Super pleasant hospitality by staff, hearty portion sizes and the beef rendang is exceptional.
The ikan goreng (fried fish) and baka bumbu rica are also yum!
If you enjoy exploring the the international tastes of the humble little local eateries dotted along William Street, definitely stop in here.

Our first time and over the moon we have found Manise. Especially my Indonesian wife who is so fussy with her food and pleased to say she loves it very much..love the food and homely atmosphere.....so looking forward to go back...

Manise, up the top end of William Street, near the mosque, serves up excellent East Indonesian food, at very low prices. There is a small printed menu, with black boarded specials –and they often upload a pic of the day’s special on Instagram to give you notice before they run out –so if you like this type of food well worth following them! And they are unlicensed but happy to supply wine glasses.
A very enjoyable experience. The food was delicious, service friendly and efficient and the atmosphere intimate. Can't wait to get back there! Recommended.
Amazing! Great simple food done well. We ate everything from the vegetables menu, really cheap and really good! Staff were also really lovely :) :) :) will be coming back!
Exquisite Indo food... prob the best I've ever had...recommended by two indonesian friends.
The sticky oxtail and peanutty beef ribs were unbelievable...like seriously...wow! Our collective mouths watered the entire time. We also got the chicken curry (yum) and the whole fish. The teh tarik was delicious too...
The service was great... lovely friendly host and the chef was fab too.
Plus we got some homemade ikan bilis to go.... I tasted a bit on the drive home.... drooool worthy!!

Came for late lunch. Tried their weekend special which was good, chilli was very spicy with the kicks in your head. Ambience was a bit dim thou..
The beef rendang was amazing and i had a fish dish as well.....Probably not the restaurant to go to to propose to your girlfriend but if you are looking for amazing tasting food at reasonable prices this is the place! I am a pretty big eater and i definitely had enough to fill me up which is unusual for me at a restaurant.
I really miss this place. 10 years ago i used to eat here like 3-4 times per week. I really liked the konro bakar. I cant find better konro in indo.
Empek2, rendang, ayam panggang (came with sauce), ayam manise. I tried almost all their menu. So so good! I miss perth!
Food was good. I prefer ordering seafood in this restaurant. Because their seafood is yummy. But their other choices of food are okay. Service was great. The owner was really kind and hospitable. It’s a bit pricey tho, because rice is not included in most of their menu.
Known for its Grilled Tender Beef Ribs, which I think excellent. It does compare or maybe even better to the original "Konro Bakar" in Indonesia. Grilled fish is also nice, I can say most of the menu I have tasted here is good and if you like spicy sambal, very good here too!
Always come back to this place since 2000 and is no wonder they have been around for so long, great service, and friendly owners.
I love all the food that i ever order there. They all beautiful. The staffs and the owner are very friendly and helpful. Small place but nice.
