dishes are authetic, with nice decor too. Lovely indian food plating and flavours!
We had dinner here last night. Good Indian food not too spicy though. We started with the Gobi Manchurian which is cauliflower cooked Indian Chinese style. It was nice and crispy.
For mains we had the paneer do pyaz, cottage cheese in a tomato onion sauce with cream. We had the fenugreek, potato parathas and plain rotis as accompaniment. The paneer was well cooked, I personally would have preferred more spice or lime for tangy flavour. The fenugreek parathas was something you could eat on its own. The rotis too were well cooked.
Meal cost was 46$ but we did have an entree too. Nice ambience and helpful staff.

My first Indian restaurant in Australia that was clean, trendy, nice and airy. The lunch specials are good if you want a light meal. Should throw in a bit of salad on the plate and or a sweet to make it like a mini thali. Options on the lunch special were - chicken hara masala, lamb chettinad and daal fry accompanied with an option of naan or roti or rice. Takeaway lunch boxes should have the option of more than 1 curry.
The service was friendly and prompt. We chose to order the banquet and the staff was very helpful in explaining the dishes.
The curry puffs and onion fritter type things weren't the best I've had - I expected them to be more crispier than they were but the accompanying dipping sauces (tamarind and coriander) were quite pleasant. The different curries provided were quite nice and the raita, papadums and naan bread welcome additions.
Overall was a pleasant evening.
Great place. The host was chatty and friendly, which made our dining experience extra special that night. We ordered the mixed meat platter as entree - yum. I also had the cottage cheese curry as a main - yum. We substituted basmati rice with the vegetable briyani, once again - yum. I'll definitely be back.
Warm and cozy in the cold weather, with an attractive décor, Flavours of India is a great pick in the Woden CBD for a weekday lunch. Sharing a couple of dishes, breads and rice works well, without being too filling. One of each between every two people works well (dishes are big enough for up to six to share, but double up when you need to).
Flavours of India at the corner of the Westfield Mall, is one of Woden’s best central lunch spots for groups sharing dishes. Three dishes, three serves rice and three breads is a good amount to order for six modest appetites. Good choices are the Butter Chicken $17.90. Aloo Palak (or Paneer Palak would be very good too) $15.50
Flavours of India on the corner of the Westfield Mall is a convenient lunch location for Woden workers. It is carpeted and quite, usually not crowded and has a pleasant setting and atmosphere. Currently it offers some good lunch specials starting at $10.90 for two curries (chef’s choice, one veg one non-veg) and either rice or naan...
Average Indian food. The food is nice but pretty average. They do a weekday lunch time special for under $20 where you get to choose any dish off a specific menu and it is accompanied by rice and naan. They also used to do a buffet lunch special with 5 curries, rice, naan and an entree but I'm not sure if this is still the case. Nice decor inside and quite spacious. Friendly and professional service.
Good food, but slow service, and value for money only average. Nice surrounds. Peshwari Naan, Gosht Hara Masala both excellent.
Best place in ACT for authentic Indian cuisine. We had ordered vegetarian food and were delighted with the taste, the ambience and the service. Normally in Indian restaurants, all dishes taste similar but Flavours of India presented the dishes in their authentic tastes. The owners are quite approachable and down to earth. The staff is also well-trained. Would come back again.
Wish you all the best!
Can't explain enough for the good customer service and best food. We went for dinner on last Friday and oh my god the welcome done by the manager itself was awesome. Fun environment and food was yummy. Felt like family member and 100% going there again.
Excellent food with a lot of variety. The manager himself is such a kind and generous person. He himself deals with the customers. Price is reasonable. Ambience is top notch. The place is highly recommended. I would certainly love to go again along with my friends and family.
This place is underrated for sure ! I went with my friends today, we ordered dal makhani, paneer butter masala, chickpeas, veg biryani, chicken korma and garlic naan. Each and everything was so appetising 😋😋 Cheers to the good staff 👏🏻👏🏻 Don’t miss their “Almond Pista Kulfi” 🤗
great authentic Indian food, the chilli chicken here was absolutely my favourite dish out of them all. Staff were very polite, attentive and helpful. definitely worth a check!
Excellent potion sizes, delicious curries, tender Lamb Madras, fluffy rice and Mixed Dahl was ample for two persons sharing. Would definitely recommend.
