I Had a celebration there and it was great! The food was really good, the staff were friendly and it was well coordinated! I would definitely recommend
Always accomodating to our every request to the most fussiest people - always prepared to vary their menu to facilitate vegans and vegetarians alike - five star experience! Thanks to Danielle and Justin!.
Nice staff, tasty food and good value. What’s not to like.
Chicken Caesar salad, steak chips and salad.
Great venue for after work drinks and nibbles in Perth's CBD. Plenty of choice for drinks and lots of tasty food which is perfect for sharing. Can comfortably sit outside even in winter with portable heaters dotted around the place. The also had the footy playing via projector on the wall of the building next door, although it was a bit hard to see properly through the plants out front. Would visit again.
We popped into Public House Kitchen and Bar on Friday after work. Happy hour cocktails were delish and a great DJ was in action. Table service was attentive, warm and friendly. We sat outside, which was lovely as we were kept cosy with super gas heating and could even keep an eye on the football as it was cleverly projected onto an outside wall. Enjoyed all the nibble plates. Very reasonable prices, excellent, friendly service. Will be back.
I was pretty happy with everything here - service was great (our main waitress was a bit too pushy on the drinks) but all were knowledgeable and helpful, and returned frequently to see if we needed anything. The food was great for everything - even my steak sandwich which looked average but tasted great with the most tender steak and perfectly cooked sweet potato chips with dipping sauce. My friend had a gorgeous and generous ceviche although her croquettes looked dry and didn't have any promised cheese. But the rest of the table got the feast and every course looked lovely. We had no issues with using our Entertainment books and will be back.
With there with a group of girlfriends and it was a lovely night. Great ambience, tasty food. The cocktail tasting platter was AMAZING! Recommend going with a group for sure!
Popped in for some snacks before a late dinner. The empanadas were delicious, with a light and crispy pastry. The tacos were tasty enough but a bit dry and they felt overpriced.
The Cab Shiraz of the month was also very drinkable and made for a very affordable pre dinner option
For years I’ve been driving past Public House and hoping to go inside one day. Well that day finally came. Now I’m not sure how I’m going to stop from going back on a monthly basis. The venue and food is excellent and you get a free movie. Really it’s all about the food isn’t it, so why wait here’s what we picked from the Latin American tapas menu.
We visited Public House during the week for a light meal. We were surprised to see so many people given the day and time. The food and drinks were pretty decent, with a good selection of both. The food's nothing amazing, but it's good none the less. It's a good venue for an after work beer.. or two...
I have been here a few times in the last couple of months. It is conveniently located a short walk from the Perth Concert Hall and seems to fill up about an hour before the show starts with audience members trying to grab a quick bite before they head off for the next part to their evening, myself amongst them.
The food here is delicious - there has been no disappointments on this menu so far. I highly recommend trying the boards - they change seasonally but at the moment it is a Smokers board with a sample of several different meats which are all on the menu as their own dishes - ribs, pulled pork, skewers, chicken wings etc. The board and a side dish or two is perfect for two people to munch away on and feel full afterwards.
I also recommend washing it down with cocktail. My current favourite is the Pink Panther - a lychee based cocktail. It is sweet and pretty. As my friend said "it even tastes pretty."
The atmosphere here is sociable, however the serve has been hit and miss. I found depending on where you are seated in the venue will determine how quick and sociable the servers are. I have come to prefer sitting outside - particularly when they have the black and white films playing and the summer weather kicks in, the service tends to be quicker and more friendly outside. I haven't had much luck with service when sitting inside.
Decor was warm and welcoming as was the service. Great menu. We sat at a high table on the side with a view a cross the bar to the street and the old time movie projected onto the adjacent wall. Chorizo was to die for. Lamb ribs equally good and the Beetroot sales was a winner. Loved the selection of beers (sans CUB) and wines. Just that little bit different. Would be even better with a larger group as the menu is designed to be shared.
