This place is good for a mix up of South American food. Food always taste good and staff are always nice. Nice chill out environment with latin tunes cranking

La Playa cafe certainly doesn't play around.

The food is delicious, trying both the Frijoles Mexicanos with Chorizo and the Patacon Latino with Smashed Avocado I was very impressed.

The staff are very friendly and the food is prepared quite quickly, can highly recommend to anyone looking for something a little different but still authentic around Subi.

Very rarely does South American food come to us in anything more than franchises or packaged store bought meals and dips.

But lucky are the residents and workers of Subiaco for they now have La Playa.

A blend of many flavours from South America (including Columbia), the friendly wait staff and cook are there to offer you the best from that region.

I've had the grilled chicken skewers (pardon my lapse use of the official name on the menu), their fritters as well as their snacks! All delivered to superb quality at very sensible portions and prices.

The venue is clean, the ingredients used are fresh and most important of all this is not something most of us would make at home. It's worth "eating out" here as you're actually getting something different that satisfies.

Move over Mad Mex and Zambreros - Latin American food isn't just burritos.

Now brax has turned itself in to a south american style cafe!!!!new owners are very nice and the coffee is amazing....best in subi!!! I went to try the patacon latino which is slow cooked beef with fried plantain,it was water in your mouth..a must try!! And the alfresco area outside is very nice with fake grass and nice tables and chairs.

I get a coffee from these guys nearly every Monday morning. It's consistently delicious, and the staff are so very lovely and friendly at 6:45 in the morning - a feat I'm not sure I'm capable of! Their brekkie roll and coffee deal is brilliant too - I love breakfast for under a tenner. I also love their use of the Rewardle card and app, it's such a great incentive for repeat customers! Definitely visit these guys if you're in the area - they're worth it.

Love the Steak burger, great coffee and excellent customer service. A little tucked away hidden gem in Subiaco. Definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended.

Gotta say the revelation with this place is the "mini offerings". Its the best idea ever ... mini bagels, mini breakkie croissants.... it's the full taste blast without the food coma and the prices are considerably good. Coffee is strong, hot and good. Heaps better that what was there before and competitively priced.
