This cafe is a great place for people watching in the mall despite the temperatures soaring through the roof when we were there over the Xmas period. They have great vegetarian options for sushi with heaps of varied ingredients & so fresh. The miso is also a good healthy starter for $1

This is a good for nothing sushi place discusting made want to throw up and bad service!!! another problem was that   The 'udon' gave me lay sai. INSULTS TO THE CHEF i had to spend many long hours on the toilet it was explosive to. My toilet got blocked and the food wasn't even good on top of that he spilt soup on my white top!! but he was hot once again INSULTS TO THE CHEF!!

The sushi rolls are fine. However, for the third time in a row (silly me) I have ordered the beef teriyaki, enquiring the first time if the meat was lean- but it was laden with gristle and inedible. Both subsequent times I mentioned my prior experience, and unfortunately it was repeated- I ate the rice and salad, and sushi rolls, leaving all of the main meal. Sorry folks: the beef was so full of gristle it was inedible- and please understand I am NOT a habitual complainer. This is despite providing feedback to the pleasant staff. It's not good enough to be a Japanese cafe; and, sadly, I doubt that it's Japanese people running it.

Best Vegetarian Sushi in town. Their vegetarian sushi is the best I have ever tasted amongst other places! I swear they have at least 8 different ingredients in there.. surprisingly all goes well together! They also have brown rice option- still moist, delightful and value for money! <br/><br/>Other times when I feel like a small snack I love to pop by and grab their samosa, spring roll or miso soup for all just $1. Where else can you find such good value these days. <br/><br/>Not to mention efficient and friendly service all the time, this is my favourite go-to lunch place in the city especially when I'm really short of time. Definitely recommend!

Dirty Tables. Don't go here unless your getting take away. Sat there for five minutes and twenty people come up asking for $2 and cigarette. OMG, the food looks not so nice, but taste ok for sushi take away shop. My wife was wearing short skirt and an old bold man wearing glasses , I think with disability, inside the counter kept looking between her legs. I got angry and change position with my wife. The same old man walked outside towards David Jones and crossed his arm and look back to the shop at my wife again. I got angry and threw the food in the bin. Could have been a cheap nice lunch, but destroyed by people asking for $2, cigarettes and an old horny old bold man.

What's wrong with the owner, food is terrible!!. 2 days ago, I ordered a salmon roll and teriyaki chicken bento, food looks nice but when I opened the salmon roll, the salmon smile like dead fish, I bring the sushi to the counter and speak to the owner, chinese young boy , but the boy get mad and throw the food in the rubbish bin immediately, I should take a photo or report to councill, they pay me back the money with the sushi and teriyaki chicken and ask me to leave. I swear to god i will never go again in the rest of my life, don' go again if you see this post.

Don't waste your time, go to David Jones for better take away sushi, or Taka down the road. Ugly looking sushi rolls, veggies looks like it was suppose to be bin but recycled. We recycle among other things like recycle plastic, glass and so on, but old veggies for customers? their brown rice sushi rolls looks like last weeks, and worst of all, serving although big, but tasteless. a few years ago this used to be a good place, but owner left to go to harbour town. young boy looking around 10 years old at the counter was very rude and untrained. older lady, maybe his grandmother gave better serve, offering to give free food, if we don't complaint to heath department for old food we were given. cheap sushi but what you pay is what you get. chinese operators selling japanese food.

Reasonable price for decent size lunch. We ordered the teriyaki chicken bento set $11.90 and katsu curry chicken $9.90 and teriyaki chicken sushi (4 for $3.80) for lunch. Didn't have to wait long. Lunch arrived hot and tasty enough. Very satisfied for the price.

Absolutely fresh sushi and rice paper rolls every time! Love the sauce that goes with the rice paper roll. I think it's delicious and very value for money.

Oh wow!. Ever since returning from a brief sojourn in Melbourne I've been dissatisfied with sushi in Perth, but I tried the vegetarian sushi at Shimizu last week and it was so amazing I returned today for a large size :) <br/><br/>It survived the hot trip home on a jolting bus and was beautiful and fresh. The colours of the vege sushi especially is wonderful, and contain so many great tastes!

So yummy!. The best California sushi I've ever had! Beef sushi is lovely too. Getting sushi after 5pm is convenient, 2 trays of 4 for $6 and 2 trays of 8 for $12 :)

Try their chicken kaarage which is chicken thigh fillets deep fried in crispy crumbs and served with mayo and steamed rice. Simple food but definitely makes you want more. There is a variety of beef, chicken, and fish bento sets but they're pretty pricey. Nice location at perth's murray st mall - great for people watching and street shows.

The maki was dry & tasteless -even for little take-away store. I would have expected better 'authentic Japanese' for my $8.50

They were out of ginger beef so we both had teriyaki beef, which was thinly sliced and flavourful. The salad with orange puree dressing was refreshing. There's rich, creamy mayo in the middle of it all, which only made the dish better.
