Wow! I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this beautiful eco-lodge nestled amongst the tree tops and offering the most spectacular views of the ocean on one side and the lush green rainforest on the other. From the moment I arrived I felt so welcomed by the amazing staff and by the time I left after only a short stay, I felt like I was leaving friends behind. I can’t review this venue without making mention of the staff I encountered by name and their amazing service. Diana, Emily, Claire and Rose at the front desk were always ready to greet me with a smile and so lovely to chat to. Lincoln the porter was just a phone call away to chauffeur me around the resort on the buggy with a smile. Steve in the restaurant was welcoming at mealtimes to seat me at the nicest table with incredible views. Chef Matt creates the most amazing food in Osprey’s Restaurant and you can’t leave without trying the Spanish Mackerel for lunch. Guy the barman, well he’s the cocktail man! All of these wonderful people are led by Johan Klindt the Resort Manager who has a constant presence around the hotel and is happy to get involved with any assistance required to make this boutique resort a place that anyone would want to return to again and again. As a Corporate Event Manager that sources venues all over the world for my clients, I can’t rate this venue highly enough. This is an absolute must stay for anyone visiting Port Douglas!
Amazing place ! As local we usually stop by for drinks on ot way to Port Douglas but i have to say it s worth it to book a night and experience the jungle and the beautiful pool.
Also the restaurant is full of surprises.
The staff was friendly and the food the best we had since years!

Everything is beautiful & peaceful-the food is sensational & the staff are lovely, professional & friendly. My son has ASD & being conscious of other guests, we pre-order meals & the kitchen staff are terrific -having our meals ready upon arrival as per our request so we can eat & return to the pool, our beach house/beach quickly allowing other guests to enjoy their time at the lodge also before our son becomes disruptive �
We stayed there for two nights - it was an amazingly beautiful place! The food was fabulous and I especially enjoyed the breakfast watching the beautiful birds coming to bathe in the bird bath!
WOW!! We wish we'd booked more nights instead of staying in Cairns first, it was just amazing. We stayed to attend a wedding and it was the perfect place. The staff were wonderful.
We had the breakfast included and it's a great start to the day. The open air restaurant is very different. It reminded me of being in a treehouse with its views.
Kicking back on our balcony listening to the waves with a drink the travel exhaustion just melted away. We'll stay here again if we come to FNQ it's worth it.
Keep in mind though if you stay anywhere in the north in the summer we have box jelly fish so beaches are out however Thala has a number of beautiful pool areas to enjoy.
Breath taking views and beautiful sitting up in the canopy with the birds, lovely food and wine, very reasonably priced, lovely place for breakfast, lunch or dinner for a special occasion.
A great spot for some alone time...some couple time or family time. Loved the bungalows. Loved the little beaches to relax at. Sunrise and sunset are very much covered. Highly recommend..... love the flora and fauna. Photographers dream ��
Thala is breathtakingly beautiful! Our bungalow was roomy, had an amazing view, and was a minute walk to the private beach. The staff are wonderful and made our honeymoon lovely and relaxing.
Great place for cold drinks and a scenic view! Would recommend!
Awesome location, well kept, friendly staff, excellent service, great cocktails. Rooms clean, awesome views, private.... walks and private beach second to none. Amazing pool with some wildelife to share it with �. Menu a bit $$$$ But very, very worth it. We dined in Port and Cairns and we’re from Sydney and dine out often... not to mention I work in food flavour innovations �... but we would put this Chef and his team at the cutting edge of creativity and flavours that work!
P.S to the owners.... all your staff when complimented would name other team members that contributed.

A most beautiful setting, location and tranquility is superb.
The featured tours were terrific .. coconut tour, star gazing and cultural session, also a guided bird and nature walk.
Seats located in great positions to see dugong and turtles feeding on sea grass.
Spectacular beach.
Breakfasts overlooking cove to die for and staff so friendly and helpful.
All staff were fabulous. Our accommodation was comfortable and clean.
Thankyou for a memorable birthday and 3 superb days in a haven of nature.
Cannot wait to return.
