Paolos

Love this restaurant.The beautiful service.Amazing food.Everytime I go to Paolos it is always excellent.The chocolate mousse is out of this world!!!I highly recommend.

As I entered, Paulo and Antoine were busily preparing for the evening. While I had never set foot in this establishment, both owners immediately smiled and greeted me with friendly and genuine smiles of someone who is greeting a dear friend that they haven’t seen in many years. Paulo came to me, shook my hand and welcomed me. I was immediately transported to their home, not a restaurant. Antoine sat me and gave me a breakdown as to what was special and I quickly chose the Marinara with Penne Pasta. I accepted her brilliant offer to try each type of their bread and eagerly waited for the arrival of the culinary gifts that were promised. The bread arrived and I was surprised by the quantity. The slices were of very high quality, perfectly flavoured and cooked with the exactness of a skilled chef. Perfectly crunchy and yes gentle. Utterly sublime. Soon after the bread arrived, with a speed that astounded me, the main landed. WOW! The aroma was perfection! The penne pasta was delicate and gentle to the palette. A light garlic flavour blessed the exceptionally fresh seafood with a quiet aura that was neither over powering or lacking. It was in a single word, perfect. Every morsel made me long for the next. Nothing was missed. This impromptu meal was, without a doubt, the most authentic home-style Italian cuisine I have experience in at least 25 years. The love that created this amazing meal was evident in every ethereal bite. Fresh, flavourful and substantial. A food snobs trifecta! With the added level of true family-style service, you can not do any better! Addendum: As I was departing, Antoine sweetly invited me to return. My words were as heartfelt as their initial greeting: ‘If I don’t walk out that door and get hit by a truck, I’ll be back!’ See you at Paulo’s!

We used to visit Paolo's regularly when we lived near Picton. We ate there tonight for first time in 15 years and it was ss good as we remembered. Food was great, service was quick and prices reaonable.
