Review Carvers - Perth

Uncle Hulka
The buffet lunch I had was great, absolutely no complaints. I've read other comments about tough meat and sub par food etc. The meat I had was superb. The knife cut through the roast pork like it was butter. Great, attentive service too. Using the Crown Rewards card lunch totaled $16! so I really don't get the expectations of the several whiny reviews here? What do people really expect for this price? I'll definitely return.

Why 5 stars? It's not just that it's a budget buffet, it's not the flocks of senior citizens who primarily make up the crowds (fun to observe), and it's not the fact that it's in a casino- it's the staff who diligently remind us what good service is supposed to be like. One young man even ushered my friends and I on our way out, very much spirit of hospitality.

Not bad for 10 dollar fun pack buffet. Not many selections on food but definitely worth the money. Food was OK.

Man!!! This place!!! Awesome food . Great service ... not the biggest dessert range .. but who cares.... dont listen to all these negative ppl on here... its 34 bucks... what do you expect??? For 34 dollars.. not too bad at all... would definitely be back..
Steve Mavin
Good value food with a decent variety. I enjoyed everything that I piled on my plate. The pumpkin soup is tasty & the chicken pie, creamy pasta & curries are all good too.
Rebecca
Its a small selection but very nice food. Its a all you can eat roast dinner so yum. It includes soft drinks and coffee

Not bad for the price, limited choice but enough to full your stomach!

Place is located in a casino so you can't go in without ID. The food was pretty mediocre with a very narrow range of food. There were a lot of potato dishes, all of which were nothing special. The small selection of salads and roast pumpkin/potato and pasta were a bit under seasoned and bland in my opinion. There was the usual freshly cut meat which was decent but could have still been better. The fried rice was probably the best dish there in terms of flavour. The dessert was one of the better aspects of the restaurant, the variety wasn't huge but it was decent enough to enjoy. They have the usual soft drink dispenser and a coffee machine located near the desserts. The staff members are also quite responsive and proactive. If you want something more within budget, this is a d olecranon to go. However, there are probably better places to go and if you're looking for something fancy and can spend a little more (like atrium or epicurean)

You definitely get your value for money if you’re after quantity over quality. There’s not that many choices (salad bar, pasta, fried rice, veggies, pork and beef, chips, ice cream, mousse, cake to name a few - but what do you expect). The quality of the food was average.. but just as expected for what it’s worth. Also, dont forget to sign up for the Crown membership (which is free!!) so you can get a discount when you dine in.
Lady X
Great for anyone was wants to have a huge carb feed and if you’re looking for quantity rather than quality. You can get lots of chips, potato salad, roasted potatoes, fried rice, roast pork and beef, sausages, salad and dessert for around $20. Variety is not plenty but the basics are enough to fill you up.
Snazzy
I can't rate this one very high as the food is not of the highest quality!! The roast vegetables were very dry and lacked flavour and there wasn't that much variety, The atmosphere of the restaurant overall is okay considering what you pay however I wouldn't go back!!
Elizabeth Divya Jose
The food isn’t of great quality in this place and lacks flavour and freshness. The seating is also quite crowded and a bit messy. Not a great place to visit but at least the pricing is quite moderate
Dan W
It's definitely the cheapest buffet I know of in Perth and if you're after quantity then you'll get it here. The food wasn't anything spectacular but there wasn't anything bad. Some bits of meat from the carvery could be a little on the dry side, but it's hard to nitpick when you're paying so little.

Not the best I've been to but not the worst. For a cheap night all you can eat I would recommend this place. Don't go in expecting to be high crown expectations but you won't go home hungry.

I'm really not sure where these poor reviews have come from, those people must have eaten at some pretty swisho sort of places.<br/><br/>I went here yesterday for the first time for lunch and here's how it went.<br/><br/>FOOD: Absolutley beautiful. Hot, fresh and tasty. The roast pork was really tender. Desert was incredible and of course as much as you like.<br/><br/>SERVICE: Great, our tables were cleared almost immediately after each round...lol.<br/><br/>PRICE: Club Burswood members pay $16.95 including free flow soft drinks. Awesome!!<br/><br/>OVERALL: If you can't like this place, then stay at home.<br/><br/>10/10

best buffet for price!! with soft drinks included we only paid $22.95 each with a crown rewards card (which you sign up for free online) otherwise it's still a cheap price at only $10 more. nice casual dining, only negative was the food could be hotter. <br/>would definitely come back!

Definitely a regular customer here at Carvers! Loving the sweet discount that they are promoting right now at Crown Perth of 30% off on lunch and dinner which ends on 13th April 2017! Even without the 30% off, Carvers offer a good deal for people with crown club members at the price of $16.95 (lunch). I normally go to Carvers during lunch time, and with the current offer promotion, I only paid $15.20 per person! The staff members are friendly and a good environment to catch up with your friends and families. However, I wish they could improve on their range of desserts and soup choices. So far, each time I've visited, it has always been pumpkin soup.
Jesso
a pleasant buffet, if you enjoy meats and all things that can be carved & their sides! meats, veges, salads, desserts all lovely for a price of $16.95(member) at lunchtime! went when it was english month, but still enjoyable. will go back

Misleading ads. It's an OK buffet but definitely not a seafood buffet as advertised. Potato and seafood salad without seafood. Pasta with salmon, barely any salmon. Seafood fried rice, just an ordinary fried rice with tiny prawns. Fish in tomato sauce, so overcooked it's almost inedible. The only decent one is chili mussels. Meat, hot food, salad and desserts was pleasant but very basic.
Casey
I was craving a Sunday roast so decided to head down. The roast included beef and pork. It was delicious and even better that we got as much as we desired compared to paying $25 at a pub and getting one plate. The vegetable soup was tasty. Pudding was a fresh and moist as it just came out the oven. There's a small selection of salads and rice dish. I think this is worth a visit if you want western food. I've seen the advertisements for the Asian specials and wouldn't recommend as it wouldn't be authentic, but I believe this place deserves a higher rate than what it's got.
Lovefooood
Been here several times, great food at a great price! Roast is melt in ur mouth n cooked to perfection. Great selection with plenty on offer. Plus yummy dessert selection n nice coffee- better than some cafes Ive been too! I highly recommend Carvers for quality n price- we will continue to come here as this place has always been consistent with its food unlike some places that we have been to. Worth every cent!
Michelle Byrne
Food was good but something i had was cross contaminated as i felt ill after eating here. I had some salad t start and slow roasted pork with roasted potatoes for main and an ice cream with pavlova for desert. <br/>Anyone who isnt celiac would love this spot. <br/>Fiance loved it!!
Adam
It's basic, cafeteria style food, but the appeal to me would be it's unlimited nature and cheerful style. Honestly, you can't expect much for a $22.50 buffet, and when you approach it with that lowered expectation, it can become something quite enjoyable. Well, I like the idea of creating my own dessert from remnants of bread and butter pudding...
Thekittaysmeow
Hey it ain't the Atrium by any means but for $22.50 (with crown card) I ain't complaining! <br/>Almost at a sizzler-esque standard but less choices, but not too bad for what you pay
T-M@c
Frozen, prepackaged, bland, unseasoned, cheap food is what you will find here. Sure it's cheap but is it really worth the unappetising food?
The Life Of A Designer
If you ever want to do a basic all you can eat for a fraction of the price, here is the choice!<br/><br/>There are so much promotion going on regarding this place especially if you are Crown Member. <br/><br/>Food wise, it was okay, they have roast beef, pork and turkey which is pretty nice!<br/><br/>Dessert was pretty decent with good amount of choices too!
THE ILLUSIVE FEMME
All you can eat buffet in the middle of Crown. $35 per person (less if you have a club card) and worth it! The roast pork is soft and flavoursome, the sides are fresh and tasty and there is something for everyone. Great dessert choices too. Nice to pop in for meal before a bit of a gamble.
Facebook User
It maybe cheap for the price, especially if you're a crown member. However, for $29 dinner per person, you can get a lot of options else where with much much better taste. <br/><br/>So, where do i start.... <br/><br/>It has very less variety, the taste is quite disappointing. I thought they serve seafood as advertised, but apparently it's just advertising photos. It's not on the menu. <br/><br/>They serve, pasta, fried rice, baked potato, bbq meat, stew beef, vegetables and fish in some sort of tomato sauce. <br/><br/>The meat was tasteless and dry. Actually.... Can't think of any of the food which taste stands out. <br/><br/>If you're really hungry, and you know you can eat a lot, and you don't really care about the taste, then it's a place for you. <br/><br/>I won't return here though :) <br/><br/>

Carvers located inside the casino<br/><br/>Good if you want a all you can eat. A better version of sizzlers.<br/><br/>Savouries are good, deserts are not so good. The price and variety make up for the lack of quality in some areas. Complementary soft drinks,tea/coffee and being in the casino is a bonus also.<br/><br/>Food: 3 Ambience: 2 Value:4 Service: 2.5 Xfactor: 3<br/> <br/><br/>Food: Salads, roast potatoes, chips, fried rice, stew dish usually pork stew or Mongolian meats roast turkey, beef or pork , steamed vegetables, a pasta dish, pumpkin soup, bread rolls , butter<br/><br/>Coffee,tea,soft drink included<br/> <br/><br/>Deserts ice cream machine, fruit, pavlova, tea cake, pudding, <br/><br/>$17.95 <br/><br/>Carvers is a hit and miss place. It is like a better version of sizzlers. Sometimes it is it is good other times it is average at best.<br/><br/>It has a wide variety of foods. Savoury is good in my opinion.<br/><br/>Salad is good but sometimes not that fresh. Quote to staff: "those tomatoes don't look fresh" Staff member" that is because we cut them yesterday?????<br/><br/>The fried rice is a bit greasy but ok. The steamed vegetables and pumpkin are ok- no real flavour. The potatoes and chips are nice. The meat is hit and miss, it depends on the cut you get. Sometimes it is a bit dry other times it is really nice. The crackle is the same as the meat. The other dishes pasta, stew are ok nothing special.<br/><br/>The sweet I have to say are not very good. Pavola is ok but too sweat. Custard is runny and weak. Pudding is gluggy and not very nice. Fruit is not that fresh, it is ok. The tea cakes are probably the only good sweet.<br/><br/>The soup and bread and butter is very nice.<br/><br/>Included drinks are also a bonus.<br/><br/>Ambience:<br/><br/>It is very busy not a fancy place and is a 18+ venue.<br/><br/>Service:<br/><br/>The staff are always busy, they are fast ad do a good job<br/><br/>If you want alcohol you can go to a separate counter. Most the time this is empty anyway.<br/><br/>Value:<br/><br/>Very good value, if you can eat a lot then even better<br/><br/>X-factor:<br/><br/>It is in the casino, so you have the option to gamble and Crown is a trusted name.
Lyv To Eat
As I'm a crown member, the meal was only $16.95 on a Saturday morning! It is very reasonably priced but you do get what you pay for. The range of food isn't great but there's something to satisfy everyone.  The flavours were average and we found the pork roast really dry, but the beef roast was much better. They also have pork crackling upon request and that was crunchy and delicious!!! My favourite was the Mongolian beef, it was tasty and saucy. friendly and quick service as well! Definitely worth the trip if you want a hearty and well priced meal!
Michelle
The food is decent for the price. It's one of the cheaper buffets in Perth, and you get a good enough selection. (They could do with better bread rolls, though.) Getting freshly carved meat at a simple buffet isn't something you get often (though not having it would make the name a bit of a let-down). You'd be silly not to sign up for the free Crown membership in order to get it for the cheaper price. And usually one of the staff members clearing away plates is noticeably friendly and happy.
Lamb Pickles
For a meal for $5.00 with all you can eat, is enough for me to go on an eating frenzy because you know, it's cheap? I was hoping for more variety but I guess it is the weekends.
SKPP
Food baby. It's ok when you're really hungry.
Lou
Great food and value for money, the roast meat was amazing!! I will always go back hear for a great cheap feed!
Jezza Lopez
DRYYYYY!!!. I go to the Carver with some friend for a Sunday dinner. Good price for buffet. That was all that is good about place. The meat very DRY! I almost choke coz so dry I couldn't swallow. We have drought for 40 year in my country and and meat was dryer then that. Food have no taste! I would be better getting a pie and chip from snack bar.<br/><br/>I advise everybody to no go here. I understand why I see spew on floor of toilet now. It not from alcohol, it from food. Food so bad leave country and go home to China
Juliet
It is a wonder this establishment is still around. This is the worst food I have eaten in Perth. You would struggle to find worse. We tried every single dish in hope of finding a dish we could actually eat for dinner. Left hungry.
Raistie
So bad I got angry. I came here happy and excited, and God did I get a shock of my life. The food here is one of the worst I've ever had in my life. POWDERY mussels (is that even possible), rubbery fish, and plastic tasting mousse. You can do much better Crown, put in some effort. The atrocious quality of the food is abysmal. The only thing that tasted normal were the soft drinks!<br/><br/><br/>-----31 Jan, 2015-----<br/><br/>So bad it made me angry. I came here happy and excited but... God. This is actually hands down one of the worst food I have eaten in my life. The mussels were POWDERY, and the fish was CHEWY. The mousse tasted like PLASTIC!! Put in a little bit of effort, Crown. Ergh never coming here again.
Terry Tibs
Great Cheap Meal!. Fantastic cheap meal. Will continue to visit.
Robert Maag
The worst meal I have ever eaten. Don't bother
Mr G
We have eaten here several times, the first few time the menu was well placed & presented, as time has progressed the choice & quality has diminished to not much better than a road side diner.<br/>Even as a member card holder the price to quality ratio has become very poor.<br/>Someone on management should go to Miss Maudes in the city to get a idea what a smorgasbord should be. <br/>Than of course there is paid parking at stupid prices just to make it even less of a dining experience.
Destinyv8
Well this place is cheap and you get what you paid for, it attracts a lot of seniors as well. Food is ok, its more of a in and out kind of restaurant, no bookings first come frst serve. If you want a great atmosphere, great food and drinks service then be prepared to pay more elsewhere in crown. <br/>Staff is very efficient and friendly enough. <br/> Its like a premium fast food, you get what you paid for. Take note this place does get busy on weekends and no reservations. Best to get your group ready in time otherwise you will be split up because of the unavailable tables( other cheapskakes inside that stay forever!)
Rpetrick92
Wont rush back. Hmmmm reviews are pretty accurate from my experience.<br/><br/>It is kind of what you pay for... Its not expensive and if you want dinner cheap without getting fast food its a good option.<br/><br/>Food wasn't great just pretty simple buffet food with not a lot of flavor<br/><br/>Lines to get food were REALLY BAD! People pushing in near the front which just grinds my gears watching it happen - diners were generally rude but considering they were probably not happy with their experience either doesn't really surprise me.<br/><br/>Ambiance was not good. Really really loud which I know it was really busy but have eaten at busy places before and it wasn't this bad. Could barely have a conversation and felt like you were yelling across the table.<br/><br/>Would come back if we couldn't get in anywhere else or wanted to eat cheap but definitely not a preference.
Eileen Slater
This Place Makes Sizzler Look Good. I shall quote my husband. "I get better roast meat from the little deli downstairs at work". Not really what you expect from a restaurant at an entertainment complex trying to raise it's standards to world class. A limited selection of less that palatable 'food'. ick!
Val
Crap service. I went to carvers with 7 family members for my brother-in-laws 70th birthday. They were so rude when we asked if we could all be seated together. we were told we could only sit at a table for 4 so we were split up. One of us was given 10 minutes to use the ladies with a passout. we felt like were at school. Again I asked one of the waiting staff if there was a way we could be seated together & the reply was "look I am busy looking after a customer". That wasnt true, she was just being rude & it seemed she had no intention in helping us, so I asked someone else & I was snapped at with a "NO!" The place wasnt busy so I cant understand why we could not be seated together.<br/>This place is a joke. They are only there to rush you in & out. Sure the food is cheap, but having to put up with such rude staff I wont be going back. oh & the lady at the front counter also put us off. rude rude rude & no good customer service! <br/><br/>Well its several weeks sice I went to carvers & decided to give them a 2nd chance. It was xmas in july. Food was nice but again the service was bad. The same lady at the till was again rude. She has no idea on customer service & has an appalling attitude.
Josh And Anto
Go here with my father inlaw on his gambling trip.<br/>food is decent for low price buffet.<br/>deserts are the biggest plus<br/>don't come here during day time too many old grumpy people to fight with inline.

Jules. Everytime I have gone to the Carvers Buffet I have loved it. Took my mum for mothers day and because of the fact it was mothers day we got a free lunch. I was very happy with a free lunch but would have paid regardless, food was great and has been everytime I go there. Happy with the service as well, empty plates quickly picked up and <br/>buffet always full. Happy customer Crown.
Jessica Verburgt
I came here a month or 2 ago and the girl at the front counter made me feel very angry. I was bringing the man I work with who has a disability to have Dinner here, but I wasn't eating as I was going to be feeding him. She told me I was not allowed to come in with him unless I paid for a plate for myself. When I told her she was being ridiculous she spoke loudly over top of me telling me to calm down. She went ad spoke to her manager to see if I was allowed to come In with him. The only reason we stayed was because the man I was with wanted to eat here, but I was so disgusted with her attitude towards us and will never go back there if that's how she treats customers who Are less fortunate.

FALSE ADVERTISING. The Carvers Buffet that they title a Seafood Buffet is totally false advertising. Poached fish and disgustingly overcooked octopus does not a seafood buffet make - especially when the advertising photos show battered fish, mussels and calamari rings. I'll never go again and advise everyone else to keep well away from it.
Jenna.pike
Not worth it.. Sizzler is much better value for money. At Carvers they have two lots of the same products, they should utilise their space better and put more variety on their menu. Of the food that was provided the roast pumpkin and potato were not well cooked and the salads were very basic. As for dessert you could tell it was not fresh and lacked taste. Will not be going back.
Helenbali
Mrs. Went to carvers buffet today for their seafood buffet.<br/>There was NO seafood apart from some fish fried in a thick bread crumb batter,<br/>This was revolting. On their add it showed, prawns, squid, mussels and fish.<br/>False advertising, it was very disappointing. Will never return.
Robert Mcauley
First and last time.. Went to see rocky horror show. had dinner first at carvers. omfg, what a joke. very small selection of hot and cold foods. the desert selection is bigger. should have paid $65 and gone to the atrium buffet instead. never going again to carvers.
Nope
Good for what it is. We've been going here since Carvers opened and haven't seen a decline in food variety or quality. Certain 'special' menus like Christmas and Asian offer different variety. <br/>Positives<br/>- the roast meats and vegetables, such as pumpkin and potatoes are perfectly cooked, delicious and generous cuts.<br/>- very basic, fresh salads<br/>- cleanliness of serving areas<br/>- efficient service at till, seating and clearing plates <br/><br/>Negatives<br/>- incredibly close together tables and therefore chairs. Way too cramped. I understand that volume of people and high turnover of diners are what Carvers aim for but honestly not being able to get in or out of seats is ridiculous.
Lbucher
Disapointment. Been there a few times with a $10.00 package and for the price it was a good lunch with coffee and desert included. This time I went to the theater so I paid full price of $16.95 and got coleslaw only by name, potatoes under cooked, curry with no flavour and dry beef. Least the beetroot and pumpkin soup was edible. Wednesday 22-1-14
Food 2 Run
After reading the reviews I wasnt keen on going however my Dad a regular, he promised me it would be good. I went and was impressed for a 22 dollar dinner buffet cant beat it...Geoff the chef was great good serves of beef and pork. Wont doubt my Dad again...really enjoyed it.
Cam
Absolutely terrible meal. Wouldn't pay $10 for it, let alone $30!!! Meat was cold, chips were cold, salads and desserts were horrendous. Would never go back and would never recommend this place to anyone! Honestly one of the worst meals I have eaten in a long time. Save your money and get macca's! YES, that's the standard this food is at. YUCK!!
Marc Hauswirth
Yes it was only $15 but I was willing to pay more, that was until I are the food or I should say left most of it on the plate. I complained to staff and they said what do you want for $15? How rude we and the next table were pounced on to leave once we finished sweets. <br/>Food was krap <br/>Service was krap
Elodie
Rip-off. I first dined here in March 2013 and thoroughly enjoyed all dishes on offer. However when I visited this past weekend I was disappointed. The vegetables were cold, side dishes very limited, dry/stale bread rolls and a lack of variety. The roast meat however was delicious with generous servings offered. My main compliment would be on the dessert bar. Numerous choices which were all enjoyable and somewhat made up for the lacklustre mains.<br/><br/>If the prices were cheaper I would be able to justify eating here, but there is no way it is worth $25+ (depending on whether you are a Crown Club Member) for dinner.
Elizabeth_5
Sunday night buffet. My nephew, daughter and overseas friends, all students, dined at Carvers expecting to get a delicious buffet ............<br/><br/>They could only eat the meat - the rest was left overs of some sort or another. The worst food they have tasted and students are not particulary fussy! Besides being expensive for them, it was not a good experience of eating out in Perth.<br/><br/>Contacted Carvers - Am waiting for a response for them but will certainly not recommend to anyone
Mel Mathijssen
Worst meal EVER!!! Currently attempting dinner #2 after walking out of carvers feeling highly disapointed and discusted
Tiemu
Okay buffet for $10, but won't return. PROS<br/><br/>Cheapest buffet in Perth. If you get there using the Crown Bus, you pay $10 for the ride and get a free lunch voucher to Carver's, $1 free Keno play, and $3 credit to your Crown card. You can become a Crown member after arrival if you're not one already, and membership is free. It's a bit ridiculous that if you come without the Crown bus the lunchtime cost at Carvers is $17.<br/><br/>Free unlimited coffee and soft drinks. You don't even get this at Atrium.<br/><br/>Lunch open for 3+ hours (11:00-14:00 food service).<br/><br/>Nice salad dressings and roast meat sauces (2 each). These are the only items from the whole buffet I'd be pleased to taste again, as well as apple crumble which tasted pretty good.<br/><br/>A place to practice being a positive rather than negative person. On the one hand the food isn't good, and on the other hand you get much selection and amount than eating a single $10 meal at a food court.<br/><br/>CONS<br/><br/>Using tinned food at any buffet is arrant laziness and not worth serving at all. The fruit salad is the tinned fruit in syrup you find in the supermarket aisle. The same went for the beetroot, olives, and most salad bar items. Any non-cook can do this. The salad bar has only a few items on offer (about 10 in total), and most are canned, bottled, or re-heated frozen vegetables. Only two leafy vegetables are on offer (mesclun lettuce, and baby spinach).<br/><br/>Very limited selection. The bain marie looks long enough until you realise every item you see is repeated at the other end of the bain marie. Limits qua limits are not a problem if the offerings are high enough quality to let you want another round, but don't expect it at Carvers. Only 4 meat offerings in total: roast pork and beef, and Chinese sauced chicken and beef, none of which were particularly tasty at all. No pasta: only one choice of rice, potatoes, and bread rolls that aren't soft. The rest of the non-dessert selection are a few simple vegetables like baked carrots and pumpkin, which isn't interesting, and a mushroom soup which tasted rather like a salty mushroom watery-drink as it was so thoroughly blended.<br/><br/>Dessert selection is less than 10 items, none of which I would pay for at a supermarket, except the apple crumble. The ice cream machine with 3 flavoured syrups looks exciting, but taste is mundane as though to match the rest of the offings.<br/><br/>Had a spiteful waitress who effectively told us we had been at the buffet too long (1 hour before the buffet closes) and stacked other people's dirty plates on our 2-seat table when we fetched more food, assumably as a signal that she didn't particularly like us.<br/><br/>A very long line developed at midday (a 20 minute wait with 26 people lined ahead of us to reach the food), but this line vanished by 13:00.<br/><br/>---------<br/><br/>Seldom do I actively try hard to be positive when I pay to eat out. I went with low expectations after reading negative feedback on Urbanspoon beforehand, but I assumed people were merely finicky and unkind. There really is nothing genuinely positive to say about Carvers other than that it's cheap (and if you pay full price it isn't even all that cheap) and can get you full. But now that my curiosity is sated, even at the discounted $10 price I'd rather pay for a McDonald's meal or use the voucher for a single meal at Crown's other restaurants.
Louise
Give this place a very wide berth!. Took rellies from Vic. to lunch there today, Wednesday, a REALLY bad choice on our part! Crowded, noisy, but that could have been overlooked if the food was in any way decent, even average... never again, expensive, little choice, barely warm, tough meat, a BIG disappointment! Give this place a miss, a huge disappointment!! I actually felt ashamed that I'd taken our rellies there, save yourself the same embarrassment, and waste of money..!!
Froggy
Went tonight after Jersey Boys . Very disappointing food . I don't eat pork , roast pork and pork casserole !!! Roast beef like the sole of your shoe , beef casserole ok rice overcooked . Very ordinary choice and food standard. Six at the table no one liked it .
Jules Pettit
Have had better. Chilli mussels weren't too bad last night, but the fish was cold and rubbery - just an off night (I thought) but when I was served 2 slices of roast beef that were not 'just cut' from the roast I wasn't sure. On returning to my table, I found the meat to be luke warm. My partner also had the same experiences. On raising our concerns, we were told by Staff number 306369 that to complain about the tepid mains 40 minutes after entering the venue, was too long. Not sure how long one is supposed to take to eat soup, entree then mains!!! I bet if we had been dining in Rockpool we would still be waiting for entree at the 60 minute mark! <br/>Lunch here a month ago was great.
Steve Reynolds
Hi this is exactly not true as it is not kid friendly. As we found out after driving half and hour, to get to casino to ask bouncer how to get to carvers where he said only way in is through casino and that kids aren't allowed in casino or at carvers! <br/>So thanks for that
Foodlover
No No No. Possibly the worst place I have eaten in Perth...
YuMMM.com
It is what it is.....& it serves it's purpose. Typical food court dining, get them in, get them fed then get them out. Plenty of other restaurant choices otherwise.

Good value for money

Absolutely LOVE going to Carvers. Great value for money. All you can eat and drink :D meat is alway juicy and salad is fresh :D and there is a good choice for dessert. Great service with clearing plates off your table. Always go for a great meal :D
Notveryfussy
Don't waste your money. Not much to chose from. A roast restaurant that didn't even have Chicken or Lamb. HELLO this is AUSTRALIA!! We had a choice of Turkey, Ham or Beef, BORING! I had beef and wasn't very nice. I also had some honey casserole dish which was also disgusting and tasted like it came out of a tin can. The only thing that I liked was the potato salad and bread roll. Dessert was ok, but I'd chose Sizzler over this place any day of the week!
SneakyReviewer
Disgusting food, attrocious service. You couldn't pay me to cone back here. I hope Packer shuts it down!
Olster
Judging by previous comments I have to agree that it's nothing special for the $24.95! The quality seemed to have dropped. We ordered the prawn cocktail for extra $4.00 and both agreed that the prawns were bland and tasteless. Not even their supposedly 'famous' seafood sauce could cover up the blandness. Not sure where they shop for these prawns but they need to keep an eye on their quality. Not worth the extra $4.00. The buffet itself appears to have not changed in a while and there's not a great deal of salad choices. The label on the soup said "vegetable soup" and yet it looked orange in colour & tasted like pumpkin soup... Did they just mix some leftovers together & called it vegetable soup?? Generally, it's ok for a suburban hotel buffet, but not for an international resort hotel. Perhaps they need Gordon Ramsay to help with a menu revamp??

Horrible quality, meat was dry, seafood was prepared like prison food. We have dined there many times before but never had a tea this bad. Hope it was just an off night as usually it's a great place to go.

I reeally like it,value for money.. I really enjoyed Carvers ,the service is allways good the meat is allways juicy and tender when ever me and my husband has been there.I really enjoy the coleslaw but they could do better with the desert selection do not eat the mouse it tastes oily and has a chemical taste .Other than that enjoyable .

You get what you paid for. Cheap and very ordinary...the only good thing is ....its in Burswood.

View of Carvers. Good price of $15.95 including drinks but sadly roast meat was very dry and pork crackle was uneatible cos was over cooked but coffee was good along with cola drinks but Carvers need to offer more tasty food cos sizzler is winning over this stuff that they call food even though sizzer is $8 bucks more including drinks We will come in in a month or so to see whats new and if its eatable, good luck hope it get better

Expected More. All I can say is really? It was ok but wont be going back. I know ok is a bad description but really that's what is was. I think I expect so much more from a place that takes so much more...

Sizzlers beats this place ... That's saying alot. If you want a buffet at the burswood pay the extra money and go the atrium!

Same old Menu............. My husband and I frequent Carvers but after more than a year, we realized that the Menu is always the same, in fact, the quality has dropped alot!<br/>Last Saturday, we were there again and told ourselves, we'll never go back again! Even though we are Club Burswood members. The food was so tasteless, Salad bar used to be very interesting and tasty but that night was horrible! They had Cous Cous ( which was soggy and lumpy) no taste. A bowl of Mixed salad, a bowl of boiled vege ( tasteless as well). The hot meals were Beef Curry ( beef was tough and so were the green beans), no asian dish at all but they had a tray of Prawn Crackers...did they run out of dish/.menu to supply/ or cook??? Gee...Prawn crackers to go with Beef curry or roast???? hahaha!!! The chef at the carving station handed me the remainder of bits and pieces of the chicken!! When they was a whole slab of roast chicken. How rude!! I told him, "I'm not having that!!" He then eventually cut me 2 nice slices of the Chicken roast! <br/>Desserts was a mess! Same ole menu, a waiter came along with a new plate of dessert and just placed it on top of the other half emptied plate! Yuk!<br/>Burswood...I recommend that you change the Head Chef and train your staff better!!!

Average. I would say become a club Burswood member first to knock off $5 because the food here is pretty average.<br/><br/>Its not that terrible, it taste about similar to what you would buy at Coles (like the coleslaw). There isn't a big selection of choice as to say the Atrium. All the dishes were average, the occasional good ones (mango mousse), a few bad ones (coleslaw) but being a buffet its OK. I'd probably come back here for the coffee refills, soup and ice cream!

Awful! Granted you can eat as much as you like but for almost $30 I expect a bit more! Very limited choice, pretty tasteless and fatty/gristely meat! Not impressed!

Great buffet for the price. We went to Carvers a few weeks ago and also joined up as Club Burswood members also. We were surprised how good the buffet was considering the amount of people at the restaurant. Hubby and i loved the roast pork and found the salads and vegies to be fresh and always refilled when low. The desserts were also good very similar to sizzlers but all in all it was great value for the $$$.<br/><br/>I wish there were another Carvers that was not as Burswood as the parking is a hassle.
Babe
Good service..but the food is very low quality..yes, can't expect much for a $20 buffet, won't come back.

Shocking. Appaling service: requested a table of 8 but given 2 tables of 4 split apart. We asked if we could move them together, and we were given the coldest, hardest, and unwelcoming "NO" imaginaginable. We moved them together and the supervisor came to us an requested we move them back apart 'as the staff had complained that we had moved the tables'<br/><br/>The food didn't lighten my spirits either. everything was tasteless and I was, and still am disgusted that they charge money for it. <br/><br/>The beef even looked like petrified wood, and the cracking pork was so hard that it could be used by the police for bulletproof material.<br/><br/>Unfortunately, even sizzlers is better than carvers.<br/><br/>Citizens of Perth and tourists to WA, Do not go there if you want a decent meal.

Good cheap buffet. This place serves delicious roast every time and it's great value for money. A good selection of food, a good queue system to cut down waiting time, and roast is carved to order. <br/><br/>Highlights of this place are the cottage pie and roast pork with a side of crackling, downfall of this place is when the meat is carved along the grain giving you a dry stringy piece of meat.<br/><br/>Dessert options are also great but I never leave enough space for it!

Excellent!. Great buffet, plenty of food and excellent service. All this for a little over 20 bucks! The best dining experience I have had in Perth for a very long time!

Value for money! Basic buffet but always enjoyable for the price. Good range of desserts. Always leave feeling satisfied.

Never again.. Had to wait about 40 mins to get in but I had been told about the wait so expected it. Out of all the food I tasted, there was nothing that I really liked. The chicken soup was watery, salty and tasteless. The pasta salad had a strange taste. The meat in the meat dishes was tough and fatty. The dessert could have come from the freezer section of the supermarket. Granted it was only $23.50, but it made me wish we decided to get fast food instead of coming here.

Cheap for a reason. Very cheap buffet, not sure you'd get cheaper anywhere else. But don't expect tasty food. Most of it is just slop, even the roast potatoes are not fresh but are mass produced frozen kind (sometimes still frozen in the middle). Not bad for a cheap meal if you prefer quantity over any kind of quality.

Very value for money - will def go again!. Good range of food and desserts tho slightly disappointed with the ice-cream. Filling to say the least. Noticed that they put out a new asian dish at about 7pm after we finished eating too but daamnit too full to try it out haha.. Very value for money cos it's only what, $15 for dinner for members? Just go sign up for Burswood membership it's free and u can get the discount immediately. In fact, they pay u $5 lol and Burswood sent my friends and I a free voucher to use at Carvers too = FREE MEAL yay!

Love the food, great price, cannot get better value for money. Pity they don't serve the chocolate pudding on week nights.
Noshbites
Staff were very quick to clear the tables of plates and the food buffets were regularly topped up. Overall the food was okay for the price, nothing I’d rush back for but if you consider you could eat as much as you liked it is an affordable meal out compared to the other restaurants at Burswood. Quantity over quality!
