I visited Blaxland Inn as apart of my Hunter Valley Tour and I think the food was pretty good. I ordered the beef and red wine pie which was served with potato and pea mash. I loved the flavour of the filling, the pastry could've been thinner as it was too thick for my liking. The market fish was Barrumudi that day which was cooked beautifully!
In our annual trip to the Hunter Valley region, we went to Blaxland Inn restaurant. Since Zomato isn’t exactly a reliable source for this region, we decided to try them out based on their menu offerings. Blaxland Inn is located in the main road leading to the centre of Pokolbin. When we were there, there was a renovation going on the building next door. The restaurant itself was looking quite vintage.
Enjoyed a great lunch here - midweek. Very good service and food. Ordered a steak cooked medium and it was spot on. I would recommend trying out this place.

Had a gorgeous evening last night, it was our first visit and the food was great - very generous servings we were so full and felt bad leaving food on our plates!
All of the staff were lovely, in particular the assistant manager, Kylie, who was chatty and lovely with a big smile on her face all night. We will be back often as we cannot fault this place.

Pleasantly surprised and better than expected! Had dinner here and the setting was relaxed and warm with the fireplace in the background. The cuisine sounds like what you would get at a pub, but it's definitely way better than pub food! All the food and taste was up to standard for what it was, so it was satisfying. Servings are generous which was nice to see in the Hunter, so the price was reasonable for it compared to other places. Service was fast, friendly and attentive. Good place to drop by and check out for a relaxed casual meal, will definitely be back!
Ducked into the Blaxland Inn for lunch before heading to A Day On The Green. We were seated quickly by friendly staff. Our order was also taken quite quickly. Food was very good we had the lamb burger and the steak sandwich. Both came with amazing chips ( never under estimate how a good chip can turn a meal). Staff while attentive were not really achieving anything. We were asked three times if our meals were ok. The only real negative was when we asked who we assumed was the supervisor about a place to buy ice she directed us to the Irish pub. We asked about the shopping village next door selling ice she said no only the pub. Well one phone call to the general store next door and they did indeed sell ice. Would definitely return for the food though.

We came here a few years ago for a wine tasting while on a tour around the Hunter valley, and after seeing the steak Burger/Sandwich and being told by some patrons who had just finished one that it is the best they've had we just couldn't resist.
The steak burger was amazing with such and beautiful cut of meat, awesome relish, great cheese and an amazingly fresh long roll. The chips are fantastic.
Service was and is still awesome with great staff who are very knowledgeable on the menu and wines.
Today we came back for another wine tasting in which I highly recommend the 2013 Blaxland estate semi Sav, we dug into another awesome lunch. Today we shared the steak burger and one of their specials a full rack of pork ribs with a hickory BBQ Sauce.
The steak burger was again awesome and amazing as were the chips. The pork ribs were fantastic and the Hickory BBQ sauce marinade was second to none.
Again the servive was awesome with great friendly staff and quick delivery of drinks.
Another awesome part of this place is their own beer, Blaxlands brew co Lager! This is unfortunately only available on tap but is one of the fruitiest, crisp and most refreshing Beers i have had! If only you could get it by the case! :-(

Blaxlands Inn is clearly a pretty place in a lovely location. What's not to like about the Hunter Valley and this place is right smack bang in the middle of everything.
Fantastic atmosphere. Great wholesome food. Reasonably priced and they even have a free shuttle bus. Had the specialty pies - fantastic. Lovely attentive staff too. Will come here again.
What an amazing restaurant find. The staff and service were exceptional, so friendly and attentive, always checking on us and our needs. The food absolutely divine and great value for money. Such a full house yet the food just kept coming at a steady rate with such care and precision, I have to congratulate the chef and his staff. Just such a relaxed feel to a 5 star restaurant. We will come again and can't wait.
What an absolute delight to find in Hunter Valley. Reasonably priced, great range and absolutely delicious.
We took some family visiting from overseas and every person had a different meal. Each one was so delicious we just ended up sharing with each other.
The highlight was the beef rib. It was huge, with great sides and cooked to perfection.
Thoroughly recommend if you’re looking for great food at a reasonable price.
The wait staff were extremely polite, calling us sir and ma’am. A good selection of menu items. The food arrived in good time. The best part.. the children’s menu came with a side salad which was a great differentiating factor to other restaurants were had dined at with our children. Highly recommend.
Loved our experience at the Blaxland Inn. The food was delicious but the service was a real stand out. Greeted and seated quickly and the waitstaff really kept on eye on everything while we were there. One of our party stood up to take a photo and a waiter quickly jumped in to offer to take the photo so we’d all be in the shot, at one point I clumsily dropped my knife and it’s was quickly picked up and replace with no fuss. A member of our party had a sudden loss of appetite and didn’t touch their meal at all, the waiter came over to check that they were okay. We felt taken care of and not rushed at all.
The Blaxland Inn was lovely. The food and service was amazing. The meals where full of flavour and very enjoyable, we all wanted more except we were full. The staff where very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend the Blaxland Inn for dinner if you are traveling to the Hunter Valley. We would definitely go back. Well done guys, great work.
Wow! The service is superb. The food is so fresh and absolutely delicious! We loved every moment and every bite. Definitely coming back just for another meal at this fabulous restaurant! Thank you for such a great culinary experience.
Wonderful place to dine when visiting The Hunter Valley. Food is always fabulous. Lovely staff who always make you feel welcome. And a renovated carpark now since my last visit a extra bonus. Meals are a great portion size well priced, with a great selection of wines.
I ordered a steak meal and I hadn't had something that good for quite a while.
The meat was çooked to absolute perfection, with garlic butter to the side. The salad was generous and delicious. The deserts were just amazing and also beautiful. Lovely selection of local wines and beverages. Service was exceptional, welcoming and friendly. Exceeded all our expectations. Felt very spoilt. Worth the money which I didn't think was too expensive.
