Person with face tattoos working at the grill was working in socks and had headphones in the entire time, did not appear to be listening to the other workers- poor hygiene. Food was very good though, spicy salsa is genuinely spicy. Pork is recommended, as are fajitas 👍

Such a great experience as a customer! I was served by a lovely and helpful young gentleman named Thomas. The food was quick and delicious and made with care, the store was well kept and clean. Nothing but good things to say about this place, definitely will be coming back 😊

Ordered a quesadilla today, halfway through eating I found a piece of chicken foot with the skin on and everything. This just shows the quality of chicken they get. Wasn't keen on mad mex before this but will never go back.

Casual mexican restaurant serving mainly burrito, tacos & enchillada with choices of meat fillings (beef, pork, chicken) then add the salsa (choice of mild to extra hot and if it's not hot enough you can also splash more at the table) and freshly made guacamole. Value for money for the taste and portion.

Really tasty food. You can spice it up even further with the Habanero sauce. 3chilies on this label. Hopefully all will be well tomorrow 🤣🤣🌶️🌶️🌶️ Great Variety on the menu and a very friendly male staff member served me. I'll be back for sure. Air conditioning was fabulous too.

Stopped by for a quick meal with a friend after work. Walking in, the place looks pretty tired with old peeling leatherette chairs (& I don’t mean the hipster kind) and tables that were a bit grimy. Despite my better judgement, we went ahead & ordered the quesadillas and the grande melt with chicken, both which were remarkably bland & unmemorable (but not terrible). An hour later and my stomach was letting me know it wasn’t just the tables that weren’t clean - I’m guessing the food was not fresh and had been sitting there for quite some time. Service was polite & friendly though...my first and last Mad Mex experience.

We ordered the meal deal option for 4 on uber eats which included a burrito each, a handful of plain chips with a tiny dip and paper thin 1/4 cheese quesadilla each. When the food arrived you could see the clear size difference between one of the burritos despite it being the same price as the rest. Also most annoyingly, No note was written on each burrito to let us know which had which filling until it was bitten into. Very frustrating !!

Love mad mex and I'm repeat customer for the Subiaco store, while I was in Claremont doing some shopping I thought I'd try out the store here.<br/><br/>Unfortunately it's nothing like I'm used to and the quality of service isn't synonymous between all franchises. <br/><br/>First of all very stingy, portions given were terrible especially for the price. (Pictures is a chicken quesadilla with added onions, capsicum and apparently I wasn't allowed corn because it's only for vegetarians)<br/><br/>Lack of customisation that is usually never a problem. <br/><br/>Will not return to this particular location.<br/><br/>Staff were nice but they need to learn to be more generous.

Not usually one To leave bad reviews but just payed $17 for a 'Naked Burrito' bowl and am really pissed off. Payed for extra meat because the serving of chicken was so stingy. The salad servings were also really stingy. Payed extra $2 for a small tablespoon of guac. Wasn't even assembled nicely in the bowl, the food was just chucked in and looked like a dogs breakfast when I went to pay. Boyfriends burrito also went about the same way. Didn't look anything like the photo. Really annoyed and will stick to Grill'd next door or drive to Zambreros. <br/><br/>The guy was friendly at least.

Fast and friendly service! I enjoyed my naked burrito with beef, it had just the right balance of ingredients and spicy meant spicy. Oh, did you know they now serve wine?

I ordered a veggie quesadilla, yet one bite quickly revealed I was given a factory-farmed chicken quesadilla*.<br/><br/>Consequently, I had to wait a significant amount of time to eat. The wait for the first one wasn't particularly impressive, either.<br/><br/>The veggie quesadilla was meagre and underwhelming. It should probably just be renamed the cheap cheese quesadilla instead.<br/><br/>One staff member seemed genuinely concerned and was apologetic. Though, the apology was the only remedy to the issue the staff offered.<br/><br/>*It's quite ironic that Zomato lists vegetarian friendly and vegan as highlights. If you are vegetarian or vegan, I would only recommend you eat here if you secretly love eating meat.

Not a big fan of mexican but a definite convert after their chicken nachos! Fresh salsa complimented with the melted cheese..usually an entire nachos is too much for me to finish but it was so tasty I wolfed it all down, regret came with the bloated heavy feeling after. The quesadillas are too cheesy for me. Now on the hunt for a mexican place with free guac..now that would be an instant five star!

Disappointing!. 6 staff standing around doing nothing.................well actually, one was on his phone texting! Tables were dirty as was the floor. Everything disposable...........including cutlery........so no care for the environment. Food was very average........won't be returning and wouldn't recommend it!

Easy to get to. Always go for the burrito - i love the tortilla. comparable to gyg, but definitely better than salsa.

Been here a few times as its convenient, the food isn't bad. The last couple of times have been a bit off putting, there is a big guy that works there he's from New Zealand I think... he always looks at me it's a bit creepy and I heard him say something quite sexist to his work mate when I last went. All in all not bad for the price but don't appreciate staff behaving in that manner. Won't be back any time soon.

I came in for lunch, Grilled was busy, and was met with a high level of good service - that was a surprise. The churros? Fresh donut sticks with dipping chocolate... ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! They were hot and I was asked if I wanted them with or after my meal. It really made my lunch special. I'm definitely coming back!

Fresh and Fantastic. I went to the new Mad Mex in Claremont on the weekend. Being a keen lover of all Mexican food I was weary of previous reviews. However I was delighted with all aspects. The staff were enthusiastic and super friendly, the food was fresh, delicious and authentic and the store was lovely with a good vibe. I would recommend to anyone.

Mad for Mad Mex!. Love Mad Mex- don't agree with the previous reviewers. Mad Mex does not profess itself to be high end dining, but it's tasty, quick service meals are definitely a step up from Hungry Jacks.<br/><br/>I found the place clean, yummy and family friendly. Love a bit of guac!

BAD FOOD!!!!. We went to this restaurant today for lunch. We ordered crispy nachos, burritos and quesadilla all with chicken. The food was not fresh and chicken was disgusting. We paid $40 for this food. This kind of food doesn't fit for claremont quaters shoppers. It was like another HUNGRY JACK food place located in an upmarket shopping complex. <br/><br/>STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE IF YOU WANT TO HAVE DECENT LUNCH!!!!

The Best Quesadilla!. So happy they have opened a Mexican in Claremont! The service is so friendly and the food always so good and filling! Try the fresh guacamole too! Its amazing!
