Love the rustic style! And the beer garden is perfect in warm summer time (could not sit outside this time as it was still a bit chill in the evening). Definitely recommend fish cakes. It’s home made and totally different from what I normally had with other restaurants. Chicken wings are finger licking yummy. Lots of vegan choices as well. Friendly staff. Will for sure come back.
We have eaten here many times and the food never disappoints- coconut rice is sublime and the fish cakes (not the usual flat discs) were fresh, juicy and plump.
We had 4 starters, 3 mains and 2 serves of rice plus 2 Cokes (byo our wine) with a total bill of $143 - worth every cent!
Parking out the front is easy and service was excellent.
This place should have a higher score than 3.5!
We came for dinner on a weeknight, the restaurant was gorgeous with exposed bricks. very rustic.
Service was extra friendly, and the menu was a good size. They had heaps of vegan and gluten free options which was great for me.
The food was BEYOND this world. I couldn’t believe that we hadn’t come to this place earlier as I’ve driven past it so many times.
We really enjoyed our dinner here and actually can’t wait to go back! I highly recommend this restaurant as it’s probably the best Thai we have ever had.

Very nice place very spacious. Very welcoming. I booked online with out knowing what it had looked like inside so wasn't sure on the seating but I asked for a softer seat because I'm heavily pregnant and they were lovely enough to put some cushioning down to make it comfortable for me. The food was lovely I enjoyed it. Had the masaman beef curry and satay sauce is great too! Thumbs up 100%

Hands down BEST PAD THAI IN MELBOURNE! Have ordered takeaway and also dined in and both times my Pad Thai was delicious!!!! I’ve tried Pad Thais all over Melbourne and have never really been impressed. Nothing has come close to Thailand’s flavours. Until Silk Thai! Love love LOVE Silk Thai! Thank you so much for not westernising your food!
We went back to Silk Thai and we were really impressed by the quality. We felt they had really put time into the meals, they were all beautiful in presentation and taste. Thoroughly impressed and feel like they have seriously lived their game. Would even go as far to say it’s some of the best Thai in Melbourne
Have enjoyed an in-house experience at Silk Thai as well as an Uber Eats order, and both were delicious. Lovely flavours in the curries and the peanut sauce to accompany the roti bread is nice and thick - almost pure peanut butter (yum!)
Simply amazing. Beautiful Thai food that I keep coming back for. Doesnt matter what you order, it will be fresh and spicy regardless. Great work guys

We (the family) are visiting from the Sunshine Coast and it happens to be my 18th wedding anniversary. We chose somewhere close to where we're staying (my sister's) and also somewhere that served vegan food (as I'm currently enjoying :-) a 25 day whole food, plant based vegan challenge).
The first thing my wife commented on was the tasteful, clean décor and the ambience. The team at Silk Thai were very friendly and checked on us just the right amount, not too much, not too little.
As for the food.... wow! We had vegan spring rolls for an entrée, followed by Yum Gai for the bride & I had Vegan Sauteed Green Vegetables. We both commented that our meals were put simply, the best Thai meals we'd ever eaten!! I am so looking forward to having my left overs for lunch tomorrow!! One other thing, the price... in my opinion they were fair and good value for money. There was no shock or surprises when I went to pay.
For a clean restaurant, with delightful staff and absolutely delicious food, I couldn't recommend the Silk Thai Restaurant enough.

My husband is a very fussy eater and the only takeaway he wants to order is Silk Thai. He and l both love it. Great food and service and value for money.
Excellent service and food. The green curry veg tofu was a must. We ordered the papaya salad but was served with fish sauce that's not mentioned on menu as vegetarian this is no go. Staff quickly resolved and were great about it. Will return for dishes slightly higher priced then those eats on High St. Only gripe was quite a noisy venue given its design.
We had the Red Duck Curry, Pad See Ew, and Larb Gai salad. All three were delicious. I would recommend them and will definitely eat here again. Great flavours, great quality.
Delicious modern Thai at a reasonable price. All the meals came out fairly quick, were delicous and presented well. The venue is cute and features pictures of the chef and her partners market stalls in Thailand. Was a touch cold inside. Definitely worth the visit.

Food was very tasty and with good proportion. We ordered slow cook beef curry. Nice nutty taste and so yummy! Stir fry greens are nicely fresh and flavorful. Definitely try their curry puffs, nicely stuffed up with minced chicken :)
Lovely set up and friendly service. A bit of drive for us but we will sure come back.
