Review Caffissimo - Perth

Geoff Styles
Neat clean tidy West Perth lunch spot with really great coffee. Lunch was a pizza to share, Caesar salad, and side of onion rings, all great, we finished the lot.. highly recommend. Did I mention the coffee....wow. I think West Perth is becoming the go-to for good coffee as is the second outstanding cup I have enjoyed in the precinct and I am a diehard telegram, Noble beast, Rubra, bolt fan.

Crema is a bit of a West Perth icon. The coffee, food and service is great, with the options to either sit outdoors or in the tastefully decorated interior. The prices are a little higher than average, but that certainly doesn't stop it from being one of my top choices for business or social meetings.

Stopped in here for breakfast - Lovely service, comfortable seating and great decor. Crema Cafe is open super early so I cannot say what it is like here when it is busy, as there was only two other groups of people there when I visited. Chai latte was strong and sweet (just how I like it) and the eggs benedict was delicious! Price wise I would say it is $$-$$$, however definitely worth the time to stop by and grab a bite to eat

I've been here a few times now and it's always consistently great. I always have the marinara because the flavour is exactly as it should be, complex with a touch of chilli. One time they over did the chili but every other time it's been perfect. My very fussy mother had the Caesar salad recently and said it was the best she'd ever had so it must have been very good indeed. The staff are always friendly and efficient. It's become a favorite every time we're in West Perth.

We've had breakfast here three mornings in one week, so it must be good! Great coffee and poached eggs, and the most wonderful staff member who has made us feel welcome and special every morning. Thank you.

I asked the waitress what she recommended and it resulted in some smart questions about the type of food I preferred. We agreed on a creamy pasta and I was extremely happy with the dish I was served. The waitress knew the menu well and the food was served promptly and I chose a to add a good helping of parmesan and cracked pepper. The fresh fruit drink that was suggested had a beautiful spoke of ginger and was extremely refreshing. I am very happy to recommend this cafe as a great location for lunch when you are in the area. It is bright, friendly and as has a great atmosphere and a lovely view of the street and the people passing by.

Not good, not bad. Definite middle-of-the-road food here, with a price point to match. Don't let the mid/high prices fool you - portion sizes are good. I paid $23 for a burger, and was impressed with the amount of food that was delivered about 20 minutes later. The food itself, though, was not especially good. I had a pulled pork filling - which was at least mostly overcooked, and tasted like it had been stewed. Crisp, fresh tasting veggies saved the burger - probs to the kitchen for their good looking produce. My partner and I noticed way too much salt on some otherwise delicious looking chips (like seriously, check out the photo). This was disappointing, and we couldn't eat more than a few before we each felt a bit grossed out. Service was fine, typical busy café stuff. This isn't a recommendation, but you could definitely do worse.

Loved the taste of the crepes. Unique product.

Why is Caffissimo still a thing? all franchises have been a shame for so many years. I feel bad for the little owners. Terrible coffees, terrible food.

You know when your close to a real coffee experience when you can smell it roasting 100 m away.
I had the Golden Bean awarded house blend Cafina, apparently it has won a national award every year.
They have their own coffee bean shop where you can watch your favorite bean being roasted and packed for you. All the famous beans are available, Kenyan, Colombian, New Guinea etc. This place has history, started in 1978 by a coffee guru from Sydney who began roasting and serving incredible coffee when the rest of us were still suffering 43 instant beans in every cup.
The tradition continues today, the fact that you can escape to the garden alfresco, listen to live artist strumming a few favorites while enjoying wonderful fresh food is just a bonus :)
The coffee experience must inspire these guys as they now packing compostable coffee capsules onsite with their award winning roasted coffee! A first for Perth.
Whats next! I cant wait....

We ordered lunch from the office. Marilyn burger was amazing, will definitely order again. Great takeaway meals. Food came fast too. Look forward to trying more menu items!

The coffee is beautiful, and the coffee art is some of the best that I have ever seen. I was well impressed to see that my macchiato had the word ‘Enjoy’ creatively drawn on top of the froth. It is the small details that make a place memorable, and this small detail made me smile.

Caffissimo serve more than just excellent coffee. They also import premium quality teas and serve gourmet meals and tasty treats. They have a large range of sandwiches and rolls that will have you salivating at the counter. The fun part about the food is that there is no set menu. Each day is a new day and there will be new and exciting freshly made goods waiting for you each morning.

The setting is amazing; there are plants everywhere, which helps to create a feeling of ease. It feels like you are alone with your thoughts in a special secret garden that is separate from the city. The service is flawless, the staff all smile at you as you enter the premises, and will smile at you again as they hand over your ordered goods.

The café is the perfect place to meet friends for morning tea, or take a client out for business, or treat a co-worker to a mid-afternoon-slump coffee. It is perfect for any occasion, and it is so ambient that it would also be the perfect spot for sipping a cup of freshly brewed herbal tea and reading the newspaper on your own.

Great coffee, food and atmosphere. This place is awesome. Food is fresh, coffee to die for and a warm + friendly atmosphere. The staff are really good. The owner actually took time out to ask us if everything was ok and to our satisfaction - which is so rare to see in Perth.
Definitely a must visit and don't be surprised if you make this your favorite and a regular place to visit like I have.

Not the worse.... The coffee is what is expected of a chain store - fairly average and nothing really stands out. It is probably on the robust side rather than weak and burnt.. I would say it is robust and bitter. Possibly grinding the beans too fine or the roast too fresh? Not sure.. my coffee knowledge is limited.
The service is quite friendly, really likeable manager and her passion shows.

Not sure how anyone could say this is the worse coffee in west perth when there are places like croissant express and lunchbox making coffee also.. Although this cafe can't compare to the coffee favourites of west perth - it still rates a lot higher than a lot of the rubbish thats in the area.

Fantastic coffee - my new favorite coffee place in West Perth. Keep it up.

Not sure why coffee here is rated so highly. Have worked in West Perth for years and tried coffee maybe 5 times over the years here and always the same problem - coffee tastes burnt or too weak and others have commented the same and is overpriced for a very small serving. They recently featured in the Sat West advising how to make a good coffee and roast beans - sorry but I rate you possibly the worst coffee in West Perth and easy worst Caffissimo anywhere. You could find out how a good coffee tastes - try Pranzo down the road!

What a gem.. Just started working in West Perth - one of my new colleagues took me to lunch today. We went to Caffissimo in Colin Street, West Perth. It was hidden away back from the road but what a find. A fantastic atmosphere both inside in the old building or under these magnificent trees. The staff were great- they seemed to have a great understanding of their customers. I chose what was described to me as their "famous chicken pie" and a long mac.

Well the pie caught me by surprise - not only did it actually have chicken in it, but large chunks of chicken breast, it went down an absolute treat. The long mac - I went to Pony Express yesterday as recommended and I thought the coffee was excellent. However when I compare it to this long mac I have to say that Caffissimo's long mac was much, much better. It stayed with me the entire afternoon.

I'll be back Caffissimo West End Village

Mark
Mystery Diner
Not as impressive as I thought.... Went there for lunch on a very hot day. It was hot inside the cafe so we decided to sit outside - still hot.
Food: Spinach quiche served with salad. Generous serving (a large rectangular piece) but the quiche was dry.
Service: Didn't wait too long for food so it was good.
Atmosphere: Cottage style cafe. A bit squashy.
Overall: I didn't enjoy the meal.

Mobile Review. Found this place with some friends while we were walking around Perth trying to get breakfast at 11:30am on a Wednesday. They were more than happy to still serve it to us at that time which was awesome! The food was great, prices were awesome and the service was incredibly friendly!
Definitely going to go back there next time I'm in Perth! 10/10

Lovely, quaint cafe, excellent coffee and food. Coffee is roasted on site, and the smell of it as you come near is intoxicating! These owners are truly interested in running a good business and work hard to do it well. Great food - their bread and rolls are exceptional - and it's a lovely little place to hang out.

These guys understand different beans and are very knowledgeable about acidity, roasting times etc. well worth getting out of your comfort zone and trying something different, beans and coffee are good. Give it a go.

Love the coffee,. Came accross this cafe walking through West Perth. As it is set back from the street it is easily missed. I am glad i found it. This place is passionate about their coffee and actually roast their own beans. The coffee is fantastic., Great location, sitting in the courtyard area it was easy to forget about time. I certainly will be back as the coffee was great and the food looked scrumptious.

Great coffee. I came across this place during the Christmas break - it was still open when most of the rest couldn't be bothered - but to my surprise the coffee was great. Great atmosphere inside and outside, friendly staff. The coffee wa smooth and flavoursome at just the right temperature. It is also very well priced, I have picked up their loyalty card that makes it even cheaper. I have given my local the flick and now go here daily..Thanks
Sammy
The competition in west Perth is crazy.. U guys need to lift your game and make better coffee I'm afraid.

Loyal customer. I myself have been to this cafe on numerous occasions and have always had a pleasant experience. the coffee is great and i think compared to so many other cafes, very decently priced, most places charge in excess of $4, whereas here it is only $4, which isnt bad considering the good quality.the other reviewer is obviously used to getting their coffee from more reasonably priced places such as McDonalds.
ive had the food also, and it was delicious and healthy, with a good amount of fillings, and most importantly, made fresh everyday. you can tell that the owners at caffissimo really care about their customers by the amount of effort theyve put in to the business in such a small amount of time

AMAZING COFFE AND GREAT FOOD. I have been visiting this cafe for the past 10 years and have seen a couple of owners in this time. I am impressed how much work the current owners have put in to making the cafe a much more modern place without losing its charm. The coffee has improved remarkingly and is one of the cheapest still around. ( would be happy to pay more for great coffee) the food is far from blend, if anything i love having my lunch there, its cheap for the quality! the comment made by the previous person, as a business man myself its ludicrous and even rude to contemplate taking your lunch somewhere, where they sell lunch, i was there that day , and this person did not eat lunch neither did his mates, sharing one or so drink amongst them, so not sure how he can comment on the food, and needs to have a look at the coffee prices as 3.50 for great coffee is far from overpriced. i heard the comments that were made and think this person is being vindictive. i, who regular et there and habe my daily brew would recommend this place. i never leave review but felt this warranted one!
