Review Jamaica Blue Point Cook - Point Cook

Have visited Jamaica Blue twice, one of the best coffee place. This time, got a chance to try their Mars Bar Chocolate Cake/Brownie, omg this was top notch stuff. It has become my favorite and must try dessert. This cafe has been added to my favorites, gonna visit again and again.

My wife and I went to have breakfast here, my wife asked one of the staff members if there were any available free tables for us to have breakfast and the staff member answered "I can't do anything about it." This is poor customer service. After we found an available table ourselves we had to wait for 50 minutes for our meals to arrive, no one came to advise us until our coffees were delivered, this was after 45 minutes. We will not be returning again.

Had to update my rating. I enjoyed their big breakfast years ago. Now plate look the same but but no more sausage, single toast not 2, halloumi is smaller and price is still same. My hot chocolate is missing the marshmallow. Sorry for losing a star.

This place has great ambience and coffee is very good. Ordered Ham n cheese toast and Steak sandwich. Unfortunately Steak was so hard and I hardly had a bite of it. Given the cost, it was not value for money.

The NY Cheesecake is really delicious! It's a little bit soft & warm which is quite different from the cheesecake I ate b4! They will also give you a small bowl of cream aside. For the coffee, it's nice too but if they have a latte art would be more beautiful!

Food is lovely but the staff front of house could use a lesson in manners. They are just like drones with no personality. In the wrong business ladies.

A nice coffee in a perfect corner. A lot of people having their brunch and coffee. The service was good, and what's good is they have a big latte.

The food here is quite disappointing 😭 First time having such a horrible breakie bun, is sauce is weird to go with the bun. The side salad look so pathetic too.

We have waited 1 hour and 10 mins for a Breakfast Crepe and a chicken burger. Really feel we have made wrong choice to come to this place and we will never come back again.

A beautiful cafe. Stunning interior. Love the fact it has a kids area!!<br/>I had a very good cappuccino. See worth it.<br/>Also had the big breakfast.<br/><br/>The only down side, and the reason for my score, is the customer service.<br/><br/>There is no table service, which I think should be as it matches the style of the cafe and the prices. Also the staff are not very welcoming. They don't greet you and they seem to just not care.<br/><br/>And for that reason I will not return. I want service, excellent customer service if I am going to spend money in a cafe that has restaurant pricing.

This is one of the best cafe in Melbourne I've ever visited. The decoration is really peaceful and relax. I especially love the service quality here, the employees are so friendly and enthusiastic. The waitress also reminded me about my free coffee. I recommend you to try chai latte and iced latte here. The iced chocolate is way too sweet for me.

Well the coffee is really good and the meals are nice but I think it's a Cafe not a restaurant and the prices should reflect this, but apart from this the staff are friendly and a country feel interior is great.

Been seeing posts about this interesting blue latte drink all over instagram and had to try one! At first I thought it was actually latte but instead it's white chocolate made blue 😮 the drink itself was quite sweet as I kept drinking but other than that it was creamy and frothy like it should be 😊

Quite a nice little cafe, with plenty of space to sit inside and outside the cafe. Nice play area for kids inside. Food and coffee was good too. I liked the seating outside, nice booth area.

Never disappoints! Feel free to tell them your request/s<br/>and as long as its reasonable, they'd glady do it for you!!!!<br/><br/>Try the desserts and drinks too!

Average coffee and average food at an above average price. Perhaps Sunday mornings are busy for them but the Light Breakfast arrived stone cold with the Big Breakfast only faring slightly better. Will only be returning for the drinks.

Comfortable and clean cafe, has plenty of seats to choose either indoor and outdoor.<br/>I had a decent latte, slightly diluted but the taste was okay and the temperature was just nice.<br/>Almond croissant was warmly toasted, and they served it with whipped cream. The filling was a bit too sweet for my liking, but I had it with coffee and in the end I find it was alright.<br/><br/>Staff were attentive and friendly. Will I come back again? I might!

Went there with bunch of colleagues. The cafe is very cozy but the food was not so impressive. Ordered potato hash but nothing surprised. However it’s a good spot to chill for coffee.

Yummy coffee, nice seating area and I love the fact that they have a small play space for the kids. So the parents can have a coffee while the kids have a play.

Soy lattes are up there with the best, I didn't order any food just a takeaway coffee. The menu looks similar to coffee club with selection and similar price. Would come back for soy coffees in the future

This place is my local go to in the event I need a quick breakfast. I dislike chains but 80% of the time it is pretty reasonable.One of my turn offs is counter service as I much prefer table service. I would say that the prices are not cheap given it is counter service. I had the smashed avo and had my eggs scrambled . Some times they charge me an extra $1 and sometimes they don't. The food is good and the portion size is very generous. I do think the bacon is not always of the best quality and can be thick and chewy ( I wonder if sometimes it is deepfried) . If I was going to give the business it would be to check all crockery for stains and chips. These simple things can be a real turn off. Some of the waiters seem rushed and many don't appear happy. I wouldn't say they aren't polite or friendly though. The waiter bottles always appear dirty and the glasses are never polished and are usually warm with significant water marks on them. I just think a few things could be refined but definitely worth a visit.

I went here yesterday and it was amazing. The vibe was really relaxed and the staff were friendly. I got an iced coffee and chicken Caesar burger. The burger was awesome. It was so delicious and the iced coffee was strong.

One of our favourites, we eat here on a regular basis. Great selection to choose from, Avocado Smash being a personal favourite. Kid friendly with a good selection of food and a small play area. Staff friendly and helpful. Yummy food when you feel like a treat.

Went for breakfast on a Saturday, Never going back. The lady who took the order needs to know how to smile, she was behaving like she was doing a favor on us by taking the order.<br/><br/>The ambiance is nice, but the food is nowhere as good as the price you pay for it.

We love coming here! Haven't had a bad breakfast once and we have Saturday brunch here every few weeks. Eggs benedict are always good, big breakfast very generous and I can never go past pancakes! Great coffee and service! Very generous with portions of "extras" on breakfasts too like bacon and hash browns. This is our go-to spot in point cook, much better food and nicer ambience than coffee club. :)

Only thing I like there is their coffee.

Breakfast. Poor customer service, long wait and not hygienic! I came here for breakfast, and was served hard boiled poached eggs, with avocado. I kindly asked i wanted runny eggs. They gave me the dish, and told me the avocado was on its way. The whole way through and almost finished dish! the avocado...Never came! :( Salmon was chewy and not fresh. Was disgusting and too pricey for what they offered..To my shock, 1/2 way through drinking my juice...The cup rim was dirty. MY partner and I walked out in discust! NO PRIDE, NOT REAL FOOD and NOT GOING BACK! I would not understand if anyone would ever go back there lol.

Hated this place. Staff are so rude. They forgot to bring out an order and when i went up to ask about it they accused me of not ordered it in the first place "you didn't order that!" Im sure i did "you didn't. Did you want to see the receipt? " i said no and walked off as they tried to make me buy it again. They later came and gave me what i asked for. Turns out i did order it. Maybe they should politely say "oh you haven't got it? Ill check for you. Im sorry" instead of yelling at me before they check if i had or hadn't ordered. They seem to just go by their super amazing memory instead. Never coming back.

Very average. Pancakes were pretty dry and the vegetarian b fast my partner got was very basic. We both felt it wasn't worth our money and there is much better elsewhere. :(

Best services !. I have been coming to Jamaica Blue a fair few times both during the week and weekend. I can say without a doubt that they have made it their number one priority to take care of us customers and to ensure we have a great experience with them. As humans , we always make mistakes. During the weekends the cafe is always busy and packed. Yes, sometimes the staff make minor mistakes during the weekend, but they always make sure customers leave with a smile on their faces and can guarantee that they will be returning again for another meal

Mobile review. I don't think a lot of people on here that have written reviews have actually worked in hospitality before. The hospitality industry is a crazy one as apparently ' the customer is always right ' which in some cases is not true at all. I have been in the store a few times and work in hospitality myself. The staff work super hard and make the customer their number 1 priority. Maybe if customers weren't so grumpy, their experience at Jamaica blue would be a better one.

Good enuff. Will come back.. Warda, the local franchisee holder kniws her mistakes and shortfalls and tries her best to improve and look after her customers in the best way she can. As for me, she gave us some extra food and refunded half the money we had paid.<br/><br/>I wasnt having a great first meal here. For Warda, I have promised to come back again. Being from food industry, I understabd the hardship we all go through. Wish her all the best.

It's a bit touch and go. The staff are nice enough but never really seem to know what they're doing. Stuffed up my order numerous times. New waiter walks at around like he's depressed. You won't get a word out of him. Very pricey. You'd think you were dining in toorak. $8.50 for chips is ridiculous. But the food is rather good as is the coffee and the only thing that keeps me coming back is the ambiance and the kids corner

A good place to chill out. My husband and I really enjoy coming here having brunch on Saturday afternoon. The food has being really good and the coffee is good too. I don't have any complaints about this lovely coffee shop. We will certainly come again often. I think the rating should be more then what is right now.

Yuck!!. Ordered their mediterenian pasta pene chicken, it was served cold, they must have forgotten to heat it up in the microwave. I complained to the waitress to cook me a new one, and after 2 minutes!!!! yes after 2 minutes of wait I would have thought they would serve me freshly cook pasta, and its still the same cold, inedible meal, never heard any apologies from the owner! compared to the one in werribee plaza, it was served freshly cooked.

Coffee is never hot enough.

Nice decor like a tommy Bahamas or A&F. Portions and pricing are right sized. Surprisingly cold for freshly prepared food. The crepe was cold and the avocado mash was more bacon and soggy bread. The lady at the counter should learn to be more welcoming and approachable

Local area gem. I have been coming to Jamaica blue for a few months now. it might be a bit pricey but its worth the great tasting food and best coffee in the area. Their chicken pesto wrap is THE BEST!!! love the cafe ambiance. Good Job overall...will be returning back as per usual.

Coffee was like warm. Or.... Coffee was like warm. <br/><br/>Ordered eggs benedict with extra bacon, arrived with two rashers of bacon. Asked the waiter where the extra bacon ($4 extra) was and told that it was in there. Extremely overpriced but it did taste good.

Goldie. For quite a few weeks now, my wife and I have been visiting Jamaica Blue at Point Cook almost every day, and usually once in the morning and then again during afternoon/evening. The staff are great! We really appreciate the warm, friendly, welcoming atmosphere - especially the excellent customer service from the new owners/managers during their first month at the helm. The barristers make our coffee just right! That's a huge plus for JB, as it's very difficult to get a consistently "good" cup of cappuccino anywhere nowadays. They serve scrumptious, crisp chips (not French fries!) with tomato chutney and a sprinkle of paprika. Their warm lemon muffin with cream is yummy!

Went there today. Had a lovely experience! I have had a avocado smash before in there and absolutely love it. Already came twice for it! The crew is friendly and the coffee is the best in the area. Will come back defiantly :)

Terrible. I had a similar experience with the previous review about the avacado smash. Expecting to to be covered in avacado it was a shock to find only a few tiny squares of avacado. My friend ordered the pancakes and the menu states pancakes with strawberries, when they came out th pancakes were covered in frozen raspberries straight out of the packet and the pancakes themselves were bland and I could not eat it. Based on this experience I think the restaurant is making alterations the menu to save money but is providing a disappointing experience to customers who like me won't be back! Also there are a lot of young staff who are inexperienced and constantly asking for reassurance and assistance from more experienced team members. The barista is great and the only positive about this whole experience!

When I went to the point cook restaurant for breakfast. I ordered the avocado smash. It was the worst breakfast I've ever had! Thinking about to now still<br/>Makes me feel ill. My plate had 5 pieces of brown avocado on it. Around soggy tomatoes which seemed<br/>To be smothered in sweet chilli sauce? Which then made all the toast soggy. Just awful! On the up side the coffee was nice. I'd recommend coffee but pass on the breakfast!

I have enjoyed my meals at Jamaica blue yes they can be a bit pricey but so is everything else these days and if people are complaining about 1 cup of coffee there is double amount of people enjoying their coffee keep up the good work Jamaica blue staff you's are awesome

A warm cup of milk and coffee granules doesn't count as a coffee...it's got a good concept but in need of actual baristas.

Staff are lovely and go out of their way to help, it's pricey, but so is everything in TC these days.

I had a reg latte with sugar - it was absolutely terrible! A very disappointing attempt for a coffee. Will never be back.

Disappointing and lacklustre. Coffee & beverages were ok but the breakfast is overpriced and unimpressive. We found some egg shell in our poached egg and our roast potatoes tasted like they were microwaved. Furthermore, portion sizes were tiny for the price you pay. Save your money and go else where. We were very disappointed.
