($8) but recipes different from usual (almond milk etc). Friend said it was one of the best chai lattes she's had and my husband liked the coffee. Comfortable setting, relaxed atmosphere.

A little birdie told me.... ..that this place had a nice smoothie, dessert and brunch range. So I tried it and yeap, they were right. Came here unexpectedly with a friend today and was pleased with the calm and collective atmosphere and lively attitudes of the staff. <br/>Had the Haloumi Chicken Quesadillas which was served with an amazingly light yoghurty? sour cream. Portions, some may arguably say they are small but I believe, were perfect with a drink of some sort. Impressed with the fast service and attentive staff. Pricing is decent and fruit flavoured water was a nice touch. <br/>Will return to try other dishes.

Hrmmm.... Disappointed my $20 sweet potato "hash" was inedible. The main component of the dish was served raw. Might want to work on that...
Sarah
Food amazing , price amazing, staff amazing and atmosphere amazing. My favourite place in Perth

LOVE. Friendly staff, cute setting, most importantly - amazing food. The haloumi burger, salted choc chip cookie, gf brownie and smoothies rock my world.

The little bird cafe is wonderful! came here for a lovely breakfast with my boyfriend and we both enjoyed it. I ordered the breakfast bruschetta with a poached egg and also a green smoothie. the bruschetta is very yummy and the goats cheese is a great touch! the green smoothie is also delicious and I can't wait to have another. <br/>service was great and the staff were friendly. their raw treats are also very yummy! would recommend :-)

Awesome pancake!. Been here for breakfast once and have always wanted to come back! The buckwheat pancake with coconut cream had made me dreaming about it. And hubby couldn't rave enough about their steak sandwich - it was juicy and their homemade chutney was amazing. Heard they have variety of great looking and tasty cakes too. Would definitely try to make another trip here!

Love this place. Good coffee and amazing cakes.
Coffeeholic
Superb. We visited this place for the first time today and we'll certainly be back again. The staff were very friendly and there was a great selection of fresh food, deserts, smoothies and coffee. Everything we had (cake, coffee, chai, breakfast) was of a very high standard - delicious. The place is comfortable with a great atmosphere. Recommended.

Will need to try again. After having lunch at Little Willy's we felt the portions weren't enough and decided to stop here for dessert. We ordered the hazelnut, coffee and frangelico cake and the peanut butter protein bar. Both items were sickly sweet (maybe it's just my palate). The cake was the worse of the two. I could only taste hazelnuts because its encrusted by chopped hazelnuts. The butter cream we ended scraping off to try to lessen the sweetness and the overall taste of the cake was very processed for some reason. Like eating a sponge bought from IGA bakery. Did not taste fresh and homemade at all.<br/><br/>Would still like to give this place a go for the savoury options and the coffee (we just had water with our cakes thank god guzzlling the whoke bottle). It has a nice atmosphere also.

Tip top service. Best GF granola in Perth!!! Love the friendly service too :)

From the outside this cafe looks like it could have potential and walking in it's not bad - tables, lounges, live music (Sunday), cabinet full with food! Friendly staff, good and quick coffee .. That's were it ends.. Eggs Benedict and the zucchini and corn fritters took a long time to arrive and although the eggs bene looked pretty good the immediate let down was the hollandaise sauce... Straight out if a jar! (A cafe with a big focus on breakfast MUST in my opinion make their OWN hollandaise!!) .. My fritters were doughy and tasteless my poached eggs over cooked and smeared with that horrid hollandaise.. Sorry I won't be back!

Oh, gosh this place is just terrible. don't waste your money, don't be fooled by the wanky instagram photos and just proceed to the tuck shop instead.

Very friendly and great food!! Spacious cafe with very inviting seating.

A gem!

Nice coffee, bad service.. Had brunch here with my boyfriend today. Service was pretty bad, we were totally ignored from the moment we entered the cafe. Waiters totally avoided eye contact. We weren't even sure whether to wait for a menu or to order at the counter. Nonetheless, coffee was great.

Delicious. Came here last Sunday for brunch after a friend's recommendation. <br/>Food was delicious however as I don't eat processed grains the lamb burger was a little light without a bun. Other cafes substitute a small salad or a few veggies to make the meal a bit more substantial and would have made the meal perfect. <br/>Smoothies are awesome
Eworts
AMAZING!. Just had their dark chocolate, pear and pistastio cake - it was to die for!! The service is incredible and the coffee is amazing!

Outstanding service. We have stopped here a few times and every time I have commented to my wife how great the service is (really friendly without being creepy). We have had a few bits and pieces such as the kapow bar, poached eggs with spinach, bacon and hollondaise sauce, salted caramel cheesecake and a juice or two and all have been scrumptious!! Likewise the coffee has been fantastic. The family and I will happily continue to drop by and gobble up their goodies.

Great find. Delicious fresh menu. Very nice cafe. Juices, smoothies, cake n burgers. I wanted them all.

Bad service and bad coffee. Burnt coffee need I say more.... Ditto with Adam's take on service. Utterly disappointed.

Poor service, overpriced.<br/>That said the coffee and cake was pretty decent

Walked in at. 3pm on a Saturday to do some work. Had my laptop out and some notes. Ordered a coffee started to work, needed to get the wifi password . So I walked up and asked for the password. The barista acted very strangely and wouldn't make eye contact with me which is quite offensive. She then said that they were closing. Would surely like to have known that prior to purchasing a dine-in coffee after they had apparently closed, but they just wanted some extra money. Smh. My fault for not knowing they closed but damn customer service here is abominable. Shots on Lake across the street serves a MUCH better coffee and the baristas there are quite lovely (e.g., Ella). Would recommended that over Little Bird any day.

Lovely. A major revamp has produced fantastic food, delicious smoothies and great service. Recommend.

Had a late breakfast here on Easter Sunday around 11.30am. Service was excellent...fast and super friendly, and the food was beautiful! We ordered the buckwheat pancakes with cashew cream, the eggs Benedict and the granola with co-yo. It was all delicious and really beautifully presented! Oh and the love tonic juice and coffee were awesome too! Win win!! We will be back soon!! :)

Drove past this cute place today and was drawn in by the appeal of the organic smoothies. Had a beautiful vegetarian quesadilla which was packed full of flavour! Well priced with a great selection of food and drinks.

Haloumi quested ill was one .... Haloumi quesedilla was one of nicest things I've ever eaten. Gorgeous little cafe, can't wait to come back and try something else from the menu.
JClaire92
Such a great menu, and super cute cafe! I got the jarlsberg and salami sandwich ($5.50 from memory) - the bread was a bit to salty, but it was delish. I was going to have a banana smoothie but after the lovely lady at the till gave me a free taste of the banana and coconut, i went with that instead, im not normally a fan of coconut but it wasso refreshing and light, loved it, especially with the chai seeds sprinkled onto. Would reccomend, i'll be going back asap :-)
SugaredDoughnut
Cute store! I had excellent service when I went. If I feel like a smoothie and in the area I'd come here.

Great Fresh Chai, pancakes so yummy, All the staff where so lovely expect one german girl must have been having a bad morning.

BEST SMOOTHIES IN PERTH!!!!!. Try them all, but the banana smoothies are out of this world!!!!!!!!

Great space and lovely selection of good, although this place suffers from the same things as most Perth cafés. Lots of staff standing around or tending to too many behind the scenes tasks, thus forgetting the needs of patrons. My cake and coffee were placed in front of me, on a table that was dirty from the patron before. Also, kids and babies crawling around. Staff seem to be having fun chatting amongst themselves though - why work when you can chat with your work mates???

Disappointed , coffee average service below average ! Should I forgive it being early on a Monday morning but !!!!
I Don't Like Cooking
Heaven for those with gluten intolerences. Three of us had to find a quick lunch on the way to a meeting. I have intolerences, so it's never an easy search.<br/>Something about the look of this cafe has us doing a u-turn in order to get to it and weren't we glad we did. Quality food and drinks in a nice atmosphere is what it's all about. We wished we had time for a game or two of chess on the nice looking board waiting on the table.<br/>I had the GF Haloumi Burger and green tea. Later I saw the banana/coconut smoothie and wished I'd had that. Sadly we head back interstate tomorrow and I've lost my opportunity.<br/>You should see the range of GF cakes and slices, some made on the premises!<br/>Heaven.

Great Coffee!!!!. Finally a place that makes great coffee and tasty healthy food.<br/>Nice place to sit and get some work done with free wifi.

Wow!!. My satnav took me to the wrong cafe - but I am so glad to have found this cafe! <br/>The menu is great, and the food all so healthy and made from scratch (feels that way, anyway), and full of flavour.<br/><br/>We had the haloumi burger with GF buns. The buns were great! I also had the hot chocolate, made with their homemade almond milk.<br/><br/>Delish! New favourite cafe :) :) :)

Little Birdy!. Open since last Tuesday this raw food cafe on the corner of Newcastle and Lake street is a new addition to the Perth cafe scene.<br/><br/>A bit quiet when we arrived around 10:15 but the service was friendly. After placing your order at the counter you get a little bird with a number on it to hang off the little tree on your table.<br/><br/>We ordered the spinach with poached eggs and the homemade baked beans with chorizo. For drinks we ordered a cappuccino and a Chai Latte. The meals were quite clean in taste and presentation. A few hiccups here and there but this is to be expected of a place open for under a week.<br/><br/>Everything came out quite fast and at the same time. By this stage a lot more people had arrived. There wasn't any music playing initially when we arrived but this was then rectified.<br/><br/>Overall the food was "okay" and the atmosphere was a bit "awkward" due to the lack of music early on. I believe this is early days though. The coffee and chai were decent along with the service. Bear in mind this place hasn't been open for very long.<br/><br/>Worth a look in but be aware that there is a very limited Breakfast menu.

Gem waiting to be discovered. Finally!!! A cafe in Perth near the CBD that caters for the Paleo diet. Plenty of gluten free options and delicious treats, healthy smoothies, home-made chai tea mix and clean, simple food.<br/><br/>The breakfast was delicious and I was so excited to find a cafe a short drive from the office that offers almond milk as a non-dairy alternative, freshly made no less!<br/><br/>The cafe itself has a lovely, warm, rustic feel and the staff and polite and friendly. Perfect for lazy Saturday morning catch ups over a bite to eat.<br/><br/>This place is definitely my new favourite cafe. I'll be back here again and often.

Another hidden delight in Northbridge is the Little Bird Cafe on Lake Street. The interior of the cafe itself is fantastic and very open. There is also an outdoor area which is where we sat on our visit. The cafe itself was quite busy and the music was heard faintly behind the conversations and catch ups taking place that morning.

Little Bird Cafe is a fantastic little spot – reasonably priced lunches, super cute food and the most amazing cakes made right there by the staff in the kitchen. The smoothies themselves are well worth a visit, but why would you stop at just that? Sit a while and enjoy the vibe I say!

The Little Bird Café in Northbridge sports an in-vogue menu of gluten free, dairy free, and paleo friendly menu items. It's situated on a serene part of Lake street, away from the chaotic centre of Northbridge. The café sports indoor and outdoor seating, and on a fine Spring Winter Sunday the atmosphere was perfect. When confronted with the choice, I tend to opt for the added-gluten, extra-cruelty and doubly-processed option -- more concerned with the pragmatism and flavour of food than its politics.

There are lots of healthy options, including vegetarian and gluten free foods. Little Bird have an extensive smoothie range, we were unable to resist and ordered a couple to share.
Everyday Weekends (Yoshika)
Last Friday we had breakfast for lunch at Little Bird Cafe on Lake. Located at 100 Lake Street in Northbridge, this growing cafe offers up a treat. We started off sitting outside, however the table behind us were being extremely loud and noisy (they were literally shouting and screaming at each other even though they were right next to each other) so we decided to find a quieter spot inside. I'm not quite sure what's going on with the decor and furniture at Little Bird. There are four distinct sections within the building. One is the outside where we first sat, the second is a outdoor patio area, the third is a hip and funky area in front of the counter and the fourth is a large seating area that looks too formal and strange. I think the fourth section used to belong a cafe called Overflow that ran out of business and left behind huge paintings and tables and chairs, and Little Bird has knocked down the wall to make the cafe bigger. You know that atmosphere that's found at bustling hip cafes? The one that makes you feel all leisurely and trendy? You can find this atmosphere at Little Bird, although, not in the fourth section. Little Bird offers an all day breakfast and they also specialise in burgers. A lot of the dishes come with gluten free options and takes in consideration of several dietary requirements, like dairy intolerance and vegetarianism. I think that's great! Little Bird also has a great selection of smoothies and fresh juices. I ordered the peanut butter and chocolate smoothie, my sister ordered the banana and coconut smoothie and my mum ordered the super juice with beetroot, ginger, apple and I think oranges? All were so yum! My smoothie was quite decadent and heavy, but I thoroughly enjoyed it because banana, chocolate and peanut butter is a combination made in heaven! Here's a tip though, don't order it if you're going to order something heavy, it gets a bit too much! When I looked at the menu, my eyes were immediately drawn to the coconut and buckw

Juicy, tender beef fillet, with a slurry of caramelised onion. Rocket popped out from the sides and the sourdough bread was buttery and lightly toasted. I could not stop, bite after bite.

Situated on Northbridge’s quiet Lake Street, Little Bird is a sun-filled and quaint cafe. Featuring long benches on the footpath, a small courtyard by its side (be wary of the hungry crows which sent me scurrying indoors!) and plenty of small tables and couches – it’s a great place to get grab a coffee and get comfortable. Their breakfast and lunch menus are served all day, so I was lucky enough to try their granola for a late lunch. Served with a vanilla coconut yoghurt and poached pear, it was crunchy, sweet and filling. For those that way inclined, it is also gluten-free. 100 Lake Street, Northbridge
Queen Of Bad Timing
I am loving this new wave of breakfast places popping up throughout our beautiful Perth that have a focus on delivering both flavour and aesthetically pleasing dishes. Visiting here did not disappoint at all after so much hype.
The Breakfast Confidential
The latest cafe whose food has been filling my Instagram feed is Little Bird Cafe. When you make your food look amazing - EVERYONE is going to share it on the social media trifecta (facey, insty and twitter). Breakfast isn't just about slopping up some bacon and eggs on a plate anymore! Filled with modish recycled furniture, Little Bird is a deceivingly large space. There is bar seating outside as well as a huge sweeping space inside. There's plenty of room for large groups and well well worn couches for curling up with your bestie over a smoothie, cake and coffee. This is the kind of menu that you feel healthier for just reading. The gluten, dairy and meat adverse amongst us will love what's on offer here but don't fret bacon lovers, they have you covered too. Prices range from $5 for croissants with jam up to $20 for a sweet potato and pancetta hash served with a poached egg and a pear salad. One of my fave locals, Pound coffee, supplies the hot stuff. It's always good. Always. If a

Website:  https://www.facebook.com/TheLittleBirdCafe The Little Bird Cafe located on Lake Street in Northbridge was recommended by my sister’s friend for its smoothies – the Green Smoothie in particular was highly recommended. After checking out the photos on Urbanspoon, my family and I decided to head there for breakfast one weekend. Some of the photos of the food at the Little Bird Cafe just looked so picturesque! The Little Bird Cafe is quite big in size, with a spacious indoor area, outdoor high benches near the entrance and a courtyard area. The decor was very cool, retro and antiquey, there are a few items that will make you look twice out of admiration. I really like the multi-colored lampshade sitting on the table! Apologies to my readers as I forgot to take a photo of it to show you! I also like the live entertainment that came from the guitarist, gracing us with his songs and singing throughout our meal. Absolutely loved the atmosphere. Orders are taken at the counter and the
