I have to say 10/10. Hats off to the Chefs/Kitchen hands/ Waiters/Waitress and Front of house. My wife, myself and daughter love our food and have eaten at MANY places, ranging between Hunter Valley, Sydney, Melbourne we have had our favourites which have been hard to surpass. But i have to say we have a new must to go to place. Between the 3 of us we shared 4 Entree, 4 Mains, 3 Desserts and Bottle of Red... The Menu was so enticing we had to try most of it!! The produce quality was at the highest standard, The effort that had gone into each dish and each individual component was truely tasteful. Thank you team for the experience

The food and service at The Stunned Mullet was consistently excellent and was definitely worth visiting twice. Our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and made our experience a treat. A MUST visit if staying at Port Macquarie.

The restaurant uses quite a few 'Asian' ingredients but is not bound by the rules. They have their own interpretation - the result was overall good although not always outstanding. I always order Patagonian toothfish in a restaurant when it is on the menu. Here they steamed it, and the quality of the fish itself shone through. I did feel that the fat was still locked in the flesh, which, although very tasty, would be even better if the fat was released. I must admit my favourite way of cooking toothfish is still something similar to 'Saikyoyaki' (to marinate it in miso or koji then grill it), which can release the fat from the flesh and highlight the sweetness of the fish.

6 out of 5. Superb flavours, immaculate service, lovely decor and unsuspected German and Austrian staff doing their thang! This restaurant has it all. Location, fantastic food., an amazing wine list, ambiance and impeccable service. The dinner menu is a set price for three courses with five or more options to choose from for each course. My wife had prawns, kingfish and an indescribable desert. I had scallops, linguini with prawns and chocolate ganache. The flavours, textures and presentation were to die for across board. Literally, sooooo goooood!!!! Our wine was selected from the out of ordinary list: a simply smooth and flavoursome Gruener Veltliner 2017 from Bernhard Ott. For desert we had a port style wine and a vin doux naturelle. When in Port Macquarie this is a must do! XO
