We had a ball at Rigbys, the services was wonderful and the best value meal Iv had in a long time.
Could not be more pleased.
I really do recommend coming too see a few of the exciting new shows as well.
They really do make you laugh.
Perth needs more places like this!

Heard alot about this $10 steak so I decided to pop down for lunch with a couple of work colleges on a Friday. Was quite surprised to see how many people were there considering all the reviews on this site. We couldn't get a table when we turned up it was that busy, so we decided to line up and place our order. By the time we ordered and purchased our drinks the staff there had already cleared 1/3 of the tables in the beer garden. To my surprise as soon as we sat down our meals were ready in only 10 minutes of getting there. Honestly I expected my steak to be tough and fatty for $10 but it was amazing. Cooked medium with chips and gravy!! I might even go back there everyday, it's cheaper than cooking at home. Great credit goes out to the staff for there service and for the venue to bring back bargains for this over priced city. You will see me and my mates a lot more often Rigbys! We'll done

We went there last night for the 3 courses and a show and we had a blast. The entrée was spinach with 3 pieces of feta and 3 pieces of well overdone cold pumpkin with a balsamic dressing. The main chicken breast with a vegetable fritata and parsley garlic sauce (which my husband really enjoyed) and dessert was the famed frozen profiteroles. So not super food but we didn't go there expecting anything better so we were pleasantly surprised that it was edible. Other diners had purchased a ticket then ordered off menus and their food looked like decent pub fare and reasonably priced. Next time we go (because we will return) we will be wiser. Skip the set menu and order something you will enjoy. Be open minded about the show. Much fun to be had.

Tas. My husband and I went for dinner theatre last night.....we had a great night! I was a bit doubtful after reading some of the reviews.....but, really? We had pumpkin soup - which was hot and tasty. Then a chicken breast on mash with broccoli and a subtle spicy sauce - adequate portion, hot and enjoyable. Then for dessert were two profiteroles which were not frozen as some others have stated...in fact, topped off the meal nicely.
As for the show...where else could you get such value for money? With such an eclectic mix of artists we had great laughs and gasps! Have an open mind people.

As so many other posts suggest the food at Rigby's is one or two steps below awful, and I can confirm frozen profiteroles and superlatively bland chicken breast.

However... If you go to Rigby's you are certainly aware of it's less-than-stellar culinary reputation and thus have absolutely no reason to complain. Rigby's maintained its reputation this evening and therefore met my expectations. I could not eat the chicken, but I loved it anyway.

Fantastic night of appalling food and great entertainment!

Cheap pub food. It is disappointing to read how bad the set menu is for cabaret nights as there are not many cabaret/dinner venues operating in Perth. The old days of the Civic Theatre et al only served cafeteria standard food but in 2013 and for $95 I agree they should do better.
I went there after work on Friday with a friend on a budget and we ordered the $10 rump steak. The bar attendant didn't ask how we wanted the steak cooked and I assumed (rightly judging from previous reviews) that there wouldn't be a choice. My friend panicked that it might be bloody (as it hsould be) - I assured him it would most likely be well done . Sure enough, the steaks were well-cooked but still slightly pink - one more than the other. However, the flavour was so yummy (also the gravy) and they were not tough - so for the price I wasn't disappointed. The chips were also delicious. So for those of us not on mining salaries - I was happy to find a nice venue in the CBD I could get a feed for $10 on a Friday evening.

Room for improvement. I went here with some colleagues. It's a bit confusing that the bar and bistro are so separate. The bistro is downstairs even though they have an amazing outdoor area.

Half of us ordered the lunch special. I ordered the egg plant parmi. Service was good at the start of the meal. The waitress was nice and efficient. Our food came out in good time. The food was yummy.

The only two criticisms I have is:
1.) It's not a great location in the building. It doesn't take advantage of the space but the mirrors help make the room bigger.
2.) Service pretty much died at the end of the meal. Nobody came to clear our plates, give us the bill or anything. There was a good 5 minute window when we could have easily have left without paying. This is disappointing because we were there during lunchtime in the CBD.

However, I would be back as the food was yummy and a pretty good deal, and when the waitress felt like working - she was great.
