Best waffles in Perth. Very generous serving sizes, they don’t save on ingridients either (sauces, fruits etc.). I like the cafe setting as well, it’s cozy especially on weekdays when it’s not as busy.

Ordered a classic but they forgot the butter and maple syrup. Also double sad because they gave me cold cut up butter, it seems they don't have any whipped butter which is a big oversight for a waffle place. The icecream also melted very very quickly. Waffle cake itself was really really good though. Vanilla milkshake tasted too artificial and sweet 3/5 Galaxy Lemonade was really good though though! ⭐🌌 I think their fancy waffles might be better but as a basic, waffle with whiped butter, whipped cream and maple syrup purist, it was kinda lackluster tbh.

I tried the blueberry waffles, it was syrupy, , appetizing, crisp and the balance between hot fresh baked waffles and cold vanilla ice cream is well done The hot mocha is one of the best I had in Perth Still the service is slow But sure I will come again to try the rest in the menu

Lovely little dessert shop, had the Chocolate Strawberry Waffle ($17). Overall it was delicious; the waffles were crisp on outside but soft on inside. Wished there were more varieties on the menu. Also its on the expensive side for dessert in my opinion. Love the location, in a small arcade in the hip neighbourhood Northbridge.

The waffles here are nice and crispy. They are served with enough ingredients and a small portion of syrup but the waffles taste good. Place is small with some indoor and outdoor seating relaxing enough to sit back and chill.

The waffle are Yumm yumm yumm... We came at night time I think they already tired, found a used tissue in on of the drinking cups, so I wonder if the cups are well washed, maybe just improve the hygiene?😅

We stopped by after a long walk. It's situated in a narrow alley connecting the street to a parking lot. Oh my... the waffle crispy, quite thin amd light. Chocolate sauce poured on the top with a scoop of ice cream and some slices of strawberry. A real treat after long walk.

My favourite dessert place in Perth for waffles! They are always so fresh and so filling. I love how the presentation is always perfect and they have unique dishes. My favourite would have to be the s’mores waffles and I usually order it with a side of vanilla ice cream. The only reason why I took a star off is because it’s a little pricey compared to other places for just 2 waffle pieces.

I have been to superstar waffles a few times. It's a hidden gem down a surprisingly active alley in Northbridge. They pack a lot into their tiny shop - even with simple things like magazine racks built into the back of the benches, and an interactive board. I giggled a bit at the personal touch of the Coles minis display someone had created, including their shopping list of missing items. But, the food. The menu is clear - waffles. From the super sweet ( the smores waffle is my favourite for this!) To the balanced ( apple pie is sweet while fruity with the right amount of cinnamon ) to the seasonal black forest which lends a tartness which compliments the sweet ice cream. The waffles are always crisp enough to not go soggy immediately, and they are always plated well, with smears of fudge, chocolate and garnishes. The drinks menu is suprisingly broad and they always have tap water. Superstar waffles delivers consistently excellent desserts in a very personal feeling cafe. We are lucky to have them!

You still have a few days to get your hands on these yummy #gingerbreadwaffles, served with browned butter rum sauce, icecream, strawberries, candied walnut and freshly whipped cream 🍪🍦🍓🥞. Superstar Waffles is home to one of the best waffles in Perth and this flavour combination is sooo on! The spiced gingerbread waffle was amazingly fragrant, soft yet firm enough to mop up the creamy vanilla icecream 😋. That browned butter sauce was on another level of deliciousness, with warm rum and butter tasting super luscious on our palate 🤤. It was a pity that our sauce was crystallised and not as smooth as it could have been but the decadence was enough for us to forgive the flaws. It's been a miserable winter so why not turn it around with one of these? Not sure about your waistline but your soul will love you for it.

What can I say - waffles?! Any waffle lovers dreams really. This place has a real quirk and reputation for just ‘doing it well’. Especially when there’s a lack of sweet/dessert options in Perth and late night! This place is a true gem. Not to mention the shakes and extensive drink (tea and coffee) menu is tops! It’s just a shame the place is not bigger as they tend to get very busy and crammed inside.

I love this place! The waffles are delicious and the different toppings are so good. Pictured is the brûlée banana which is my favourite one ever, so delicious. The other is apple pie which is really good too, apples a little sour though.

A great dessert cafe that does coffee, milkshakes, and waffles. It's a fairly simple concept executed well, as the fresh-made waffles with fun topping combinations make this a great place to visit. The Taro Milkshake was definitely an attraction, as was the friendly staff! I'm glad to see it getting busier since it opened, since it's relatively tucked away in an arcade away from the main street.

This is my go to place for a sunday morning waffle brunch. My faves are the strawberry fields and warm apple pie waffle. They make nice 'dirty matcha' too, which is combination of coffee, and matcha latte. It could be quite sweet so let them know if you would like mild level of sweetness. The rooibos variation of latte , cappuccino, or red espresso are available too.

Hands down the best waffles that Perth has to offer! You would be an idiot not to try these. The service was decent and the waffles came out quick enough. Pretty pricey but as far as I'm concerned worth the price. A new Venue wouldn't hurt as this place is too small and cramped but other then that no complaints..

While my usual choice for well made desserts in the CBD is 'Pancakes at Carillon', I decided to venture out of my comfort zone and try something different for a change. (As a bloke with his missus on a mission to find a decent engagement ring in the city I needed some power-shopping energy food!) My venture proved successful, what a fantastic little place! Being a pancake pro yet a waffle know-nothing I didn't expect such a great experience. The waffle was delivered swiftly and plated perfectly, the service friendly and seating tight yet comfortable. The waffle plates we tried were delicious, simple yet perfectly made. Well done to this eatery for producing such professional desserts, you have truly impressed me and I will recommend you to anyone in need of great waffles. Very well done.

I've been to Superstar Waffles a few times in the past few years and every time I've visited it's been great but today wasn't one of those times.. The waffles were excellent and I have no complaints about them at all but the fact I had to wait over 30 minutes for an Iced Taro Latte sucked. We also ordered a chocolate milkshake that came out about 20 minutes after we ordered our food and it shouldn't have taken that long. We ended up getting our drinks around ten minutes after we had finished our food yet the shop wasn't that busy. I enjoy coming to Superstar Waffles but this wasn't up to their normal standard.

It was pretty okay dessert parlour with a quite good waffles. So far we tried 3 different flavours and nothing was bad. Its a pretty small place though so it is very crampy and crowded. Even on the outside seat.

My favourite menu item is the S'mores Waffles; I just love the shot glass of sprinkles. It's quite filling, and decently priced. The Apple Pie waffles are pretty good. The service is friendly.

Their 'Iced matcha latte' is a must try here! Best thing on their menu for sure! Their waffles are better than average but not amazing, probably not worth more than $7-$8 though (but definitely not bad). Staff are friendly as well but their matcha latte is definitely worth giving a shot!

Nice to have a dessert place in Northbridge one can go to after a meal elsewhere. Waffles are very good, though you have to choose carefully. It's all about the toppings and the standard chocolate sauce and vanilla ice cream topping are not that impressive (poor quality choc and ice cream). However, the berry compote topping and peanut butter mousse toppings are just amazing! It is a heavy dessert, perfect if shared between friends.

The Waffles are quite good but very overpriced. 50cents for extra serving of condensed milk, $2 for a small serving of bananas/strawberries when a piece of small plain waffle with maple syrup costs around $10.50. The taste is not bad, not phenomenal, but not bad. Just that the exorbitant prices puts me off from returning.

If your specialty is waffles, make sure they are good. Presentation was good, menu made things sound lucious but this wasn't enough to make up for the flavourless lack lustre waffle. Imagine taking the insole out of your shoe and chewing on it and you'll get the idea. Coffee wasn't something I'd return for either! Staff are friendly hence the 2 rating.

The name says it all. Superstar Waffles' menu isn't huge, but it doesn't need to be. There's a great selection of waffles with various ice-creams/fruits/toppings/etc., all of which are amazing! Next time your in the area skip dessert at dinner and head here for a treat!

What an exciting find. The most delicious waffles I've ever tasted. The crisp but soft buttery texture of the waffles and the exquisite vanilla ice cream and mellow deep honey with a swish of cream. Yumm Yumm Yumm. The coffee is also brilliant. No bitterness whatsoever. Just a deep organic coffee bean mix of deliciousness. You must drop in and get a waffle and coffee. You will be transformed. PS those gorgeous Japanese couple that own and run it ( I presume ? ) are lovely people too.

OK gelare is not better! These waffles are delicious delicious proper batter and super buttery. Ice cream is worse than expected but that's OK because just get extra nutella!! I got the smores waffle and the only gripe was I needed more nutella for the bottom waffle but it was the best waffle ever OMG I love marshmellows! My friend got the strawberry fields and loved it. Other friend got the banofee one with nutella for good measure and thoroughly enjoyed it. Great selection of T2 tea - creme brulee went well cutting through the sweetness of my waffle :) wish I took a photo but I always devour yummy things so fast.....

Gelare is definitely better but its great for a sweet fix although ice cream is low quality, regular cheap coles brand.Had the peanut mousse, good flavours and really enjoyed it .Not a great waffle itself and mine was cold and a bit dry so you need the ice cream which doesn't come with the waffle automatically, pay and extra $1.50 for a scoop.

I had been looking for some proper waffles for a while (and by proper I mean the ones with the crunchy outside and not just simply a waffle shaped pancake) and when I discovered Superstar waffles I was happily brought to the end of my search. They may not be as great as ones from Belgium, but they are still pretty delicious especially due to all the toppings that they offer. Me and my friend had the apple crumble/pie waffle and the banoffee one, both of which were highly enjoyable. The waffles are large and at about $12 are very good value for money (especially for Perth standards.) As someone said in a previous review I definitely recommend buying the scoop of ice cream for $1.50, it's large enough to share between two people and makes the food that much better.

After searching up all the late night dessert places in Perth, I stumbled upon Superstar Waffles, which was in Northbridge in Arcade 189. I ordered the banoffee waffles, with an extra spread of Nutella and vanilla icecream. When the waffles came out, I realized I had made a mistake in ordering the extras. The waffles were huge! They were warm and came with maple syrup, bananas, cream and dusted in icing sugar. The icecream scoop was huge and I was quite full after eating just the icecream honestly! The flavours of the banoffee waffle (and my extra hazelnut dip cup!!) were amazing together but sadly the waffle defeated me and I couldn't finish. :( Very well priced for how big they were!

Great waffles (peanut butter and oreo master race anyone?), great warm ambience, and I always feel sorry for the guys who work there because they have to cook waffles and make drinks in what looks like a 1mx1m space. And the results are outstanding - the iced matcha latte (in all of its hip mason jar glory) is just fabulous. I've been going here for the last 3 years and I still want more!

Unlike many of the newer dessert places, their menu doesn't seem to change much to be more creative. Apart from that, had the S'mores waffle and that was nice with the mashed marshmallow - soft and sticky. Nutella to top it off was perfect! Their waffle mixture is more of the dense and sweet kind rather than the fluffy ones like you'll find at gelare. But the highlight was their Taro Latte - perfect on a cold night.

Great waffles place!! We decided to come here for some dessert after lunch. Luckily it was not very busy yesterday afternoon. We ordered the choc nut waffle, classic waffle, berrylicious waffle and the warm apple pie waffle. All the waffle doesn't come with ice cream, so we had to pay an extra $1.50 for each scoop of ice cream. All the waffle are crispy on the outside but light and fluffy on the inside, absolutely delicious. The warm apple pie waffle, the apple actually came out warm, perfect dessert to have during winter time. We really enjoyed the waffles at this place and will definitely recommended it. Great atmosphere , good selection of waffle choices, and friendly staffs . I'm glad the food at this place remain the same 'as good as' last time I came here. The only downside was they accept "cash only ".

A must go place for all you waffle lover! Their waffle is made fresh and delicious! The place is small but the staffs are friendly and the food comes in quickly too. My favorite will be the peanut butter mousse waffle (if you are a fan of peanut butter like me, then you must try this!) for only $9.5, it comes with a super delicious peanut butter mousse. Oh, and please add an ice cream (a dollar extra) but it taste so much better to eat waffle with ice cream ain’t it? PS: dont forget to order the ice taro latte!!! Seriously!! Quick!

Today, my friends and I decided to have some waffles while we were in Northbridge. I felt super adventurous trying to find this place since it is tucked away in an alley and so it is quite easy to miss. The decorations of this little gem of a dessert shop was very simple and super duper cute. I loved everything about the interior from the mugs hanging down to the cute vintage bottles we had on our tables.

A tiny spot hidden in Northbridge but always packed! It's not hard to see why once you've tried their waffles. Simply delicious and perfect for any time of the day. I honestly think this place is over hyped. The waffles aren't even that good? We had a s'mores waffle and it just tasted like cream with a tiny bit of chocolate. The waffles are soft and not crispy. The drinks are better, friend got a matcha lattè (hot) and it tastes good, I got an ice matcha lattè and it just taste like milk with ice and some powder on top. It's super hot inside, not sure if they are investing in air con or choose not to use it...

The waffles here are made fresh. Toppings were okay. Waffles were mediocre – I think a perfect waffle should be crispy on the outside and light and fluffy on the inside. This one was a bit softer and soggier than what I would have liked. I like the idea of a dessert place in Perth that’s also opened at night until late. I also like the idea of a place which specialises in waffles. To be completely honest I do prefer Gelare’s waffles.

Can't decide whether i want the cold or hot matcha latte. What i do know is i want matcha latte. Solution was: order both :D so here we have hot vs cold matcha latte. Its actually up to your tasting but the cold one have ice cream :) delicious. Waffles are standard but nutella and cream just cannot go wrong.

Personally i enjoy the smores waffle, and the sweetened milk waffle, not so much the peanut butter waffle as it was way too sweet. The service is average, sometimes a long wait, but servings are huge, i normally share 1 waffle with whoever im with. Some interesting combos, nice atmosphere down the little lane way

I haven't been in ages ever since they first opened. The waffles were fresh and crispy. The topping however was so disappointing! I chose the one with berry compote and biscuit crumble. The amount of crumble was probably half a teaspoon and the maple syrup tasted like the cheaper kind. For $11.50, I expected a lot more. I won't be returning anytime soon.

My favourite choice on the menu will always be the warm apple pie. The waffles were always served fresh, warm and with the right amount of toppings. In the group, we usually shared one serve of waffle between two people. Superstar Waffles also serves a good ice green tea and taro latte.

Very cute and quirky spot in Northbridge to satisfy your sweet tooth. The menu is exactly what you'd expect from a waffle shop + a few creative flavours. Bit on the expensive side but the serving size is above average for a dessert, so I don't recommend going here after a filling meal.

Waffle-gasm! Must go to dessert place after dinner at Northbridge. My all time fav is hot apple pie waffles, they are divine! Perth needs more places like this that provides good food and opens till late. Service is hit and miss, depends on who you get really but all in all I like it and would recommend it.

Had heard great reviews and the menu looked very promising but I just wasn't impressed with this joint; it was all quite average to me. Ordered the Banoffee waffle with ice-cream but they forgot to add my scoop of ice-cream on! The waffle itself was mediocre – I believe a good waffle should have a deliciously crispy exterior and, unfortunately, this one let me down. Other than that, the flavours were good. Not sure if I'd go back.

Love everything about superstar waffles! Waffles are light and fluffy and just the right portion sizes too. Well priced and the decor is quite nice, tucked away from the Main Street too which is nice if you're after a little quiet atmosphere.

One of the best places to go for waffles in Perth. I had the S'mores waffles which was really good and nicely balanced with the icecream. You won't be bored with the menu here as they have a number of interesting flavours like peanut butter mousse waffle, sweet milk waffle and also warm apple pie waffle. Highly recommended if you love your waffles!

Have their green tea lattes. Just do it! :) a bit inconsistent with the waffles, it really depends who makes it. Also they really need to do something about their ventilation so you don't feel like you have waffles stuffed up your nose, but I still always go back for their matcha lattes.

Banoffee pie waffle with extra ice cream for $13 was delicious. It's great that they put the maple syrup on the side so you can control how sweet you want it to be. We were lucky to score a table at 10pm on a Saturday night because it was busy. Service was pretty slow, took 20mins just for one waffle. Good customer service and will be back again for more.

Tucked in a alley way. Did not even know where it was till a friend brought me there. Just even before you enter the cafe, the aroma of the waffles is so enticing, making you wanting to eat even if you are not hungry. Small little cafe with limited tabled and chairs. Tried their taro beverage and I must say it looks visually nice, and it wasted nice as well. They have a variety of waffles and I tried the one with fruits on it. Nice waffles ! My friends and I managed to finish it despite just having to dinner earlier. Nice hangout place. But I guess on weekend might be tough to get seating.

The place was cutely decorated but however terrible lighting, we had to wait around 5 minutes to be served although it was just us at the counter. Another 15-20 minutes waiting for waffles when places that cook bacon and eggs and more complicated stuff only takes around 15, waffles were dry and burnt, did not like the texture, service couldn't be described as rude but rather cold, quickly served without a greeting and food heavily placed on table. Over priced waffles, will not be going back. P.S; over rated waffles .

We dropped by this place a couple of weeks back, after having dinner over at Viet Hoa. The shop is tiny but the menu packs a punch. There are some interesting options available, including a warm green tea latte, iced purple taro latte, and a variety of new and creative beverages. They have a nice selection of teas as well. One of us chose the Russian Caravan, which had a lovely, smoky aroma. The long black was above average. I had the green tea latte and the cold taro latte. I enjoyed both but felt at the end that I would have preferred switching the style, i.e. a warm taro latte and a iced green tea latte, as those temperatures may have suited the flavours better. I'll be back to try them again the other way around! Overall I thought the offerings were really original and I'm looking forward to returning to try their waffle menu.

Taro latte + peanut butter waffles. We came in as a group on the weekend when it was pouring cats and dogs. The latte was yum but when you reach the bottom of the glass it gets gluggy. My waffles were too crunchy on the surface and batter saltier than usual. I have been in here twice before, when the owners made my waffles instead. Those were great back then. Hope I get to catch them again next time for the dreamy waffles I remember so fondly.

Food is okay, not amazing.. Firstly, I'm not a huge fan of waffles so it would have to be absolutely incredible to satisfy me - which it wasn't. Shared the Peanut Butter Mouse and the Berrylicious waffles with a friend. Both the toppings (Peanut Butter mousse and warm berry compot) were very tasty, but there wasn't nearly enough cream/topping/sauce/maple syrup to offset the dryness of the waffles and get that perfect ratio. Also ordered the Matcha Latte and Taro Latte, which were interesting and tasty but a little bit too sweet for me. Overall, left with a feeling of overindulgence and sickly-sweetness - probably won't be back.

No more get out of jail free cards.....shame.. My partner loves this place. If she is angry at me for drinking all weekend until the early hours of the morning this will sort her out. But things have changed (I am still with my partner if your wondering). They do a nice variety of waffles here and some flavours you cannot get anywhere else. My favourite is the Peanut Butter Waffle. So it has the waffle, ice cream, maple syrup and cream. The best thing about this is they also have a smooth peanut better paste on the waffle which I love. Let’s focus on the waffle. I am a very nosy person generally so I pay attention to how they make the waffle. In Hong Kong they fan the waffle to cool it quickly so it becomes much crispier. This is essentially what they do and the waffles are fantastic. So things have changed. I went there a couple of nights ago and it seemed like there was a change in personnel. Firstly the waffle was fanned but very briefly and with minimal use of strength. Unsurprisingly the waffle came out not as good as it was previously. The waffle was slightly soggy and the ice cream melted much quicker. Definitely not to the standard as it was before. Still better than Gelares but what isn’t? Now the service. When you serve someone food you bring them knives and forks right? Nope. I asked for knives and forks and the waitperson pointed at a spot right next to her where it was allegedly kept and walked away. Well firstly it was your job to bring it in the first place and secondly you are right next to it so pass us a couple. Its what you get paid to do right? Secondly we went up to get them and there was one left so I asked for another one then she grabbed some newly cleaned knives and forks. Not saying her hands were dirty but she basically just wiped them off her very (sarcastic tone) clean jeans and handled the knives and forks in the area where I basically would put in my mouth. Horrible customer service. Went to eat waffles today with my friend , and a lady who was emotionally distressed came in to the store and started to verbally attack me and my friend. The male waiter did not offer ANY help and instead just stood there watching. Never has anything like this happened to me before and didn't know how to react except to feel shock and was even more shocked when the male waiter didn't do anything to help the situation. Burnt to a crisp... just like my hopes of finding a good waffle. Went here during a weekday and I was the only person in the store. It took 30mins to give me my order (of 1x waffle with strawberries) and when I finally got it the waffle was burnt on the bottom to the point where it had gone rock hard. When you are ordering something - In this case waffles - and you wish to take the crushed peanuts from the order and replace them with sprinkles, which are the same price on the menu, you wouldn't think it should be an issue? Wrong! The cashier said it wouldn't be a problem, however the person next to him (rudely ignoring us) said "no, no, we don't do substitutions, you have to pay for extras". While I can appreciate different restaurant policies, the way it was handled was insanely rude and non diplomatic, when asked why he just ignored the question and just said "so, You want to add sprinkles?" And was unhappy when we said no. Not to mention watching food being prepared without gloves after touching money and cleaning tables The waffles were good but I was pretty disappointed with the whole experience really. Would rather eat somewhere that have more accommodating staff.

S'mores Waffle. More crispy than fluffy when it comes to the waffles, and the toppings don't aid the taste overwhelmingly which may be a good thing. However I would not call this a s'mores waffle - tastes far away from it. The chocolate bit you see in the photo, is pretty much the only bit of chocolate in this whole plate. 6.8/10 - it doesn't taste bad, it looks good, but is only mediocre. I suppose the atmosphere makes up for it?

Ehh. The waffles are nice and fancy, not much for what you pay for though and not 'to die for' but nice. The service was terrible, it was quiet and they weren't doing anything when we got there but there was still plates on the table outside which would take anyone just two seconds to grab. You could tell they just wanted you served, fed then out. Nothing to rave about so won't be going back.

Found this little place on a night out. The staff were just plain rude, we ordered the smo'res waffles to share with Nutella on the side due to allergies and they were confused as to why we asked for no Nutella. Despite the waffles being tasty the atmosphere in the place was uncomfortable as the staff were sniggering and playing on their phones the whole time. Shame as it could be a happening little place in Northbridge.

Best Waffles in Perth. I don't know why there are so many reviews saying the service is bad. I have been there 3 times and found the service to be great, the staff are friendly and invite you to take a menu and a seat when you walk in, and then recommend waffles off the menu. One of them also talked to me about the pasta bar Francoforte across the corridor that was new and is now my favourite pasta restaurant in Perth. The waffles themselves are great, so good in fact I have not been able to try anything else other than the S'mores waffle to date (apart from stealing bites of my friends waffles) and they have always been great. Highly recommended and I will be going there again!

LOVE the waffles, HATE the service. Seriously, does it hurt for the staff to smile? Or at least not grunt at you? I have been to SuperStar Waffles 3 times and have enjoyed the waffles to my full extent. Love the waffle with the toffee. But the staff is another story. 1 time I ordered the waffles, sat down and after glacing at the menu was intrigued with the tea. So I went to the counter to order a tea. When the staff member saw me walking up to her and "bother" her, she decided to let out a grunted noise with a frown on her face. Wow, seriously wow to the service. If it was not for the service I would be a loyal customer and go there more often. But just imaging being served and feel like you are interrupting the staff makes we go elsewhere.

One handy tip for the staff - a smile wouldn't go astray! While the welcome isn't particularly warm, it hasn't deterred us from gorging on their delicious waffles. With a perfectly crunchy exterior and light, fluffy inside, you can't go wrong with any of their amazing creations (the bannoffee is a favourite). The perfect end to a delicious evening!

Awesome every damn time!. I have been here many times and loved it every time. After going just a couple of days ago, after a rather lackluster burger experience, I ordered the Warm Apple Pie waffle, with ice cream! Freaking awesome! My friends ordered the Banoffee Waffle and were also raving about it. Personally, it's still my favourite too but I've got to try different ones. Staff are always friendly, even on a busy Friday night. Will be back, many times I'm sure.

Good. The menu has a decent amount of varied dessert options including beverages and waffles. The waffles have very pretty and creative plating but in my opinion the taste is only average on every occasion I have been. I can't think of anything else to describe the flavour and tastes other than 'decent'. Despite this, the ambience is nice and the employees are also friendly. Overall, feels a little too hyped for what it is but it was still a relatively enjoyable dining experience.

A great dessert hangout place whenever we are in Northbridge. However, i often find myself worrying if there is a table available for us as it is such a small place and often crowded. The waffles are always yummy when they are beautifully baked with crisps on the sides. Great selections on the menu. Iced taro and green milk teas are A-must order if it is your first time visiting super★ waffles. P.s. they only accept cash. So remember to bring along some spare coins!!

Umm yum?!. Fully expected this place to be super hipster-pretentious laneway style... not the case! Quaint little place in the alley, not much room in there, but we nabbed a little table and ordered the Peanut Butter Mousse waffle and a Chocolate waffle. No complaints with the service... you order at the counter so it's not really somewhere to expect you will be 'looked after' or anything... order your waffle, sit down, eat, it's not that hard! Waffles are so LIGHT (yes, light!) and fresh. The toppings.... not so 'lite'... but delicious and indulgent. The PB one was awesome. I rolled out about 20 mins later very satisfied. Yes, it's called 'Superstar Waffles', so it kind of claims to be 'superstar', but a waffle is a waffle... its pretty much bound to be good.

Good food, shame about the service.... The waffles were great if overpriced. The service however was absolutely terrible. Upon arrival all the staff behind the counter chatted among themselves while my partner and I waited at the counter. After ordering the girl serving us slung the plates along the table at us and walked off without so much as a word. We were baffled and without cutlery which took another 5 minutes at the counter to get. I'm not normally a person to be bothered by service levels but this was borderline rude and the food could never make up for it.

Sure to get a Sugar Rush. Very nice and clean decor, mellow atmosphere. Seats are hard to get at peak hours since it is quite small. waffles are very delightful, however those who are savoury fans may find it sickening. LOVELY presentation, the syrup (and some over toppings) in a shot glass..genius ! Decent price (more on the higher end for waffles (if you are comparing to Gelare) ...you're looking at about ~$10.50 for a full waffle plate here). Serving size ..very good !! (you might have to share a plate) Waffles are crisp and fresh. Drinks are great, tried the iced matcha latte (pretty good, not to sweet, even with the icecream and a balanced matcha taste) Food comes out relatively fast here .. Staff are..quiet, however are nice and attentive when needed (they look very concentrated all the time which may come off a bit intimidating) Return? Yes.

We went here a few weeks ago and tried the smores and peanutbutter mousse waffles they were really delicious but u def get a suger high like a sick 5 yr old at the end of it. tried to go back with my colleagues a week later but the shop which was supposed to open at 1 didnt. which was disappoiting since trekked there during our lunch break and settled for gelare down the corner!

Disappointments. Disappointed with service for the first time in our many visits to superstar. went in last night to satisfy our regular waffles cravings but service end up to be horrendous. new staff (what seems like it, never seen her before) spilled our berrylicious waffles onto our peanut butter's without apologising. but thankfully, after making a slight complaint we were given a new waffle and additional ice cream to make up for it. new staff was also seen using the cream gun and our cream looks like a lump of crap. understand that it's usually very busy on weekends but if a new staff is unexperienced, should probably allow her to stick to the basics before making food for customers' consumption. then again, our peanut butter waffle is always the bomb. not coming back to superstar for awhile, but will always be thinking about the best peanut butter mousse in town.

Great waffles, great prices, even better opening hours. It's nice to have somewhere to go for a late night treat other than a generic chain store. My favorite Waffle is the Peanut Butter Mousse. The Maple Syrup in a shot glass is a great idea, as you can control how much you put on your waffle. Last time I tried the Apple Pie Waffle, it wasn't as good. A bit dry and bland, could have done with some sort of sauce. I would recommend ordering the Apple Pie Waffle with a side of ice-cream. Milkshakes are very disappointing, don't bother ordering one. Steep price for a below average drink. I haven't tried the coffee yet. Would definitely recommend, so many great Waffle options, I can't wait to try them all! A hidden Northbridge gem!

WAFFLES!. Actually not usually a fan of this type of food but gave it a go tonight after hearing good things. The service is very good and friendly. I shared a berrylicious waffle with the gf and washed it down with a iced coffee. The meal and drinks came out pretty quick. As I said I am not usually a fan as they seem to be an overly sweet desert but they seem to have got it right here. All the right flavours but not too much that you don't want more. Will be back.

I was pretty hyped up for my maiden dessert trip to superstar waffles tonight - but was greeted by an unfriendly bunch of servers in the shop who never even lifted their eyes to greet or acknowledge my presence at all when I walked into the store. I stood there for a minute or two, both me and my friend looking at each other & asking aloud a few times "oh, do we just go and find a seat?" (the place was slightly crowded yes, but I was standing right in front of the counter) finally we went to find a seat, sat down, cleared our own table, and then proceeded to decide what we wanted & went back to the counter to place our order. then again, the server didn't even look up and just asked for my order. when I asked what was their popular items, she finally looked up & asked huh? (without even a tinge of a friendly smile) so we went through taking the orders without a single smile or even a friendly tone from the server (just basically the look of stress all over the faces of the servers) it was slightly crowded but really, not that bad (not like a long queue of people or anything like that, there were like still 2 tables free kinda thing) so I didn't think it justified the stressful & unfriendly atmosphere. we had the peanut butter mousse waffles - and in my opinion, i had better waffles (even gelare's was better i feel) so nothing special there.... i did like the layout of the small cosy little place with the interior design of the place.

This place is definitely on my top 5 coffee shops list! It first caught my eye with the cute decor and I went back there with some friends after dinner one night. We ordered a banana toffee waffle and a sweet milk waffle and a iced green tea and taro latte. The waffles were light and fluffy and wasn't overly filling and the lattes were not too sweet but quite refreshing. It was a very good way to end the night and I have been back heaps of times already. The only thing was it was really busy and we had to wait 10 mins for a table but the staff didn't seem too helpful in that stance and we pretty much had to race to sit ourselves at an emptying table as another group who had arrived later than us try to steal it :/ but overall the food and decor of this place is nice

Visit 1- Arrived at 855pm and stood around before being told they were closed. Refused to do takeaway for us. Visit 2 - After some confusion w available tables (customers had to fight among themselves), tried the peanut butter waffle. This was quite good. Visit 3- we brought a friend for her first tm and we had the Oreo one which impressed us all. Visit 4- Sweet Milk waffle was so simple but a good dessert item after a big dinner. Excitedly tried the green tea latte, only to be served cool milk w a scoop of Peters vanilla ice cream and about a LEVEL toy teaspoon of macha powder. It's embarrassing they tried to pass it off as green tea latte. Visit 5- waited in line as usual and upon reaching the counter, was asked by the lady at the counter if we had a table. We said no because we never did when ordering. "oh you need to have a table otherwise you can't order." Safe to say we left the place in a jiffy and will not be returning again.

Mediocre. I was looking forward to trying this place. After two tries, arriving at their doorstep only to find them closed (think they are closed on two days of the week), you can imagine how I had highly anticipated my first visit. I was too full from dinner so only tried the waffle stick in the original flavour. It took quite long and the underside of the waffle had charcoal bits - they should probably have cleaned the waffle presser. The interior of the cafe was quite stuffy with the smell of waffles (not the fresh smell though) as there doesn't seem to be an exhaust. Will I come here specially for the waffles again? Probably not. It'll take a while to convince me for a second visit for their mains as it is quite pricey ($10 range) - they need to lower the price.

After having ordered waffles and drinks, only the drinks came but the waffles were no where to be seen for atleast 25mins. Funny thing was they only had 3 tables to serve and the whole shop was pretty much empty, they were so busy washing dishes and cleaning up that they forgot about our waffles until we had to walk up to the counter to ask about it. Wonderful waffles. I tried the chocolate waffle stick with chocolate ice cream since it was a first visit. The waffles was soft yet has a crunchy texture sprinkled with icing sugar...it was heavenly with the ice cream. Look out Gelare you have competition.... We tried the S'more and peanut butter waffles. The s'more lent more on the savoury side and the peanut butter...definitely an amazing creation and wasn't too sweet. The banofee pie looked amazing and would hit the sweet spot your after. Nice service too!

This lovely cafe is tucked in a little arcade and easy to miss but the good thing is it means that you have a chance to grab a seat as not too many people have discovered it.. yet! We ordered the waffle with condensed milk- delicious, golden light and fluffy waffles without being sickly sweet. The Japanese tea was delicious and a nice hot drink to sip on to cut the sugar of the waffles.. Plus free refills of the tea pot.. This place is a little bit delightful and definitely another cute edition to the hipster Northbridge area.

WAFFLESSSSSS. So headed down to Northbridge for some waffles for lunch on a Saturday arvo. Yes lunch! Very cute little cafe with friendly relaxed staff serving. We really wanted to try the Peanut butter mousse waffle, but they had run out which was very odd considering it was 12pm and had just opened. Anyways, we ended up having the warm apple pie waffle, banoffee waffle and the s'more waffle to share between us girls. We were very pleased with our choices and would recommend this place. Great waffles!. My husband & I were recently in Perth for a holiday and walked passed the shop. I haven't really seen any Belgium waffle place in Perth before so we thought we'd give it a go. The shop seemed to be very clean and I loved the decor, very retro. I'm not a person for chocolate so we shared a standard waffle with cream & maple syrup and some coffee. The waffle was really good! Comparable with what we've got down here in Sydney but a lot more REASONABLY priced!!! Summary: Great little place. Great food and the coffee wasn't half bad too @ the Perthian price.

After reading the previous review, and hearing how good the menu sounds, can't help but feel a little disappointed with what we had. Had the peanut butter n choolate ones, coz s'mores had sold out. The peanut butter one definitely didn't taste like a Reese peanut butter cup! More like 1/3 with cream 1/3 plain 1/3 peanut butter, chocolate one, had lots of chocolate but a teaspoon of cream, really could've done with more to break up choloate. Waffles themselves were really good light n fluffy. Service average at best but they were rather busy, but no excuse for serving half of another table, bringing us one serving the other Half of the other table then bringing us our second one, would've preferred to wait n get both at once!!

I have been daydreaming about superstar waffles. In a small arcade off William St in Northbridge (close to Jus Burgers and down the arcade to Ezra Pound) is this amazing find! Came on a Friday afternoon and with a few friends for a pre-dinner waffle (as you do!). We shared the s'mores waffle and the peanut butter one, both were amazing! The s'mores was like melted marshmallow fluff (the owners said they make it themselves!) and the peanut butter one was like the insides of a Reece's peanut butter cup. Soooo amazing!! I'm a little hesitant about telling too many people in case it becomes too popular but it was almost too good not to.

Our first selection was the S’mores waffles, their take on the choc marshmallow treat. We added ice cream for a little extra. The waffles was nicely done with some crispness to it, and the marshmallow was fantastic. A great sweet treat. We’re rather fond of banoffe and it was an easy choice off the menu. The bananas were nice and ripe and had lots of flavour. We added ice cream to this too, which was a good addition but there really wasn’t enough toffee to bring it all together. If there’s going to be toffee, you really need to be generous with it. As with the S’mores the waffles were well done, light, crisp, fresh and hot. Superstar Waffles is perfect to satisfy that sweet craving, just make sure you don’t get there before 1pm!

This experience marked my first time trying marshmallow fluff, something I have been intrigued about for some time, but unaware that it could be bought anywhere near to where I live. There are some great places around William Street and I would definitely say Northbridge offers more than just clubs and bars these days! Finally! Superstar Waffles is a new dessert shop to hit the scene and it is tucked away in Arcade 189. Attention to detail is all over this cafe from the random messages on the chalkboard to the way the waffles are delicately prepared with nothing but sweet love. It was great to dine in at a place where so much effort is made in ensuring the customer is happy and satisfied. Warm Apple Pie Waffles $10.00 was enough to buy a waffle and so we decided to share the Warm Apple Pie one which was served with stewed apples, muesli, cream, vanilla ice cream and maple syrup. The waffle itself was light and spongy. I am a lover of waffles since travelling to Paris and this one was delicious. I couldn’t help but get excited when I heard about Superstar Waffles in Northbridge. Superstar Waffles is located at the back of the 189 Arcade on William Street in Northbridge. I’ve been to Shop 8 a few times now, and each time I go there is a different cafe and concept. Superstar Waffles is a little establishment that is dedicated to making exciting waffles. It also features a large range of T2 teas, milkshakes and coffees for you to sip on while you eat. The melted butter and condensed milk was a yummy combination on my warm freshly cooked sweet milk waffle stick. Was the perfect portion too – just enough for me to have a taste...Waffles were under $10 and the sticks were under $5, which I thought was really reasonable considering a scoop of ice-cream in Perth these days cost up to $5.

My first bite presented amazingly delicious, crispy yummy waffles. I opted for the strawberry waffle with chocolate sauce and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. This is a feel good dessert and I loved every bite of it.

My pick for the night was the peanut butter mousse and Oreo waffle. I really like what I had there. The peanut butter mousse was light, airy and not sickening. For me, it was perhaps a little less rich than I would like it to be.

Superstar waffles! What better way to spend a chilly weekend afternoon than in a tucked away waffle shop in Northbridge. Superstar Waffles is beaming with cuteness and little bit harajuku. The menu filled with savoury and sweet waffles (whether it's the normal waffle way or on a stick!). You can even have the waffle with ice-cream! They also make hot drinks, coffees, teas, hot chocolate and milkshakes.

I managed to order the Iced Matcha Green Tea Latte. It tasted as nice as it looked! Milky and creamy green tea, with a slight bitter taste to it and not too sweet.
