The food and service here are excellent, its a little pricey but the serving sizes are decent and the quality is very good !

if you are Sashimi(raw fish) lover you must try here, not only you can eat salmon or tuna. They were fresh and tasty. Best quality I ever had in Perth.
Not recommend for big family or group due to the size of shop but take away is the idea and enjoy out side the shop. There is a big garden in front so you can relax and enjoy Ichirin's lunch box or any meal.

We went for lunch and the food and service was exceptional. The dinner menu is more extensive so will definitely coming back for dinner sometime. Prices are very reasonable and the quality and presentation of food is second to none. One of my new favourite eating spots!
First time there and I loved and enjoyed my vegetarian bento and I absolutely loved the chocolate cake which was moist and loved the strawberry sauce that came with it. I loved the Matcha ice cream too and you can taste the difference because the owner makes it himself. I saw what other people sitting on other tables ordered and food looked amazing and I can't wait to return with my family and try everything. This is fine dining quality but at affordable price!
We booked for a special birthday meal - perfect from start to finish! Food was fresh and delicious, service was so friendly and attentive! The lovely chef took time out from the kitchen to come out and say hello, make sure we were comfortable and also to say thank you/goodbye - loved the personal touches. We will definitely be back (and will bring friends). Be sure to give the Omakase a try for dinner. Thank you for a great evening ^___^

Excellent, fresh sashimi and seafood! We tried the assorted sashimi and everything on there was wonderful. We also had the two different hiramasa dishes, teriyaki and the stew - would highly recommend both.

We came for lunch on a Saturday. I enjoyed the bento box. Whilst it's pricier than what you expect for suburban Japanese, it's well above what you normally get. Service is friendly. As it's a small place, book ahead to ensure seat.

Omakase is great always fresh ideas and taste wise it does leave you wanting more but after 6 dishes and a few side dishes you leave feeling better about yourself haha. Remember people changing a menu monthly is a gift for in Perth,especially trying to source high quality fresh produce for a reasonable price. Hit me up if you can do it cheaper and better :)

When it comes to taking my mum out for dinner, she’s a big fan of Japanese omakase meals, so Jeremy and I like to look for new ones we haven’t tried before in the past. For this year, it was trying out a little suburban hole in the wall called Ichirin, which we’d seen some pretty stellar online reviews and pictures of.
A small Japanese restaurant tucked within the suburb of Leeming.. this unassuming restaurant could be one of our new favorite Japanese go-to. Delicious, well-presented dishes as well as friendly service. I would love to come return to try their omakase menu.
Curiously located in the outer suburbs, it is worth every moment of the journey to get there. The guests at the sushi bar gaze over the open plan kitchen where the staff of three work away non-stop not only cooking and preparing beautiful dishes but transforming their creations into works of art. Despite their intense attention to their work there was still energy left for a warm greeting and
welcome. There followed soft, melt-in-your mouth salmon sashimi, vegetables and prawns clothes in feather-light tempura batter, perfectly prepared gyoza - and finished with a heavenly creme brûlée. We will be back...thank goodness for GPS!
If you haven’t found a good Japanese restaurant here in Perth? You probably haven’t tried Ichirin. A hidden gem located in LeeMing, this chef is serving 6 course omakase with different menu every month at only $60 a head, which means u only pay $10 each dish served, what a bargain! The foods are nicely presented, really flavoursome with the chef’s magic touch! Only complain was the duck dish I had which to me a little bit salty, duck was cooked to perfection though. The beef stew, the beef literally just melt in your mouth! Soooo good!!! Overall experience was very good and pleasant. Chef and staff are very friendly! Will definitely visit again!
Had the octopus and bento box here. I found that the flavours were authentically Japanese: subtle and delicate. The octopus itself was nice and chewy. The bento box was solid and the sushi was quite fresh. Nothing in particular stood out, however for the price paid and the quality of food it definitely is among one of the better Japanese places in Perth.
I would not mind trying the omakase one day based on this visit. It's quality food here. I have liked to see a bit more innovation in some areas, but otherwise I could not complain.
I have been here more times than I can remember, but it's definitely more than 50. Never ONCE have I ever been disappointed. Food is fantastic, service is fantastic, the cozy little venue is fantastic.
Of course, the food is expensive, but hey, you get what you pay for and this place gets 5/5 in a heartbeat.
Needless to say... I will be back here to eat.

Ichirin gets 5 stars from me, Bento Box was great; Salmon Nigiri and Nigiri(White flesh fish) delicious, fresh, superb produce and presentation, plus 100% fresh, salad delicious and even served with delicious beef tataki. Chicken Karaage world class too.
Gyoza 5Star too, Octopus Karaage delicious.
Great Service by I assume the owner(s) wife as Maître de(waitress) and Boss as chef.
Whole place is 100% world class yet v reasonably priced.

One of my favourite Japanese restaurants in Perth. Great food quality and reasonably priced. Food is consistently good, tried both their lunch, dinner and omakase menu. Bento box has great value, get a bit of everything and portion is fairly big too. Highly recommended!

Enjoyed the omakase tonight including 5 courses and a dessert.
The service was lovely, food delicious and varied. I really enjoyed the menu of Duck, Salon, Squid, Beef, Eel and a Peach Compote.
As it is a small restaurant it was a bit noisy and hard to hear over fellow diners.
I have also had take away from this restaurant on more than one occasion. Favourites include chicken Karaage, ichirin bento box and agedashi tofu. Take away prices are much more reasonable.
Tucked away Japanese restaurant. The restaurant is quite small so make sure to book in advance. However their food is pretty good from their katsu, beef tataki and it’s sushi are quite nice. Such a neighbourhood gem!
We went there for dinner last night, we ate a full range of food including margaret river beef fillet tataki, hiramasa nimono (king fish), octupus kara rage, sushi, prawn tempura, pork kyoza, miso soup etc.
It was all excellent, portion sizes were moderate but the food was high quality. The service was delightful, only a small place so must book ahead for a table. There is also counter / stool seating available.

Wow!!! This place was highly recommended by a friend and I can see why. It's situated in a unassuming local shopping arcade. Fit out is nice, minimalist. The entrees were exquisite. Salmon and kingfish were sooo fresh bathed in a tasty citrus touch of wasabi sauce, reminded us of our longed for Japan eats. Tuna tataki was lightly seared and fresh complimented by light sauce. The beef teriyaki was a nice piece of meat although the sauce was sweeter than I wanted. Dessert was lovely it was light fluffy and not too sweet. Definitely be back especially for the degustation.
We had a lovely dinner here, both food and service were fantastic. The aburi hiramasa, gyoza and teriyaki beef very good! I look forward to returning to this sweet little ex-chip shop to try a few more dishes.
A cosy Japanese restaurant in the suburb. I had tried the omekase menu. The night I went was a bit busy and food was served slower than expected. I recommend to order individual dishes rather than omekase menu.
Outstanding bento box, filled with fresh ingredients cooked well and plenty of them. There's nothing to complain about. I loved my Teriyaki Salmon, Agedashi Tofu, Tempura and Chicken Karaage. We're all so full afterwards. Unfortunately the place is rather small, so not a kids friendly place to go if you have to bring prams. Service was alright, nothing to boast about. Usual price $35 but reduced to $25 if you bring 2 more friends. For $25, it's definitely worth it.
It is not my first time here and I know that Ichirin serves pretty decent food for good value. Whether its a crunchy Karaage or Fresh Sashimi you crave for, Ichirin has it all. Do note though that if you are coming in for their Omakase Menu aka “Trust the Chef”, that you book at least 2 nights in advance. As we did not make it for the Omakase, dinner was going to be a simple Izakaya meal. To start was some skilfully plated sashimi before going to a favourite of mine, the Agedashi Tofu. Simply crisp on the outside and sitting in a bath of soy, radish and finely grated ginger. Lean and tasty.
Sensational. Had the degustation in a group of 6 and it was fantastic. There is a reason this place is packed every night. Good luck getting a table :)

One of my favourite things to do is to have double date nights with my boyfriend and my favourite foodie couple. We always have such a great night together; good food and even better company. To wrap up the busy year before the crazy hustle and bustle of Christmas, we decided to organise dinner with the awesome foursome at a little Japanese place that is nestled in Leeming. The place is quite small and would probably fit 20 peoples maximum. The boys normally leave Seoul Sister and I to order the food for the whole table (good idea) and so we ordered a variety of dishes to share. Everything was absolutely amazing and faultless. The cold dishes consisted of beef tataki (very thinly sliced and nice way to start the night), aburi (amazing torched flavour throughout) and carpaccio (deliciously fresh and the dressing was lovely and tangy but not too overpowering) – all dishes were lovely and fresh and made from high quality ingredients. Each dish was well-balanced in flavour and a delight to eat. I wanted more!
On a quiet corner in Leeming a cluster of small suburban restaurants. Ichirin (google maps kept thinking I was looking for Ed Sheeran) is a tiny rectangle of a room, there's a counter overlooking the kitchen and against the wall a row of small tables. Maybe room for 20 if no one breathes too deeply. . .
It's a sweet place, a woodblock print hangs from the wall - a blue fin and fugu fish overlooking the action. Quaint chop stick holders and if you ask - Plumm burgundy glasses for wine. There's no corkage. . .
The food is wonderful - homely and a mixture of temperatures and textures. The Omakase is a bargain at $60 per head, though you need give 48 hours notice. Six beautiful plates, five savouries and a bowl of miso just before the single dessert. It's not the very best Japanese meal I've had in town, but I can't recall a more comfortable and inviting place.

The staff are very friendly and welcoming, the venue is nice and small, the menu is affordable, but most of all the food that I've tasted here is very tasty.
Ordering a katsu don here, I couldn't stop thinking about it and had to come back the following week for another serving. Their Miso and katsu don is the closest in Perth to eating one in Japan.
It's my first time reviewing, but after eating at Ichirin I'd definitely recommend to anyone within the area. The only downside is the location - if you're like me and live close to the city or North of the river.

I had the duck with passion fruit miso sauce ($18), which was one of the special dishes on the night. Cooked to a pink middle, the duck was so tender with a slight grilled flavour on the skin. There’s a thin layer of fat giving the duck its juicy flavours. We were told to eat the duck together with the passion fruit miso sauce. The passion fruit miso sauce gave the duck a punch of acidity and sweet flavours, complementing well with the lovely duck.
Small restaurant with traditional jap foods prepared by jap chefs. Very friendly service. You can sit at tables or at the sushi bar. We chose to sit at the sushi bar. We started with mixed entree of kingfish and eggplant 🍆. Then had the agedashi tofu with yummy rich broth, special tempura whiting with spicy miso sauce and assorted sushi. All the food was full of flavor and not too long for a wait for food. This is my new favorite. Good value for quality of food. I felt like I was back in 🇯🇵. Arigatou gozaimasu!!! ❤
Dined here last night before heading to the movies at Southlands. My friend had mentioned this place to me before but last night was the first time I'd been there - amazing. Authentic Japanese food that is really delicious. It's a tiny place, only a few tables or you can eat at the counter like we did. Ordered the gyoza, mixed tempura, teriyaki beef with rice and miso soup. All of it was so good, I'm planning on eating there again this weekend. Gyozas were properly steamed then panfried, meat was tender and the tempura crisp and cooked in fresh oil. The miso soup is always a big test for me and this was flavour some and full of seaweed and tofu. Run by three Japanese people that night, they all know what they're doing and the service was great. A bit out of the way if you have no reason to head to Leeming but if you want quality, authentic Japanese food, Ichirin is the place to go. Next on my list is their udon.

This is the best japanese restaurant i have been to outside of Japan. In fact its better then most in Japan! They make the best udon noodles and they not shy on the portion sizes. If you looking for the best meal south of the river stop in here!
Salmon sashimi buttery. Beef teriyaki tender. Quite nice and would rate it between 3.5 to 4. A bit more expensive than your average suburban Japanese restaurant. They seem to get very busy, juggling a full restaurant wth take away. Hect
We discovered by this little gem by accidentally walking into the shopping center and it has been our family favorite Japanese restaurant since then. It was cooked with fresh ingredient, meat and seafood by a very talented Japanese chef. The service was nice and friendly. Highly recommended.
Tastefully decorated, clean and simple with welcoming faces working the kitchen. The food is brilliant; the value for money spot on. Very very nice, and we're local - so we will be coming back!
My first time writing a review as I have never felt compelled to before. However a recent visit for lunch had brought back wonderful memories of a Japanese holiday. I had the teriyaki salmon set which was cooked perfectly! Medium with a nice sauce that coated every piece beautifully.. I am still craving it! I can't wait to go back and try the other items on their menu especially the omakase.

Great little authentic Japanese restaurant in Leeming. Had the bento box, soft shell crab, teriyaki beef and chicken, and tataki beef. All the dishes were really nice and good service.
First of all this is definitely not your average suburban Japanese restaurant and not the average price your are paying so move on if you want a cheap japanese meal. This is a pleasant small restaurant run by Japanese which their cooking is not average menu you are expecting!
Forgotten what we ordered as the dishes name were new to me. Their menu split into hot, cold, mains and dessert. So we order 2 hot dishes assuming they are entree and 2 mains. End of of the meal we were quite full, the entree were quite big, not to fool by it price as we thought it quite pricey but for the quality and the size it quite reasonable. No complaints! Quality is definitely superb, food presentation is attractive and the taste is amazing.
Anyway the food came out not in sequence, our main came out first then the rest. It didnt bother me as I am enjoying the food. The staff and the chef are friendly and helpful. Will definitely go back there again..

Discovered this gem 3 weeks ago and since then I have been there 5 times ...... 2 off which were booked Omikase meals for 12 persons . Chef Shiro has improved the meals , presentation, quality and taste these few weeks making it a wonderful treat to eat such fine Japanese meals . Love the fact that he is opened for lunch too ......

Located in a small neighbourhood shopping complex but worth the visit if you are after some genuine tasting food. The restaurant is quite small, so do book ahead if you have a group. It's also an open kitchen. So you can see the chef cooking your food in front of you. We also ordered the green tea icecream, which was so smooth and delicious. It was full of flavour! Will come again!
