pretty good for a maccas but they do always get something wrong if you drive thru. but they deal with it nicely. recommend dining in, or always checking your food before driving off.
Good Maccas. Seems reasonable to me. Never had anything greatly bad go there. It's a bloody Maccas!
Enchanting end to a wonderful evening. Myself and four friends were advised to exit the Wembley hotel at approximately 12am on a Friday night. A polite foreign gentleman from the south Asian sub-continent taxied us to the dining establishment McDonald's in Jolimont for the princely sum of $21. We swiftly saluted this gentlemen goodbye and later rued this decision after realising the restaurant's dine-in seating area was closed.
After approaching the drive through window on foot, another but substantially younger, polite gentleman from the south Asian sub-continent informed us that he was unable to serve us unless we re-approached the window in a motor vehicle. Surprisingly a successful outcome was negotiated; allaying both his grave fears of our mortal danger on the asphalted expressway and our now elevated fears of starvation: We would rally, out of harms way, to behind the bushes, wait for all the cars to fully dissipate and then, only when the coast was clear, send our least inebriated emissary over the driveway to make the transaction. The plan worked. We retreated back to our safe staging post and when given the signal, collected our many bags and plastic drinking horns of sweet nourishment and hastened to the surprisingly empty outdoor eating terrace.
This area, by day only, is known as the entrance of Red Rooster. It is a perfectly elevated, pseudo-tuscan style verandah for a spontaneous midnight picnic. Backlit by the white-blueish glow of the fridges inside, we ate our edible prizes as we watched the procession of headlights streaming through the drive through from up high.
Well over the distant chatter of the ordering speakerbox and the rumbling of vehicles, the spirited dinner conversation and light horseplay with pickles and icecubes that night was proof enough to me, the universal allure of this establishment.
Therefore, I have no reservation in attributing a substantial part of the success of this memorable evening and the subsequent recuperation on Saturday morning to the team at McDonald's Jolimont for quickly orchestrating 5 meals with high energy, sodium and fructose content to those who are hammered and hungry, without a motor vehicle, in the early hours of the morning.
