Mediocre service, barely raised an eye to take our order, whilst she continued a discussion, with her colleague. Manners? Customer service etiquette? Neither of those qualities exist at this low standard venue. Food was bland, the decor is bland and the staff are.... You got it!
Go elsewhere, these type of venues have got away with it in Perth for far too long.
Mystery Diner
Local cafe. Went there for high tea in winter on a Sat. The place was not busy. The place is in the community centre. Parking was difficult and I ran the risk parking on the verge.
Setting: Very simple setting with an "outside" area with outdoor heater. There were fine china cup set.
Food: 2 tier and everything comes in 2. Sandwiches (vegetarian & salmon), quiche, tart with egg, cheese mousse (strawberry & Mango - i prefer mango), macaroni, choc brownie, cake slice and scones (with jam & cream). We each get a tea pot and refills were simple - just ask!
Price: Cheap for high tea but again the serving wasnt that big.
Service: Good. The wait person (maybe owner) was quite attentive.
Overall: Ok. It is more like a local cafe for a quick bite. It doesnt have the "high tea" feel to it.

I've purchased the scoopon voucher for 6 ppl and went there a month ago. We've received 2 tiers which can share 3 ppl for 1 tier. The presentation was absolutely perfect and they served the cucumber sandwiches which was the traditional that everyone who familiar with high tea will know, salmon cream cheese ,ham and egg I can say it was a rainbow sandwiches and the taste was better than the Duxton hotel that I had before. Scones were soft and fluffy served with jam and cream. For me,this price is more than reasonable price.what do you expect more?? Me and my friends were absolutely enjoy and will come back again :)

Great time had by All!. After reading the previous review, I went expecting the worst. I am happy to say it was unfounded. My 11 girlfriends and I had the most wonderful time. There was lots to eat and everything was just so tasty! The food was well presented and the three types of sandwiches were delicious- delicate cucumber sandwiches, ham and mustard and chickenand relish. Very typical and traditional sandwiches for a high tea.We loved the scones with jam and cream ( yes it wasn't whipped but so what?). There were macaroons, little strawberry and passionfruit tarts, and bite sized quiches.

The little filo tarts were also exceptional. We had no problems with refills for tea - just had to ask and it was done in a flash. What I do know is the High Tea was wonderful for the amount we paid on Scoopon and I would be most happy to go back again. Service was very attentive. 5 stars!
Simply Love Food
I went here with a few girlfriends on the weekend for high tea using a scoopon voucher. .. and I am sad to say it was the worst hightea experience I've ever had. We had two three tiered platters between 6 of us which was alot but at the end of it.. there was a lot of leftovers... only because the food was worst than a kids party. There were lots of sandwiches! ! Cucumber sandwich? ?? ... at a high tea. .. Ham sandwiches. ..??? I was a little excited to see scones.. only to realise they served it with jam and thick cream whatever happened to whipped cream? ?.. surely that's not too much to ask? I chose orange pekoe tea and it tasted like Chinese tea.. We got one small pot between 3 of us. .. that was it. .no refills. Overall very disappointing and I certainly would not recommend it to anyone.

Quality Service, Food & Good Price. I have been here a few times since I live nearby. I love the coffee here. The friendly staff always top it up with a tiny macaroon that lifts up everyone's day. The colourful macaroon is so yummy and has become one of the reasons I get my coffee from there during weekends. The food are not overly priced. The cakes are delicious but not the pumpkin bread.

Some nice cakes & biscuits. The coffee is made reasonably well but I think the Bonissimo coffee beans lets them down. They could improve the decor as its quite bland. It needs to have more warmth & be more welcoming. In a pleasant spot next to the Mt Claremont Library.

Love it. Love the fact that there are no crowds when I am rushing to work. Very pleasant staff who are already remembering my coffee order. Macaroons are gorgeous and Melting Moments are devine!!
Will be back - frequently!!

Good coffee and service. Right next to the Mt Claremont library so I go here to buy my coffee fairly regularly. The coffee is consistently good, the cakes are nice and the service is excellent unlike most cafes in Perth.

The majority of Perth’s best Patisseries are closed on Sundays, so this raises the question of where to go for a sweet treat and coffee???? Tucked away in the beautiful suburb of Mt Claremont is La Mousse Cafe and Patisserie. We initially drove right past it, looking for a street front cafe however it is actually part of the Mt Claremont Community Centre. You do not have to walk through the Centre to access the cafe, it is right out front. There is outdoor and indoor seats, in summer alfresco covered seating. We sat outside in the sun surrounded by the beautiful native Australian gardens. Long Mac We ordered our usual coffees - Cappuccino ($4.00) and Long Mac ($4.20). I was impressed by the presentation and quick service of the coffees, the mini macaroon was a nice touch. The coffees today were perfect – cream, temperature and strength all in harmony. There was no need for the sugar. DD even ordered a second one. The Macarons are homemade and so of course w
