Review Happy Hotpot - Point Cook

Stanley Ye
A great Hot Pot restaurant to visit in the outer western suburbs. Reasonable pricing at $3.50 per 100 grams. Spending $25 will fill up a very hungry person easily. The food was delicious, I got noodles with a combination of seafood. The mild spicy soup had just the right amount of spice and flavour. There are a lot of options to choose from. Customer service is also good, I saw the person working at the front counter explaining to first-timers on how Hot Pot works in a friendly manner. Would highly recommend!

Wide selection of items to include in your hotpot. Good place to try for your first time and the price is not ridiculous.

Our go to place on a cold winter night/when you are craving something hot and spicy! You can't be bored with the options of bases and stuffing you have. The guy in the counter is so friendly and accommodating! Helped me fix my soup once when I ordered a very spicy one . Went there atleast 6 times from memory.

One of the best Hotpot's I have had. Tucked away in point cook. Mild Spicy is the best balance I have had anywhere. Lovely people and always busy, even take away is just as good

Came here for the first time tonight and it was fantastic ! The owner/ manager took the time to explain how it all works and the idea behind the restaurant. Quality of the ingredients was amazing, all very fresh. Will definitely come back here!

Happy Hot Pot is very busy and because it's small it can sometimes be hard to find a table especially for a big group.

During this visit we were a group of 16 and although the place doesn't do bookings they prepared a large table for us as we called the day before. HOWEVER, make sure your entire party arrives on time as the restaurant is not obliged to keep the tables vacant for the rest of your party as there's many customers.

The selection of ingredients is very wide and fresh and there are tongs for each ingredient to prevent contamination (from memory there wasn't any port ingredients so it may be halal but call to double check!!). There are many soup bases and a vegan one as well (there's a sign that says they can cater to your dietary requirements).

Regarding cost, it's minimum $11.something per bowl (or minimum 400g) which is cheap in comparison to some other hot pot places. Would definitely recommend and come many more times.

You can create any hot pot you want. You literally take a bowl from the entrance and take your ingredients. Then you pay by weight and choose your soup base.

Although i’m not a fan of the ingredients being exposed by the open air and it is near the door, this allows bacteria and flies to come and touch the food.

Other than that the staff were friendly, would come again on a chilly day!
