Review Cay Dua Lunch & Restaurant - Perth

Really disappointed with their Roast pork with crackling Banh Mi. Pork meat was really dry and tough. Crackling was nearly non existence, definitely not crackling. The whole Bahn mi was dry and had to wash it down with ice coffee. Will not be recommending their Bahn Mi for sure.

The worst prepared and dry banh mi I have ever had. No pate, one chunk of cucumber, one long tube of spring onion and some dried out bits of pork. Never again thanks.

I had the Lemongrass Beef Bun Noodle Salad for my lunch, it was very fresh and delicious, I highly recommend it to everyone😋👍

Amazing food, pricey but you definitely get what you pay for. Fresh and full of flavour. Mushroom and Tofu Pho is always a winner, as are both the low carb and standard tofu rice paper rolls.

Didn't read the reviews before ordering. Wanted some nice food in hotel quarantine. Big mistake. The "barracuda" in my spring roll looked like and had the consistency of a deep fried shoelace. The Bahn Mih roll was lacklustre, the pork was dry and ingredients overall weren't very fresh. Don't bother with this place, they don't even accept direct feedback for your order (noreply email address).

Bånh MÏ. Very average. Is prepared and sold WITHOUT pâtÊ. I'm sorry, but a bånh mÏ without pâtÊ is simply not a bånh mÏ. Pickled daikon was also absent inside the roll, which as a result was too sweet. Also, no spring onion and no cha lua or any refreshing cold cuts. Save your money and visit a proper unpretentious Vietnamese place that doesn't cater to the bland corporate palate.

Noodle salad was terrible - no peanuts, no herbs, no garlic in the sauce, sauce was mediocre at best, and the tofu had a terrible plastic taste and feel (and I like tofu). 1 star because the rice paper rolls looked good and the sweet potato fries were good.

Food safety nightmare. Ordered without an ingredient due to intolerance, came out with it anyway. The lady picked it out with her hands then handed it back to me. Lazy and unhygienic.

This place never fails to impress - Tast Sensation.
We have been many times to Cat Dua and we are always welcomed with a friendly genuine greeting. The food is bright, fresh and colorful. The Flavours bounced around the palate, some bold and others gently subtle. The menu choices continue keep with the Vietnamese tradition and this keeps our interests. We have eaten at Cat Dua at least 20 times. The best way to judge a quality Vietnamese Restaurant is the longgevity and consistency. We have never had a bad meal or experience, this is a true testimony to the owners and the staff.
Last night's meal was above normal and the taste sensation was truly remarkable.

We will continue to come back.

My wife and I visited Cay Dua for lunch and from the moment we arrived we were very impressed. The welcome was brilliant, the wait staff were awesome and the food was fantastic. We both had the BBQ Pork which was brilliant, and shared the Banana Fritter for desert which was incredible. The meal portions are generous and the quality is fantastic, we will be back!

Lovely Vietnamese food on the edge of Northbridge. We had a family celebration there for Mother's Day and all really enjoyed the meal. It's small, but with a varied menu and friendly staff. Highlights for me we the Ginger Fish Fillet, Pepper Beef and Vegetables in special sauce. We all loved the Fried Icecream - which was amazing with a lemon coconut coating and caramel sauce.

Really great food. The service is very prompt and professional. The Sea Food is excellent as were the entrees of spring rolls. The free parking is so convenient.

I love their lunch special and the prices are so cheap. We had crispy chicken and green tea and lemon with ice. It was so refreshing on this warm day.

I used to eat here when it was called something else. I only ever ate the soft pancake then but decided to try the new menu with new owners even though they didn’t sell the soft pancake. The place has been refurbished and it was great to see. The old carpet has gone along with the stuffy smell. The staff were attentive and really pleasant. I had the Bun Bo Hue and although I’ve never had that dish before so can’t compare, I really liked it. I will be back to try the rest. It’s still a lovely quiet place for lunch, by yourself if you need to, and to do some work (like 5 other patrons who had the same idea when I was there). Thanks 👍

Fantastic food in a welcoming venue. Everything was very fresh and authentic with great service. The seafood pho is delicious, and our friendly waiter was very helpful with our son who has a peanut allergy and was thoughtfully catered for. Will definitely be back!

Cay Day, I cannot recommend highly enough. It maybe quiet and not so aesthetically appealing but the food is to die for. The chicken salad is a unique blend of flavor and colour. The laksa and crispy chicken very aromatic also.

Great Vietnamese food. Good value with friendly service. My favourite is pork chop with broken rice - best I have tasted in Perth. Most dishes are $11 with free tea

The restaurant serves authentic and tasty food, served in a timely and efficient manner. The menu offers dishes that are well priced to offer good value for many. Casual dining in a clean and friendly restaurant. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this Restaurant.

Great Vietnamese food. The Bun Bo Hue and Hu Tieu were excellent. Used to travel to Girraween for our fix but this place will be our go to from now on. Highly recommended to all.

Lovely food and friendly service. Really nice simple food with beautiful flavours. Had the rice paper rolls, beef pho, roti and banh mi. Fantastic value for money, the restaurant interior is simple and clean. Impressed, will be back!

New owners since Oct 2016 and what a change! Food and service are now excellent. The fare is clean and authentic, the beef hofan pho is a great example, beautifully balanced and flavoured. We live nearby and travel 20mins or more each Sat and Sun to have brunch in Viet places in Girrawheen (because the Northbridge options are so boring). Finally we have Cay Dua close by! The standard is clearly the best we have tried in Perth and certainly comparable to the real thing in Vietnam. We just wish it opened earlier than 10am on weekends so it could harvest Perth's breakfast crowd. Definitely recommended!

Good Vietnamese restaurant around NB. My recommendation: chicken satay skewers, salt and peppers squid , prawn spring roll, rice vermicelli .

I liked the Dao Vinh and am very happy these guys took over the premises. Apparently the family ran a restaurant in Melbourne and it is obvious to me that they have experience. Very good price vs quality ratio and good service.
The pho was good, the beef salad was good, the rice paper spring rolls good, the ban mit (bread rolls) good and for $6 makes an excellent lunch. I recommend diners getting a salad to share as a meal extra because there is a lot of tasty and healthful ingredients in it. The prawn toast at $8 is highly recommended. Plump juicy prawn sealed onto a triangle of toast x4 and covered in sesame seeds. I have also had the deep fried fish which was a flounder. Pretty good. Next time for me will be the spicy soup (Bun Bo Hue) and of course the prawn toast but I am confident the stuffed chicken wings will be worthwhile.

The foods here was great, fresh and enjoyable and extremely well priced for the quality. I really like Bun Bo Hue soup very nice and spicy. The Vietnamese rolls were fresh with lovely dipping sauces and fried spring rolls with fish sauces so amazing!!! Lovely flavours

The chicken satay skewers and spring rolls is great, the seafood hot chilli and salt and pepper squid are tasty . Combination fried rice is delicious . Yum

Service was awesome! The food was amazing. Had veggie spring rolls and rice paper rolls, beef pho and fried ice cream. Was all really great and authentic, reminded me of being back in Vietnam. Best part was prices! So cheap, so good. Highly recommend.

I didn't like this place.. The seafood spring rolls were not a pleasant texture at all. Beef sate was tasty. The sauce for the chicken with chili and lemongrass was really gluey and the salt squid was dry and chewy. I was also awake half the night which usually indicates excessive msg.... Don't think I will be back

good view, great food and reasonable price but parking lot is not very convenience. I like vietnamese food so this restaurant is good place for me.
