Love it! Food is good. Rendang and ayam pedas is the best. I also got to drink my favourite teh botol😊

An absolutely horrible experience! I have been a patron for the last 6 years and it has recently been taken over by new management. The place is dirty, stinky, falling apart, literally had some ceiling falling off, the toilets look like they havent been cleaned for god knows how long ( like ever!!) Looks like the only patrons are the rats as we heard squeaking the whole time we were there!!! Food is awful to say the least! An absolutely petrifying experience! DO NOT GO! SAVE YOUR MONEY! That place needs to be torn down! Disgusting!

Very disappointed! When I made the booking, I specifically asked for somewhere warm and we were placed in a cold room, which required a lot of maintenance. Combined with no other customers in the room, it certainly lacked atmosphere. The waitress disappeared for a long time and we were left waiting when we wanted to ask questions about the menu, even though there wasn't many people in the entire restaurant. The food was also very disappointing. The beef rendang didn't have a nice flavour and had only two pieces of meat. Since we were sharing we ended up having only one piece of meat each. The Nasi Goreng had very little in it apart from rice and a rubbery fried egg on top. All the food was luke warm/cold, which didn't make sense since there was hardly one in the restaurant. The fact there was a handful of customers at 7pm on a Saturday night, should have given it away for us. Needless to say, we don't plan to go back.

Great food. When they say it's spicy, it sure is. Nice cozy atmosphere. But, disappointing that they took themselves off the 2016/17 Entertainment book without notice. At least good enough to honour the 25% anyway.

Place feels dirty and run down. Toilets are wet and dark. Food flavour is good and authentic but atmosphere is severely lacking. If the place is imitating a dirty "kampong" style eatery then it has achieved it.
Kelvin A S (askelvin)
asked for beef rendang, but they don't have enough beef. never had such quick thinking waitress, she suggest to have ½ beef & ½ fried chicken. no regrets the food so good
Sylvia Sippl
The food was really delicious although many menu items were not available on the night we attended. The front porch is a great place to sit and watch the world go by.

The restaurant is nice because they have some divided rooms feels like at home. The foods are beautiful. Staffs are nice and very helpful. Love it!

Not too sure if the reviews on here are correct !!!check the picture of the meal out 🤔.. Possibly the worst Nasi we have had. We popped in for a lunch midweek . The restaurant was not busy, however the wait time was ridiculous. We tried to order two dishes but we were told unavailable. No problem we decided Nasi Goreng Yam special, and another dish. Only cool drinks they have is Fanta and Coke !! After sipping on tap water for approx 20mins we were served up the Nasi . The chicken drum stick honestly look like it was a month old and terribly dry. Don't zoom in on the drumstick 🤢 in the picture...The Nasi was just red rice with a spice . After waiting another 10mins and I still had not received my meal we left . We complained and were charged $10 . What a let down ..

Ordered upon arrival. Was with a large party who were sharing. I had to have a separate meal due to dietary needs. They all got served and I had to wait until they were almost finished before receiving my meal after enquiring where it was. I didn't get to finish it as we due to see a Show. I was there 1 and a 1/2 hours so I found the service completely unacceptable. Also the dish did not have all the ingredients I would normally expect it to have.

Such a disappointment! We used to love getting takeaway from here but since the new owners have taken over it's gone way, way down hill. The prices have gone up, the serving sizes are significantly smaller and the quality was appalling. The Nadi Goreng was SWEET with some kind of packet satay sauce. My husbands crispy chicken had enough chilli for 20 meals in one - and he loves hot food. And to top it off - they wouldn't accept the entertainment book voucher due to 'new owners'. We won't be returning.

Another late night UberEats (by bicycle this time) Grabbed a Mee goreng, Beef Rendang Daging with steamed rice and an entree of Pangsit Goreng 5 fried wontons. the Mee goreng in my mind was just average, nothing too special but still tasty. The beef was really good, plenty of sauce packed with flavour. The only thing they could better was if the beef was a tiny bit more tender, enough to break up with a fork, not a knife. Overall its got me looking at more Indonesian restaurants now as the food was pretty good!

I ordered takeaway seafood mi goreng. It's so sweet becomes over powering. Also said no fried onion and they still added it. The veggies are shrivelled old tasteless rubbish bin worthy along with the prawns. Nothing in this tasted fresh. Do not order this dish! Look through the photos and see what people have enjoyed for them to have a high rating because what I received was not good at all.

I used UberEATS and got this. Not the restaurants fault at all, but perhaps they should consider deliveroo instead.
Eatingismyhobby
Extremely polite and friendly staff here, and nice atmosphere. The food came out promptly, I had the beef rendang, company had spicy fried chicken and Nadi goreng. I enjoyed the beef rendang, however the beef could have been more tender. There wasn't much chicken on the chicken dish, mostly bone. The Nasi goreng was average. I've been to better Indonesian places in Perth, for cheaper prices such as the Sparrow Indonesian in East Perth.

Good, chilled byo spot in Northbridge. The staff is relaxed and casual and you can entertain a large crowd. Would highly recommend. The main meals are very good value. Don't expect fine dining but come for the atmosphere

Fantastic service, amazing food with individual tastes. Too many times I have been somewhere where the food has tasted the same...not here.
The guy who served us went out of his way to ensure my wife's food allergies were accommodated for. To the point of bringing out the bottles of sauces they used to ensure they didn't clash.
Don't miss a chance to visit this unassuming location with tight service and spectacular food.
It won't be the last time I'll visit 👍🏻
Renato
Really great food and simple, casual venue. The beef rendang and the crispy fried chicken were amazing. Such good food for the price. Yum!!!

Been here twice and both times very satisfied with the food and the service. The food was fresh and authentic and reasonably priced. The service was friendly and efficient. The restaurant is set in an old little house; the atmosphere has a rustic, old charmed and authentic feel.
Rach
Love the location but lacks any kind of atmosphere. No music and no interaction from staff. We hadn't even finished our entrees before the mains appeared on table. The food was average ... but frankly we would prefer to seek out somewhere with more customer focus.
Hippo309
Best. Soto ayam. Ever. Love love love the soto ayam here. Also at a reasonable price. I usually have mine with lots and lots of chilli. Great service too!

Tasik was OK, I will just say OK as what should you expect for such cheap prices?
We received very small portions, and was food was mediocre, it wasn't particularly bad but the meat in my dish was black, and another meal we ordered was not enjoyed by my friend. The starters we ordered were lovely though. I just feel as though we left hungry and that is not what is wanted when going out to pay for a dinner.
Terry Howlett
Disappointing. I had the lumpia and the capcay. The lumpia was tasteless and overcooked. The capcay was bland and lacked the complexity i associate with indonesian food.

Love Tasik! We have been coming here for years and love the food and Tony who always makes us feel so welcome. Nasi goreng, satay, bakmi goreng and endang duging is amazing :)
Jade Kalalo
Bakmi Goreng. Awesome lunch special..I love this restaurant. .food is delicious.

Always reliable. Been here a few times and will keep coming. Unpretentious, good value, Indonesian food like you would get it in an Indonesian street café. Service is excellent and very friendly. BYO with no charge.
Jennifertaylor
Nice. My husband and I had a lovely BYO dinner at Tasik on Sunday night. Food is very reasonably priced and tastes great. The staff are lovely and very willing to accommodate to special requests. Tasik has a nice ambience all round.

Delicious Nasi Goreng Ayam!. Always go to this restaurant everytime I miss foods from my home country, taste very good, price affordable and always satisfied! Nasi Goreng ( Fried Rice ) very yummy...come with piece of fried chicken...prawn crackers...sambal chili ( if you like spicy! ). Oxtail soup also delicious :D
Hippokathy88
Yummy Indonesian food. We had dinner for 6 last night and was super happy about our meals! The service was pleasant and food came out very fast. We ordered 8 dishes (2 entree, 6 mains) between the 6 of us and with the discount from the entertainment voucher food came to $119, with mains ranging from $13-19 and $10 for entrees. My personal favourite gotta be the ox tail soup and the grilled fish. Ox tail was cooked to perfection, so tender with a good amount of fat. The grilled fish was crispy and flavoursome. The beef rendang was also great with flaky beef and a drool-worthy thick gravy. We had a really good time and definitely would come back!
Moomin Girl
Food (gado gado) was inedible. Had a burnt, bitter taste. Vegetables soggy and overcooked. Rice gluggy and chewy. Never again.
Bubble N Squeak
Cheap, cheerful, great acoustics for large group meals, scrumptious flavours, good portion sizes, excellent value, especially with entertainment card (up to three can be used with large bookings). We walked out totally satisfied for less than $16 each. BYO only. Toilets a but run down but, who cares?! Better than most loos in Asia! :-)

I like Tasik I've been three times over the past few years the most recent was this month and each time it has delivered delicious Indonesia food that is amazingly priced. Well done Tasik keep up the good work
Searching Decent Asian Eateries
Not for Asians especially Indonesians. The food been westernised. If you looking for real Indonesian food, you'll be hugely disappointed. The 'Nasi Goreng' just so wrong and that's the only dish that any Indonesian can and should get right. The service amazing, but then again most Indonesian restaurants are wonderful that way. I'll only recommend this place to people who can't eat anything spicy.

DELICIOUS!. Lovely environment, kind staff willing to help and advice about the food. Good portions and tasty Indonesian specialties... Make sure you leave room for dessert!

I have been here many times for lunch and it has never disappoint. Good food good value. All the lunch sets are good.

The food are always delicious and friendly service even they're quite busy :)

Love it. Love the food especially the beef curry, but the decor could use some work.
Sophie
I LOVE TASIK. Do your self a favour and go, the food is amazing, the staff even better... BYO Brilliant

Tasikmalayan cuisine. Everytime I've been to Tasik I've enjoyed myself and walk out satisfied. Atmosphere is authentic Indonesian; a true rumah makan (eating house) where it's like you have been invited over for dinner. Staff are always friendly but it's not 5 star service, however you don't expect that here. Food is great, pricing is perfect. BYO is a great option as beer is essential for Indo food. There are authentic dishes for those of Indonesian background or travellers, as well as dishes that suit every tame palette. I've been here for just with my boyfriend as well as a table of 12 and is perfect each time.
Whine N Diner
Had dinner at Tasik on Fri and it was quite busy when we arrived. The waiter who led us to our table seemed extremely rushed and he made us feel rushed too (though he probably didn't mean to do that)! The food was nothing to write home about. In fact, we felt that it wasn't very tasty and it lacked flavour. Had dinner at Indonesia Indah the night after and as an Indonesian, I was left much more satisfied with the food at Indah.

Good choice. Looking for a place to eat in Northbridge pre-cinema we leafed through our Entertainment Book and settled on Tasik. So glad we did. We arrived a little before their opening time of 6pm and the waiter kindly let us in to sit at a table and peruse the menu while they completed their start-up.
So many delicious sounding dishes to choose from, it was difficult but in the end we decided on the sate kambing, lumpiah, bihun goreng Tasik and the ayam gulai. They were all good picks.
The sate kambing were tasty and tender, the lumpiah crisp and full of filling. As we were sharing we asked if we could have four of each instead of three as stated on the menu, it was no problem. The rice noodles were delicious with lots of vegetables, chicken and some nice, just cooked prawns, but the standout was the tender chicken curry. Served on the bone, it was so tender we could remove the meat with a spoon, and the gravy so yummy we ate every drop.
One small quibble was that our ordered drinks did not arrive but the waiter was very apologetic and we were not charged for them.
Even without our Entertainment Book voucher this meal would have been good value at $46 for two, for two courses. We left full to bursting :-) and will definitely return.
Get_in_my_belly
Very tasty, good service!. Bargain meal for Date Night... used our Entertainment Book voucher as we had been wanting to try this place for a while, and its always an incentive to get a discount. Entrees were really good... could have eaten double. We had the wontons and the crispy coated prawns. They were delicious... sharing the prawns with the BF was very hard! For main (apologies that I can't remember the Indo names!) the BF had the chicken (sort of char-grilled) and I had the beef curry. The beef curry I ordered was not available so I just had the other beef curry listed. Glad I did, it was SO yum. The beef was so tender I didnt even need a knife. BF loved his chicken with capsicum/chilli... but loved my beef more and kept trying to steal the delish gravy. Service is very authentic and friendly. The place is missing ONE thing! Music! We had a nice little seat in the front patio, but as the restaurant was pretty empty (around 6pm) we could hear everything the other diners were saying... gotta have some music on date night...

Good value for money. Was there Friday evening with some friends for a birthday.
Very friendly staff. I am not a fan of very spicy foods so I didn't taste all the dishes but there was not much left. Satay sticks were a bit small but tasty, not over heavy on the peanut unlike some places. Noodles were really good.
Some of the servings sizes were a bit smaller than other places but on the other hand, they were very well priced. Comments from the others were all good especially on one of the hotter chicken dishes (A small taste from me was enough to reach for 2 glasses of water !!).
Rosie
Tasty, cheap & friendly. A bunch of us went there for an after work meal. The food was tasty & plentiful (although the flavour of the beef rendang wasn't as intense as I like). As we had an Entertainment Book voucher, it was only about $15 per main course.

The service was friendly and attentive and the surroundings were quite pleasant (it's in an old house, so relatively private i.e. only 3 tables in the room we were in).

Wide selections on the menu, value for money and awesome on taste.

BEST FOOD I'VE HAD IN PERTH!

We had walked by this restaurant many times before trying it finally tonight. Don't let the appearance of the building fools you, food is fantastic!!
We had Lumpiah (Indonesian sprig rolls) and Udang Panir (breadcrumb fried prawns) as entrees, speechless, so tasty! I'm not a prawn fan but couldn't help try them.

I ordered Bakmi Goreng without prawn and fish ball because dont like seafood, happy to see that portion was huge and perfectly cooked.

Boyfriend had Endang Daging, I tried it and OMG! Beef was so tender that melted in my mouth, menu says its spicy but you can ask for mild gravy instead.
We brought out own bottle of wine was we read on Internet that it was BYO and we were expecting to be charge for corkage but when we got the bill we realised that they don't charge you for that! Our bill came to $42 dollars! So cheap!

Defo we'll go back!!

Lovely setting and friendly service.. Friendly service although the staff were obviously busy. Food was not at all spicy, so if you like spice you'll need to ask for it. Definitely worth a visit, especially if you have an entertainment book voucher. Dry fried fish was the best of the dishes we had.

Went here for dinner last night with a couple of friends & a few bottles of wine (it's byo)... Had a great evening!
Food here was amazing, traditional Indonesian full of flavours!
Loved the peanut sauce! It's also pretty cheap so you can order so much & try a bit of everything :)
The atmosphere was great here and everyone around us seemed to be having a lovely night aswell.
loved the decor, a little old house in the middle of Northbridge, sitting in the living room eating dinner by the fire, it was just lovely!
The service was great when we got their attention, it was a full house & there only seemed to be a couple of wait staff but maybe someone called in sick or something so it was no big deal as when they did come over they were very pleasant & helpful!

Overall a great night! Would highly recommend :)
Fifi-la-femme
My husband and I love Tasik! The food is amazing and Halal too. We went again tonight and had lamb satay to share (so delicious that we ended up ordering another serve at the end of the meal!), I had soto ayam/chicken soup which is my staple, my husband had fried rice with chicken/nasi goreng ayam. The only downfall is that I don't live within 10 minutes of this place otherwise I would give up cooking for good.
Nory Soffian
Good food, friendly staff. I love the food here, good taste, friendly staff, price is not so bad
would definitely come back often (:
Person
Very ordinary. I've been there twice and asked for my dish to be extra extra spicy/pedas and both times they served an extra bowl of cut red chilli, AND made me pay extra for it. Indonesian food is supposed to be spicy and the chilli should be cooked in the wok with the dish! Will not be going back here again.
Luuuc
Above average - Just. I *want* to like this place more than I actually *do* like it. Have been 3 times, with the staff always friendly and the food always ok but just short of being something I would readily recommend to others. It's close, and the prices are reasonable, but I think just a little bit of tweaking would elevate many of the dishes from "Nice but I could do this myself" to "Now that was a well-price, tasty meal".
I know I'll be back again though, which to me is the bottom line.
Wisatakuliner
Ordinary food. The food in this restaurant is nothing special. They charged a pot of tea $6.00 what a ripped off. We went once, never returned.
Michelle Thomsen
Lovely find.. Seafood noodles were delicious and the Nasi Goreng was a bit dry. Satay sticks were lovely Excellent service. Will go again.
HungryHungryHippo
The food was FANTASTIC!! The servings are a good size. 2 people can share 2 mains easily! Very friendly staff!
V
Smallest servings ever!! The waiters are nice though.
RB
Not bad. Friendly service and no corkage. Cheap, but paying for what you get as the mains are fairly small.

Food was average, prices were slightly above average for Indonesian food but understandable given the location. Service was atrocious, no excuses there. A couple of friends and I were seated at a small table, with barely enough room to fit the dishes. The waitress did not clear the wineglasses despite us not having brought any, further cluttering the cramped table (the waitresses would also hover wordlessly with the dishes they came to serve until one of us noticed there wasn't enough room and moved to clear a space. Later towards the end of the meal, I accidentally knocked one of the wineglasses over. While I was annoyed the staff never bothered to clear the wineglasses after taking the orders knowing we did not need them, the clumsiness was entirely my fault. However, when we went to pay the bill, when I informed them of the broken glass (no waitress had attended to us since we dropped the glass and no one entered the room in the five minutes after), the person behind the counter said 'oh don't worry' dismissively, not even looking up. Then, I noticed that there was already an entry labelled 'wine glass' in the bill. Apparently, one of the staff must have peeked in upon hearing the glass shatter, and instead of offering to help clear up the shards of glass, simply walked off to add it to the bill. Insultingly, they were already tallying the items on the bill before I even mentioned that I'd broken a glass. They hadn't thought of mentioning that they were aware of it or even that they were charging us for it! Utterly reprehensible behavior. I will not be going back any time soon, nor do I recommend anyone else.

Cheap and nasty. We used to like this place when it was a Thai restaurant but now it's changed hands and cuisine, it's pretty dire. The food was barely food-hall standard (we're vego so ordered a tofu dish and a gado-gado). Service was mistimed as they brought the mains about 1 minute after the (very hot) spring roll entree, so we'd had no chance to eat the latter.
Staff tried to be attentive but they just got things wrongly timed. Could have forgiven them if the food had been more acceptable.
Don't go there!
Harry Carr
PERTH ASIAN FOOD AND CULTURE GROUP. We attended this restaurant on 1/9/12. The staff are very friendly, and we had a very enjoyable night. There were 13 people attended, we ordered 7 entree's, and 17 main's, 6 desserts, drinks all round, and cost was $28.00 per person. The food is very traditional, Next time, we need to order 2 of each dish, as it was so nice.

The owners provided photo's of menu, that i have placed on the photo page - thanks Harry

Awesome Indo. Been going here for years, not once have I had a bad meal and so cheap and staff are the friendliest in town!

Not Happy. While the Food was authentic in flavour, the decor and service was miserable.
Plaster coming off one wall large crackes in another, not sure if the building is condemed or not??
One of our guests was overlooked when ordering and the waiter just left, then the wrong Satay disk was brought out and one dish not even make an appearance.
Very dissapointing and Im not sure I would return.

Best Indo Food in Town!. Tasik does the most amazing Nasi Goreng that I have ever had the pleasure of introducing to my taste buds. There are few places in Perth that give me intense cravings for their specialty dishes, but Tasik is one of them.

Nice, homely atmosphere, generous and delicious authentic Indonesian cuisine at great value.
Bmi
Maybe I just selected the wrong dish but I was honestly served some sliced chicken swimming in thick soy sauce! No thanks.
Lazysusan
A pleasant accidental find whose decor and location drew us in. Had to flag down the service staff each time (even for menus), but they were always friendly. Food was delicious and well priced.
Babegirl
Consistent Gr8 food, and Gr8 Service. We are the regularly costumer since 2008, every time we went there never be disappointed!! The food is ALWAYS GOOD, the staffs are ALWAYS KIND & FRIENDLY!! After trying most of the restaurant in Perth, Tasik is always our best choice!!!
N. Dorfin
A quietish place in hectic Northbridge.. An interesting-enough building that gives the chance to eat a fairly cheap meal somewhere a bit different. A good selections of vegetarian dishes. Me and the missus want to go again sometime, she gave it 7/10 and I gave it 7.5.
Nathan Fickling
Amazing!. I have been here 3 times and it has never failed to impress, they should be charging more...free byo ftw!
Perth's Hungriest Man
Group Meal. Went for dinner at Tasik with a big group of friends. We were seated on a long table and everyone ordered their entres and dishes. I had the Indonesian Spring rolls, and bbq squid main. The BBQ squid main was a bit small and I felt not worth the $17. Service was OK - meals came out in a very random order although i guess we were a big table - 2 meals from our group did not come out until we reminded staff.

Quality of food was OK. Wouldn't mind if we had to return however wouldn't be my first pick in the city.
Pwr1978
Meh.. The food was okay, not brilliant. I suspect it contained a lot of MSG based upon the unsettled night and weird dreams I had following a meal at Tasik.

There are plenty of better dining options in and around Northbridge.

Yummy food. Recommend this.

Great place. Stumbled on this by accident as we were searching for someone else. A bit worried because there was no one there and its like a little house with different tables in different rooms.

But the food was delicious and the price was easy. Felt like I was back in Bali, thanks Tasik.
Bexdaglan
Yummy!!. Great little place, went here mid week and it was busy and had a really good atmospehere.
The food came fast and was well presented and tasty!!! The portions are average size but for the price you really cant complain, its so cheap.
Will defintly be going back!!!
Jo Rogers
Jogopen. This Indonesian is great, we use to frequent this place when it was in Mt Lawley, then it moved to Northbridge we dont go as often but when we do the only thing we eat is the Nasi Goreng it is great, I can only eat half of it and it costs $12. A little gem.
Pennae
Not 'asli' Indonesian but tasty. We had the empel, gado2, ayam goreng kecap, and udang. The empel was in thick wedges, which is unusual, and I was expecting the ayam to be fried chicken, not stir fried chicken. Cheerful service, nice setting, not bad.
Chloe Bird
Best Restaurant. I love Tasik, it's probably my favourite restaurant in Perth. Such cheap meals, the peanut sauce is amazing, the waitstaff are so lovely and friendly. Can't fault it.
Cwen1533
Yuk. Went to this restaurant for the first and last time tonight.
The staff is nice and friendly but the food was so incredibly
bad we left half of it. Everything was drowned in peanut sauce. The lumpia were obviously frozen variety, the satay chicken, again completed inundated in peanut sauce. The Sotto Ayam was greasy and had an unpleasant aftertaste.
The waiter recommended we have just one soup as it was a large bowl, which is fine except they bought it out with no bowls to put it into. The waitress promptly disappeared
and never returned. Couldn't find anyone to bring out what we needed. Finally some beancurd dish with capsicums seemed tasty until we both bit into the capsicums which were VERY obviously mouldy. Inedible.
Never again. Sorry we wasted our time, money and calories on this place.
Courtney Barron
No longer a favourite. I revisited this restaurant recently for the first time in about 6 months, and I left completely disappointed.
The service was almost non existant - twice we had to get up from our table and find a waiter to come to us.
Whilst the food arrived quickly, it was bland and the servings smaller than I remembered.

This restaurant has noticeably gone downhill, and I would no longer recommend it to anyone.

-----28 Sep, 2011-----

Highly Recommend!. This is one of my favourite restaurants in Northbridge. It has a fabulous relaxed atmosphere and reminds me of
restaurants in Indonesia.

The food is delicious, and quite authentic. The staff are always friendly here, especially the owner, who often works on the till.

If going for dinner, I recommend booking ahead and asking for a table outside - it can get a tad noisy inside when its busy.
Debbie
An odd little restaurant. I went here about two weeks ago for a friends birthday party - there was about 15 of us. We all ordered at the same time, but over a course of an hour and a half all the dishes came out at separate times. At one point, I had already finished my dinner when the last few dishes finally came out. The kitchen service was not the best, that's for sure.

The ambiance of the restaurant and setting was lovely and the waiters were helpful and friendly but the fact the dishes all came out at varying times made it to be an awkward occasion.

Being vegetarian I appreciated the fact that they catered for both vegetarians and vegans, but the dishes themselves were organised and presented in a seemingly unfavourable fashion. When it arrived it smelt wonderful but the presentation did not impress me. The prices on mains however were reasonably priced which did help.

I would consider going again, but not in the near future.
Chris Peacock
Delicious, affordable and funky. There is a funky vibe at Tasik, a renovated house cum restuarant nestled amongst backpackers and the infamous deen in Northbridge. The service and food though were fantastic - especially for the price. Our group of 3 shared chicken sate sticks and fried prawn as entree. Prawns were fresh and in a crunchy coating and we were spooning up the delicious sate sauce at the end!

For mains we shared a nasi goreng, Beef Rendang and a prawn dish I forget the name of... all good but Rendang stood out for me.

Also great that it's BYO beer and wine! Only grumbles were it was incredibly noisy in the covered outdoor section when it rained and trying to book a table on the phone caused a fair bit of confusion. In the end I got another of our party to ring and book, this time through a more on to it staff member.

Recommended & will be going back again.
Duane
Wonderful! I haven't been to an Indonesian restaurant before (apart from in Bali) but I will certainly be returning. The Ikan Bakar (fish) was amazing. The service is friendly, the building is warm and cozy, servings are spot on and the food is delicious.

Walked in on a Saturday night. Got a table straight away. Great service and even better food. Really tasty. Cool atmosphere. Recommended highly..
Big Bite Perth
Thank God for the Chefs. The food at Tasik is awesome. The beef rendang and cumi bakar are two of the most delectable Indonesian meals I have had the pleasure of devouring. The service however was non existent. It was a case of order, eventually when we got their attention, then deliver the meals. That was the extent of the service. We had to ask for everything and plates weren't cleared. When we left they were still there'. Even for Perth it was poor! It was a Saturday night?? (Im hoping there was some reason)The food totally held it up and I personally would go back just for that.

Doesn't feel like Northbridge!. This restaurant is a cool and calm oasis away from the harsh grime that sometimes seems to taint Northbridge.

It is set within a cute little house, which has been decorated adorably in a cosy Indonesian style.

I had a vegetarian tofu peanut dish for lunch (sorry can't remember the name, it was on the lunch special menu). Everything about this dish was great except I think perhaps the tofu was old... it was probably the worst tofu I've eaten in a long time... but it was edible. I hope they were just having a bad tofu day because I do intend on coming back because of the lovely atmosphere and service.
Natalie Miller
Good food and lovely people. The food here is amazing! The family that run the restaurant are really friendly and cool. It's BYO with no corkage.... Everything is well priced..... This has to be my most favourite North Bridge eating spot!
Ronnie
Good food. Went the for lunch today...had the beef...very yummy.bit skimpy on the meat though but lunch special you get what you pay for.........nice meal...highly 8/10

Very nice nasi goreng; prices a little pricey. Very nice decor,

Bagus, enak!. Favourite Indonesian restaurant in Perth. Delicious flavours and consistently good quality food. Always friendly, efficient service.

This place is a gem!. We go for lunch menu.. the food, always excellent and $9.50 lunch special, can't get any better than that. Beef Rendang is my favourite, but all the $9.50 meals are recommended as well. The service and ambience are top shelf and staff are very friendly.. the waiter took our 6 orders without writing them down and got them all right, including hot, medium or mild.. :-) the indonesian music gets tiresome after a while.. kidding of course wouldn't the same without it hahaha

Best Indonesian Restuarant. Had a girls night there on Saturday and the food was devine! We are going back again as we have told our whole family how wonderful the food is and they want to check it out for themselves. Best food ever!

Awesome! Friendly and honest waitress, good atmosphere in the little converted house. The food was really good and very well priced. Beef rendang was the tastiest thing I've eaten this year! The entree prawns were also very good, with big juicy crispy prawns. Highly recommend!!!!

Good food. OK I'm Indonesian so you can trust me.. (if you'd like) Food here is good, yes it does look a bit dodgy but the service and food here is really good (Compared to others). For the value, its definitely worth a try... we've been back here a few times.

The best in Town. 2 thumbs up. I was very much satisfied with the service and the sensational food.

The restaurant setting is great. It's an old house on Aberdeen street, with colourful but faded decor, well worn floor boards, and casual but neat and smartish table settings. It almost feels a bit Mexican. Service from our waitress was friendly and helpful, although she was a little hard to catch at times. They were out of the first dish I ordered, which was a bit disappointing, but there are plenty of other choices.
Queen Of Bad Timing
Best of all, when we went up to pay, it was under $30. Now that is what I call winning.
The Halal Food Project
To be honest, we are not terribly adventurous in our food choices once we have found something we really like. At Tasik, what we like are pangsit goreng (fried wonton with chicken filling served with sweet chilli sauce) as an appetizer, followed by mains of rice with

Tasik is a scenic town in Indonesia and is the inspiration for this Indonesian restaurant in Northbridge. The family behind Tasik has been in Perth for decades, but only more recently have they relocated their restaurant to this venue in Northbridge. In moving to Northbridge, they have taken over a larger premise and are able to cater to a greater number of customers as well as larger groups. However, even with the move, they still serve great tasting and authentic (given the "local" patronage) Indonesian food. The restaurant venue looks like an old house that has been converted into a restaurant. It has multiple rooms with the kitchen at the back, the reception and toilets are in the middle, and the main dining rooms are in the front as well as some "outdoor" dining that has been properly converted into additional dining areas by additional wood and glass barriers. Tasik's menu contains a range of Indonesian food at affordable prices with many dishes coming in at the $10-15 range. How
