Review Palsaik Namoo - Perth

Adrian M
The main event may be Korean BBQ here, but they also do Korean fried chicken and also serve beer and other alcohol for chimaek. There's only one BBQ hotplate per table so you'll need to designate the chefs closer to the hot plate, and you can order various cuts of plain and marinated beef or pork, or order a set meal package designed for 2 or 4 people which include BBQ and other side dishes that can include a hotpot, rice, salad, banchan, and even a seafood pancake with the 4 people set. Serving sizes in the sets are generous and are sure to satisfy your appetite. Food is otherwise decent, though some additional different dipping sauces would be nice. The setting and restaurant seems to be modern and clean. Service is good and the manager that served us was very polite and accommodating.
Ben
We had a lot of fun here recently. The serving sizes were fantastic and the food was tasty. The wait staff were really busy, sometimes running to tables to keep things moving in a timely manner, I think this is indicative of the industry's problems at the moment more than the quality of Palsaik's service. The air-conditioning is a bit lacking though, which is pretty necessary during summer when you're seated next to a BBQ. Still, we'll go again.

Over all ok. pork chop meat after cooking is a bit hard, those meat in slices were well marinated. Dipping sauce for the meat is slightly sweet for me.

My second time for this pork belly combo set!! Always amazing with all the meat, side dishes!!This set definitely for 3-4 ppl but not 2 pp hahaaa Love it my favourite pork belly Korean BBQ in perth🔥
Sam Joy
My favourite place to go for Kbbq! It’s relatively cheap compared to other Kbbqs. The food and side dishes come out quickly and the food taste really good! Highly recommend it to all my friends who come to Perth for a visit. There was 4 of us and we got a set B for 2-3, 2 bonesless chickens, takoyaki, cheese tteokbokki and the palsaik beer. It was around $150-$160. But we were very full and took home left overs! Also they do a discount if you pay by cash. 😉

About 30mins wait on a Friday night. Busy place but staffs were attentive. Meat and stew were pretty good but charred bbq grill plate wasn’t replaced throughout the session.
Jason Kotze
All four of us loved the food and the entire experience. We ordered the BBQ Combo B with a few extras and the pork belly platter add on.
Stacey Lovesgames
Wonderful got deunk and had fantastic food. Got the larger pack b

I mean it when I say everything from combo A that was placed in front of me is heaven in its truest form. I love the marinade here and all the salads are crazy good. This would be a 5 star if it wasn’t for some bad service on a couple of occasions by one worker but apart from that they are happy to serve you with more sauces and swapping the beef brisket for more beef skirt.

Loveee this place
A unique restaurant that sets itself aside from the varying asian restaurant options in perth city. A great idea for a date. The food sets make it easy to pick a good combination of meals and is also cheap given the variety and serving sizes. Friendly staff however not as responsive. Not enough dipping sauce is given for the meat but it tastes amazing and the staff are happy to provide more with no additional charge. They are also happy to cater other options for meal sets if there is a specific request.

Feeling like a Korean BBQ? This is the place to go. Busy and energetic vibe. Great food and reasonable price. I’d recommend one of their set banquets.

Cons: Smokey area so expect to come out smelling like a bbq (not much ventilation). Because it’s so busy and understaffed you may need to ask the waiter a few times for drinks/food before they remember to bring it.

Other than that. Great little Korean BBQ spot.
Vicky Sun
I ordered several dishes here with a friend but nothing good. All the meat are soooooo sweet, and the BBQ does not come with green vegetables; The kimchi is not spicy at all; The soybean soup looks like kimchi soup. Will never back again!
Hilissa
The food was okay. The meats were quite sweet and the kimchi pancake was very bland, no spice or taste to it at all. Not enough sides and greens where given for a group our size. Service was greatly lacking. Not sure if they were just understaffed on the night but it was almost impossible to get any servers to our table. The flame on our grill went off(empty gas cylinder) and it was so difficult to get any servers to relight it for us after trying to call one to our table several times. Twice we had to get up and search for someone to come to our table. The same goes when trying to order extra drinks or food to our table. We were not offered any tap water on our table which I thought was standard. Given that our group paid a $200 bill, service was not up to standard with other Korean bbq places we’ve been to around Perth.
N.lam
Not as good as it use to be. The food was good minus the kimichi pancake being a little burnt and our bibimbap wasn't crunchy on the bottom. Seafood soup was great. The service has taken a dive. Waited 20 minutes for a beer while everything else came out. They might need more staff.
Angela
My favourite Korean bbq place!! The food is simple yet so good. I’ve been to quite a few KBBQ places but I always find this one to be the best one

Was very excited to try palsaik, we came as a group of 4 and I asked if we could sit in the booth in which they said a minimum of 6 people can sit in there, fair enough. But a group of 4 came in 10mins after us (they were Asian, and we had brown skin) and asked for the booth and they gave it to them. We were one of the early ones to come (only 2 tables were there before us) and we ended up being the last table to get our food. We ordered the cheese + rice cake and chicken dish (forgot it’s name) and they served it to us with the cheese and when asked they said “oh right” and she ran to go and get the cheese. They forgot to give us our rice that comes with the soup, so had to ask for that. Had to ask for our beef dishes because we were waiting more than 25mins for it to come out (it’s raw, shouldn’t take that long to come out). When we eventually got all our food, it was decent, not the best but not the worst. Definitely not worth the price.
Also at the end when we asked for take away containers at the end, the lady brought us the containers but she threw it onto the table and ran past. We had the same waitress throughout the night, don’t know her name but she knew English perfectly and had terrible customer service. Definitely won’t be back and will let my friends know to try sura or took bi ge instead.

Delicious Korean food! This place is very popular and is always busy. The food is awesome- the Palsaik sets are such amazing value. 100% recommend
Karaokeangel
Food was average it’s better if you order a set off the menu and cook it yourself. The dishes we ordered were both too sweet 😵.. prob won’t be back >__
Honest Henry
The lunch menu here is delicious and good value. Nice decor and ambience too.
Dinner is also varied, delicious, and good value.
Love the K-pop music too :)
Espresso&Matcha
Ending our Sydney trip with Korean BBQ, it is only fitting that we begin our first Perth trip of the year again with Korean BBQ. Having done some research beforehand I found that the most popular and highest rated KBBQ in town appeared to be Palsaik. As we were not entirely sure of our landing time, I was unable to make a booking.
ITSFOODNET
Fantastic quality of food here. Service is not too bad as well. However, it gets real crowded, real fast so it's better to make bookings ahead of time. The general ambience of this restaurant is good and I definitely see myself coming back.
Matt
Food is great and value for money. I've probably dined here over 10~15 times over the last 5/6 years. That's about 2/3 times a year on average. The standard hasn't changed / good consistency. Would highly recommend.
LittleGirlBigFood
When a place has eight varieties of pork belly you stop and you take a second to try. Or more than a second. Palsaik Namoo has great food. No it’s not vegan or close to lol. But it’s very good.
Juerong Qiu
The palsaik set is a must. Highly recommended! The best Korean BBQ I've ever had in Australia! This set has 8 different flavors and each of them is very unique and tasty. Estimated wait time is half an hour. The price is very reasonable.
Nicole Palmer
Really good Korean bbq - seafood pancake and kimchi jigae are also great picks. The combo sets are a good way to get a nice selection of dishes and we found the four person one pretty generous.
Peasant From Perth
Even though waiting in line sucks, the food is great and I love the fact it gives free refills of kimchi and selected condiments. I always get the set for 2 which usually does the trick of filling us up!

Staff are nice and friendly, pretty attentive to my needs most of the time.
Navi Singh
A local friend strongly recommended this place and to keep things simple we ordered the set menu for 4pax ($98). Though our salad went missing, the rest of the food was great - highlights for us were the kimchi pancake and the flavorful pork belly at the end. Though we smelt like food at the end, we all thought it was well worth it
Thien
Been here many times for dinner. Probably one of the best Korean restaurant in Perth. The food is really nice and fresh. One of my favourite.

This place can get really busy after 6pm.
Jazmin Licup
Had a dinner here with my friend. The place was full! Had to wait for a few minutes. However, the wait was worth it. We had the set A combo which was $54 if I remember and it was amazing. We also had the cheese rice cake and I loved it. The staff was very friendly and welcoming.
GetinmyBelly
Lots of room for large groups, wait staff were friendly and helpful, good menu and the kimchi soup was DELISH! The complimentary sides was one of the best I have had in Perth. Will b back!
JuYeethejoey
The 8 flavoured pork belly is a signature and must try at this restaurant. The pork are rolled and served on a wooden tray with their flavours labelled: garlic, curry, wine, miso, bulgogi, pepper and chilli. We also ordered combo A, kimchi pancake and cold noodles. Restaurant is good for groups but could leave your hair and clothing smell as the ventilation wasnt great.
MacchasoufflĂŠ
The best korean bbq compared to others in perth. Love the pork set, and I reccomend requesting for the kimchi soup with it. With two people you will definitely get bloated with the pork set. They're generous with the sides (kimchi) and the cut of pork is fatty and thick.
Eug Soo
This is my favourite korean bbq place awesome atmosphere friendly staff and food is so yummy! I ordered combo A there is alot of dishes for $54, yummy great value a good place for dinner after work with friends or even a date.
Foodie_Pri
The ratings for this restaurant are pretty spot on. The decor could do with a bit of sprucing, but great value for money! I went in a group of 4, and we didn't realise we had ordered soo much, there was no room on the table for our food, so you could be bumping elbows. We ordered set A, with 8 types of pork belly. The garlic, ginseng and black pepper pork was delicious. The kimchi jeon was light and tasty. The spicy bokkum could have done with more noodles and less onion. The Soju was a great addition, especially in winter, it warms the belly. All in all, a great experience :)
M.S.
Great food especially the Korean bbq and a good atmosphere. The only downside is the popularity of the place meaning that you might have to wait for some time.
Master Diner
I ordered too much food! Really enjoyed this experience. They don’t take individual bookings. Just bookings for big groups. The value is great. The staff are onto it. We will return when in Perth next.
Smritima Lama
Two of us went excited to try Korean bbq. And boy were we stuffed!! Tried Set B which had both pork and beef to be Grilled alongwith salad, soybean soup, 2 Rice bowls and several banchans (side dishes). I was full with just that. However my sister was really keen on trying the bossam (pork belly) so we ordered that too ;) I also tried the plum sake which went perfectly with my meal. Its a great place to have drinks and grilled meats especially in groups and the sooner you reach the better coz it get quite crowded by 6:30 and the waiting can be excruciating with the smell of the grilled meats tickling your senses.
Foodiel
RIP OFF. Be ready to pay for all the basics!!!$4 for a small bowl of lettuce..pay for garlic and chilli too. These are the basics for Korean BBQ. Terrible and such a rip off. The poor staff working - extremely understaffed. There were heaps of tables free yet we had to wait 45 minutes. Not coming back!! massive rip off.
I Like Food
Went for dinner with a group of us and had an awesome meal, great service, friendly and helpful staff.
We ordered the Combo for 4 and added a serve of 8 flavored pork belly cuts for the spread. A bunch of beer and wine and then it was about to come upon us really fast.
Started with the Kimchi stew/soup which was really tasty and the spiciness just made that much better. The cuts of meat and salads all were just as fabulous, and we all left content.
There were a couple of things about this restaurant that effected my rating and that was the lack of cooling in the place, in fact very hot and they should install A/C or have decent fans moving air over customers. The other point was the male bathroom was not the cleanest and made it a bit unpleasant going in there to use it.
In all recommend this restaurant but get seating near a big window for some air and take a sweat band or towel.
Eunice
Came here for lunch on a Sunday, wasn’t busy and had the most friendly and attentive waiter serving us, making sure we have enough side dishes and sauces. The pork bibimbap served in the stone claypot was flavoursome. Been here few years ago with their 8 flavour pork belly, you can tell it’s busier night time with much more of a bigger crowd. Overall experience here was really good!
Janodi
I’ve been many times and all times the food has been delicious and the meat is always great quality! We got the different types of pork, all flavours were great the staff are friendly as well. It can get busy so if you don’t go early it’s harder to get a table.
F00d13
Really good korean bbq! Love their kimchi pancake and budae jigae. The 8 flavour pork is also really nice, but I think only a good food connoisseur can actually taste the slight difference.

They’ve recently had a change in menu, which I don’t like. They got rid of the toppoki stew. They also now have melted cheese on the bbq tray to dip your meats in, and they give you mashed potatoes, which do not taste good.

I still love eating here, despite all this. One of my fav korean bbq restaurants.
Monique Pauchnik
Bet KBBQ that I have been able to find everytime I come back to Perth. It is a must during my visits. The atmosphere is amazing, beautiful decor and tables. Staff are always so friendly and look after us well. The food is great, a little expensive compared to my normal Melbourne location, however it is always delicious and comes wonderfully presented.
Benny Leong
Had dinner here on thurs evening and ordered combo b with 4 people. I really enjoyed the service and how every meat option had to be used on a different grill that was very interesting.

Service was impeccable and staff were very friendly and attentive.

The food was nice but the bulgogi hotpot was way too sweet it tasted like syrup. Everything else was good. We will be back but we will skip hotpots and just order pure meat and pancakes.

Shannonzhu1226
Extremely terrible experience! Good food but extremely bad service. We waited about 5 minutes to take our first order, however, there were two waitress 2 meters away from us and were chatting happily. We even stood up and asked for serving, but waitress told us to wait. After we took the second order, three waitress checked with the order, but we waited for about half hour. When we said we want to cancel the second order, they brought the meat in 3 minutes.
Dan W
I could not complain about the cuts of meat given. The meat was tender and fresh. Staff were helpful and would check in regularly even when things were busy. The food was good and the sets they offer are priced reasonably. Kimchi stew was full of flavour.
Reynaldo
One of the decent Korean BBQ place in the city area. Fast service, decent pricing, and decent portion.

I would recommend the Palsaik Set for $66. You will get 8 portions of pork belly, a salad, and a kimchi hot pot with 2 portions of rice.

Although the menu said that it is for 2, I think these are enough to feed 3 people.
Lunarcry
Visited this place after reading its rave reviews on zomato. With a party of 3 we opted for combo A (which is recommended for 2) and added on the kimchi pancake and takoyaki. There were more than enough food to feed us all. I thought the marinaded meats were just so-so. Ventilation in the restaurant was rather poor too with it being stuffy and smelt strongly of the barbeque. Not sure if I’ll be returning in a hurry...
Ilovebeansprouts
8 different flavours of pork belly- it's like having a pork belly tasting in one seating! Flavours are all interesting, but they're not all equally nice. Some tasted quite similar, while some tasted distinctively different (and funky, like the curry flavour).
Kimchee pancake and kimchee hotpot was alright.

Love the freshness of the veg and salads that came with the BBQ set meal.
The variety of sauces is fantastic; super enjoyed the melted cheese dip on the hot plate. Potato salad, however was quite a let-down. Potato came in the form of potato tater tots with sweet coating, that made the little gems dry, tough and chewy.

Service is friendly, but disorganised. Our sauces, side dishes and salads all came separately at random interval times. Some came at the start of the meal, and some came after we've had the first lot of meat. Green lettuce came a bit later into the meal, and pancake dipping sauce was served much later after the pancake has been served.
Portion sizes are big, so you will definitely get filled up at the end of the meal.
Love Eating Out
Great Korean food
Hubbie and I went on a Friday night after we had seen the good reviews.
The service was outstanding - very quick and the staff were all very friendly and helpful.
We ordered the kimchi pancake which was ok - some of the seafood was a little tough and the middle probably need slighter more cooking. The taste was great though.
We then ordered pork and beef off the separate menu (the set menu is probably better value but we did not want the soup) with lettuce and rice. The side dishes were varied and generous. The pork and beef were both delicious. Will definitely return.
Rino Febrian
The food is outstanding! My first time eating korean bbq but definitely will come again! The price is great. They’re really serious about their side dish as well
Shiwoo Jeong
good quaility ingredients, one of the best korean restaurant in perth!!! Everything on the menu is must-try. If you want real korean food, here!!
C.May
Definitely the best BBQ I had in Perth! Tried the 8 flavour pork, beef brisket and ox tongue. It was just delish, good marination and portions were generous. The flavoured soju and makgeolli was amazing, worked really well with the meat. Will definitely be back for more!
Cyn.trn27
Love coming here with family and friends! Service is really good and the food is worth the wait. I would love if they could open up for Friday lunch x
Luka Neo
Very impressed with the level of quality and service! The staff are very friendly and attentive and the food is very tasty. Though your clothes will smell of bbq after leaving (as expected with EVERY k bbq place) it’s absolutely worth it because the food is top notch!
Live2eat
Fantastic service (thanks Jess)
Great Value!! $95 including alcohol and very very filling , good quality food(and sauce). Will come again and will recommend to my friend.
Did I mention fantastic service !!

Went for Sunday lunch, pretty quiet, no queue. If you want to have a leisurely lunch here, this is the time to go. We were only two people, but we ordered the set menu for 4, aka Combo B. I only liked two out of the 4 types of meats served, but the other two types were also decent. Love the seafood pancake / haemul pajeon. Love all the different sauces and banchans served. Love the cheese sauce, you can dip the meat in it once it has melted.

Kimchi hotpot wasn't that great, I think it's more of a gochujang jjigae than a kimchi jjigae, it has strong gochujang flavour. Considering it was the first dish that came out, and we were quite hungry, we didn't eat much of it. We didn't finish the mash potato salad, wasn't worth eating.

Because it was quiet, service was prompt. All around me, the people got their food in good time.
Chung & Sarah
Huge fan of Korean bbq, this place didnt disappoint. Ordered combo B with 8 flavours of pork belly ... only realised after we left that we didnt get our rice ... particularly enjoyed the pork belly so it didnt leave us overly disappointed.
Mgnangoy
Busy place. Food and ambiance were good. However the staff were rude and place was dirty. Found cockroaches at the table. Won't consider coming back again.
Te Paea-Mei Ririnui-Hennings
Amazing food and friendly staff, came here with two friends during my stay in Perth and thoroughly enjoyed. Great value for money, doesnt look like it will fill you up but it definitely does. The combo's are definitely a sure way to go.
LS
Lovely Korean BBQ with a very good range of deals to choose from the menu. We were very satisfied with the taste, cleanliness and taste at Palsaik. Only one problem. They do not allow you to bring birthday cake even though they do not offer any dessert on the menu.

We took a home baked cake to celebrate a birthday and they would only allow us to cut the cake on the condition that we pay $3.50 per person and there were 8 of us altogether. Ridiculous $28 for no product given to us. We would have accepted should they had proposed $2 for the time spent to eat the cake and for the cost of the serviettes. It was 9pm and there were not even any queue and they had plenty of empty tables. Think this establishment needs to learn whats 'reasonable' in trying to make a profit out of the customer. No doubt we have never returned to Palsaik Namoo since and have been going to Gang Nam, Waterford Plaza
BenG
Impressed. Cracking atmosphere, friendly staff and the Kimchee pancake was outstanding.
Would love to be back with friends to try the BBQ.
Highly recommended.
KoaLe
The place to go for authentic Korean BBQ!! After traveling to Seoul and having the real taste of Korean BBQ, I'm immensely overwhelmed to have found a place which recreates the exact same taste! The food is priced reasonable, meals are well portioned, ambience is great and their service is good. Only thing I'm missing is extra green chilli and garlic on the side like they have in Korea. Otherwise just to recommend!
Jeffrey Ong
Always amazing! The amount of food is perfect for any gathering and the staff are always friendly! Never had a disappointing experience with the service or the food.
Raymond Leung
As busy as it seems, the wait for a table was pretty alright. Ordered the Combo B which is great value for money given the portion and variaties. If you like marinated meat for kbbq and kimchi hotpot then this is the place or Sun BBQ will offer better meat quality.
Chels Badger
This is our special occasion Korean bbq place!! A bit more expensive than other KBBQ in Perth but everything about it is so worth it. The set menus are great value.
Eat For Living
Located in the middle of CBD, it's pretty hard to find parking and quite crowded. It's not a restaurant for you to hang out and take your time to dine. You will get the feeling the waitresses wil hurry you on due to lack of seatings.

But the services provided are pretty good in consideration of busy, buzzing restaurant.

The food is quite fabulous and tasty. I do recommend the BBQ varieties and try out the kimchi pancake.

Overall will come back again to continue tasting other dishes.
Michelle
This was our first time dining at a Korean BBQ. They set the standard pretty high. The meals were exquisite. Lots of variety and flavours so fantastic. The service was very prompt. Loved the venue too...great vibe. Can't wait to go again.
Grace.batane
Visiting Perth for the weekend. We love Asian food and Korean is our favourite. We were not expecting a wow factor but everything exceeded our expectations from this restaurant! Excellent food, excellent service, great vibe!!! The best Korea restaurant we have been in Australia!!!
Some Like It Hot
Had the 8 kinds of pork bbq set. Like the whole cooking your own food at the table although wouldn't go on a hot night like we did last night. The sides of soup and kimchi were really nice. If you like Korean I'd recommend this to you. Service was friendly and this dish with extra rice cost $72 which is cheap when split 3 ways. Wouldn't get this dish if you had less people.
Di
Korean BBQ has always been a favourite of mine so I was pretty excited to be trying out this restaurant. I went with my friend for dinner and since it was only about 6.30pm, the crowd wasn't very large yet so we immediately got our table. When we left though, it was very crowded with a long queue.

We ordered the Combo A BBQ set for two people, which included marinated pork neck, marinated flank skirt, marinated premium brisket, kimchi jjigae and twi bowls of rice, quite a lot for two people! I don't know why I only took a picture of the kimchi soup!

I really enjoyed the meats and they were really delicious. The seasoning was also good and they gave a dipping sauce, which I like to dip the half-cooked meat into, before cooking them again. We grilled our own meat here, which can be kind of confusing for first timers. The kimchi jjigae was also enjoyable, but we were too full to finish it all. I really liked the kimchi they gave, but the size was a bit too small.

What interested me the most about this place is the 8-flavoured pork but unfortunately, we didn't try it as it would be too much for two people. I would definitely come back to try the pork!
Eat Up
We always come here when we crave for Korean BBQ. Palsaik set - 8 flavored pork is always our favorite choice and it also came with a seafood hot pot. Delicious kimchi too!
Foodie Loving Food, Food Loving Foodie
Highly recommended if you love Korean BBQ!!! Everything was really good tasting & quality, even right down to the side dishes. All flavors are authentic! Prices are reasonable & attentive service. Downside is you can't feel any air con if there was any, so it's pretty much as hot as the BBQ!
Casey
This is my favourite Korean restaurant in Perth. Very cheap and great for entertaining large groups of 6+

if you want to get a table for a big group go early as this place has a line at 6:30 - 7pm.
Elena Nguyen
It was an absolutely terrible experience and I would not recommend it to anyone. My family and I had a large table of 10 to celebrate my dad's 48th Birthday where I brought along a beautiful little cake. I was told that we had to pay an extra $3.50 per person to eat the cake? An extra $35 on top of the public holiday surcharge was insane. The restaurant did not offer any kind desserts so why charge us to eat a birthday cake we brought for our dad? The lady with the short black hair (who i presume runs the place) had awful customer service as she obviously does not believe in customer loyalty. This was very unacceptable behaviour.
Mars Wu
Reasonable price... friendly staffs....
If you don't mind to be waited in queues for your table.... the bbq is good....better to order the combo.....
Schmamie
Best kbbq, unlimited sides.

only shit thing is that their opening and closing times online don't match the actual time that they serve food. We've found ourselves there well before closing time and they turn us away.
Felicity
This place is my favourite place to go for Korean BBQ. Although the down side is that you leave the restaurant smelling like smoked meat. Nonetheless we ordered the beef combination B for 4 people for $76. The enjoyable part is that we get to cook our own meat as we eat with the steamed rice. Now if you like spicy food, then the kimchi jeongal soup is ideal for you! I particularly liked the spicy flavour of the kimchi in the soup combined with the soft tofu and mushrooms. The seafood pancake serves as a good starter while we waited for the meat to cook. The staff were very attentive and occasionally come to help cut up the meat for us! Overall an enjoyable experience for us (as always)
Olivia Major
Never disappoints. One of my favourite places for KBBQ. However they recently change their menu so you get a little less than the previous set menus. But if you going with a large group it's still great value. There's a new waitress there Jess. Such a lovely girl!
Perth Critic
Came here to celebrate my birthday. There were 6 of us, 5 adults and 1 child. We ordered the beef combo set B for $88 and for an additional $48 we could get the 8 flavoured pork belly. Prices seemed to have increased from the zomato menu. Food came and the pork belly is delicious, but as for the beef combo set B which is supposed to be enough for 4 people seemed so overpriced and barely just enough for 2. We also ordered an extra beef bulgogi, which was nice but had more vegies in it instead of beef. We would return but would just have the 8 flavoured pork belly set.
Raina Cheng
We went out for dinner as a team at Palsaik Namoo, a Korean BBQ restaurant near our office. We ordered two of everything, plus some grapefruit soju and peach- and banana-flavored rice wine, the latter of which served in a bowl. The banana-flavored wine kind of grew on us. The main feature at Palsaik Namoo, Palsaik 8 Color Pork Set, large pork strips marinated in 8 flavors: Original, Wine, Ginseng, Garlic, Herb, Curry, Miso and Red Pepper. They were good, but we kind of mixed them around after cutting them into small pieces, and I kind of dipped everything in the gochujang, so I barely tasted the flavors. Oops.
Osmar Susilo
This restaurant serves one of the most unique main courses, which is the 9 pork belly. The side dishes and main course is delicious, theres also a soup served with the pork belly, so i thought that was a very good idea, great ambiance and the staff was very polite and helpful.

Definitely will come there again
Zee
Probably one of the best KBBQ in Perth! Come when you're super hungry because you have to eat everything!! It does get quite packed on the weekends and you have to queue but totally worth coming.
Thu Nguyen
Fast and pretty good service when not too busy. The foods never disappoint me and my friends
C
Beef Combo Set A was delicious! The meat was tender and the dipping sauces were flavoursome. Side dish refill is free. Service was ok. Overall great place to catch up with friends and enjoy great korean bbq!
Leejames
Quick, professional and efficient service. Staff are all very accommodating and not intrusive. Palsaik Namoo is the best Korean restaurant in town! Just make sure you come in early as they don't take reservation and would have to wait more than half an hour for a table as the queue gets longer by the minute. It never fails to satisfy my tastebuds and I always leave this place happy whenever we visit.

Thank you for the best Korean place in town!!!
Mr Robot
Palsaik Namoo is my number one choice and recommendation for Korean BBQ. Upon entering, you are required to write down your name on a board and wait for your number to be systematically called out. All the staff are very friendly and seem more than happy to cater for your needs. If it is your first time here I recommend ordering the 8 flavoured pork, you receive a lot of pork belly! After returning multiple times, I have proceeded to ordering a Set Menu which is excellent value for money.
Oliviamoo
Super awesome food. We had twice in a week already and still want to go. Nothing can stop us go to Palsaik.
The flavored meat tray is must for order and the seafood hot pot for two.
Diana A
Good quality food and meat. Shared the 8 flavour pork probably enough food for 4 people. Accompanying soup was right on. Would visit again to try the beef and other dishes
Elaine Tan
Been here twice now. Awesome korean bbq and actually not too expensive.
Only downside is it gets quite smokey (cos of the bbq lol) and wait times can be crazy long.

Love this Korean BBQ place. Always busy and is a first come first serve service. This place doesn't take bookings. They have the 8 flavour pork to BBQ. I thought only some of the flavours were nice and some were average. But I also love their other dishes too.

My favorite dining place in Perth. For those that crave Asian food, this is a must try! Great soups and great BBQ. So good that I went there 3x within the week.
BREAKFASTforever
Five of us went for a birthday dinner and HAD to order the 8 flavour pork set (have been here once before and it was sooo good). It's excellent value for money as you get a large seafood soup, rice, and lots of pickles and veggies. We also ordered the beef bulgogi and it was more than enough food for 5. Good place to go for a winter meal.

The pork bulgogi was really nice! We ordered the beef bulgogi too but I dont eat beef so no comments from me. My friends find it not bad though. We ordered just a pork and beef bulgogi and a bowl of doenjang jiggae for 5 of us and we were really full!!

Very good value for me.. Ate here with 6 friends, ordered the combo C and the pork belly set, there were so much food and all were great! But maybe should give us a bigger table as there were barely any space left after they put down the dishes.. Love the marinated pork belly and also the wagyu beef 😊

After a full day of riding around Rottnest Island I was very much looking forward to dinner. If I'm completely honest, the food here was great. Great flavours. Not too salty, not too oily. Presentation was great. My only issue was the service. I found the wait staff weren't very attentive and I had to try and make eye contact at least 5 times when trying to order. I even resorted to putting my hand up. A waitress noticed and indicated she would return but she didn't. Thankfully another waiter caught me looking a little frustrated and asked if my order had been taken. It was all forgotten when the food came but if there's anything this place could work on it would be the customer service quality.

Yummo!
We ordered Beef combo C
It was far too much for us, 4 adults n 3 kids.. I reckon need 2 more Adults and 2 more kids!! Yummy K BBQ, good money spent.

We were seated in the very corner which doesn't have very good air circulation, so I was a bit hot and flustered during my meal. The bbq itself was full of variety and wasn't hard to cook on our own. Maybe some more ventilation/fans would make it an even better experience.
LittleM
My fav place to go for Kbbq. Whenever I gi,bi always get the 8 flavoured pork...so good!! If I do come again, I'll have to try something else.

Korean BBQ is one of those meals you have to prepare yourself for, and is always slightly awkward if you are not too familiar with the procedures at specific restaurants. Given that there were only two of us, we ordered the Beef Set A (soup, rice, sides, 3 meats)- $43. No one really explained how it all worked, what the lettuce/cucumber was for and what exactly was coming next. The condiments were pretty good. The beef itself lacked the flavour normally associated with good korean marinades. That being said, you can't really complain when you get a well-balanced meal for two for under $50.

We got pork 8 ways, most of them were delicious with a couple of eventful ones. The whole BBQ set up is great fun (if you don't mind smelling of smoke afterwards). Decor was lotsa unfinished wood and functional. The entire meal ended up being great value for money. Service was good, enjoyed the waiters recommendation of soju.
Foodie In Paradise
Came here on a Friday evening and this restaurant was very busy. We were sitting at the corner of the second floor. It was very hot and stuffy so we asked whether we could possibly move to the middle section ( under the air-con) but they said 'NO'.
We ordered the kimchi pancake which taste okay but nothing special. Then the palsaik set which consists of the eight different flavor of pork belly and the seafood stew. The pork belly all tasted about the same and I could not tell the different between them. The seafood stew taste quite average too.
Overall, it was quite an uncomfortable experience trying to BBQ while non stop sweating in a hot and stuffy room. The food was quite average but the palsaik set was really big serving and good value for money.

Sweats my *** off at this place 😩 the aircon wasnt running well for some reasons. We ordered the 8 type of porky and to be honest i cant tell the different of each flavour. It just all tasted almost the same for me. It's a huge serving probably could feed 3 persons.

When you get here around busy times remember to go put your name down on a list near the front desk and take a number. Ive waited 45 minutes here once on a Friday night , stayed because I was really in the mood for the experience.
Food is good, not blown away with the cuts of meat as its quite fatty but they have a variety of choices.
The Banchan sides are almost always too small but they are happy to fill you up.Kimchi Pancake was real good, and totally in love with the cold noodle soup.I tried Makkoli (rice wine) and felt real happy for the rest of the meal 😱😱😱😱😱 .

I'm just perplexed with the mushroom that comes with the veggies. They always give you one tiny small mushroom to share between 2 people...maybe its the idea that counts ?
I'll be back , its a good for every now and again.

Tried the main dish from which the restaurant is named after - Palsaik and did't think it was good. Although the meats come in different variety, they all taste really bland and actually indifferent from each other. We were sitting on the second floor and the room was just like a melting pot, stuffy and overheated from the combination of steam and heat from all the BBQ and steam pot around. The reason I didn't give a lower score is because of the hospitality of the staffs and the restaurant's unique preposition. I haven't seen this Palsaik dish in any other Korean restaurants in Perth.

Undoubtably the best korean bbq experience that I've had in Perth. You have to write your name down and take a ticket, but the wait was worth it. The food was great, the staff were friendly, and the atmosphere was really nice. The manager working there on the day I went also seems like quite a cool character. My number one choice for k-bbq so far.
Picollo
Came here twice, the first time with friends and the second, with family. On both occasions, we had their beef sets (forgot which one). Loved the Korean BBQ, although we thought the food portion could be bigger. The service here is great, and the seating condition spacious and comfortable.

Dined here last night as a table of 4 - we waited about 15 min for a table starting from 6:30pm which wasn't too bad for a Friday night. We ordered the beef set B.

Very filling and reasonably priced for 4 ppl (total $76). Decided not to get drinks because we just came from after-work drinks but there's a good selection of Korean alcohol on the menu.

We almost finished our set, including a few servings of sides (kimchi, picked onion, bean sprout). My fave item was the soup which was quite spicy. The meat in it is a little fatty so I didn't eat it. The different types of beef was good and went well with the dipping sauces (3 types). The pancake is a little oily but goes well with the sauce.

When you exit you realise you, your clothes and hair smell like BBQ but def would recommend and come back!

Open til "10:00pm" - arrived at restaurant at 9:00. - Sorry we're closed.

Get that opening hours sign updated or changed. So deceiving.

And girl at counter was so rude.

Brought the family here for dinner today. The address provided here is quite misleading as the restaurant is actually located along Barrack St rather than Hay St. A good landmark to use would be the MacDonald's which is at the corner of Hay St and Barrack St. Namoo is less than 10m from it and it faces Utopia which is directly across. We were early enough to get a table easily. Within 15mins, the place was packed. We received good service from the wait staff which I wasn't expecting due to the other reviewers' experience before. We ordered the signature 8 flavour pork, the topokki, kimchi pancake and the beef bulgogi. We were fortunate that it was cool weather today and it made dining there bearable. The ventilation is basically non existent and yes, we walked out smelling like a wok. We didn't find the 8 flavour pork particularly outstanding. We couldn't really differentiate between some of the flavours. The pork may not have been seasoned long enough I suppose. The kimchi pancake was great, my kids devoured it with great relish as did I. The beef bulgogi was tasty, each slice of beef was as tender as the cabbage it was cooked with. The topokki was too sweet for my liking and not as spicy as I thought. I also ordered a sweet plum wine which I really like. Overall, we enjoyed our meal here. I wouldn't come here on a hot day but during winter, this would an awesome place to eat in.

Great service nice and clean and comfortable set up we got a beef set menu came out very fast we also got a chicken hot pot it was nice and very hot and fresh but took a long time to come out other than that this is a top place with great staff and a very nice maneger drop in here for a great feed!

Went and try the porkbellys, those were great, really nice meat. Price is okay bit high but reasonable. Second time i went try the bibimbap, its small proportion and didnt taste really nice. Service was nice and the place is nice.

Always a pleasure to dine here. Very generous, great food, helpful staff. Only negative is it gets quite hot in the room so try to go on a cooler day.

Absolutely beautiful Korean food, my friend and I have been searching for a really good Korean place, and we found it! Will absolutely be back here again

Been to Palsaik Namoo a few times. Every time we come here, we are never disappointed. The value for money is fantastic and the quality of the produce is always great. We use this place to introduce people to Korean BBQ and everyone has been impressed by it so far. :)
Bk
Went with a group of friends the individual dishes were surprisingly good compared to other korean restaurants in Perth. There was a lot of hype about the pork with many flavours but it was a little disappointing, flavours were a little too mild it was hard to differentiate between some of them. It is quite busy and we had to wait on the waitinf list to get a table but the line moved quite quickly.

I have never been disappointed by the food in Palsaik Namoo. Yes, their service may not be the best: unfriendly staff, long wait time, not allowing to sit upstairs despite crowded sitting area, etc. But the food, man, I have to admit that they are delicious and good value for money!
Palsaik Namoo offer both individual set (usually I order for lunch) and sharing set (for dinner/larger group). For individual meal, my favorite would be the Pork Bibimbap (priced at $14.50) comes in quite a big portion in a hot bowl and generous portion of the meat too. I love the boiled egg in the middle adding both texture and flavour to the mixed rice. The pork bulgogi hot stone plate at $17 is huge (you can clearly share it among 2 males, or 3 females). The pork is soft and rich in flavour. Although I think it is too spicy – so depending on how much spiciness can you handle.

For sharing, my first recommendation would definitely be their trademark Palsaik Set of 8 colourful flavors of pork: wine, original, ginseng, garlic, herb, curry, miso, and red pepper paste pork belly, price at $59.80. I personally love pork belly and I love Palsaik pork belly particularly its garlic, herb and curry pork belly. Another would be the beef combo (depending on how many people you are eating with) which you would not have paid more than $20 per person for quite a large portion of meat.

For sides/appetizer, I recommend the bossam (pork belly) at $9.50 and their kimchi-pajeon (kimchi pancake) at $14.50. Both are good company to the already great meal. More rice please!
Lin
Definitely my most favourite place to have Korean bbq. The crisprawn (just deep fried whole prawn) is great - only wish there was more dipping sauce given. I've had the 8 piece pork belly set and the beef combo A for two and both were super delicious. Side dishes are great as well. One of the best places I've been!
More Than Nourishment
We used to love coming here for their set menu where you could choose from a main dish including rice, dumplings and salad. We came today and they have taken it off the menu. What a disappointment! It was what made it stand out from other Korean places. Their pork bulgogi was good but slightly different flavouring to what it used to be. The Kim chi was still delicious. Their Kim chi pancake however was disappointing, too soft that it fell apart when you picked it up and it didn't look completely cooked in the middle. It seems like they have changed chefs.. Either that or they were having an off day as it wasn't as good as it used to be.

This place is by far the BEST korean barbecue restaurant in Perth. If you have a KBBQ craving, this is the place to go. There are a variety of dishes to choose from including seafood pancake (a korean favourite), seafood stew, pork belly, beef and bulgogi. Their banchan (side dishes) includes the traditional favourites: mung bean sprouts in sesame oil, sweet and sour pickled sliced daikon (radish), and housemade kimchi. The marinated meats are high quality and packed full of flavour. If you’re a pork lover, I would recommend trying the 8 flavours of pork belly. Personally, my favourite dish is the wagyu beef brisket (*drools*). I have never been disappointed here and always leave uncomfortably full and completely satisfied. Unfortunately Palsaik Namoo don’t take reservations, so if you don’t go early, you may have to wait. But the wait is soooo worth it.

This place used to be my favourite.
My work friends & I would go for lunch & order the combo.
But now they have changed the menu, got rid of vegetable dumplings & soy chicken.
Sadly they also forgot 2 of our dishes when we went last time. This has never happened before.
Definitely one of my favorite Korean BBQ restaurant in Perth! Just a warm reminder: try to get there early so to put your name on the waiting list. The place is spacey though for large amount of people but then it gets crowded very fast. So, try not to go there during peak hour. Everytime i go there is about 6 o’clock, so probably just wait 10-15mins only. But this one is definitely worth the wait. I ordered the same food whenever I go there. Simply cannot stop myself from loving it: (i) Marinated slice cube roll; (ii) Palsaik set: 8 colorful flavors of pork

3 for dinner. Having a R&D discussion over smoky BBQ meats and hot korean spices. My collegue from Korea brought us to this fire & pork belly restaurant.
Dare we say more:
Korean BBQ pork belly. Agrarian woody decor. Smoky & meaty aromas.

I've got a friend who frowns upon KOREAN BBQ. In his opinion, he reckons that if I am paying for my meal, why should I even be cooking it?!

Well, don't let ppl's silly opinion draw you away from what you love. And I love KOREAN BBQ! This is one of my favourite KOREAN BBQ in Perth.

Best Korean bbq ever. Their pork belly is just so good though I wish that the bulgogi was something we could bbq ourselves yet it was still so good. There was a long line when we got there but it was just worth the wait.

After the raw meat and marinade is dumped over the gas stove, about 5 minutes later the beef is cooked. Take a piece and dunk it in the marinade, the yummy seaweed salt, and this other amazing sauce and I was enjoying this amazing taste sensation! Wow, what flavour! I also ordered an entree of marinated pork belly, bossam, which was tasty but carried a much more mellow flavour. That chilli infused dressing in the salad contained a major chilli kick and was quite interesting but had me downing down lots of water!
Shaun
The fried dumplings are tasty and encase a vegetable filling. The beef bulgogi is tender and delicious, the marinade and juices can be soaked up by the steamed rice. Being a rich dish, the rice, salad, kimchi, soup and refreshing pickled bean sprouts help to take the edge off and add additional flavours, like the slight spicy chilli hit from the kimchi which is excellent. The price is ridiculously cheap for the generous serving and while I polished it off, it was more to not waste food. I was totally stuffed but I was satisfied with my meal and the experience. The venue is lovely and you can people watch while you eat.

Great Korean BBQ place in Perth. Love their 8 colours (of pork) and their beef set is also good. The kimchi pancake is really good, and the place also served the best kimchi. Too bad they don't sell their kimchi for takeaway 😏 Service can either be good or bad. Most of the time, staff are quite attentive and help you cook the food but one time I came there and they ran out of rice. Had to wait around 49 minutes for our rice to be served. By the time the rice is out, the other dishes are almost gone. But other than that, never had other problem.

Mine and my partners favorite Korean bbq. It is delicious ! We can sit and eat there all day. It gets really busy really fast so try go early to put ur name on the waiting list. But defiantly worth the wait. All the meat is so deliciously Marinated 👌

Best Korean BBQ place in perth! Such a great variety of meat and vegetables. Including a steamboat. Great place to go eat with guests, family and friends with a Welcoming atmosphere

This is one of our favourite Korean restaurant. We had the Palsaik set (marinated pork belly in different flavours) and Ojiengo Bokkeum (the spicy squid). The pork belly was delicious, we loved it. The squid was good too. We have been here twice and we will come back again to try other dishes.

Very price worthy Korean BBQ ! Love the atmosphere and the food here. Palsaik is good to share with two to three people. Bossam is so good too! Will definitely come back for this again!

If u come in peak hour, expect a queue.. Place is spacey though can fill alot of people but it gets crowded fast... Love love the soup and must try the palsaik set which has 8 different flavours of the pork belly 😍

Great Korean resto, definitely one of my favs. Ordered the beef rib soup and the I was firstly really impressed by the generous portion, then the amazing taste. Would go back to try the BBQ soon!

These guys are starting to slip. I visited again this week and arrived first from a group of 6 (we knew about the first come first serve system) and we were greeted with "sorry I don't have a table for 2". The place was about 90% full, but no one was waiting... Hrmmm... We had to negotiate to get a free table for 6, which involved the promise of buying beers. 15min later and a table full of customers and still no service beyond dropping off cutlery, crockery and water.

The silver lining is the food is still ok.
Randyljw1991
Friendly staff, one of most value for money Korean food places you can find in Perth CBD. Nice cozy environment as well! Packed even on weekdays so you have to get there early if possible.
Rebecca Dunn
I can hardly put into words how great this place is. The food is absolutely delicious! The decor feels very Korean and the staff are just absolutely lovely. My boyfriend and I are regulars now! Their kimchi is fantastic and I highly recommend getting the Beef Bulgogi. Some dishes may be a bit too spicy by western standards so be wary if you can't take any heat! All in all though I'm so satisfied every time I've visited and you'll never be waiting too long for a table. Keep up the amazing work Palsaik Namoo 😊 p.s you can get Soju here too! Try it with some beer and you're bound to have a good time haha!

If your looking for a korean bbq it's definitely a place to be. Reasonable price, friendly staffs. Its just one of my favorite. I cant even count how many times ive been here
😊😊😊

Been here twice. First time ordered the 7 (?) types of pork dish and the other time we were in a big group who ordered literally everything else but that dish, I've tried a bit of everything. Suffice to say the pork dish is probably their strong point. I remember being extremely sweaty due to their open doors, but this was summertime. Service time was pretty slow and not the friendliest. The decor is very nice I thought though
Tegan Tiu Taudigani
The 8 types of pork set menu at $59.95 did not disappoint, especially being a pork lover, though the pictures in the menu are a little deceiving as it looks small, however we realised we got more than we bargained for when everything came out, and is plenty for 2 people. Along with the 8 kinds of pork: Original, Wine, Ginseng, Garlic, Herb, Curry, Miso, and Hot, the meal comes with rice, vegetables, condiments, and a seafood steamboat. Definitely worth a go if you love Korean BBQ and pork. Don't forget to put your gear in the seat, it will keep your coat etc smelling smoke free!
Regular Diner
I had been referred to this restaurant by "she who must be obeyed" who had eaten there with some friends. It is probably better to book in advance on the weekend but as we were visiting on Thursday it was no problem to walk in. This is not a venue for vegetarians. There is meat, meat and more meat with Korean barbeques on each table. We ordered the pork barbeque which consisted of 8 slices of pork belly (much too much for 2 - but we finished it) and a seafood soup which was very spicy. The whole system operates very efficiently with service of food although I cannot believe the number of gas canisters they must go through given there are two appliances on each table. The prices was incredibly reasonable, $59.50 for a set for two, by *Perth standards. Those who do not like spicy food could be challenged.
Hippo309
The 8 flavors pork was good as other reviews said. But also true what they said, the service sucks, especially the guy at the front. Not sure if it's worth the queue.
Maree
Poor service. Bad attitude. Rude staff. We have been waiting for a long time there were tables available, but the manager didn't allow us to take any of them, because he was waiting for some 6 people group to come, but we only have 5 people. When we went to argue with him, his attitude was bad, gives you the feeling that we were begging for food and he doesn't care to take the business. He said we were only 5 people and he's waiting for people of 6 to come, and we should only take a smaller table which will be available 10 minutes later. The fact is we were there for at least 20 minutes, and he didn't say a thing. I then asked, are you kidding? He said no. We have to wait outside and watch at an empty table where no one can take it. There were groups of 4 or 5 people behind us waiting long time as well.

This is the most ridiculous service I have ever experienced. If you want to have such a bad experience, feel free to go to Palsaik Namoo.
Eva Zhang
We went to the restaurant, and ask for table for two, the waiter was so rude asked us to wait and we wait for a very long time, and the food also took long time to serve, the male waiters all have bad bad attitude. They really need to work on that service attitude.
Wingo Wong
Poor service, stuff showed up a bad attitude, waiting time too long and food quality not as good as others Korean bbq. Will never go back to there again.
Great food, not so great service.. Went about two weeks ago for a family lunch on Friday.
Got to the restaurant at around 11:30 and there was only one family dining at the time.
We were greeted by a young male server, I asked if we could sit at the booth as no one had taken them up yet, and was very rudely told that they were for seating 6-7, however the family who were dining at the time only consisted of four people and were happily sitting at a booth. Not impressed.

When we did order, we were served by a lovely younger lady who was very friendly and much nicer in comparison.
I've only had Korean BBQ twice before this time, and that was a long long time ago, so when we did receive our food, we were very confused as to what to do with all the things we had been given. I think it would be handy to have some sort of help from the server as to what goes where, how long things should be cooked for, what to do with the multitude of condiments etc. as when I did ask what to do with the condiments, the girl just stared at me.

We ordered the marinated pork belly, which was well worth the money. It comes with a multitude of condiments and a large soup. Very filling and very tasty.
We also ordered the chicken bulgogi which was extremely yummy as well.
As a side we ordered the edamame, simple and tasty.

Our table was absolutely covered in bowls and plates and there was very little space to actually eat comfortably, so I would have been happier with a slightly more spacious booth table.

At one point during our meal, the burner for the soup switched off and needed a new can of gas. Unfortunately we were attended to by the rather rude male server from earlier, who acted very inconvenienced and grumpy.

I really enjoyed the kimchi, which normally is something I don't like very much, but it was delicious and I'm hoping that if I go back, I may be able to get some as takeaway.

Overall, the food was great but was ruined by the service which has room for improvement.
Monica Choo
We had the 7 types of pork belly which came with soup and veggies. For $59, it was well worth it. Pork belly was delicious. Tender, juicy and full of flavour. Nice decor. Service was great. They helped to cook your food too. We'll definitely be back.
Insita
Love it. Just read all the reviews about this place and I really don't understand the bad comments. We go there on a regular basis, meaning at least twice a month, and NEVER left dissapointed. Both working in fine dining restaurants we just simply LOVE and ENJOY the food. Service is fast and you are full when you leave. Of course it's an asien place with asien servers and asien work attitude. So if you expect Michelin star service you need to go in a European/Australien restaurant. This people work very authentic to their background and way harder than any other server in any restaurant in Perth. Just go and enjoy the flavours of Korea.

Yummy and delicious! Went here after a disappointing meal at another place, value for money and authentic Korean experience. Had the 9 style pork belly and soup which was all amazing

Delish, healthy fun dinner. Amazing value for money, delish, great staff and gorgeous dinning rooms. Thanks for a perfect intro to Korean bbq'ness.

Nice food crapp tables. Nice food service could be better. The table we had was sticky. Something wrong with the surface. Disappointed and detracted from our meal.

Slipping. This restaurant is newish to perth. Really great food. Service... better than average shite perth. Arms stick to the tables. Teally anoying. Suspect they skimpted out on the tables and paint and cannot fix it. Great cold jpn beer on tap.

Making a Booking. Can anyone tell me how to make a booking for this place as they don’t seam to answer their phone and don’t have an email address is it just one of those places that you don’t need to book you just rock up. Any tips would be appreciated.

This place does not pick up their phone. I have called a number of times day and night during apparent opening hours but I find it bizarre an open business never picks up their phone. Does anyone know if this place is still open or if they are just taking a break?

Good quality, decent pricing for lunch. Visited this place for lunch on 2nd Jan.
I ordered chicken Bibimbap (spicy) and colleague ordered the Beef Bulgogi.
Both dishes were delicious and served with fresh ingredients.
Kimchi was topped up complimentary.
Service was ok due to the lunch hour.
Overall $25.50 for lunch, not bad!
Will return again.

V BAD service. Been here quite often but the last one didn't please me at all. Had the spicy rice cake set and with this set you can order the 'adding' stuff, so we ordered the rice set which is supposed to come after you've finished everything and you fry the steam rice on the pan that you've used for the rice cake. Half way eating we felt really full and asked to cancel the rice and I assumed the guy did cancel it as he didn't come back to us. After a while, the rice came and we complained. The girl took the order insisted that she told us that we can't cancel what we order when in fact she only told us that it's really spicy not all customers like it. When we asked for the manager, she came and her first sentence was 'We can't cancel this rice' rudely. She went on saying this is the rule in restaurants EVERYWHERE in Australia. Well this is the first restaurant we came across that has such rule where you can't cancel the food when it hasn't actually been served!! Feeling unfair we went on arguing and she ended up cancelling it and said this impolitely 'I will do it this time but next time we can't'. Don't worry there WON'T be next time!!!

Interactive dining!. Wow, my hubby and I have now been here twice and it just gets better. At first it looks small from the outside but it has three seating levels! Staff are so friendly and they all greet you in Korean when walking in. Meals are delicious and a great price (compared to another one opposite the road). Will definitely be back :-)

Very Poor Service & Communication. Having had experienced korean food before the condiments were meager and the variety was minimal too. All you chicken lovers will certainly have to give this place a miss as there are no traces of poultry in their menu at all. Almost got scorched by a sizzling plate of spicy squid which the boiling hot gravy oozed and dripped onto the bench and floor. The unsurprised wait staff took serviettes and covered the drip. That was it. Lastly if you have zero tolerance to wait staff who do not understand English, save yourself the misery.

Not the best ... but good value for money. He: Looking for a quick lunch? Look no further. Palsaik Namoo is reasonably priced at about $14 per head. Portion is generous. Most of the dishes are pretty good although I would not rate it being the best. A yes for me!

She: A great joint to grab a fast meal. The salad that came with the set meal was really nice. Gyozas both deep-fried and steamed were equally good. Pa jun wasn't bad too although the one at Dae Jang Geum is better. Like the kimchee soup here too. Only thing that I do not like is how they charged the Korean Bon Bon drink. The Bon Bon cost $2.50 each can. When we ordered a jug, the waitstaff poured 4 cans into the jug .... and we were charged $11.50! Huh?!? An extra $1.50 to pour? Oh wait ... no ice too? One of the best Korean BBQ in Perth!. 8 of us arrived around 6.30pm on a Fri nite. We were seated on the 2nd level of the restaurant quite promtly. We ordered the beef set for eight with drinks and an extra spicy bbq pork marinate and it was only approx $22 per pax! Excellent prices but the service was not that good. Kinda expected as they are super busy and the waitresses avoided attending to our table a few times. We have to asked for our drinks we have ordered as she have forgotten to serve to us. Overall experience was good and we were greeted with a friendly smile when we paid by the owner. The marinated beef, Kimchi and the seafood pancake was the best dishes of the nite. Tasty and authentic taste. Will definitely be back again!

7 of us had the set menu. Very generous serving. Works out to be $25 per head. Good value. Ambience ok. Come early otherwise have to wait in line to get a table. We were there on saturday dinner. Dont know about other nights though.

We had 5 people share the Palsaik with the addition of rice per person and a pajeon. We left pretty satisfied!! We also really like beef combo A.
--
Previous review:Palsaik! Palsaik! Palsaik!. Initially thought the palsaik set was expensive for approx $60.. but then it's put in front of you... it's actually fantastic value for the amount of food and the quality of flavour that you get! 8 slices of flavoured pork, 4 side dishes, vegetables, salad, a large seafood soup, rice. They also help with preparing the meal on the hot plate.

The best kimchi in Perth.. and probably the same goes for all their banchan!!

We also had such a friendly waiter - really nice to see a smile!!!

Love it!. The four of us dined here and we had the pork belly set and the beef set which was amazing! We also had the spicy seafood soup. The sets both came with generous servings of salads, sauces and side dishes. The staff were friendly and knew what they were doing. We will be back!

Best Korean BBQ. We spent 5 night in Perth recently on holiday from Queensland. We first had Korean BBQ in Toronto and then many times in Brisbane. When we accidentally came across this restaurant we decided it was worth the walk back that night in the cold & damp to see if they were any good.
Well we ate there 4 nights out of the 5 nights we were in Perth! We would have eaten there the 5th night but it was too cold & wet to walk the 7 or so blocks the 5th night.
We tried nearly every main meal suitable for 2 including the Pork 8 flavour one (forgotten its name). All meals were absolutely delicious, great value and the freshest produce we could ever hope for. Their staff were also so friendly and helpful and the restaurant had a lovely cosy feel to it.
We travel the world an this has been the first time we have only eaten at the same restaurant more than twice but seriously it was such wonderful food in a fantastic restaurant, we could not resist. We had so many restaurants within a block but we walked every night to Namoo.
A word of warning, nearly every night they are fully booked by 6pm but it is worth putting your name on the board and wait on the bench at the front door with all the other late comers OR if you don't like to wait get there at 5.30 when they open. Every night there were people waiting for the doors to open.
Thanks everyone at Namoo for a wonderful food experience. See you next time we are in Perth.
Dale & Sue

Must try the pork tasting plate!

This has to be one of my all time favourite korean restaurants in perth! The portion of the food, considering the price was very generous! The food was delicious. The service was great too! The food came out really fast and the servers were very helpful and attentive! The interiror of the restaurant was very modern and nicely decorated. So overall the food, price, service and the design of the restaurant was very good! Definately recommend!

Always leave feeling so full I can hardly walk! Love their soups which come in the sets especially.

LOVE love love this place.
Service is exceptional, and the atmosphere feels very authentic korea.
The upper level of the restaurant is where the socialising happens. Downstairs is a more intimate experience.
Love the fact that you can place your personal belongings within your seat, and the fact that they offer 8 different flavours of pork along with steamboat for such a reasonable price.
The staff are very friendly and helpful which tops off the experience.
Possibly one of my favourite korean places to go to from now on.

8 Way = Heaven. This was such an amazing dinner. We had the 8 different pork bellies and it was very tasty! The staff were great and very helpful. My friend and I were new to the Korean BBQ and they were more than willing to come in and help us! Great location, Great food, and Great service. Definitely go and enjoy the amazing food and atmosphere!

This place is always busy and now I know why.
their pork belly 8 ways is a great seller and the fact that their meats weren't all over-sweetened (as they usually are) was a winner. the staff can be a little hard to get a hold of, but once you get their attention they are only happy to oblige you.
oh. and i LOVE that you put your belongings in the seats so they don't absorb the permeating bbq smell :)

Service was prompt even tho it was quit crowded for a Wednesday nite

We ordered the beef and pork set for 6 of us. It was more than enough!

Preferred the 8 styled marinated pork, it was the best!

Definitely going back!!

Poor service. New korean bbq. service is quite poor - guess coz it's new, so the staff are not very attentive. still missing all the small dishes that should come with the meal - we only had 2. we had bbq bulgolgi, hot plate, bibimba and kimchi pancake. i really like the kimchi pancake - & probably only that dish for me...
Berrilicious
Terrible. Food 6/10
Service 0/10

The food came out in a such a bad order. I was nearly done with my meal before my friends' meal came out.

We asked to get more water twice and no one got back to us.

It was so disorganised and unpleasant. I will definitely not be going back there again.

Enjoyed. Absolutly enjoyed our dinner my boyfriend couldnt decide so order the pork as well as the beef for two amazing you have to get there early or else you could be waiting a while it does tend to get warm while cooking so dress light but food was amazing really enjoyed our date night

Top-notch!. First and foremost, to the ones who said it's the worst meal in the world and "woeful" service, your eyes must be blind or something is not right with you. Went there few hours ago with my buddy. It was CNY eve and two of us were spending ours without our family here. It was real sad but the services given by one of the waitresses, Lina, I can only say, managed to make up for the night. She is friendly, helpful, cheerful and always make sure we have everything taken care of. We ordered the Beef Combo for 4 person but we managed to finish 3/4 of everything. The food is superb! The seafood pancake is full of fresh ingredients. I am very picky in terms of eating, especially veggies. However, I finished 3 pcs of pancakes, with lotsa veggies in it without complaining. : ) The beef portion is quite big. For the price that we are paying, it's really worth every cent spent, prolly we got more than what we paid. 3 rounds of beef plus an extra kimchi hotpot and side dishes. There was a comment complaining about waiting to be served even though there were much more seats. In our case, the 1st waitress checked the seat and lead us to 1st floor. Lina, again, I must say she make us feel really comfortable dining in here. Before we left, the owner, in a very polite and cheerful manner, asked if everything is ok. Of course, what else can I say but put up my thumbs and thanked him for the hospitality! I just reached home and I can't wait to send this review in. For those of you into Korean food and on a budget, this place is worth a visit.

8 flavours of pork is awesome. Soooo much food in the value sets. The right flavours of pork were great, they also time it perfectly per flavour, so that stronger flavours would not overpower the more subtle ones. Hint: you can store your valuables and belongings in the seats, just remember them before you leave.

I went to this restaurant on a Friday for lunch after hearing such great reviews about it! With two other friends, I ordered the Palsaik set and an extra rice. We all ended up extremely full, the food was great and we couldn't even finish the everything. I was extremely pleased with their customer service, they really made us feel welcomed! I can't wait to go back for more, it has become by far my favourite restaurant in perth. They really deserve an A++++
Hardrockcafe
Nice food! But I'd go back to my regular Korean restaurant. It's the first restaurant where I got oil splatter all over my clothes and on the table. I think their tables are smaller and they don't have any suction fans, it can get hot and smelly!
Sgt. Salt
Ordered the bulgogi beef and the cold noodle soup. Both dishes, including the accompanying kimchi were over sweetened. The rice was clumped, over heated and quite dry.
This may be rated the best Korean in Perth but it's the worst I've had in the world.

Enjoyable Korean restaurant. We found Palsaik Namoo through a blog review. We tried the set for 2, with the 8 different marinates of pork belly bbq. The set came with side dishes, a vegetable stew soup with seafood. Overall a great experience.

The only mistake that I would caution readers to watch out is to note the phone number above. It doesn't seem to be the right number. We called during the opening hours and no one answered. We couldn't book so we went to the restaurant direct. I inquired with the owner and he mentioned the number wasn't correct and they don't do booking as well. Secondly, the address can be confusing. The front door entry of the restaurant is on Barrack Street, about midway between Hay St and Murray St. Don't go to Shop 1 of 580 Hay street.

Thanks namoo for such a wonderful wonderful dinner. It is indeed one of the best korean restaurant in Perth and is now number 1 on my list. The price is reasonable for the amount of meat we ordered and staff is really friendly and accomodating . This place definitely deserve an applause. Will definitely be back again

Worth a try. We went there for dinner last saturday, arrived at 6.30pm and there was already a line. We tried the 8 different flavoured pork belly (ginseng, garlic, herb, curry, miso paste, hot etc), kimchi pancake and kimchi soup. With the pork belly, we were given 1 slice per flavour, which makes it hard to share in a large group, but each of the flavour is pretty distinct, they were arranged from the least to the strongest flavour. The kimchi here is extremely good, it is not as sour, and we had ours topped-up a number of times.
The service was reasonable although in my opinion, they should hire more staffs. Overall, I left with a satisfied tummy!

Wow!. 7 fans of Korean BBQ braved the queue for Namoo on a Saturday night. A half hour wait became 45 mins, but the list was effective. Even when we tried not to over order... We totally over ordered. Palsaik set, beef combo A, beef bibimbap, mandu, kimchi pancake and seafood pancake.... We were stuffed by the end. The staff are good at organising the grills for the food ordered. There was a call when rice wasn't out yet and a mix up with pancakes that left us with 2 seafood and no kimchi. However, we couldn't fault the amazing meat, the amount of food - and the price! Just over $200 - including 2 jugs of beer. Can't wait to go back and have the bibimbap between 2! ^_^

Went there dinner with a group of friends which they give good review for this restaurant. I very like the difference taste of the pork belly (but it's abit overprice), while beef is just average. Service has to be improve, I know it is busy busy busy since they are open. I will come back again soon. Nice try!
p/s: for the previous reviewer, the secord floor is empty is because they try to serve every table as possible, otherwise more and more people will just waiting on the table with no service.

Best Korean Restaurant. Best korean restaurant. Specially marinated meat and very fresh. A different taste of korean bbq compared to the typical taste/marinates.
Rambo
Great Korean BBQ. Came with a group of 9, service was good and the food was delicious. Had a nice atmosphere and decor in this place, although it's very busy. The palsaik set (pork with different marinades was really good), so is the beef combo. We all really liked the kimchi, which is sweet and tasty.

Spontaneous Korean Dinnner Win. Decided to try this place out when the missus and I were craving Korean on Sunday night. Seated straight away and ordered the beef set for two with Kimchee pancake (thinking that the set wouldn't be enough). Food was to die for and the chilled out vibe on Sunday night made it a great dining experience.

The meal was affordable in the end ($64.50 with drinks) and I'm still suffering from food coma this morning!

I can imagine eating here during peak times would test my patience but would definitely eat here again when I next crave korean bbq - most likely next weekend.

Value for money. Last night 6 of us visited this restaurant after hearing rave reviews from couple of my asian friends about this new restaurant in town. Interior is simply great/unique. Haven't seen any other bbq joints as well presented. After bit of a wait we were given table upstairs. We ordered one palsaik set+one beef combo A and some drinks. My friends who has been warned me about ordering too much so we decided to start on these two sets. We were flabbergasted by the amount of food on the table. Never tasted or expected pork belly to taste so yummy. In the end six of us couldnt finish all the meat and soup. Value for money I tell you. I think it worked out to be about $18 per head with everyone bursting at seams. Very busy place indeed. All the waitress were running around none stop serving/cleaning etc for the whole two hours we were there. Side dish refill was awesome! Waitresses were nice enough to put up with our drunken requests for more beer and side dishes(free hehe). Darn side dishes taste so good especially the kimchi!! haha going back this weekend with my friends again definitely having palsaik set again and might try some other tasty looking dishes they have on menu.

Love the food, worth waiting for if you are a fan of BBQ pork belly in 8 different flavors.
The moment you enter, be prepared to put yourself in a waiting list. It's not uncommon these days to wait at restaurants serving good food.
The meal itself is good value, between my wife and I, the 8 flavour pork belly set fed us full. There are other selections, but the pork belly was what made the chain in Korea famous.
Expect meals to range in price from $9-$60.
If you are a fan of Korean dining and love to cook your food the way you like it, then this place is a must try.
BusyBee
Had Palsaik set. Selection is not too bad, but waitresses tend
to rush you throughout your meal.

It is not too good restaurant to wait longer on line. Just less than average but poor service.

Nice new addition. Was very excited to try this and we did last week on a weekday. We tried the seafood pancake, 8 flavours of pork and seafood kimchee stew.

Positives: the manager was attentive and so was one of the waitresses. They were very accommodating and gave us up to four extra plates of kimchee we loved it soooo much!!!

Negatives: not much - just one waitress was really sour to us (?) and ventilation was especially terrible. The high ceiling void was smoky all the time and even my car smelt like Namoo for the next three days.

I had better seafood pancake and stew but the 8 flavour pork dish was a lot of fun to eat - wine, ginseng, garlic and original were notable ones. The biggest standout was the kimchee - I really like their version (crunchy, sweet and not too acidic).

Love this place!. Amazing food, friendly staffs and great atmosphere!

This restaurant is fairly new, but is quickly becoming a favourite. I have been here twice, for lunch and dinner - our lunch was reasonably priced with a good amount of food! As for dinner, 8 of us ordered the 6-8 person combo C set plus a tteokbokki hotpot. We were all too full after our meal as the bbq and hotpot servings were very generous.

The only downside is that this place does not take any reservations and can be quite busy at times, even on weekdays.

Really??. I dont understand the hype... it's just average...

1. Even though the 2nd floor is almost empty, people were made to queue for more than 30mins!!

2. Palsaik is good but not really worth the money, it's just 1 pork belly each per flavour. Wanted to order the extra 4 flavours of Palsaik, they refused saying they don't sell it even though its on the menu.. what?? Cheaper to just get normal pork belly..

3. Beef tenderloin BBQ is not not tender at all..

4. The floors are dirty and sticky to walk on..

I felt like I went to Korea with the restaurants decor! Good food, good range of meat choices, good environment. Their popular 8 flavoured bbq pork set for 2 is worth a try though it is still too much meat for 2 people! Don't stuff yourself with this set and save your tummy for their other meat and dishes! Warning: there is abit of a waiting time so make time for the wait!
Jen Lee
I love this restaurant ! I could taste various range of flavour of pork belly. Proper quantity and reasonable price compared to the other bbq restaurants. The atmosphere and environment was nice and comfortable. I would like to visit here again.

I've just went to the Melbourne's branch of Palsaik restaurants and was thrilled with its 8 flavoured pork bellys. Then I came back to Perth and saw that there's a new restaurant in CBD,which was a Palsaik restaurant!
Highyly recommended Korean BBQ restaurant in the universe!
But have to wait for tables during busy shifts.

Delish Korean. Ate here Thursday night and it is lovely. The venue is very modern and clean and it was already busy even though it's only been open for a few days.

The menu is extensive and they offer lots of traditional Korean options which can be cooked on the table.

Strangely they don't do hot drinks but offer a range of beers and soft drinks. Side condiments come out and are delish. Home made kim chee, radish and picked sprouts.

Order the steamed dumplings, fried prawns, kim chee soup and a large mixed sprouts and beef table cook top dish (unsure of specific name). Was really good but spicy. Came with a steamed rice (and we ordered an additional). I've added a few pictures which unfortunately my sister and I had already attacked before I took the photo so there are actually more prawns on the plate than what is shown there.

We looked at what other patrons had ordered and their meals looked equally good, if not better. We will definitely be back and will choose more meat options. The portions are substantial so go hungry. Fantastic Korean!

My favourite pork flavours were miso paste, herb, and wine. The most memorable pork flavour was the curry paste, which was interesting and basically that same exact curry flavour that we all know on pork belly. I did not have the hot pork belly but apparently that one was really spicy. Eventually, it became hard to distinguish the flavours from each other, especially after having all the flavours of the pork belly one after another.
The Pavarotti
Namoo is probably the nicest restaurant in Perth where you can get a Pavarotti lunch. For less than $10 it was a great feed and we're hoping that the special is around for a while as we'd like to be back again soon.

...the 8 flavour pork belly ($59.80). How I missed ordering the restaurant's signature dish the first time round I have no idea. I can see why it's the signature dish though, it was pretty darn good! At a decent price, we got 8 lovely flavours: wine, original, ginseng, garlic, herb, curry, miso paste and finally red pepper paste (hot). The waiter advised use to barbeque and eat in that particular order and the wooden tray even had everything labelled appropriately...

With the weather turning and cooling down ever so slightly, I felt like something hot and spicy. So I decided to try out one of the newer restaurants Perth’s CBD. Palsaik Namboo has been open for a while but I haven’t had a chance to visit yet. I was really hungry and I wanted something substantial and full of flavour as well as authentic. Palsaik Namboo nailed it in every way. The restaurant was packed when I first arrived but after a few minutes wait they opened an upstairs area which was had lots of space and nice decor. I ordered Edamame from their Small Bites menu and since it was quite a humid day, the fresh soy beans were a perfect to introduction to the meal. For the main course, I ordered Stir Fry Squid which came out hot and sizzling quickly. It was hot, spicy and perfectly (The squid wasn’t chewy, if you were wondering) cooked. It also looked good.

For all pork lovers, rejoice! You are in for a treat for the 8 flavour pork belly. After hearing about Palsaik Namoo Korean BBQ from Urbanspoon and as a recommendation from my friend who has tried the 8 flavour pork belly in Melbourne, we decided to head to there for dinner with my family friends. The restaurant was full when we arrived. Apparently if the restaurant is full, you have to write your name down on the waiting list in front of the counter and take a number and wait for it to be called. As my friend’s mum was there early, not long after we arrived we managed to get ourselves a table for 7. You might have queue for a while to eat at Palsaik Namoo. We had to brace walking on slippery floors to our tables as the floor was quite oily which was only the down part. Otherwise, the restaurant looks like one of those typical Korean BBQ restaurants which you can find in Korea. After having a look at the menu, it was not hard to decide what to order. So we ordered the 8 flavour pork be

Perth’s newest Korean restaurant, Namoo, may only be five days old, but I’m already predicting a long and delicious friendship in our future. My husband J spotted Namoo this week during his commute home, and suggested we drop in for dinner on Friday night. We were greeted by the smoky aroma of sizzling meat and the sharp, sinus clearing tang of chili. Forget the typical melamine ware and sticky tables you may have encountered at other Korean barbecue restaurants, as you won’t find them at Namoo. We’re shown to our table, which is pleasingly wide with a charcoal and butane powered grill. The comfortable stools are ‘industrial chic’, made from re-purposed steel drums. Unglazed black ceramic dishes are a nice touch, particularly for those of us at dinner with a soft spot for flatware. J grins when I mention that the extra-wide table space is perfect for fitting all the food we plan to order – plus the ubiquitous banchan or side dishes, which come co

.. 8 heavenly courses of marinated pork belly between two. Need I say more? For $60 besides pork belly 8 tasty ways, we had a massive pot of soup with seafood and vegetables and a bunch of side dishes (kimchi, bean sprouts and pickled radish)

But putting all my unhappiness aside with the service and the stew, I was actually very delighted with the pork. The flavors were very well thought of and it simply worked
