Review Silk Road Uyghur Cuisine - Perth

Very friendly and attentive staff! Water replaced frequently. Lamb ribs were very fatty, decadent and melted off the bone. Perfect. Chicken skewers were amazing and juicy. Spice level was very palatable. Thick noodles were delicious. We preferred the chicken kebabs over the lamb kebabs. And the lamb ribs over any other lamb. 5/5 would recommend and can't wait to come back!

A warm and inviting place with an authentic flavour. The kebabs on such large skewers are quite a sight to behold! Just a shame that our food came out at such staggered times (lamb shanks took awhile). If I went back again I would try some of the noodle dishes.

Oh my God the portion sizes and the flavours! Completely blew my mind. Definitely coming back for the kebabs and plentiful servings. Such a gem of a place. New comfort food unlocked. Highly recommend going there with an empty stomach to enjoy fully.

The waitress was very lovely. Great customer service. The lamb skewers were superb. The serving sizes were very decent and the dinning environment is lovely.

They know how to cook lamb! Both skewers and shank are delicious Yogurt is thick and creamy Don't forget the dessert rice pudding, amazing I like carrot rice as well

Everything swas delicious, all the meat skewers were grilled to perfection. Lamb skewers are well seasoned and tender, beef kebab is good, chicken wings are juicy and well marinated. Will definitely be back to try their other dishes. Service is fantastic too, clean dining area as well.

The kebabs were so tasty. Esspecially kidney, lamb and chicken kebabs tasted great since they were so soft and flavourfull. Kunefe was quite average. But overall we had a nice turkish food experience.

Interesting fusion-style cuisine (think Asian meets Turkish). Menu is fairly extensive (alot of the dishes seemed very similar & it’s very meat/chicken oriented, no vegetarian options). Ordered their signature dish Toho kordak (big serving, taste was ok), Kurgak korma noodles (nice), Assorted Meat platter (pretty good) and the Polo rice (tasty, but a tiny serving for the cost). Overall fairly good food, service left a lot to be desired unfortunately.

Huge menu - hard to choose between the various different options. Food is packed with flavour and is well prepared. Couldn’t recommend more!<br/>

Unique experience, you can really taste the fusion of the various cuisines found along the Silk Road. Lovely lamb skewers, hopefully you like lamb, and lamb tripe, and lamb ribs. Laghman pulled noodles is very similar to the Chinese equivalent La Mein. good service, well worth a visit or two. That spicy chicken dish has a strong lingering kick, memorable.

takes ages to get the fist meal and the second meal never come. Seems like they change boss and shelf Never come again. you will be disappointed if you come.

This review has been given for poor customer service and lack of effort to rectify my issue.. <br/><br/>We ordered 2 dishes from Uber eats. Very well portioned but quite average in taste. <br/><br/>The first meal was correct but the second was a dish I could not even smell. It just isn’t sit well with me. I ordered something with chicken and this was a dish with no meat. Completely different dish. <br/><br/>We emailed Silk Road with no response. So we sent another email to Uber eats who would have contacted Silk Road but stillll no response. Dinner cost 55 dollars for two dishes and I wanted a refund on my second meal but no response has left me with no choice but to leave review. <br/><br/>In my opinion customer service is just as important as the food and the food was barely above average and the customer service was terrible. ordered lamb kebab today in the northbridge street food festival. the lamb kebab not fresh and undercooked. maybe due to many people queuing.

very welcoming staff the food was very delicious and prices are really good! the place was very nice and felt very relaxed def would recommend the place

It was a random find for us on a Monday evening and it turned out to be surprising good. We had the chicken with chilli, lamb skewers and a salad - very authentic taste and more importantly, the food was not oily at all. The portions were huge and we will definitely come back next time (and save room for dessert!)

Awesome place, clean and friendly. Authentic Uyghur cuisine. Love the lamb skewer, Polo, and the fried noodles, and all their chicken dishes. Must try!

Fantastic find. <br/>Great introduction to uyghur cuisine.<br/>Silky smooth hand pulled noodles with chicken and veggies, great flavour to the dumplings, flavourful meatballs, juicy chicken kebabs. Most dishes are focused on lamb as expected of the culture - well done. Our rice pudding dessert was amazing too. <br/>Will be back for sure.

Had delicious Lunch on Sunday. Clean & spacious.Very friendly staff who tries to attend to customers needs ASAP, energetically,  even though they were fasting due to Ramadan. Dishes cooked in perfect order.Overall I give my thumbs up.

Service was fantastic. So attentive, great recommendations. Food came out quickly and was really tasty. A mix of Northern Chinese/ Turkish cuisine. A first for us but we will be back!

I love the food here and my family aswell. Very unique and tasty been here twice was never disappointed. Decor is nice waitstaff friendly and food is fabulous.<br/><br/>Food is at a reasonable price most expensive being $32 but thats a xl portion.<br/><br/>A little positive feedback any chance of more different main meals.

I don't really get how the overall rating of this restaurant is 3.1 when it has nothing but positive reviews. Here comes another.  I walked past one day and scanned the menu in the window. That's different, I thought. What is Uyghur cuisine?  How do you even say that word? No idea, but curious to find out.  Turns out that it's a tasty mix of middle eastern and Asian, which is very enthusiastically explained by the owner at Silk Road.  Oh, and it's pronounced kind of like "WEE-gur", which appeals to me as a white guy with a love of hip hop music :p  We had a delicious and very filling experience (be warned - the dishes are bigger than you expect!). As a result of the feast we struggled to tackle even one dessert between the two of us, but I'm glad we tried because it (Kunafe - "Turkish cheese pastry soaked in sweet, sugar-based syrup and served with ice cream") was crazy good. I'll be returning, and next time with extra people so we can sample more dishes, but I'm definitely ordering that Kunafe again. But from the starters to the salad and the mains everything was full of flavour.  --  Edited in June to add:  made it back to Silk Road again, tried out some different dishes, which were also good.  Kunafe again for dessert though!  4 star rating retained.

Although the pricing might be in the high side, but the ambient and food justify it charges. If you like lamb, you should not missed their lamb skewers. It's the kind of "familiar but slightly different" kinda food that you'll fall I love with. Good food aside, the charming owner bring dining at a new restaurant being a culture learning experience, a little surprise with his language ability. Haha... a bit outta point here. Will try again next time, for the special chicken noodle dish.

Tried this place today for lunch and was not disappointed at all. Decor is nice like a fine dining restaurant. Tried the Polo, chicken kebap and Kunafa. Very tasty all of them, food was made fresh. Polo rice and chicken was an exciting fusion of different cultures. Would definitely return.

Yum!!! Skewers were much better than some fancy steaks for a lot less money. The Tawa Kewap lamb in sauce was awesome, very homely but complex and not overwhelming. Will be back. Good service too. <br/><br/>

The environment of the restaurant is nice and clean. The service staffs are polite and helpful. The food are delicious and the serving are big.

Came here on a Wednesday night. Great food and service. We particularly liked the lamb kebabs (nice pepper flavour) on the skewer and the Desserts. Highly recommended this place if you want to try something different.

To be honest, the name of this restaurant welcomed my tastebuds first... Silk Road.. uyghur cuisine... to introduce you to the culture first uyghur culture derives of Turkish ethnics living in eastern & Central Asia. So the food has a twist... a twist that ticks all yummy boxes. Whatever you do... be warned... sharing your dessert could turn into a foodie fight because it's just too good!!!!!! My next visit will be soon as I'm looking forward to trying their yummy soups! <br/><br/>Thankyou for your hospitality <br/>

One of my favourite places in Victoria Park. Very authentic Uyghur cuisine. Went there 4 times already, it surprised me every time with different dishes on the menu. Absolutely love the yogurt drink.

Have been wanting to try this new opening at Vic Park for a while, and finally made it today. Love the decor of the restaurant. The lamb kebab taste superb, but the Tawa Kewap is a very small serve. The services is mostly good. Will go again to try other dishes.

Wow! This place is an legend! Super surprised by what they have to offer, yummy yummy yummy!  Big portion, very reasonable price, great customer service, and fast! We tried many dishes on the menu and no one is disappointed! No wonder just opened one month the restaurant is full of people during the dinner time.

Excellent flavours and staff! All the food we ordered was made fresh and tasted amazing. I've been here 3 times and will definitely be back!
