Came here for my birthday. Ate, drank and played ping pong all night.
The place feels good. The service is fantastic and the staff were polite, friendly and accommodating.
Interesting menu at reasonable prices for the quality - the beer is good too! Five of us had different dishes and everyone was pleased with their choice so I assume that all the menu is as good! We read the criticisms of the service and were a bit concerned - the food did take a while and came out over about 15 minutes so it not a great place for a quick intimate lunch. A bit more training for the wait staff would go a long way to making this an excellent place to eat and drink!
Went here on Sunday lunch for a table of 10. All the food was good, staff were friendly although the service was a bit slow. Would recommend this place as a good lunch venue, the location is great with a bit of sunshine.
Mate that experience was absolutely awesome top spot beers being from a micro brew top top notch #drunklife crab linguine bloody awesome top joint just do it !!!

The Isle of Voyage, on the little island at Elizabeth Quay in the relocated and quite enchanting Florence Hummerston Kiosk, has been rejigged and reinvented as the Island Brewhouse turning out a range of in-house brews. On Friday, one of those wonderful warm autumn days we have been experiencing of late, I dropped by for lunch with a dining chum and found a table outside in the garden, looking back over the river to the quay – the view both ways is alone worth the visit, it really is a beautiful spot. And as expected it was very busy – with tourists in abundance along with office workers and many others beside.
Thanks to a review on Zomato I avoided ordering a pizza instead opted for thr crab linguine for $25 which is cheaper than a few places I have eaten at. The fries I had were hot and crunchy just how I like them but at $9 a bit expensive especially as I asked for no aioli As it was after 2.40 when I dined for lunch and a Wednesday afternoon service was good and the waiter was diligent making sure my order was right due to my dairy intolerances except I said no fennel but I could taste it. I thought it was a bit funny that on the waiters badges it had their name and what country they are from.
We had a fantastic time at The Island Brew House. We celebrated an important event there with 25 family and friends. The food was amazing, and they were able to cater for all of our dietary requirements. The staff were super helpful and made sure that everyone got food they liked, making a special effort with the pickier eaters. They were more than willing to address any requests we had. We had a great time, and will definitely be back soon.
You may know casual restaurant The Island as “Isle of Voyage”. The spot found on Elizabeth Quay’s “island” in the iconic Florence Hummerston Kiosk has had a change of direction and it’s now home to a microbrewery, restaurant, garden bar and pizzeria. Little Chef, his Grandparents and I were enjoying a day seeing the sights of Elizabeth Quay after arriving on the ferry from South Perth. We popped into The Island, a restaurant that had opened in 2016, for a spot of lunch.
The place has a beautiful location to sit, relax and enjoy the drinks. Service quality is average and needs a bit of more consideration to improve. Food is good to complement the drinks
Went to this place yesterday after a nice walk by swan riverside. It’s location by river side and it was a beautiful sunset view.
We had ordered some food, salad, beer and a Irish coffee. It was all great and tasty.
Would love to visit again. In love with the ambiance and feel.
A nice venue with a lovely chilled ambiance, suitable for groups, couples and families. Menu has a great variety of food options and the portions are large! Well presented dishes and great tasting. An enjoyable experience by the swan river and twinkling lights. What a great view from the tables seated outside! Love the deco!
Terrible experience. Five faux stars for the nice weather.
Saturday afternoon had lunch with our group of 8 family and friends, unfortunately grandma's, daughter’s and my meals were overlooked. Most of the chat at the table was now about the disappointment of not having our lunch all together.
The meals only came out after four reminders to the careless waitstaff. No apology was ever offered - in fact more effort was made to avoid the issue as if nothing was wrong. We asked to speak to management who never came.
I never asked for money back nor hint for any form of compensation, but a bit of acknowledgement would have been a good outcome. There are many nicer restaurants in the area that will actually show some care - I advise you to consider your options before settling on the Island.
Was initially excited to attend and have a family catch up only to be let down with a disappointing cash grab. Very hard to recommend based on our group experience.
The five stars are for the setting / location and the fact that times are tough for hospitality.
I really enjoyed this beautiful and warm place, with the best view. I ordered a burger, and it was delicious, well presented and quick; the place has good craft beers (for me, the best was the black one). Also, it has a good service, but the only thing that you need to consider is that you need to stand up and order the food in the bar, also bring the drinks to your table, for some people could be a problem, especially if you go with a huge group.
Great venue to have a meal or drinks or both. Location is gorgeous. Menu has lots to choose from and the prices are very reasonable. The food was brought out in a timely manner and was cooked fresh, hot and tasty. The haloumi burger was so tasty and the fries nice and crisp.
The cocktail menu was great and varied prices were what you would expect approx $20.00 for a cocktail.
We were in the Alfresco area looking across the water. The view across Elizabeth Quay was beautiful, we ordered the seafood platter and it was amazing. I especially liked the snapper ceviche with the tortillas. Staff were also very friendly!
Came here with someone for lunch and had some share plates. Lovely little setting and the staff were very friendly and accommodating.
We particularly enjoyed the fried cauliflower with pomegranate, za'atar, and golden raisin puree.
We also tried the market fish crudo and Miguel's tacos. The market fish crudo had a fairly subtle but pleasant flavour, and the beef in the tacos was tender and lovely.
The other food I saw looked great too, I wish I was in Perth longer so I could come back again!
Beautiful views, great food menu, I don’t drink beer but I do love gin and their gin selection is good. Fantastic cocktails! The outdoor seating is quite nice & cozy in the winter with all of the heaters. The views of the water and cityscape at night are fantastic.
