Review The Cupcake Queens - Preston

Tried 3 flavours at this outlet and they were all great. They have a central kitchen that does all their baking and delivers fresh cupcakes to each outlet daily so consistency is always there. The attendants were friendly and helpful too. However, the tables and seats were dirty and sticky. The cleanliness and hygiene need to be addressed because if the eating area is not cleaned properly, what else isn’t. When closing up we noticed that the chairs were placed upside-down on the tables which had viable cake crumbs on them. Unacceptable practices.

Earlier on the day before our ice cream we indulged in a cupcake each. Plus I bought a box to take home to family. The gorgeous pink box feels something like a Brunetti Box but somehow better. Inside was a half dozen great cupcakes. A variety of flavours. Alas, they didn’t quite make the journey home in good condition due to braking hard at s set of lights - alas no pic of my expensive treat. Don’t worry, the taste was still good and my kids enjoyed them no matter how they looked. Also grabbed a coffee ‘to go’ which was not too bad either. Wouldn’t mind trying one of their rainbow lattes next time. Staff were so lovely and helped me make a choice as well as serve my friends. Note: wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly. Good parking at Northland.

The only place I could order 24 hours in advance and it was a blessing in disguise! Amazing vegan cupcakes and amazing service! Will highly recommend!

The cupcake itself is not bad. However, the frosting is too sweet even for my 3 year old. Wish they can do something like a Swiss meringue buttercream or similar to bring a better balance rather than being overly sweet. Also the staff are the most unenthusiastic bunch I have seen in Northland.

Every saturday i used to buy coffee from this place but seems like they are keep hiring juniors who have no idea how to make coffee.. their coffee tastes more disguisting every time. I asked for a flat white and she makes a half froth coffee, it was bitter and all i tastes was froth with cold milk.. not happy, will not buy again.

Chadstone and Northland store are so helpful in ordering cupcakes for a special occasion. There is a wide range of selection .Presentation is gorgeous. While your there ,order a coffee and toastie. Very nice .( Northland store ) l give my rating 5out 5 ,for the staff and service.Thank you .Your loyalty card is rewarding.

Gorgeous and Delicious, well priced cupcakes which are also available in vegan and gluten free. Macaroons are absolutely scrumptious and both come in nice boxes for gift giving.

UPDATE So sad to hear TJ is no longer at this store. She's been sadly missed by us! ❤️ She was amazing!! Been a regular customer and I keep going back because the service is superb staff are very courteous and friendly, make a great coffee and cupcakes..TJ manages the store and is a great operator who goes the extra mile to make sure her customers are satisfied!

Reasonable enough for the price you pay. Cupcakes are soft and fresh, but perhaps not as tasty as you might expect. Staff are friendly and this place is quite reasonable particularly for a shopping centre.

I needed a sweet pick me up after my shift today. Decided to enjoy a red velvet cupcake and latte.  They were both ok. Being located outside the food court with a little seating area was great to rest my feet.<br/>

We got some cupcakes for a Christmas event at work today and they were super festive. I’m usually partial to red velvet but today I felt the yummiest was vanilla with chocolate a close second. Being so small you can try a bit of everything!

Service: staff where ok I felt very rushed when ordering <br/>Food: I had the salted caramel cupcake, I felt the cupcake wasn’t really anything special, tasted a little dry and not fresh for $4 I wouldn’t bother going back <br/>Coffee: there was only one size eat in coffee which was quite small, coffee was also pretty weak so I’d suggest getting double shots 😌

Best customer service ever hands down.<br/>Chelsea and Kaitlin were amazing and were bubbly and upbeat.<br/><br/>Great energy and would definitely recommend.<br/><br/>I took the photos of them . They were happy to be apart of the experience.

The vegan apple cinnamon cupcake is yum, I've had it a few times over the last couple years. The other day I tried the banana coconut one, which isn't as good, very wet and too much super sweet icing. Would love to see more vegan options with less fruity flavours, more chocolate etc. Take some inspiration from cupcake central.

The best meetings involve cake! And this month's meet featured cupcakes from Cupcake Queens, a place we've recently heard about expanding now with six stores across Melbourne, with the South Melbourne being the newest location.<br/><br/>Fortunately within the team there's only one special person, and not a vegan, a gluten/dairy/sugar-free combo and so we ordered mostly normal ones along with dairy free. As a baker my basic ingredients are sugar and butter, and so I have never attempted dairy free cupcakes, though I'd imagine they involve apple sauce.<br/><br/>We shared a couple cupcakes:<br/><br/>Dairy free banana - Quite good for something that's dairy free, though denser than a cupcake leaning towards banana bread, it was still nice and moist the day after.<br/><br/>Dairy free choc - I didn't like this one, as it was dense - though not dry.<br/><br/>Red velvet - Omg glitter!! With cream cheese frosting this one's a favorite! Quite fluffy, though not as much as cupcake central and little cupcakes. It's still pretty good though.<br/>As someone else picked up the cupcakes, I can't comment on service, but if I was close by and needed a cupcake I'd stop by for a red velvet!

Order cupcakes for delivery. Awesome service, lovely cupcakes- same day delivery is a little expensive but super fast! Definitely recommend!

Had a lovely morning tea here this past Saturday with the family. <br/><br/>The staff are very friendly, and incredibly patient when making your cupcake decision (due to the wide range of choice on offer). The cupcakes in general were very tasty. They are perfectly sized and small enough to leave you wanting just a little bit more. The important cake to icing ratio was also in general pretty on-point so no complaints.<br/><br/>The coffee was good too, certainly not the best coffee you will ever have, but not the worst either... though certainly the best on offer in Northlands.

Ordered a variety of cupcake flavors in the mini size and at the function they disappeared very quickly. Based on how popular they were it was a massive hit. Next time I will need to order more!

Cupcakes here cupcakes there! Cant go wrong with cupcakes i say!!! Lotsa variety to choose from - from the red velvet to the carrot to the double choc. Love the option of either normal size one or mini one - but of course if u get the mini one you'll still need to get two or three haha!

Did some body say Cupcakes I am so in Cupcake Heaven everytime I go to Northland and get a Cupcake or two or three from the Cupcake Queens. I can never choose which flavour to get its very hard to decide. But I never walk away disappointed with what I eventually have purchased. Everytime I go to Northland my shopping trip is not complete without a trip to the Cupcake Queens.

I ordered a delivery of CCs at apprx 10am on Wed and they were not delivered by 4.30pm on the Friday.  When contacting CCQueens, the staff member said, "Thank goodness you rang, we've been having trouble with the courier, we'll have them delivered by 5.30".   This was to a work place on a Friday night.    My query is:   Why didn't anybody contact me to arrange alternatives if you were having trouble?  The cakes eventually arrived at 4.49pm and sensational and a big surprise, but I wouldn't have a lot of confidence in ordering a delivery again.

We sent a delivery of 12 assorted daily favourites to our employee who recently had a baby. The on-line ordering system made it easy to do and delivery was a smooth transaction with an email sent confirming they had been delivered, a time and a person they were left with.<br/>The recipient of the cupcakes was absolutely thrilled and said it was SO much better than flowers and that they were delicious.<br/>Thank you Cupcake Queens.

Just received my delivery and all I can say is WOW! Every time I order I always get amazing service and amazing cupcakes.Just look at the photos they look amazing! Delicious!. My husband and he's co workers love your cupcake so much that there's only one left for me to taste. :D they said that the cupcakes are so moist and very delicious. but I have only one tiny concern. the cupcakes doesn't have any happy birthday picks on the center cupcakes but that's alright. the cupcakes were very marvelous. definitely order again soon. :)

PROMPT PROFESSIONAL & PERFECT PRODUCT. My friend recently recommended The Cupcake Queen for the most delicious, professionally presented gift box. I was not let down - they were prompt and in perfect condition and my two recipients were rapt!

Did I get an old one?. I'm so bummed. The cake was dry, and the frosting/buttercream(?) was hard to the touch. I tapped it with my spoon and it didn't budge. I've never had a cupcake with frosting like that. I was really expecting more. Maybe I just got an old one? Maybe I'll try them again, but in the meantime I'll be looking elsewhere.
