Definitely my new favourite cafe around the Northern Suburbs of Adelaide. Banksia Tree did a Bottomless Brunch and Wine Tasting this afternoon, and it was tops! My best friend, boyfriend and I trotted along ready for a $59 feast and unlimited mimosas, but with few preconceptions or expectations, having never been to this cafe in the past. Me oh my, good brunch picking winners are grinners! The staff went to a huge effort for the event with a bottomless brunch-specific menu on each table, cute crockery & palatable amounts of information on the wines we were to taste. The interior was most pleasant, with an open kitchen, toasty fireplace and black and white local photographs on the wall. After being welcomed and seated, we were treated to three wines to taste, and our starter - a beautiful granola, yogurt and fruit delight. The mimosas came a-flowing after this with our main of avo three ways on toast with dukkha and egg, which was a joy to eat. Lastly, we were tempted with a sinful dessert of a jam donut with a gorgeous and smooth chocolate mousse. Honestly, the little touches made this brunch the best bottomless event I have been to. Everything from the friendly wait staff to the carefully selected wine, to the presentation of the mimosas, to the fact that the produce heavily highlighted local SA produce, made this experience extremely unique, low key, yet indulgent! I will most definitely be back for more events in the future, there is a dinner coming up which is super exciting!
I came into the cafe and was immediately impressed by the upbeat environment.
I ordered the New Yorker sandwich with a side of sweet potato fries and was not disappointed.
The best Reuben sandwich I could have expected and sweet potato fries cooked crispy.
Did I mention it came out quickly?

This place has become my new local!! We had their special French toast, the BBLT and the banksia breakfast. The food is incredible, well priced and friendly staff. I love what their doing about sustainability and limiting their food wastage as much as possible. We will be back asap.
Loved vibe, coffee and people. Staff is so friendly and welcoming. Everything they do - they do with the smile.
The menu looks really good and inviting. I loved the variety of hot drinks. House made matcha sounds pretty good to me. Coffee was nice and smooth to taste.
The guys use local fresh ingredients for their simple but unique menu. Excited for coming back to try more đ«đ·
Enjoyed a wonderful lunch with my family at The Banksia Tree Restaurant. Fabian and the team did a fantastic job serving tasty well presented food in generous portions. The service was exceptional, wait staff were attentive and did their utmost to make us feel welcome. Highly recommend The Banksia Tree !!

Service started out a bit unwelcoming at first, but it smoothed out during the duration of our visit and we left full and happy!

I did try to call and make a booking today and was specifically told that you didnât take bookings only walk-ins (it wasnât clarified till later when we got there that you donât take on-the-day bookings).
When I called at 10:30, I asked if there would be any tables at 12. The reply I received was âyeah we are busy now, it should be good by thenâ. It wasnât good when we got there at 12 (understandably this is out of your control, but the events that follow were not).
The waitress left us outside in the rain with a toddler as she proceeded to promptly move 2 other tables inside (and we were certain that we were there before 1 of them).
To top it off, the waitress didnât offer us a table inside, we had to ask! Even then, she said, "oh if I canât get you a table, inside, do you want takeaway instead" dismissively.
Hope you treat the next customer a bit more kindly.

Amazing service! Loved the diverse menu and cafe ethos. The food was delicious with pretty beverages. The artwork on the wall were stunning.
Was recommended here by a friend, would gladly do the same to others. Friendly & welcoming staff from the time you walk in the door. Great menu full of SA produce. Our food was delicious & coffee was great. Will defs come back to try some other menu items âșïž
Fantastic cafe in the Port with great service amazing food and coffee. Boast a Wood fired grill and the best house made hash browns. Pictured is the egg and bacon roll with Hash browns and the French Toast! Get down the Port and try this place if havenât already! !
Such a beautifully designed and decorated cafe! The moment I walked through the door, I was taken care of by a lovely woman at the counter. The food is also incredible!!
