Review Noren, Sushi And Skewer Bar - Perth

My close friend and I went here for dinner after work yesterday night and it was fabulous. The place was so beautiful, we both complimented on the atmosphere. The waitress that was bringing out our foods and drinks was lovely and polite. We ordered the grilled cheese katsu chicken sushi and the salmon avocado sushi and it was so delicious that we ordered them twice! We also ordered the soft shell crab hand roll, and that was really delicious as well. The skewers were interesting, beef and enoki mushroom skewer and the chicken skin skewer. I wouldn't order them again but I'd be interested to try the other skewers as I enjoy trying new foods. My friend has never tried plum wine before and it's one of my favourite drinks so I asked her to try and she highly raved about it and ordered it twice. Overall 10/10

At first i didnt think it will be amazing food. I orders some grills, fried rice and really delicious creamy udon with scallop. Probably will comeback again.

A lovely place providing comfortable service with friendly staff. Well presented dishes, tasted standard. My 2 years old toddler keep "wow"-ing when she saw the assorted sashimi although she was not having it. I loved the assorted sashimi which gave me different kind of taste and texture in well thickness cut. They didn't have king fish tonight but replaced it with another portion of scallop. My first time trying wasabi marinated octopus, exciting mouth feel. Many skewers choices; however a bit plain by themselves so may need dipping source. Beef hotpot was the other way, too salty. Hope they can give a better balance next time. Overall experience was satisfying especially when we miss Japan but not able to travel.

Best sushi I’ve tried in Australia and even better service! Really helpful, attentive and friendly. I’m looking forward to coming back here again (and I didn’t leave yet 😅) The girls are just awesome! I’ve had a really good day but this sushi was atomic! You girls made me the happiest woman on earth ❤️ Thanks for everything

Nov 2020 update: Sushi train is closed since covid. We tried the beef sukiyaki, at $25.50 it was a satisfying amount for 2 people and there were quite a few slices of beef. Best part was the Udon, the noodles went perfectly with the sukiyaki broth! Unfortunately the beef was a bit tough and grisly, and an egg is $2 extra, otherwise would rate 5 stars. Overall pretty nice for a cold evening! -- Came for a quick bite before a show, all plates are $3.90 which for the quality wasn't a fantastic deal but it was okay. Food was fine but not amazing, minimal level of service from the staff. Overall it was okay, and would recommend if you're already in the area and want something small and quick to tide you over.

We know this place from instagram - from the photos, I can see their menu are tempting. King fish were nice! Udon wasn't salty. Chicken gizzard were tender. The food service was pretty quick. Bento box was okay - rice wasn't japanese short grain. Staff were friendly. The bench seatings have foot rests - it provides convenience while eating.

Great place to share food with friends. The chicken skewers were a fun surprise as one was cooked extremely spicy! 🤣 Great selection of sake and Soju.

Finally I have found a late night joint that isn't the usual post-club feed in Chinatown. Ordered a mixture of both hot and fresh/cold food and on both occasions felt that they were prepared very well. A nice selection of BBQ skewers. Highly recommend the shio pork belly, Wagyu beef and scallops. Sashimi was fresh on the first visit, however the second visit it didn't seem as fresh. The rest of the menu items were just standard Japanese fare. Service is friendly, quick and attentive. Recommended for groups of up to 6 people if seated at one table. Plenty of bar seating. If you're feeling a quiet meal at night, this should be on the list. Have returned a couple of times now and my guests have all left satisfied. Will definitely return again.

Had a mixture of sushi, skewers and mackerel. Sushi was ok. Skewers were decent. Mackerel was underwhelming. Nice place, friendly staff. Everything was ok. Had worse, had better.

Went tonight with my husband and two children. The food was really really good! Fantastic customer service and great value for money. All their sushi plates are $3.90. Sashimi was fresh and cooked foods we cooked perfectly (especially the mackerel).
Their yakitori was also cooked nicely. Will 100% be back again!

Went there with my wife and son when they first opened. We went there because they were promoting their skewers menu. Unfortunately the meats on the skewers lacked any sort of char or colour. The chicken skewers meat was white rather than being browned

The staffs are quite friendly but the foods are bad quality. What i had ordered was salmon avocado salad but the avocado was rotten. Besides, the cucumber in the California sushi was rotten and hard to be swallowed. Try next restaurant if you have enough budget!😌(Advise to restaurant owner: buy some fresh ingredients and customers will come again!)

Lunch on Saturday with student doing exams. Revolving shushi train and skewers. We had pork skewers. Hot & juicy. Bit salty. The sushi was $3.90 per plate on sushi train. Small serving so good for us on a low carb diet. The udon was small bowl but SMM could not finish. So i shared some of the udon. Plenty of soup. Food suites a beer drinking party.

“Food” was horrible. I call it “food” because disease-ridden trash is not food. We both have food poisoning.

Crab claws had a strong smell, so even for frozen claws they’ve been hanging around for a while.
“Crab meat” inari was seafood extender.
Spicy chicken bao was cold, bao was not fluffy, and the chicken was hard.
Pork skewer had the boar taint smell and was hard, all their skewers are overpriced.

Don’t know how this place has good reviews. Not visiting again.

I guess you get what you pay for! The sushis are so tiny, seems like kids meal size. Although each dish seems cheap but they are so tiny they are not filling. Mushroom skewer is tasteless, no seasoning at all. Won’t return again.

Sushi here is cheap but not outstanding in terms of taste. Tried the unagi nigiri but the sweet sauce drizzle on the unagi was too overwhelming. The aburi salmon roll was alright but not special. You can order your sushi through the iPad or grab it off the sushi train, which makes it really convenient.

New kid on the block for a sushi train restaurant!

Restaurant is well kept and extremely clean, which is a super plus for a germaphobe like me 👀

THE GOOD
The price of 3.90 for majority of the plates were a major pull factor, and for the price the food was actually delightful. The sushi plates and rolls were all of good size and tasted as well as jaws for some. 💰💰💰
Seared salmon is my go to for every Japanese restaurant, this has to be the best salmon-plate I had for the price of 3.90!!☺️
The Katsu pork with sweet miso is a must try and extremely soft with well balanced sauce.

THE MEH
Would give the skewers a miss, the prawns were small, unagi was mush and scallops were meh. The yakitori was satisfactory but could be better.

Giving it a 4 because of the hygienic factor and affordable price for the yummy sushi plates. reckon they should focus on the sushi in the future 🍣
