Review Domain On Loch - Perth

We found this gem of a cafe after taking a wrong turn. Best mistake ever! Dog friendly outside dining, beautiful ambiance, fresh good quality food and friendly service. Mister Truffles particularly liked the swinging seating outside. We highly recommend this cafe.

Very nice cafe in Nedlands. Great outdoor area for group catch ups with plenty of shading. Coffee and juice was good with a small selection of sandwiches or have one freshly made. Parking isn't the best in the area, but you can find a few bays behind the cafe or on the surrounding roads. Overall nice experience and recommend a visit if in the area

Lovely setting, held a lot of promise. Unfortunately loud repetitive beats incessantly blaring from the speakers ruined the peace. The chai tea was even less flavoursome than your run of the mill Twinnings, unfortunate given how much boutique tea is around. And seriously, isn’t it time to throw this cracked milk jug out? Could be great but was poor.

Always very mediocre food. Prices are quite inflated, aside from the coffee & muffin deal for $7. Savoury muffins are way better than the sweet ones. Watch the total they charge as I was overcharged today and didn't catch it until I got home.

Staff (also patrons!) unfailingly rude and stare-y whenever I or my partner order takeaway here. Aptly named : this is clearly the Domain of the Better-Than-Thou kind.

Great coffee and really lovely little spot. It has a beautiful little courtyard that has water bowls around and I checked - definitely dog friendly 🙏❤️🐕 I was only passing by so just grabbed a takeaway coffee, but I will definitely visit again soon with my furkids 😊☕

As ever, the friendliast little coffee shop in Perth's area . A splendid spor for meeting friends over a coffee and/or lunch etc. Charming!!

Super cute set up! If one can ignore the slightly challenging parking. Reminds me of the green Victorian cottages from Melbourne. I came here for brunch with a few friends. My friends did not rate the coffee highly. I had the chili scrambled eggs, which I felt were a bit average. My other friends had the pork belly. When all the ingredients on that plate were put together on your fork, the taste was excellent. Perhaps next time I'll come for some afternoon cake.

Great spot. Excellent service and fabulous choices on the menu. He had mexican wrap (HUGE) and I had eggs benny. Yummo. Great coffee. Watch the ankle biting mozzies if you're out near the water feature.

Amazing breakfast experience here. Love the ambience felt homely. The wait staffs were amazing. I tried a banana coffee! They even have a chilli cinnamon coffee that i am looking forward to trying in the future! Food experience was delightful. I had fried eggs shakshouka (if i spelled it right), only problem was that it felt too congested on my plate needed an extra plate to have my meal more comfortable. Portion size was fair!

I have enjoyed a few relaxed, delicious breakfasts here and take-away food such as soup and croissants. So good to see another cafe offering 'half serve' breakfast dishes. Let's face it ... it's all most of us need.
Staff are friendly and there are a couple of indoor and outdoor eating areas off the shop. Don't be put off by the location on a busy road; it's quiet inside.

Lovely renovated old shop turned into a restaurant. The food is good and the staff are nice. They go the extra mile with little extras like Himalayan salt on the table and little biscuits with your coffee.

This place is a hidden little gem. just grabbed some take away coffees in the morning, they were delicious. the coffee also came with a little cookie (always a nice little treat) the food on display was all homemade and there was a big variety of it: sweet and savoury muffins, assorted cookies, brownies, pastries, etc.
I cant wait to come here for breakfast one morning! I've only heard good things about this place :)

Came here for breakfast on a Sunday after a morning run. Liked the courtyard.
I ordered a mushroom supreme on their special menu and was quite disappointed with the portion. Only one piece of toast and they used English Spinach instead, for $24 which I found way too pricey. Both of our coffees only were served after we almost finished with our breakfasts. The mocha was very disappointing, which tasted like McD Expresso coffee.

Simple and easy, nothing to fancy for breakfast, and they have a gorgeous courtyard. Very peaceful listening to birds singing. Great coffee. Food and service ok.

Fine food and service. No complaints, but nothing to rave about. Overall, I did enjoy my breakfast here. Possibly a little overpriced for the quality of food. Cafe has a nice ambience though.

Disappointing service!. Where do I start.. Went for breakfast and coffee ard 9am on a Friday, cafe was not busy. The girl serving didn't know what the cafe is selling. When asked what's in the savoury muffins, she said she will find out. Her way of finding out: looking at the muffin and named the ingredients she can see (?!). That's not too bad, but wait.. Ordered a couple of sandwiches from the display cabinet. While waiting for our order, she asked us at least twice which sandwiches and coffees we ordered. When our sandwiches came out after being toasted, mine had napkins truly stuck to the bottom of it, had to spend 5min to pick it out. My husband's sandwich was not on rye as per display cabinet. When asked abt it she said we had to request and she can't see the display from where she is (?). Kept saying for next time we should request, even though we said we weren't coming back. For the next place she said. Wow the attitude is beyond belief.
Everywhere else we've been to: what's on display is what you sell, not an inferior alternative. It would be deceitful otherwise.
Left a bad taste in our mouths. Definitely will not be back.

Beautiful breakfast. Wonderful food, service and ambience in this lovely courtyard setting.
Will definitely return.

Pleasant Surroundings. Enjoyed our breakfast in the courtyard with excellent service

Must love dogs. Lovely outdoor courtyard. We found domain on Loch after being disappointed that the Bay Road Pantry was closed on Sundays despite the online opening hours saying it was open. Too bad -we found a nice alternative here...might try the other another day. Had our two greyhounds with us and the staff were lovely.

Teased with a muffin. Good coffee but don't go there if your in a hurry. I was behind someone ordering a coffee but the lady asked us both what we wanted (I imagine in an effort to give us both fast service?) All I wanted was a cold muffin to take to work. She walked off to heat it up but i called after her not to worry trying to indicate I was in a hurry. I had the right cash all ready. She started the coffee for other customer which was fair enough but then put my muffin in a bag and put it next to the till in front of me then continued to make coffee and serve the other guy all she had to do was take my money but made me wait another 7 minutes while she finished serving the first guy and when i gave her the money and rushed out she made a comment to the effect that I was being rude for being in a hurry. Really disappointing - service sucks these days. They had great coffee and freo gernsey's on the wall but now I don't want to go back.

Gorgeous little courtyard complete with garden toadstools.... Tasty food ... Been here twice. They serve their own homemade Kasundi with some of the dishes and it is delectable. Everything we've had here tastes great, from the muesli to the eggs on toast. Inconsistent pricing, though. Some dishes are amazing value, others are overpriced.

Delicious breaky with my girlfriends here this morning. While it was busy when we arrived the staff found us a table quickly and the great service continued from there, particularly from the gent who served us, thanks Ian!! I will definitely be back again :)

What a little gem this restaurant is! Ventured away from the coast and headed here for breakfast on recommendation of friends. We weren't disappointed - the food was delicious, beautifully served by friendly staff, I'm still thinking about my mushroom dish, so I will be back!

Coffee hit & miss. Food is ok, nothing special.

Terrible service. I have been here a couple of times and have been pleased with the cafe, however today was so terrible that I wont be returning.

To start with the waitress's were impolite and not prompt in anything.
My flat white came out after a long wait (they weren't busy) and it was very burnt, I kindly asked for a new one to which the waitress's reply made it sound like it was my fault that I didn't like the coffee and that it was a burden on them to make a new one (in my opinion a cafe should be willing to do whatever it take to satisfy a customer, and making an extra coffee isnt an abnormal request.) The replacement coffee that came out was also burnt, so i decided to give up and pay for it without drinking it.

The final straw was when my salad came out 15minutes after my partners meal. I find this really frustrating, we came to eat together not at different times, and a salad isnt a difficult thing to prepare. It also didnt taste very good so needless to say I wasnt very happy by the end of the meal.

I would say give it a try if you want because I have had some good experiences previously, however I wont be returning.

Went here for breakfast on a Sunday morning. The staff were really friendly and the food was very nice. They were also happy to cater for my vegan diet.

Great find. We stumbled across this cafe on Sunday and popped in for some breakfast. Service was great - as was the breakfast and coffee. So relaxing sitting outside in the courtyard. Will definitely be going back

Really great setting but the food didn't live up to my expectations. The eggs benedict was underwhelming, the rye toast was soggy - would've been better with a thicker bread. The sprouts were unnecessary but the egg white was incredibly running. And the freshly squeezed orange juice was $9... That seems extreme.

The food was delicious and the portion size was perfect. The produce was fresh. The staff were fantastic. Would definitely go back.

This lovely little corner cafe has a lot going for it, position, look and style. Unfortunately I was pretty disappointed with the coffee and fruit toast I had. Burnt milk and fruit toast was ave - not sure if in willing to let it redeem itself unfortunately.

Great Breakfast. Had breakfast and my poached eggs were done to perfection which is very rare to get nowadays. Only one small disappointment was that the bread should have been ciabatta bread rather than the ordinary sliced bread. The setting is lovely and would definitely return.

Lovely. Beautiful little cafe in the burbs. Visited one sunday morning and had a delicious chai latte and toast. Decor and ambience lovely. Staff a deight, especially the young lass clearing the tables. So nice that she took the time for a smile and a chat.

A French Feel. 9/10 for ambience. 8/10 for the coffee. 7.5/10 for the food.
A surprise find on a nice Sunday walk. Very enjoyable.
Delightful atmosphere and wonderful service. The coffee was good but not brilliant. The eggs on toast lacked a slice of toast. Three poached eggs and only one slice of toast. Tasty nonetheless. I'll ask for extra toast next time. The fruit toast was lovely.
We will return!

I have seen many cafes, lunch bars and shops come and go in this space over the years, however, I'm praying that Domain on Loch stays forever. With delicious food, lovely coffee and welcoming, friendly staff, this little corner cafe is just the place I've been looking for. I'm really hoping that the locals get behind it because without much foot traffic passing by it will need loyal customers to last. Fingers crossed!!

Great cafe - food is fantastic, especially the breakfast. They make a terrific coffee as well. The staff are very friendly

Friendly service and flexible with the menu for our vegan diner. Vege stack was tasty as was the Moroccan chicken. Nice ambience in the courtyard. Could have some more vego menu options

Amazing new cafe! staff are all very friendly, and the different rooms have a lovely effect. The decorated wall and painting in the long room are very artistic :) my new favorite place :)

Great cafe with good breakfast & lunch options. Very excited as a local to have something walking distance! Few different seating options depending on what mood you're in!

You walk into a lovely courtyard with warm and friendly staff ready to greet and seat you. We decided to sit inside to avoid the weather, its nice and homely and the walls scattered with recipes and old magazine articles that make you feel nostalgic, as if you were a child back in your grandmas kitchen. We ordered our usual lattes. The coffee was mellow and a bit weak but creamy and with a nice flavour nonetheless. There’s plenty of breakfast favourites on the menu but we were in the mood for something sweet… We started with pancakes, served with fresh strawberry, maple syrup and silvered almond. The fresh strawberries were great and the almonds added a nice textural crunch. The pancakes were okay but a little dense. This was just nice home style food, great to satisfy a sweet tooth. Unsurprisingly we also went for french toast with banana, maple syrup and bacon. The presentation was unusual with a toothpick stacking the toast and banana. The toast was nicely done, a good sweetness and not soggy, we also loved being given the extra maple syrup to serve ourselves. instagram and Facebook !

The menu offers up your standard breakfast dishes of eggs various ways, muesli, French toast and pancakes as well as some different options including a baked chorizo dish, which my friend ordered. I went with the hash brown served with scrambled eggs, smoked salmon and Hollandaise sauce. She ordered a banana and mango smoothie, I went with a juice made up of apple, orange and watermelon. I asked if they had any mint if they could also add that to the juice, which they did. Sometimes you need an extra bit of perking up on a Saturday morning!

This morning we took my little car to the garage for its major service and luckily for us there was a cafe around the corner for a much needed breakfast and coffee retreat, to distract my thoughts of the car service cost. Domain on Loch sits on a corner street in neighbourhood surroundings, the cafe is housed in a restored character home typical to the Claremont area. I was initially drawn to the cafe simply by the appearance of the chairs located outside, they resembled a high heeled shoe which I thought was pretty cool. Claremont has quite a few cafes nestled in its neighbourhood streets and I am finding them to be a quiet haven from the bustling city cafes. Domain on Loch is also a catering business providing platters, buffets, finger foods and organised function menus. Inside the cafe there was a little ‘beach shack’ looking space separated from the front counter area. One wall was adorned in recipes and food photos and the odd article from old magazines, quite possibly Women’s Day

When you picture a cafe in Nedlands, what do you see? Is it the mums of the golden triangle sitting around sipping their cappuccinos in the latest Lulu Lemon active wear? Well you won't see this at Domain on Loch... well on the weekends at least. There is zero pretentiousness about this corner shop style cafe. It sits there quaintly on the corner with the casual feel inside beckoning those wanting a change from the curt and rushed service they see elsewhere. Inside the walls are plastered with pages from old cookbooks and womens magazines that reminded my sister and I of the Margaret Fulton books that fill our mum's shelves. Mock duck is never a good recipe unless there are war rations ok? Outside is a shady decking area with couches and tables - perfect if you just wanted to stop in for a coffee and one of their house made treats. Local roaster Karvan provide the beans here. Served with a little short bread biscuit, there's a lot to love about this creamy and robust brew. If you're pl
