We got some cupcakes for a Christmas event at work today and they were super festive. I’m usually partial to red velvet but today I felt the yummiest was vanilla with chocolate a close second. Being so small you can try a bit of everything!

The best meetings involve cake! And this month's meet featured cupcakes from Cupcake Queens, a place we've recently heard about expanding now with six stores across Melbourne, with the South Melbourne being the newest location.
Fortunately within the team there's only one special person, and not a vegan, a gluten/dairy/sugar-free combo and so we ordered mostly normal ones along with dairy free. As a baker my basic ingredients are sugar and butter, and so I have never attempted dairy free cupcakes, though I'd imagine they involve apple sauce.
We shared a couple cupcakes:
Dairy free banana - Quite good for something that's dairy free, though denser than a cupcake leaning towards banana bread, it was still nice and moist the day after.
Dairy free choc - I didn't like this one, as it was dense - though not dry.
Red velvet - Omg glitter!! With cream cheese frosting this one's a favorite! Quite fluffy, though not as much as cupcake central and little cupcakes. It's still pretty good though.
As someone else picked up the cupcakes, I can't comment on service, but if I was close by and needed a cupcake I'd stop by for a red velvet!
Order cupcakes for delivery. Awesome service, lovely cupcakes- same day delivery is a little expensive but super fast! Definitely recommend!
Had a lovely morning tea here this past Saturday with the family.
The staff are very friendly, and incredibly patient when making your cupcake decision (due to the wide range of choice on offer). The cupcakes in general were very tasty. They are perfectly sized and small enough to leave you wanting just a little bit more. The important cake to icing ratio was also in general pretty on-point so no complaints.
The coffee was good too, certainly not the best coffee you will ever have, but not the worst either... though certainly the best on offer in Northlands.
Ordered a variety of cupcake flavors in the mini size and at the function they disappeared very quickly. Based on how popular they were it was a massive hit. Next time I will need to order more!
Cupcakes here cupcakes there! Cant go wrong with cupcakes i say!!! Lotsa variety to choose from - from the red velvet to the carrot to the double choc. Love the option of either normal size one or mini one - but of course if u get the mini one you'll still need to get two or three haha!
Did some body say Cupcakes I am so in Cupcake Heaven everytime I go to Northland and get a Cupcake or two or three from the Cupcake Queens. I can never choose which flavour to get its very hard to decide. But I never walk away disappointed with what I eventually have purchased. Everytime I go to Northland my shopping trip is not complete without a trip to the Cupcake Queens.
Earlier on the day before our ice cream we indulged in a cupcake each. Plus I bought a box to take home to family.
The gorgeous pink box feels something like a Brunetti Box but somehow better.
Inside was a half dozen great cupcakes. A variety of flavours. Alas, they didn’t quite make the journey home in good condition due to braking hard at s set of lights - alas no pic of my expensive treat. Don’t worry, the taste was still good and my kids enjoyed them no matter how they looked.
Also grabbed a coffee ‘to go’ which was not too bad either. Wouldn’t mind trying one of their rainbow lattes next time.
Staff were so lovely and helped me make a choice as well as serve my friends.
Note: wheelchair friendly. Kid friendly. Good parking at Northland.
The only place I could order 24 hours in advance and it was a blessing in disguise! Amazing vegan cupcakes and amazing service! Will highly recommend!
Chadstone and Northland store are so helpful in ordering cupcakes for a special occasion. There is a wide range of selection .Presentation is gorgeous. While your there ,order a coffee and toastie. Very nice .( Northland store ) l give my rating 5out 5 ,for the staff and service.Thank you .Your loyalty card is rewarding.
Gorgeous and Delicious, well priced cupcakes which are also available in vegan and gluten free. Macaroons are absolutely scrumptious and both come in nice boxes for gift giving.
UPDATE So sad to hear TJ is no longer at this store. She's been sadly missed by us! ❤️ She was amazing!!
Been a regular customer and I keep going back because the service is superb staff are very courteous and friendly, make a great coffee and cupcakes..TJ manages the store and is a great operator who goes the extra mile to make sure her customers are satisfied!
