Mulled wine in winter in this upstairs hideaway is well worth it. Food is decent, staff are great. Get involved people!
The food was mostly amazing, the portions were just very small for the price unfortunately, and we gave it a go, but pumpkin puree doesn’t go with scallops.
Great cocktails, staff were good, no complaints there, music a little too loud for a quiet night.
Canadian ski lodge meets sunny ole Perth. I can’t stop coming back to this venue with their ever changing menu and delicious cocktails. Also in the entertainment book which is always great for a bargain. Locals should definitely give this place a try for a casual bite any day of the week.
Hard to fault the food and service at The Cabin. Service staff are very friendly and accommodating; tapas style food is easy to eat. Also great balcony for a bit of outside fun. It’s the place to go in Mt Hawthorn.
Came here with friends for Sunday tapas and wine. Thankfully we booked a table because the place was very busy, especially towards the end of the day. We shared a variety of dishes, and thoroughly enjoyed the pork belly and the duck liver parfait dishes. Recommend.
I was so impressed with the food at Cabin today. It was thoughtful, in season and beautifully presented. The beetroot salad was a riot of colour with dabs of zesty condiments and polenta bites were very crisp and filling with just the right amount of cheesy ness. I barely restrained myself from ordering the New York style potatoes as they came out the kitchen as they looked amazing. The menu is vegetarian friendly too which is so hard to find in Perth. We will definitely be back. Compliments to the chef.
We came here for dinner and I really enjoyed it. The food was nice, but the cocktails were even nicer. Loved all 3 that I had. The setting was good, and sitting on the balcony area was nice.
Loved our dinner here last night. Service, food and wine were all excellent. We started with a glass of wine each, and then the food started to arrive. We ordered bread, the scallops, fish tacos, Cajun chicken and kangaroo loin, then had a dessert each. For me the scallops and fish tacos were the standouts, and W liked the chicken best. All the dishes were complex and well thought out, with balanced flavours and textures. The wine list was extensive with lots of wines available by the glass. We had the snickers in a glass and the banana mousse for dessert. The snickers was very very sweet but we were given due warning of that! The banana dish was delicious and paired well with dessert wine.
Our waitress for the evening (didn't catch her name but she had a slight accent) was very helpful and friendly.
We're keen to go back soon!
Nothing really to fault here, but conversely nothing really stood out as being a cut above. We had a special which was fried chicken and brussel sprouts. Both were only OK. With such intense competition in the area I had hoped to be astounded.
I've been to The Cabin a number of times & it's always excellent. The staff are friendly & helpful (especially for food or wine decisions!) but not intrusive. I really like the feel of the place - perfect for date night :) and always end up staying for hours.
