Review Korean Grill House - Point Cook

went to this place tonight, fresh and yummy barbecue. Good sides too. At the start, the staff was attentive enough but some still needs to be trained (there was one lady she doesnt know what to do) but all in all great! Recommendation was just right for 2 people

We walked in without a reservation on a Saturday night, and after some number crunching we were offered I place (I suggest reserving). The restaurant was very welcoming, the food was the right portion and fantastic tastes. It has already become my new local favorite.

Went to this place past weekend. The last time I visited Melbourne 4 years ago. Both the times, the food was stupendous. The Grill is a bit on the expensive side but is worth every penny. I really enjoyed eating at this place. The staff is very good. The place is clean. Fair warning, Do not ask for the hot sauce. I can eat any hot sauce usually but the one I got here made me cry, haha. Would definitely visit this place again.

First time to this place amazing and can't stop talking about it, we had our meal cooked with a table of 3 adults 6 children

We ordered the Wagyu set for 2 and it didn’t fail us. Empty bowls, happy tummies.

Firstly, the service was great. Staff were friendly, polite, and helpful. We ordered 2 of the BBQ sets, japchae, and pork bulgogi. Can't go wrong with pork belly and wagyu meat for bbq. The bulgogi though was extremely sweet that even a sweet loving person found it too sweet for her. As for me, I could only a tiny bit of it. Japchae was alright and slightly on the sweet side.

We tried the 2 person beef set menu and the prawn dish for the kid. Everyone in the restaurant, is really welcoming and helpful. The food has no extreme taste, so you can add the sides you want. We tried the extremely hot chilli Sauce ( they made it from 4 chilies), which is the most hot chili have ever tried. The manager came to check on us, which is a great experience itself. Highly recommended.

The service was great. We enjoyed the Japchae with Beef, but the KGH fried chicken was a bit dry and some pieces were more crust than chicken. We are looking forward to trying the Bibimbap next time.

Dine here on Thursday night and was happy say it was a great experience. Will do back again

The best La Galbi ribs around, so juicy and tender and perfectly cooked by our waitress. Excellent quality food and solid service. A must try in Point Cook.

Great korean BBQ in Point Cook, never been before and was pleasantly surprised by the high standards of food and service. A must return experience.

Great take away, always fresh and quick service. The beef Bibimbap is to die for.

Most amazing combination of flavours and great service. I highly recommend this restaurant and compliments to the chef!

We have been here twice now and it is a really good Korean restaurant. The BBQ pork set came with fresh pork belly strips, marinated pork neck and assortment of vegies. This set also comes with a bowl of soup, two bowls of rice, salad and assorted banchan. We also ordered KFC - half plain and the other half coated lightly with sweet chilli sauce. The spicy kimchi soup was delicious and perfect on a cold winter night. The KFC was crispy outside but juicy & tender inside. KFC was delicious but @ $37 is a tad pricier than city restaurants. Overall this is definitely our favourite Korean restaurant in the West.

I been here for the first time for my birthday and I must say that it's actually really good. I been to many Korean restaurants in the city and for one in the western suburbs it does quite well. Yes I will say it's pricey compared to other Korean bbq places. I ordered the tea, wrapping lettuce, pork set, kimchi pancake and the pear and burnt caramel dessert. Together it cost for my friend and I around 110 dollars. The food tasted so good! The flavours were there and the dessert tasted so amazing I wanted more! I will be going there again you can count on that!

Ordered the wagyu set which comes with 3 different types of wagyu, spicy soup, salad and some sides. This place has less sides than other korean bbq places, and surprisingly charges extra for sides like $2.50 for garlic and chilli. Where as other kbbq places will give you free refills of sides and more variety. The spicy soup was average. Also ordered japchae which came out in a bowl with alot of soup/cooking juices. Usually it doesnt come with any cooking juices and It was quite bland sadly. Overall this place is veryy pricey and the quality isnt the best.

Korean fried chicken was great. First time there. Didn’t get anything cooked at the table, but overall food and service was good. Our friends didn’t like one meal that much but my husband and I did.
It was $80 a couple with drinks. Will go back.

Will be booking for a 4th time this weekend. Food has been top quality each time. Service is excellent albeit, staff are standoffish at first - a welcoming smile or attempt at conversation would go a long way. Small wine menu but the wine available is excellent and some local too. The restaurant is always clean and staff are attentive to bbq's at all times. Price is slightly on the high side but does not deter return visits.

Love the marinated beef here, kimchi and side dishes etc always tasty. Not a fan of the korean fried chicken or the pork (flavorless) sometimes staff overcook in front of you so you have to cook it yourself i prefer that anyway. Order takeaway from here regularly and its always cooked well i assume the kitchen chef does the takeaway. Yet when dining in the waitresses usually overcook so they could do better.

Hmmmm...have to say that I was very much disappointed. Ordered a beef bone soup with rice and a spicy beef cold noodle. The soup was literally fluid with barely ingredients in it except for some noodles and some finger nailed size beef dice. The most interesting part is that the beef noodle was served without any beef. The meal costed about 54 bucks with two beers which is way more expensive than its worth. The one star was only credited for the soup which tasted like real slow cooked.

Standard Korean bbq joint . Meat choice was good . Side choice was below par by far . Choices of sides are lettuce and soup . Clean with friendly staff . Probly will be back

This is the second time I am trying this place, we have ordered the meat for bbq and the Ginseng Chicken soup. The bbq meat was ok but the ginseng chicken soup was too bland, service was so so. When we entered the soup, we didn’t feel welcomed as when the lady asked if we have booking and when we say NO, her face changes and she then spoke to another girl.... not sure what’s in their conversation but we did get a table. No photos taken, as we don’t feel like going back to this restaurant.

Tried their boneless fried chicken and it was horrible. The portion was so small for $30+ chicken. I also ordered their chilli flavoured fried chicken and thought that it’s the regular chilli coated fried chicken like in any other korean fried chicken place but turned out it’s just a regular fried chicken with some sweet chilli dipping sauce. Very disappointing.

First time I came here we ordered Korean Chicken (soy and sweet chilli flavour), bibimbap and kimchi jjigae (soup). I love the Korean Fried Chicken. It was tender, crispy and not dry. Great flavour. But I believe the serving was quite small for $35. My partner who is new to the cuisine loves Kimchi Jjigae. Overall, not bad. Great to have a Korean restaurant in the west. We were not in a mood for a korean bbq, next visit we’ll defo try. Service was fast and they’re attentive that night.

Fairly average food but terrible service. Waitresses weren't very attentive, and ignored our request to refill the side dishes like kimchi and radish, asked them twice nicely

Good food with terrible service
A great place for BBQ in the west
Good food but nothing really blew me away
The stand out of the night was the radish soup.
The part that dragged the night down was service really lacked. I have higher expectations of service when it comes to KBBQ locations and this place really lacked. Luckily I know how too cook and cut Korean bbq so I just did it myself but beginners that would have waited for service would have over cooked or burnt food
Could easily be a 4star place If service improved

Helpful, friendly staff. Lovely food, just enough to allow room for dessert. Very clean and well organised. A great city experience in the suburbs!
Highly recommended.

the service was okay. but the food was delicious. the korean friend chicken with sweet chilly sause was my favourite. The beef bbq set was perfect. would diffinatly be a returning customer.

The food was so good and the staff was really friendly! Definitely going back again. Plus the location is perfect since most Korean bbq places are in the city.

I came here with my cousins a fortnight ago for my birthday. We had the Korean bbq. They also provided the service to help cook our meats, and that was convenient as my cousins had to manage their young children.

I like that this place is clean, and we had personalised service. To get a table here though, you have to make a booking prior.

Very nice little place to come to with the family. Service was nice and food was great. You pay to have the experience and great service along with great food.

We've been here twice now and have loved both times. Staff servicing tables were polite, answering questions and always observant. Food was great, fried chicken and pork belly being the highlight. Need to order the Wagyu beef as the standard beef is too chewy. Love the soup that comes as part off the set menu. A little pricy for Suburban restaurant but we'll definitely be back.

Wasn't the best food, didn't find it special and the portions were huge for me. If they had smaller meals I could order it would be good because I wasted so much food and money. However, one of the men who worked there (he looked Indian or something like that) gave us great service.
Jason
Very clean restaurant and professional staff. Food was of a high standard and I definitely will be back. Their set menus have a good selection too.

Definitely recommend to anybody craving Korean BBQ 😍 Fried chicken is so juicy. The service was fast :) the staff also help you grill the meat if needs be.
Rebecca
Food was delicious.
It was a shame that they didn't have their liquor license.
Probably would have expected a bit more food for the price.
Good quality though!

The food was fresh n good quality. But the price is way too expensive. I would rather go into the city and enjoy the same food and quality for 30% cheaper.

Finally found a Korean BBQ in Point Cook area so we decided to give it a try. But it was a huge let down. The elder lady (I believe was the owner) had excellent service, but the others were just so so (based on the price we paid). Food wise was huge let down, Gingseng Chicken Soup was good, but Miso Soup and Kimchi Soup was tasteless. Vegetarian pancake was bland and king prawn from BBQ was too salty. Fried Chicken was well cook, juicy but sauce was too little, please kindly increase the sauce or else the fried chicken would be tasteless. If they could improve the quality of the food, it is a lot more worth for us to revisit.

Very good! It's new and clean. Service was good, meat was fresh, kimchi soup was nice as well. As a big fan of Korean food I have to say it's a good place to go.

Food was amazing and the staff were excellent. The place was still waiting on their liquor license so we couldnt order wine or bring our own in, but aside from that the place is exceptional. We'll be going back again!

We have been trying to check this place out for a while since its recent opening. We ordered the beef set, an extra Angus Scotch Fillet, Mushrooms and Fried Chicken (half with soy garlic sauce and half with chilli sauce). The beef set came with side dishes of Kim Chi, Onion pickles and Cucumber chillies. Nothing is hot, just mild. We also got today's soup of pumpkin base with a touch of chillies/pepper, lovely! The whole lot fed 4 people comfortable, it works out around @35per person. The only thing we wouldn't order next time is the mushrooms, for $10 we got practically 10 medium size buttons, what a rip off. And surely they can train their waitress to be more welcoming and helpful, we had 3 different waitresses asking if we were ready to order within 5 mins time, despite we told each one that we'd need some time being the first timer.

Ambience was ok, service was good. We ordered the beef set, which was tasty and really yummy! Definitely got my korean bbq fix! Then we had the black sesame ice cream for dessert which was a let down. It just tasted like vanilla ice cream with the tiniest hint of black sesame. Overall we had a good dining experience and the bbq set is definitely worth going back for!!
Zoe
Beautiful food, very good quality. Only thing that could be improved is more variety of dishes beyond typical Korean bbq, and overall service was informative, warm and friendly. Unfortunately certain staff made me feel like I was putting them out asking what things were etc and weren't very warm and welcoming and appeared to do the bare minimum service wise. Otherwise so lovely to have a korean BBQ Western Suburb way.

Finally a Korean BBQ in the suburbs!
Thank god it holds up very well. Good selection of bbq meats and side dishes. Friend chicken and pork belly were highlights.
